Chapter 412: Willette Wants to Collaborate with Jesse

“I bet Willette won’t go with Jasper,” Jesse said confidently.

“Well, I’m not betting then. You’re clearly trying to trick me,” the other person replied.

Jesse wasn’t in a hurry and changed his mind, “Then I bet Willette will go with Jasper.”

“…” It sounded like he was digging a hole.

It seemed like Jesse could do whatever he wanted.

“I’m not betting!”

Jesse chuckled lightly and reached out to pat Nydia’s head. “Don’t be silly, we’re driving!”

Vergil sitting in the back seat silently closed his eyes. He didn’t see or hear anything.

When they arrived at the Malone family’s neighborhood, they parked their car in the underground parking lot. Only then did Jasper come out of the trunk looking quite miserable. After tidying up a bit, he followed Jesse and Nydia to the Malone Villa.

“Auntie, we came to see my sister,” Laura opened the door and was startled when she saw Jesse.

“With Jesse here, Barclay won’t suspect anything,” Nydia explained.

“Come on in first.”

Willette came out looking unwell despite being pregnant and losing weight instead of gaining it. She looked nervous but her gaze wasn’t on Jasper; it was on Jesse instead.

“Why are you here?” She asked as she approached them “We came to check up on my sister because you don’t look too good.”

“It’s nothing; just some pregnancy symptoms.” Willette replied nonchalantly but without much enthusiasm. However, she glanced at Jesse again which surprised Nydia who wondered why she kept staring at him?

Jesse naturally noticed Willette’s gaze so he spoke up: “Jasper, why don’t you talk alone with her?”

“Okay!” Jasper eagerly agreed while Willette looked panicked: “No! I don’t want to talk alone with him.”

This hurt Jasper deeply but Jesses narrowed his eyes saying: “If you don’t talk now there might not be another chance.”

His words hit home as Jasper immediately took Willetteto her room while Nydia observed that Laura didn’t react much so perhaps she already knew about their baby’s situation?

Inside their bedroom, Willete threw herself into Jaspers arms crying while he tried comforting her saying: “Don’t be afraid; I’m here for both of you. I’ll protect you both from Barclay.””Barclay is crazy. He’s absolutely insane. He said that if I talked too much or went to see you, he would kill my entire family and make sure I was dead!”

“He’s just trying to scare and threaten you. Don’t fall for it.”

“I came here this time to take you away. Once we leave, Barclay won’t be able to do anything about it. Then I’ll force him to sign the divorce agreement and you’ll be free.”

Willette shook her head desperately, “He…,” biting her lip as if there were some things she couldn’t say.

“What’s wrong? You have to tell me now so that I can deal with him,” Jasper demanded.

“He took a lot of photos and videos of me, saying that he would release them if I didn’t obey him.”

Jasper frowned, wondering what kind of photos or videos they were talking about but immediately understood when he saw Willette’s expression. He cursed angrily under his breath.

“He knew about us a long time ago but pretended not to know while deliberately deceiving me into being with him… and then filming everything! If those videos are released, my life will be over!”

That was why Barclay had such a hold on her – because if those videos got out, the Ruiz family wouldn’t want her as their daughter-in-law anymore.

“Should we talk to Jesse about this? Maybe he can help us,” Willette suggested hopefully since she had been looking at Jesse all along hoping he could help them deal with Barclay.

Jasper explained what had happened earlier before Willette suddenly came up with an idea which she whispered in Jasper’s ear; Jasper looked surprised at first but quickly nodded in agreement thinking it might work.

They walked hand-in-hand down from the second floor and immediately spotted Jesse talking closely with Nydia who seemed very comfortable around him; seeing them together made Willette feel uneasy inside.

She suddenly regretted sending Nydia into Jesse’s bed even though she called off their engagement afterwards.

Her marriage was now in shambles while Nydia seemed happy by his side making Willete resentful inside.

“Nydia your relationship with Mr Pascall seems really good these days; I’m happy for you,” said Willete awkwardly trying not show how uncomfortable she felt seeing Nydia so close with someone else other than herself.

Nydia didn’t know how exactly respond but thankfully Jesse cut straight through the tension asking “So what did you guys decide?”

Willete sighed heavily before replying “Barclay is a dangerous man; he’s crazy! If we use force against him then surely there will be retaliation.””When she said the word ‘crazy,’ Jesse’s fingers twitched slightly.

‘Nydia, I didn’t find out about the kidnapping until later. There’s nothing he won’t do. That time, he even wanted to…’ She paused and looked at Jesse before continuing. ‘Did he bully you? Is that why you cut him?’

‘Yeah.’ Nydia nodded. ‘I told my sister he wasn’t good, but she didn’t believe me.’

‘I was possessed by jealousy then. He always wanted to sleep with you, so I got jealous. I’m sorry!’ Willette watched Jesse’s expression closely and saw his face turn ugly.

‘Sister, let’s not talk about this anymore.’

‘Yeah, I didn’t mean to bring it up again. I just want to say that Barclay is scum!’ Willette gritted her teeth and cursed under her breath. How could she have ever thought of Barclay as someone reliable? He was a demon!

‘Do you want to leave the country and hide from him? Then Barclay won’t be able to find you.’ Nydia suggested.

Willette shook her head firmly.”I think we need to take down Barclay.”

Nydia knew there must be something in Barclay’s hands that Willette could use against him when she saw how determined Willette was.

“Mr. Pascall, I’d like us work together against Barclay,”she said.

“I’m busy right now. I don’t want anything do with this,”Jesse refused outright. Jasper did not expect such a direct refusal from Jesse. He did not know what else he could say next. Willete had already made it clear enough with her words earlier on what they were after “If we let Barclays rise again, it will cause trouble for all of us. With his personality, maybe he’ll kidnap Nydia again. Then money alone won’t solve our problems.”Willete hinted strongly enough already After pondering for a moment, Jesse asked,”How do you propose we work together?”

Seeing his willingness, Jasper and Willete both became excited.

“We’d like your help in suppressing Evans Group. We must make sure Barclays never rises again, and control those who are loyal only to him.”

“Isn’t this something your Ruiz family can handle on its own?”Jesse tapped his leg slowly, making it hard for anyone guess what was going through his mind “My parents have been pressuring me over this matter. I can no longer rely on my family’s power. But if Mr. Pascall helps me solve this problem, I will repay your kindness.” Jasper sighed deeply “You don’t have wait till later. You can repay me now.””You, you said,” Jasper was a bit confused. He felt like everything was heading in an uncontrollable direction.

“I want Acoustic Pictures to disappear within a week. Can you do it?”
