Chapter 799 Jesse meets two children

Jesse traveled with Vergil to the place Alex had arranged.

“Vergil, you might as well get out of the car later.”

“Mr. Pascall, I can’t let you go by yourself, I have to accompany you, two will always have a better chance.”

“Besides I have to bring Molly and Tavish back.”

That was the reason Jesse had brought Vergil with him, he wanted Vergil to bring the children back, but he was worried that Alex would turn on Vergil, it was his family business and there was no sense in dragging anyone else into it.

“Don’t worry Mr. Pascall, I’ll see what I can do and won’t cause you any trouble.”

“Hmm.”

Jesse thought of going over there first to check the situation, Alex’s target was him, it shouldn’t be unfavorable to Vergil.

Halfway there, he got a call.

“Find a place to park your car and walk to the parking lot in front of the bank next door.”

Jesse could only stop the car and walk with Vergil to the bank entrance.

This time a sanitation worker came over, “You Jesse?”

“Yeah.”

“Here are the keys to the car that I was told to give you.” The man looked the part of a sanitation worker, whether it was the dress or the demeanor or the calluses on his hands, it all represented that this was a regular sanitation worker.

“I’m going to have to have both of your cell phones.” He said to Jesse.

“We don’t have our cell phones on us, you can search them.” Jesse was forthcoming and raised his arm for the sanitation worker to search him.

“It’s okay.” The sanitation worker was a bit trembling, he was very terrified that he was approached to sweep the floor over here and ended up being given a thousand dollars to do this, he stammered and stuttered his words for fear of something happening because both sets of people looked either rich or wealthy.

Jesse finds the car with the keys and gets in with Vergil.

Inside the car was an old-fashioned cell phone.

“Mr. Pascall, does the fact that they haven’t called prove that don’t mind me following you?” Vergil asked.

“Well, it should be.”

The two of them drove according to the instructions and drove to a more remote place, driving all the way so that they could clearly see if someone was following them, showing that Alex was a very careful and cautious person.

Finally, they arrived at the place.

Jesse and Vergil were checked to make sure they didn’t have anything on them that could transmit a signal or locate them before they were let in.

“Jesse, long time no see!” Alex smiled lovingly at the sight of Jesse, “It’s been a long time, you’re more mature and I’m older.”

It had been ten years since the two had seen each other.

“Your leg is healed, congratulations, it would be a shame for someone as good as you to be confined to a wheelchair.”

Hearing Alex say such words, Jesse’s emotions fluctuated, but it didn’t show on his face, he asked indifferently, “Where are my two children?”

“Don’t be so hasty, it’s so rare to see each other, shouldn’t we catch up?”

“Catching up is fine, let me see the kids first.” Jesse’s reaction was more in line with the attitude of not knowing anything about the kids at all, and if he had acted more calmly, it would have made Alex suspicious instead.

Alex was a very suspicious person.

“Get Molly and Tavish over here.”

It didn’t take long for the two kids to show up, and when they saw him they immediately ran over, “Daddy!”

But they were stopped and didn’t manage to run to Jesse.

But Alex raised his hand and his men moved out of the way and the two kids ran to Jesse, “Daddy, I missed you so much!”

Jesse crouched down and hugged Molly, then stroked Tavish’s head, “Were you guys bullied?”

Looking at the two children’s red faces, they really didn’t want to be bullied.

“No, big grandpa is very nice to us, can like me, daddy, grandma went back?”

“Well, Grandma is in the hospital getting better, she’s fine.”

Molly was then relieved, she turned her head to Alex, “Big Grandpa, it seems like you’re an honest man, great!”

Alex smiled, being praised by Molly made him feel happy, and his whole person acted softly.

But looking at him like that brought back bad memories for Jesse, his head started to hurt, but it wasn’t too bad at this point, it was bearable.

“Daddy, are you here to take us home?” Molly asked.

“Uh, to pick you guys up and take you home.”

“Was Mommy worried about us, we made Mommy worry.” Molly had a sad face, “Big Grandpa, it’s all your fault, you kidnapped us here without even saying hello, and they were so mean, my mommy must be worried sick.”

Molly recognized one of the henchmen, this henchman was mean and had a bad attitude that day.

“Was he the one who was mean?”

“Yeah.”

“Then Big Grandpa will help you punish him.”

With a look from Alex, the henchman was taken down, the expression on his face was one of uncontrollable fear, and it was clear that he knew exactly what he was about to face.

But not daring to say anything, he went down obediently.

“Molly and Tavish, you guys go and play for a while, Big Grandpa has something to say to your daddy.”

“Is there anything that a cute little girl like me can’t hear?” Molly cocked her head with an innocent look on her face.

Alex was speechless for the first time, and for a moment he didn’t even know what to say.

“You guys go ahead and play, daddy will take you home later.” Jesse said to Molly.

“Ok, no cheating oh, cheating will make your nose grow.”

He said and put his hand on his nose making a nose lengthening motion.

“Have your assistant go play with the kids too.” Alex said.

Jesse motioned for Vergil to leave.

After that the only people left in the living room were Jesse and Alex, and a bodyguard protecting Alex, the man was a foreigner, over 5’9″, very fit, and very capable of fighting at first glance.

“Nydia healed your leg?” Alex’s eyes fell on Jesse’s leg and showed envy.

“Uh-huh.”

“You found a good wife, I remember how many hospitals said there was nothing you could do for your leg in the first place.”

Jesse didn’t want him to say these things, but he couldn’t be pushy, and he definitely couldn’t be pushy when it came to Alex or he’d fall on the emotional trap Alex had set.

He was well aware that he had a mental illness, so he kept his emotions calm at all times.

“I’ve heard that she’s a great healer, do you think she can cure me?”

“I’m not really sure, didn’t you let her treat you the last time you saw her?”

“Mostly because I didn’t trust her enough.”

Alex had only let Nydia take a brief look at his body last time, Nydia could tell that he was very sick, and he had reservations about Nydia’s medical skills.

“Now that I see him standing in front of me in good health, I thought I’d give it a try.”

Not waiting for Jesse to refuse, he continued, “Why don’t I come to your house as a guest, just so she can show me what’s wrong with me again, and I haven’t had her cooking in a while, I miss it.”

“It’s not too convenient for her right now.”

“Oh, pregnant huh, that makes at least three kids for you Jesse, you’re so lucky.”

Alex was smiling, but there wasn’t any laughter in his eyes, instead they looked like cold pools radiating cold air, as if they were trying to freeze everything around them.
