Chapter 39
Reborn Before The Divorce
âNo, no, I will come another time,â Willette hurriedly left.
Nydia immediately sent a message to the private detective she had already contacted.
âKeep an eye on Willette. If she finds those two people, let me know.â
After sending the message, she looked up and met Tavishâs angry eyes.
âWhy did you tell others that Daddy did it?â he spoke, his voice still childish but much colder.
Nydia smiled and remained silent.
âWhy are you laughing? Why arenât you speaking?â Tavish was very angry, extremely angry. He had almost changed his opinion of Nydia, but nowâ¦
âYou believe everything she says. It seems that youâre not very smart,â she said, which made Tavish stiffen.
For the first time, Tavishâs face showed such a humiliated expression. His eyes widened a bit and he looked bewildered.
âI, I didnât believe her. I was asking for your confirmation,â he retorted.
âOh, I see. You were asking for confirmation, not questioning. So my words are still fifty percent credible, right?â
âYou say what you want, but I will judge for myself.â
Nydia nodded. âTavish is so smart, you will definitely make your own judgments.â
âThe person who hurt you and me will be found soon, and we will know what really happened,â Tavish said.
He looked at her but didnât say anything, probably wondering if her words were true.
âHavenât you always thought it was me? If it was me, I wouldnât need to find that person. Without evidence, I would be safe. Iâm trying so hard to find him to prove that I didnât do it.â
âThen find the person.â
âOkay.â
Nydia was waiting for the private detectiveâs message.
Although she knew Willette to a certain extent, she still worried that things might take a turn for the worse. She had to prove her innocence to dispel the suspicion between her and Tavish.
Fortunately, not long after, the private detective sent her a message saying that the person had been found. Nydia asked him to keep an eye on the person, as she needed to find both people. Finding only one person wouldnât be very effective, and the person hiding in the lake was crucial.
That evening, Nydia found Jesse and showed him the two photos.
âThese are the two people who attacked me and Tavish that day,â she said, placing the photos on the table.
Jesse was somewhat surprised. âI found this person, but how did you find this person?â he said, pointing to the other photo of a tall man at 1. 75 meters.
âI had someone set up surveillance and saw wet footprints on the ground when he walked by. He also looked nervous and had scratches on his neck, which were probably from me.â
Nydia answered the questions calmly and logically.
âToday, when Willette came, I tricked her and had someone follow her. She went to see this person,â she said, pointing to the person in the photo, the one who threw Tavish into the lake.
âWhat are you going to do?â Jesse asked.
âIâll have someone watch him. I canât let him get away. If he does, I wonât be able to prove my innocence.â
But Jesse just snorted. âHow do I know you didnât conspire with him to frame Willette?â
âYou can call the police. I believe theyâll investigate. Even if I conspired with him, when it comes to his own interests, heâll protect himself. Besides, you need evidence to prove conspiracy. You canât just say we conspired without evidence.â
Nydia leaned in, and their faces were suddenly close. Her breath seemed to fall on his face.
âIf you accuse me of conspiracy, please show me the evidence.â
