Aarushi strolled down the long corridor of their mansion, the soft patter of her footsteps echoing in the air. She wore a playful smile, lost in thoughts of the teasing banter she shared with Abhimanyu earlier.
"Batao ,Mujhe dhund bhi nahi payee" she mused, her thoughts dancing between mischief and anticipation.
She turned a corner, brushing her fingers against the cool, polished walls, feeling a rush of adrenaline at the thought of a little game of hide and seek.
Suddenly, a soft whisper broke through her reverie, sending shivers down her spine. "Is my baby thinking about me?" It was a low, teasing voice that made her heart race.
Before she could fully process what was happening, a strong arm wrapped around her waist, pulling her back against the wall and caging her in.
Her wide eyes met Abhimanyu's, and she gasped, surprised. The world around her seemed to fade, leaving just the two of them in a bubble of electricity.
He leaned in closer, his breath warm against her ear, "Now, tell me what were you saying."
Aarushi's words caught in her throat, her heart pounding as his body pressed against hers. She felt her cheeks heat up as his proximity sent warmth flooding through her. She could barely think, let alone articulate her thoughts.
Abhimanyu again urged her to say something, his voice a sultry hum that sent butterflies swirling in her stomach ,while looking into her eyes.
"I...um.." she stammered, her gaze dropping to his lips, then back to his eyes, which were filled with a teasing glint. She gulped, her mind racing. Words escaped her as she stared into his eyes, captivated by the intensity of his gaze.
Aarushi felt her breath hitch as the heat of his body pressed against her, the pulse of her heart quickening. She was acutely aware of everything: strong arms on either side of her, the way he leaned into her space, and the intoxicating scent of his cologne that wrapped around her like a warm embrace.
Aarushi breathed heavily, her heart pounding wildly in her chest. His presence was spellbinding her, and she felt a surge of confidence mixed with vulnerability.
She could see the way his jawline was sharp and defined, how his cheekbones caught the dim light, and the soft tousle of his dark hair that framed his face perfectly.
He was breathtaking, a perfect blend of masculinity and charm, and at that moment, she admired him beyond words. She could feel the strength radiating from him, the power that came from his very presence.
Every inch of her screamed for him to close the distance more.
Abhimanyu smirked, sensing her flustered state. "Cat got your tongue, huh?" He whispered , pressing a soft kiss on her ear.
Aarushi felt something pressing against her abdomen, a realization hitting her like a bolt from the blue. She looked up at him, wide-eyed. "Aa-aap" she breathed, feeling a rush of warmth flood her entire body.
His voice was low and sultry, sending waves of desire coursing through her. "You have no idea what you do to me jaan......Just your one touch, and I'm at your mercy. I lost and found myself in your touch"
His gaze shifted to her lips, and Aarushi's heart raced even faster. He looked desperate, as if he was holding back a tidal wave of emotion. "Can I... please" he asked, his breath brushing against her skin, each word laced with a desperate yearning.
Aarushi nodded, her heart pounding in her chest as he gazed into her eyes. There was no hesitation, no doubt-just a magnetic pull that drew them closer.
She closed her eyes, surrendering to the moment, anticipating the warmth of his lips on hers. She gulped when she felt his warm breath on her lips.
But just as their lips were about to meet, a voice echoed down the corridor. "Aarushi bhabhi" The sound sliced through the tension like a knife.
Instinctively, Aarushi pushed Abhimanyu away with all her might, a rush of panic coursing through her.
She bolted down the corridor, her heart racing not only from the thrill of the moment but from the sudden rush of embarrassment.
Abhimanyu stood frozen, shocked by her abrupt retreat. His expression shifted from surprise to frustration as he ran a hand through his hair, cursing under his breath. "Is Aaryan ki to..." he began, but his words trailed off when he noticed a worker standing nearby, staring wide-eyed at the scene.
With a sharp glare, he dismissed the worker, who quickly excused himself, scurrying away.
Once alone, Abhimanyu released a long, frustrated sigh. He turned on his heel and made his way back to his room, thoughts of Aarushi swirling in his mind. Her scent still lingered with his body , and the way her body felt pressed against his sent shivers down his spine.
Meanwhile, Aarushi rushed down the stairs, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. She spotted Aaryan at the bottom, a questioning look on his face. "Arey bhabhi aapko -Wait aapka chehra laal kyu ho rakha hai " he exclaimed, concern lacing his voice.
"Um..I was... running," she stammered, quickly raising a palm to her face, tapping lightly to try and calm her racing heart.
Aaryan raised an eyebrow, clearly not convinced. "Oh? Running from what?"" he asked, a teasing grin starting to form.
"Nothing, what were you saying" she insisted, shaking her head vehemently. "Badi ma is calling you bhabhi. Come on, let's go." He said and turned around to go downstairs.
She also started walking briskly, her mind still replaying the moment she shared with Abhimanyu, the tantalizing near-kiss that had left her breathless.
As they reached downstairs, Aarushi couldn't shake the feeling of what had just happened. They had been so close-just an inch away from kissing. She sighed softly, her heart fluttering at the thought.
In this past week, they had grown
closer to each other, their marriage blossoming into a calm and peaceful solace she had never thought of.
Abhimanyu had a cold exterior, but with her, he was soft and caring. She felt lucky to have him as her partner, someone who respected her and genuinely cared for her well-being.
Aarushi's heart swelled with a newfound resolve. Their one-month anniversary was just around the corner, and she wanted to tell Abhimanyu how much she liked him. It was time to share her feelings.
"I'm glad I gave this marriage a chance," she thought, a smile creeping onto her lips. She glanced sideways at Aaryan, who was still oblivious to her inner turmoil. "Maybe this whole thing will turn out more beautiful after all."
