Chapter -15

✨हर किसी को मुकम्मल जहां नहीं मिलता,

कहीं ज़मीन तो कहीं आसमां नहीं मिलता,

किसी से दिल नहीं मिलता,

कोई दिल से नहीं मिलता✨

The scent of tea mingled with the aroma of different types of dishes, creating a symphony of breakfast smells. Each member of the family, seated around the dinning table , having usual morning talks.

After few minutes Abhimanyu descended the stairs with effortless grace. His presence commanded attention, a silent authority that hushed the room. He moved with a quiet confidence, like a king surveying his domain. His gaze swept across the table, finding Aarushi.

As he reached near dining table everyone wished him and he gave a curt nod acknowledging their greetings. Just then Aarushi came there. She carried herself with a quiet elegance, her eyes sparkling with a nervous excitement. She placed two bowls on dinning table and glanced towards Abhimanyu.

As she approached her seat, a chair strategically placed beside him, he gently intercepted her.

"Allow me," Abhimanyu murmured, his voice a low rumble that sent shivers down her spine. He pulled out her chair, his touch lingering a fraction longer than necessary, a silent declaration of his intentions.

Abhimanyu gestured her to take her seat when she nervously looked towards him. He also took his seat after her and looked at his family who were already stealing glances towards them.

"Aloo ke parathe my all-time favourite" Aaryan said and quickly served himself. Aarushi smiled and everyone started serving themselves.

Aarushi also extended her hand to serve herself but Abhimanyu stopped her and said "Let me serve you .Can I ? " Aarushi hesitated for a moment but reluctantly nodded her head.

Abhimanyu carefully noticed her every expression before serving anything. Aarushi frowned when he picked up bowl of pulao so he placed it back without serving her. He served her and started having his coffee.

"Did you see " Aaryan whispered to Vivaan. Vivaan nodded his head at him. "Bhai never asked me if I had my food or not and now he serving wow " Aaryan again whispered to Vivaan.

Vivaan scoffed at him and said "Kyuki tu khane ko nahi chodta ,khana tujhse jabardasti cheen na padta hai " Everyone was watching them with a mixture of curiosity and amusement.

Arushi noticed Abhimanyu having only a cup of coffe so she took one plate and served him one paratha. Badi ma was going to stop her but stopped herself when Aarushi said " Have this ,it's not right to stay hungry in the morning. Coffee is not enough for breakfast."

Abhimanyu raised her eyebrows at her and asked "Do you made these " She nodded her head and said "I have something special for you, first have them "

Abhimanyu looked towards her with curiosity and asked " What is it?" Arushi smiled mischievously and shook her head a little. Abhimanyu chuckled slowly at her playfulness and started having paratha.

Aarushi looked towards everyone and noticed them looking at Abhimanyu with open mouth. She again glanced at Abhimanyu trying to figure out why are they so much shocked.

Abhimanyu glared at them and they quickly averted their gazes.They quickly started having their breakfast while stealing glances towards him "Dekh rahe ho kaise ek din mai waqt badal diya ,jazbaat badal diya bhai ne " Aaryan whispered yelled to Vivaan and Navya. "Look how is he chuckling and having pratha without saying anything" Vivaan added further.

"Ladki ka chakkar babu bhaiya ladki ka chakkar " Navya said to them and they both nodded agreeing with her.

The breakfast proceeded with small conversations and occasional clinking of silverware. Abhimanyu's focus was on Aarushi whole time , a smile automatically came on his lips whenever she smiles or someone praises her.

"Let me go and bring kheer " Aarushi announced and quickly went inside the kitchen. After a minute Aarushi came there with kheer and moved forward to serve everyone. She served everyone and took her seat. "You don't need to serve everyone,we have workers for that" Abhimanyu whispered to her.

"But I want to " Aarushi replied him and he nodded her head acknowledging her wish and said " As you wish love but don't exhaust yourself , you don't have to do work we have helpers just order them"

Aarushi looked towards him for a moment thinking something and nodded her head.

"Mmm...it's so tasty bhabhi " Navya praised her. " Aaryan added with mouth full of kheer "hm... She is right"

"This is the best kheer i've ever had"  badi ma said with a big smile. "It's really good beta , you are giving hard competition to my wife  " Chacha ji said winking towards chachi ji. Everyone laughed at him and praised her for cooking skills.

Aarushi beams with pride ,basking in the compliments. She looked towards Abhimanyu with a playful glint in her eyes and urged him to have a spoon of kheer.

"I hope you enjoy your special treat ,hukum " Aarushi whispered slowly and served him. Abhimanyu looked at his bowl with a skeptical eyebrow. He take a cautious spoonful of kheer and brings it  to his mouth.

His eyes widen in suprise as he eats it. His head snapped towards Aarushi who was already giving him innocent looks. Abhimanyu smiled a little looking at her with suprise and amusement.

"Intresting choice of seasoning,love" Abhimanyu said having another spoon of his salty kheer. Arushi smiled flattered looking at him having that yucky kheer calmly.

Abhimanyu simply smiles and continues to eat the kheer , savouring every salty bite.Aaruahi watches him in disbelief.

He finishes the entire bowl , a mischievous glint is now in his own eyes."Quiet delicious , actually" He said to her calmly like he didn't had worst salty kheer. Aarushi stares at him , speechless . Her plan has again backfired spectacularly.

The breakfast ended, with praising and gifting Aarushi for her pehli rasoi. Aarushi moved towards her room with her gifts. She entered inside the room and noticed Abhimanyu busy on call.

