Choosing Mr. Destiny (boyxboy) [To Be Edited]

A picture of Ashley's wolf, Ariah. I hope you guys find him cute just like I did.

This chapter is dedicated to Gloomysilentreader and MystiCRoseofDeath for all the votes and comments you left. I had fun reading them. Thank you for the support, lovelies.

And belated Merry Christmas to all.

Arthur's POV

At exactly seven o'clock in the evening, we finally moved out towards our target. We crept into the woods professionally as to not give away our positions. Everyone was pumped up and was slowly driven by adrenaline. I, on the other hand, was nervous. Not because I'm not confident enough of our plan, but because I fear for my mate's well being. I know he's terrified, I can feel it as we got closer to the place Azrael held him captive. And I know he's even more scared because of the fact that he's carrying our pup. Our unborn little angel.

Just thinking that I'm going to be a father soon makes my happiness skyrockets to the moon, even with our current situation. I couldn't explain the exact feeling but I know it's something I'll never forget. But I also couldn't shrug the fact that they're in grave danger. And if I don't move fast and according to plan, I could end up losing both of them, and I can't let that happen.

I'd rather die than have my mate and my pup killed.

I shook the thought out of my head and forced myself to focus on the task.

"Connor, what's your position?" I asked through the mind link.

"We're almost there, Alpha. Just a couple meters more and we'll be by the river just as planned." He replied, making me mentally hum.

"Good. Be sure to stick to the plan, okay? And be careful."

He chuckled. "Are you finally softening up on me, Arthur?" He teased, going out of subject, causing me to roll my eyes.

I scoffed. "Not even close, a*shat. And don't get any ideas. I'm only keeping you under my pack because I know you're important to Ash."

"That still means you care." He responded back, making me try to suppress a groan.

"I could care less if you die, Connor," I told him flatly.

He laughed at that. "Don't worry, Buddy. I'll try not to die."

"There's not much space in the cemetery for you, that's why," I told him. "Now stay focused if you don't want to end up dead before even entering the mansion," I said using my Alpha voice.

"Yes, sir." He said playfully, causing me to growl at him.

I'll make a mental note to beat the sh*t out of that little f*cker once we're back at the pack.

After that, I turned to the men who joined me on this mission and thanked the Goddess for their help. I know I won't be able to accomplish anything without my pack alliances' helping hand.

"On my signal," I spoke just above a whisper.

They all nodded and prepared themselves.

I quickly shifted to my wolf and shook my fur, feeling the night's cool breeze. My ears perked up at the slightest noise, making me look up at the soft rustle of the leaves on the trees. I took a glimpse at the moon that was almost sitting high up in the night sky.

>We have to get this thing over with or else we'll lose our mate and our pup.I know, Zion.I'm worried, Arthur.Me too. But let's just hope nothing bad happens to our mate.Yeah. Let's just hope that is the case.Where the heck are these f*ckers coming from? Their number doesn't seem to grow small even after all the kills we made.I don't know, Zion. I'm not the one who runs this place. We're getting outnumbered, Arthur. What do we do?Well, I guess we just have to work double-time.We are. Then triple it.The next time you come up with a plan, make sure you also have the numbers right. This would have been avoided if you actually helped. All you did was sleep. It's probably our mate.Well, I can feel him.Don't you?The pull. Don't you feel it?Try to calm down. And then try to focus your senses on your surroundings. There you'll feel something. And that something is the mate bond.Do you feel it? Because I sure am.And I'm pretty sure the pup feels their father is close too.Yes, that was our mate.I saw him too. You're slowly discovering your gifts, Ash.Soon enough, you'll be able to control every single one of them. But for now, you don't have to worry about that. We'll figure everything together soon.Calm down. I'm sure he's alright. He's an Alpha. He's much stronger than you think.I know. But he's not alone. Delsiah is with him.I know, Ash. I don't want him to get hurt too. But you have to trust him. Have faith in him that he'll do just fine out there. So, since I'm your wolf, you do realize you can shift, right? And you also realize you can talk to me using your mind, right?Yes, you can. Every werewolf has that ability, Ash.Why don't you try?Use your mind. You have to think that you're talking to me without actually using your voice.Hi.There you go. Now, all you have to do is to keep practicing. Soon, you'll get used to using your mental voice as you talk to me.So, uhm, how do we shift?Well, since you haven't shifted yet, it's going to be painful for the first time. Especially now that both you and I are grown. If you can consider my current height as grown, then okay, I guess.Well, I'm not the biggest wolf out there either, so...So how do we do it?It's not really that hard, I think. You'll need to concentrate in order for our minds to mend together in perfect unison. But to some first-time shifters, they find it hard to concentrate especially if they're very distracted.Okay, so I need to concentrate. What's next?Just think of giving some control of your body to me and then the shifting process should begin. It's that easy?It sounds like it is, but the catch for first-time shifters is the searing pain. It's almost going to be unbearable. Will the baby be okay if I shift?Yes, the process won't harm the pup. That's good to know. So, uhm, should we... should we try it?I mean I could use a little stretching after being asleep for that long, but it's all up to you.But jokes aside, it would be best in our current situation for you to let me take over. That way, I can protect you and the pup.Okay.Let's do this.Ash?Yeah? You can open your eyes now. What?I thought I gave you control? You did.So did we shift successfully?See for yourself.Go see yourself in the mirror. Is this you in wolf form?Us.This is us in wolf form. I can also take control even when in human form, Ash. You and I are one, so we share the same forms as well as memories.Woah.Woah is right indeed. But why didn't I feel the pain like you said?I don't know, Ash. I couldn't explain why, either. But I think it's because of our demigod blood that caused you to not feel any pain from the shifting process.Well, I guess I have to thank our Goddess of a mother for that then. The banging came from outside the room. What do we do?Let me take over.I can protect you and the pup better if I'm in control since you don't have any fighting experience yet.Well, so do you. You've been asleep for over twenty years remember?I know. But it's instincts, Ash. It's always in my nature to know how to protect myself and the ones I care for.Why don't we try the ventilation system like what I've planned earlier? Maybe we'll be able to find a way out. It's very unlikely that we'll find an exit, Ash. And with a building this size, it's going to be a maze up there. So what are we gonna do?I'm going to fight our way out of here.Do you trust me?I do.<

And that's when the bathroom door flung open, prompting Ariah to strike first.
