Chapter 846 Nydia Finally Returns to Jesse’s Side
Reborn Before The Divorce
They were hiding over here thinking theyâd find a chance to get in, but then they heard the explosion and were still wondering what to do when they saw Nydia come out.
âLady Nydiaâs stomach!â Theo noticed that Nydiaâs stomach was flat and the whole thing looked slim.
A sinking look appeared on all three menâs faces, they knew the baby had been cut out early by Fernand.
But why was it alone?
âMr. Pascall, donât move yet, Mrs. Pascall could be the bait.â Frederick was worried that Jesse might be impulsive.
âIâll go over there first and see whatâs going on.â Theo decided to take the risk himself first.
âI think itâs safe, the look on her face doesnât look like bait, she seems to be scared of something and is running for her life.â Jesse knew Nydia, if she was bait, she wouldnât have that look on her face.
âWhat if Mrs. Pascall herself doesnât even know itâs bait?â Frederick felt it was still too risky.
âSo itâs still me!â
After much consideration, it had to be.
Theo slowly approached towards Nydia, trying to find cover as much as possible.
So Nydia didnât spot her.
âLady Nydia!â he called out.
Nydia turned her head to look at him in surprise, âTheo? Fernand moved with the men, now itâs dangerous with all the explosions going on here all the time.â
Hearing this Theo had a little something in mind, he immediately talked to Frederick on his walkie-talkie.
âYou tell everyone to pay attention, there should be explosions over here all the time, and pay attention to the high ground, I suspect there will be snipers.â
âRoger that.â
Frederick immediately instructed over the intercom, âEveryone pay attention and look for sniper spots.â
Places like this were too easy to find cover, once the sniper hid it would be hard to find, and once they were exposed, they could be sniped at.
âLady Nydia, you go all the way in the nine oâclock direction, at an even pace.â
Nydia nodded and walked towards the nine oâclock direction, Theo kept looking around.
When Nydia got closer and closer to where Jesse was, he couldnât hold back any longer and rushed over and wrapped Nydia in a hug.
The powerful impact barely kept Nydia on her feet, but the next second she was carried into solid arms, her feet almost off the ground.
âMr. Pascall, get out of there, sniper point spotted.â Frederick rushed to alert Jesse.
Jesse immediately picked Nydia up in a horizontal hug and quickly withdrew from his original position.
âRetreat!â Jesse ordered.
No one expected this rescue mission to be so easy, and many people were ready to sacrifice.
They immediately retreated, but while descending the mountain, they were attacked by falling rocks.
A large number of small explosions caused the mountain to slide down, and it was very dangerous for their cars to drive on the road, and they would be smashed if they werenât careful.
When they drove to the safety of the mountain, they found that there were still casualties.
But overall this rescue was a success.
It was just that everyone felt that wasnât it a bit simple? Not quite what they had expected before.
âMr. Pascall, could there be a conspiracy?â Frederick wasnât too worried, that experimental base had problems before, and still left traps behind in the case of an emergency retreat, this time when they left early, they would definitely be more prepared.
âWatch yourselves!â Jesseâs mind was on Nydia at the moment, he couldnât spare his mind anymore, âYou and Theo take care of the next thing.â
Jesse drove Nydia to the hospital.
âVincent, give her a full body checkup, no, go to the OB/GYN first, she was delivered by c-section not too long ago and Iâm worried it wasnât handled properly.â Jesseâs lips were dry and cracked and peeling, his eye sockets were sunken in, and his whole body looked thinner and more tired than before.
âOkay, Iâll arrange it right away.â
Nydia was in good shape, but sheâd been weak since sheâd been delivered by c-section, and even weaker after being held over there for two days without much to eat; she was dizzy and had ringing in her ears, and she didnât get a little better until she was given fluids at the end of her checkup.
She drifted off to sleep, just not a restful one, every now and then her brow furrowed and her forehead sweating.
âJesse, you take this time to get your fluids too, just so both of you can get some rest before she gets better and you go down again.â
âI have a lot of things to take care of.â
âSheâs here on fluids, I donât believe you can leave.â
âSo far her problems are fine, she had surgery three days ago, it was a good surgery but the post recovery didnât go so well but itâs not a big problem, sheâs just a little weak.â
Vincent felt it was Jesseâs problem that was more serious than that.
Eventually Jesse agreed.
He hadnât gotten a good nightâs sleep in a long, long time.
Vincent had originally taken this into consideration and had specially arranged for large beds for the couple to lie together, each with their own infusion, while getting a nurse to watch over here and pull out the infusion when it was done to give them some more sleep time.
Both needed enough sleep.
Nydia felt like she slept for a long, long time, and when she woke up she was a little confused, feeling as if sheâd had a very long dream, and that all the sad things that had happened were dreams, none of them real.
When she looked sideways and saw Jesse beside her, she also felt that she was really dreaming, none of those things were real, everything was fine, she was still by Jesseâs side.
But why did he look so haggard?
The blue color under his eyes was heavy.
And this messy stubble.
Her fingers brushed across his cheek and Jesseâs eyes snapped open, frozen for two seconds after seeing Nydia, he immediately got up and wrapped her in a hug, âI thought I was dreaming when I brought you back, youâre really back!â
A word that made Nydiaâs body freeze.
So those werenât dreams? It was something that really happened?
At this moment, she finally woke up a little bit, she felt her stomach ache, that stomach ache she just got up from wasnât a dream sensation, it was actually hurting.
She felt her stomach, flat.
âJesse, whereâs the baby? Whereâs our baby?â She asked, panicking and pushing him away uneasily.
âDonât be afraid, weâll get the kids back, donât be afraid.â
This time Nydia was completely awake and understood what was going on.
The memories came back a little.
âJesse!â she cried, sobbing so hard she couldnât stop it.
Sheâd cried before, during the time sheâd been captured by Fernand, but it had been suppressed, silent sobs, unlike now, when she was letting out her emotions, when she let them loose.
âI am!â Jesse held her and let her cry, stopping only when he knew she had no strength left to cry.
Taking a tissue he wiped the tears off her face as well as her nose.
It had been a long time since she had cried so freely.
Her head hurt from crying and her nose was stuffed up, her voice buzzed when she spoke.
âJesse, can we still get our two babies back?â Her heart ached at the thought of the two babies sheâd lost, âTheyâre so young, neither of them full term, Fernand only kept them in the incubator for three days before taking them away, are they going to be okay?â
âI believe in them, they will be fine, and I believe we will bring both children back.â
âFernand took so much trouble to take our children, surely he would have taken good care of them, it doesnât necessarily make any sense for him to do that at all.â
