Chapter 846 Nydia Finally Returns to Jesse’s Side

They were hiding over here thinking they’d find a chance to get in, but then they heard the explosion and were still wondering what to do when they saw Nydia come out.

“Lady Nydia’s stomach!” Theo noticed that Nydia’s stomach was flat and the whole thing looked slim.

A sinking look appeared on all three men’s faces, they knew the baby had been cut out early by Fernand.

But why was it alone?

“Mr. Pascall, don’t move yet, Mrs. Pascall could be the bait.” Frederick was worried that Jesse might be impulsive.

“I’ll go over there first and see what’s going on.” Theo decided to take the risk himself first.

“I think it’s safe, the look on her face doesn’t look like bait, she seems to be scared of something and is running for her life.” Jesse knew Nydia, if she was bait, she wouldn’t have that look on her face.

“What if Mrs. Pascall herself doesn’t even know it’s bait?” Frederick felt it was still too risky.

“Lady Nydia!” he called out.

Nydia turned her head to look at him in surprise, “Theo? Fernand moved with the men, now it’s dangerous with all the explosions going on here all the time.”

Hearing this Theo had a little something in mind, he immediately talked to Frederick on his walkie-talkie.

“You tell everyone to pay attention, there should be explosions over here all the time, and pay attention to the high ground, I suspect there will be snipers.”

“Roger that.”

Frederick immediately instructed over the intercom, “Everyone pay attention and look for sniper spots.”

Places like this were too easy to find cover, once the sniper hid it would be hard to find, and once they were exposed, they could be sniped at.

“Lady Nydia, you go all the way in the nine o’clock direction, at an even pace.”

Nydia nodded and walked towards the nine o’clock direction, Theo kept looking around.

Jesse immediately picked Nydia up in a horizontal hug and quickly withdrew from his original position.

“Retreat!” Jesse ordered.

No one expected this rescue mission to be so easy, and many people were ready to sacrifice.

They immediately retreated, but while descending the mountain, they were attacked by falling rocks.

A large number of small explosions caused the mountain to slide down, and it was very dangerous for their cars to drive on the road, and they would be smashed if they weren’t careful.

When they drove to the safety of the mountain, they found that there were still casualties.

But overall this rescue was a success.

It was just that everyone felt that wasn’t it a bit simple? Not quite what they had expected before.

Nydia was in good shape, but she’d been weak since she’d been delivered by c-section, and even weaker after being held over there for two days without much to eat; she was dizzy and had ringing in her ears, and she didn’t get a little better until she was given fluids at the end of her checkup.

She drifted off to sleep, just not a restful one, every now and then her brow furrowed and her forehead sweating.

“Jesse, you take this time to get your fluids too, just so both of you can get some rest before she gets better and you go down again.”

“I have a lot of things to take care of.”

“She’s here on fluids, I don’t believe you can leave.”

“So far her problems are fine, she had surgery three days ago, it was a good surgery but the post recovery didn’t go so well but it’s not a big problem, she’s just a little weak.”

Vincent felt it was Jesse’s problem that was more serious than that.

Eventually Jesse agreed.

He hadn’t gotten a good night’s sleep in a long, long time.

Vincent had originally taken this into consideration and had specially arranged for large beds for the couple to lie together, each with their own infusion, while getting a nurse to watch over here and pull out the infusion when it was done to give them some more sleep time.

Both needed enough sleep.

Nydia felt like she slept for a long, long time, and when she woke up she was a little confused, feeling as if she’d had a very long dream, and that all the sad things that had happened were dreams, none of them real.

When she looked sideways and saw Jesse beside her, she also felt that she was really dreaming, none of those things were real, everything was fine, she was still by Jesse’s side.

Her fingers brushed across his cheek and Jesse’s eyes snapped open, frozen for two seconds after seeing Nydia, he immediately got up and wrapped her in a hug, “I thought I was dreaming when I brought you back, you’re really back!”

A word that made Nydia’s body freeze.

So those weren’t dreams? It was something that really happened?

At this moment, she finally woke up a little bit, she felt her stomach ache, that stomach ache she just got up from wasn’t a dream sensation, it was actually hurting.

She felt her stomach, flat.

“Jesse, where’s the baby? Where’s our baby?” She asked, panicking and pushing him away uneasily.

“Don’t be afraid, we’ll get the kids back, don’t be afraid.”

This time Nydia was completely awake and understood what was going on.

The memories came back a little.

“Jesse!” she cried, sobbing so hard she couldn’t stop it.

She’d cried before, during the time she’d been captured by Fernand, but it had been suppressed, silent sobs, unlike now, when she was letting out her emotions, when she let them loose.

“I am!” Jesse held her and let her cry, stopping only when he knew she had no strength left to cry.

Taking a tissue he wiped the tears off her face as well as her nose.

It had been a long time since she had cried so freely.

Her head hurt from crying and her nose was stuffed up, her voice buzzed when she spoke.

“Jesse, can we still get our two babies back?” Her heart ached at the thought of the two babies she’d lost, “They’re so young, neither of them full term, Fernand only kept them in the incubator for three days before taking them away, are they going to be okay?”

“I believe in them, they will be fine, and I believe we will bring both children back.”

“Fernand took so much trouble to take our children, surely he would have taken good care of them, it doesn’t necessarily make any sense for him to do that at all.”