She placed her gifts in closet and mumbled to herself looking at him " My plan again backfired on me . Such a bad person he is. Ganda aadmi "

She was going outside from the room when Abhimanyu stopped her and said with a teasing smile " I also want to give you something as a gift for that mouth watering kheer" She glared at him and asked "Are you teasing me? Let me tell you My kheer was really good but I purposely didn't give you my good kheer because you a bad man"

Abhimanyu nodded her head said " Mai to hu hi ganda aadmi per ye kisne kaha jo kheer aapne mujhe di thi vo gandi thi. Mujhse puchiye, aapke hath se bani huyi koi cheej buri ho hi nahi sakti "

Aarushi scowled at him and said " Don't start your these tricks again, you can't always talk like this and make me speechless" Abhimanyu muttered a small okay and asked" Now can you accept my gift ?"

Arushi smirked and thought to tease him. " No I will not accept your gift ,what will you do " she said to him . Abhimanyu frowned her eyebrows and said " Please "

"No " she denied and started moving outside . Abhimanyu came in front of her and again pleaded " Please baby "

"No"

"Please jaan "

Aarushi bite her lower lips to control herself from laughing at him ,he was  pleading like a baby in front of her from 10 minutes. " Please na love ,you know we shouldn't say no to gifts" he softly said to her.

Arushi raised her eyebrows at him and asked " Oh... And who said that "

Abhimanyu smiled trying his hard to look innocent and said " I don't know but someone said. Wait here I will bring it "

Aarushi nodded at him and he went inside the closet grinning like a fool.

A small smile came on her lips looking at his retreating figure but she quickly composed herself.

Abhimanyu came there with two boxes. He stepped in front of her and opened them. Aarushi's eyes shines brightly looking at payal and waist chain.They were so beautiful,she always has a deep fond for Indian jewelleries. Abhimanyu heart flutter when she praised his gift " It's so beautiful,you have a good choice not gonna lie"

Arushi thanked him and sat on couch to wear anklet. Abhimanyu came towards her and kneel in front of her and asked " Can i, please " Aarushi shook her head and denied politely "No it's ok. You don't have to "

"But I want to , this is my privilege " he said smiling softly and Aarushi sighed before nodding her head.  Abhimanyu gently placed her foot in his lap and made her wear payal.

Aarushi gulped looking at him , the way he carefully slides the delicate anklet onto her foot,his movement deliberate and precise. It's as he's handling a fragile doll , each touch filled with reverence.

Aarushi released a shaky breath feeling the warmth of his hand against her skin. Aarushi's heart beats in a frantic rhythm against her ribs.He's not just putting an anklet, he's adoring her , making her feel cherished.

"There ,perfect " Abhimanyu said standing up and stepping back to maintain healthy distance between them , remembering not to make her uncomfortable.

The anklet shimmer , catching the light. Aarushi can't help but smile a little as she glanced down at her feet. "Thank you "she thanked him  smiling genuinely.

"You're welcome my love "Abhimanyu said picking up his phone and a file.

"I am leaving for office, take care and don't exhaust yourself. Let me know if you need something" He said to her .

Aarushi nodded her head and said "Ok hukum ". Abhimanyu frowned listening him. He didn't like it when she call him hukum.  She can call him anything but hukum,it sounds so formal and everyone else also call him hukum and she is not everyone,she is special. "Don't call me that" he said grumpily.

"Why don't you like it" Aarushi asked. He shook her head. "Ab to mai yahi bolungi" she said and quickly ran outside. Abhimanyu stood there silently not believing her . She again peeked inside and said "By hukum.......  Take care hukum.." she purposely strech hukum and  left from there laughing to herself.

"Ok I will ,yeah I will join from next week " I said and ended the call. It was my colleague, she was congratulating me for my marriage and giving some random updates of school. I am on leave for a week because of my marriage.

She was continuously asking me about my husband so I had to cut the call before she can say anything. How will I tell her that I got married to one and only khadoos hukum. No one in the school know about my marriage except her and Mrs Ahuja.I didn't want to tell anyone about this but one day Mrs Ahuja heard me and Priya talking to each other about my marriage , so I had to request her to keep it a secret.

She is not that bad ,she agreed to keep it secret on one condition that I had to give my free period to her for one week. It's okay atleast no one should know about this.

Hukum also wants a private marriage and he didn't let anyone know about me because I don't want that. I prefer not to be constantly monitored, I need some privacy. I don't want unnecessary attention because I am his wife.

It's good that everyone agreed with this and didn't disclose about me being their hukum's wife.Everyone knew that hukum got married but they didn't knew about his wife. It's better for me.

I went inside the closet to set my clothes. He emptied right side of wardrobe for me. I quickly set my clothes there and laid down on bed for some minutes. I thought to call mumma but someone knocked on door and informed that Badi ma is calling me .

" I will call them later " I mumered to myself and went downstairs."Yes badi ma " I said and went towards her. She was moving back and fourth in living room waiting for me.

As soon as she heard me ,she smiled  said " I am sorry I forgot to inform you but your brother is coming in half an hour to take you with him"

I got shocked listening her . Why i mean I don't have problem in going with him but suddenly what happened. "Kahi meri kheer kha ker pachta to nahi rahe shaadi kerke. Mera plan kam ker gaya. Are waah.. piccha chuta. Very good Aarushi " I praised myself in my mind.

But my joy didn't last long listening  her next sentence" Its a ritual beta, you have to go with your brother now and Abhimanyu will come tomorrow at your house to recieve you"

Why.... meri khushi dekhi nahi jaati kya bhagwan ji aapse I thought to myself and nodded my head. I went upstairs to freshen up.
