Chapter 771 Nydia and Willette settle old scores
Reborn Before The Divorce
Seeing Willette some hesitation, Jesse continued, âWith your intelligence donât think about playing us and then you get out of it, you donât have the ability.â
ââ¦â No need to be so blunt, okay?
Willette was angry, very angry.
She hated herself for not being smarter, if she was smart and with Alex as an enabler, she could have made Nydia and Jesse die without a trace and beg for mercy on their knees in front of her before they died.
âIâll take it back and write it properly, and give it to you when Iâm done.â
âNo, weâll eat and you write, I donât think thereâs much to write, after all, you wonât know much about Alex.â
âYouâre better than Barclay, he hasnât even met Alex, you have.â
Willette felt this was not a compliment at all but sarcasm.
The rest of the day was spent writing, occasionally glancing up at the cheerful Jesse and Nydia, who ate so much that she actually wondered why she wasnât fat from eating so much.
âBy the way, Leonardo, how did your face get better? And if I remember correctly, your body shape has actually changed somewhat.â
Nydia thought of Theoâs words, maybe Willette had been to Alexâs lab.
âThey approached me then and said they could help me get rid of the scars on my face and body, it was just a little more expensive, I didnât even think about it then and agreed, could it be any worse than that?â
âThen I was admitted to a hospital, like a private clinic of sorts, with a special doctor and nurse to receive me.â
âThey had given me medication, injections, and put drugs on my face.â
âI didnât feel much change in the early stage, but then they said they had to operate, I fell into a coma, and when I woke up with gauze wrapped around my body and face, it took half a month to remove it, and I was already a changed man.â
Nydia was a little surprised that it was so easy and smooth?
âDid you have any uncomfortable and unpleasant feelings during the whole process?â
âThere was, once I was given a kind of medicine, and after taking that kind of medicine it was worse than death, very uncomfortable, indescribably uncomfortable, as if something was going to come out of me, my body rose so much.â
âThe headache was also very painful.â
Nydia listened carefully to Willetteâs description and recorded all of her descriptions, the messages were still crucial.
âAnd do you have some after-effects now?â
âWhy are you asking that?â Willette reacted, feeling not quite right, why ask her this.
âI ask, you just answer, which is so much for what?â Nydia said coldly.
âNo, there is no aftermath.â Willette instantly became a little impatient.
The soup spoon in Jesseâs hand touched the porcelain bowl and made a crisp sound.
He looked at Willette with flat eyes, âThink about it.â
âThink it over and itâs not.â
âWell, you keep writing.â
Nydia did not ask further questions, but she had gotten some message that Willette should also be an experimental subject, presumably with better luck, or a better physical fit, so that she did not have problems.
But no problem now does not mean no problem later, still need to observe.
The meal took a long time, mainly because Willette thought for a long time, but the time really spent writing was not long.
âWith my contact with the people is this, nothing important.â
Jesse will only bring over, there are words on it, and a simple portrait of the character, is more cooperative.
âYou cooperate well with us, for your own sake, do not harbor a fluke, you can not play Alex.â
âSo you can play him?â Willette asked this question at first in a somewhat provocative tone, and when she really asked it, she found herself seriously asking the question, can Jesse play Alex?
For Jesse and Alexâs past, she more or less knew something about it.
âYou can see the end if you survive to the end.â
Jesse did not answer positively, but instead gave such an answer that Willette could not see through it at all and could only guess.
She thought about it, she just had to live long enough to live to the end, she knew the outcome, the best ending was nothing more than the death of all the people she hated, and she lived to laugh at the end.
After she finished writing she could start eating, but the thought of eating leftovers suddenly upset her, and it was her treat, why should she eat leftovers, called the waiter to serve some more food.
âCan you guys stay out of my business with Cade?â Willette said suddenly.
âSure.â Nydia nodded.
Willette was about to breathe a sigh of relief when she heard Nydia say, âYouâll have to pay me back for all the money Iâve spent with the Malone family over the years.â
âNydia, is that funny? You are so rich and you still care about that money?â
âEven if Iâm rich, that money is still mine, it didnât come from the wind, itâs what my parents paid for with their lives, shouldnât you pay me back?â Nydia stared coldly at Willette.
âSome of that money was spent by Cade, it canât be on me, can it?â She had to bow her head now, but she was reluctant to let her come up with that much money.
Her money was almost spent abroad, and Cade hadnât paid her yet this month, and was even less likely to do so now that she knew who she was.
Even if she lives to the end, no money is no good.
âYou figure this out yourself, I donât care, you just give me my money back.â
âHow much money?â
âDonât you know?â
Willette was just about to say something back when she touched Jesseâs eyes and she swallowed back.
Then she felt why she had to be such a wimp, they were working together now, she didnât have to.
âHow do I know how much money Cade used from you? The money I used in the first place was also something you were willing to give me yourself, and now you want it back, donât you think itâs too ugly to eat?â She really didnât hold back.
âSister, if I remember correctly, at first you told me that you borrowed it, only you didnât return it, when did I voluntarily give it to you?â
Nydia took out a book from her bag and handed it over, âThis is a book of accounts, a record of the money you the Malone family took from me in the previous years, not much, just over thirty million.â
ââ¦â
Willette looked at the ledger, the previous memories came back a little.
She didnât know when everything had changed, obviously Nydia used to be at the mercy of her and Barclay, whatever they said, Nydia basically wouldnât question it, stupid as hell, how come she was getting smarter now?
I never should have let Nydia marry Jesse in the first place!
Looking at the final amount shown on the ledger: three thousand four hundred and ninety-eight thousand two hundred and sixty dollars.
âI erased the change for you and only counted to the hundredth digit.â
Willette: ââ¦â I thank your whole family.
âI donât have that much money!â
âItâs okay, weâll pay it back slowly, installments are fine, how much you have to pay me back today, Iâll keep track of the bill for you.â Nydia looked at her with a smirk that made her want to poke the fork in her hand hard into Nydiaâs face and poke her face in.