Determined, she nodded to herself. She would tell Abhimanyu that she also started liking him on their one month marriage anniversary.
After some time ~
Abhimanyu strode down the polished marble staircase, his footsteps echoing through the expansive corridors.
Just as he reached the bottom, a worker approached him, a look of urgency etched across his face. "Hukum, there are some people here to see you. They came yesterday too, but you weren't at home. It's urgent."
Abhimanyu raised an eyebrow, his interest piqued. "Where are they now?"
"They're waiting outside, hukum," the worker replied, a hint of apprehension in his voice.
Nodding slightly, Abhimanyu commanded, "Call them to the garden." He turned on his heel and walked toward the back of the house, where the lush garden sprawled out like a green oasis.
The moment he stepped into the garden, the air shifted. A group of villagers stood clustered together, their faces lined with worry. As he approached, they straightened, their expressions a mix of hope and fear.
Abhimanyu greeted them with a curt nod and gestured for them to sit on the benches arranged under the shade of the tree.
"What's the matter?" he asked, his tone icy and authoritative, leaving no room for pleasantries.
One of the men, a wiry figure with calloused hands, took a deep breath before speaking. "Hukum, a new mining operation has started near the hill above the village. They are dumping toxic waste into the watershed. We tried to reason with them, but they refused to listen. They claim to have the Chief Minister's support."
Abhimanyu's eyes narrowed. "And who is behind this?"
"Gaurav Mining Co., hukum. The owner, Gaurav Singhania, is the one behind this." One person answered
He glanced at his guard, who stood a few paces behind him. "Who is this Gaurav Singhania?"
The guard stepped forward, his expression grave. "Hukum, he owns a mining company and has a history of illegal activities. The Chief Minister is a close ally and has received funds from him during elections in exchange for his support in business"
Abhimanyu's expression hardened as he absorbed this information. He turned back to the villagers. "Alright, let's go have a talk with him."
Relief washed over their faces as they thanked him profusely. Abhimanyu stood, gesturing for his guard to prepare the car. He needed to address this issue swiftly.
As he walked back inside, He scanned the living area for Aarushi but didn't see her right away. He noticed Badi Maa and Aryan near the dining table, engaged in a low discussion.
He moved toward the kitchen and peeked inside. There she was-Aarushi-chatting with a helper. Her laughter floated through the air, and it tugged at his heart.
The helper caught sight of him and discreetly exited, leaving Abhimanyu and Aarushi alone.
"Jaan" he said, a smile breaking through his usual stoic demeanor. The moment their eyes met, her cheeks flushed a soft pink, a vivid reminder of their interrupted kiss earlier.
"Hmm" she hummed her voice barely above a whisper, eyes sparkling with a mix of affection and shyness.
He stepped closer, placing his hands on her waist and pulling her against him, leaning over the kitchen counter. "Kuch chahiye?" She asked, his breath brushing against her skin.
He hummed looking at her lips, his eyes glinting mischievously.
Aarushi averted her gaze and smiled shyly, the color deepening in her cheeks.
"I will take my pending kiss soon, but now I am heading out for some work," he said, straightening up. "I'll be back in an hour."
"Oh okay....dhyan rakhna " she replied, her voice laced with a hint of worry.
He leaned down to press a soft kiss on her forehead. "Kuch khaogi....lau aapke liye kuch "
Her eyes lit up listening him. She nodded her head , grinning and said . "I want to eat aloo tikki....um..and ice cream also."
"As you wish" he smiled, bending slightly to turn his cheek towards her. She cupped his face, placing a gentle kiss on both cheeks.
He responded by kissing her nose, a brief moment of tenderness in the midst of his tumultuous day.
With that, he stepped back and left, the car door closing softly behind him as he left in his car.
The ride to the mining site was charged with tension. Abhimanyu's guard sat in the front, occasionally glancing back at him, sensing the storm brewing in his master's mind. The villagers are in other cars , their silence heavy with anticipation and fear.
When they arrived, the mining site stretched out before them like a scar upon the land. Massive machines churned the earth, and the air was thick with the acrid scent of chemicals. Abhimanyu stepped out of the car, his presence commanding immediate attention. People working there looked at him in confusion and shock.
He walked toward the site office, each step deliberate, echoing with authority. The villagers followed close behind, their eyes widening at the sight of the operations in full swing.
A moment later, Gaurav appeared, a tall man with an air of arrogance. He approached and noticed the villagers there , a confident smirk plastered on his face. "Ah, Hukum. I didn't expect to see you here. What brings you to my humble operation?"
Abhimanyu's expression remained cold. "I hear you've been dumping toxic waste into the watershed."
Gaurav waved a dismissive hand. "It's just a little waste, Hukum. Nothing to worry about. I have already talked to the Chief Minister, you don't need to bother yourself. These people are just creating ruckus"
"Not for long and you will stop this project now," Abhimanyu replied, his voice low and dangerous. The villagers stood behind him, a palpable tension in the air.Gaurav chuckled, listening to him.
Abhimanyu rolled his eyes and stepped forward, his hand moving to the holster at his side. With a smooth motion, he drew his gun and placed it on the table between them, the metallic sound slicing through the air like a knife.
Gaurav's bravado faltered. "Huk-hukum.what-- I have legal permission to work here , you can't threaten me like this "
"Try me," Abhimanyu said, his voice devoid of emotion. "You're aware of my reputation, Gaurav. The people here are suffering because of your greed, and about the permission, they didn't give you permission to dump waste into the watershed. You will receive your legal order to stop this till next morning"
Gaurav's face flushed with anger, but the fear in his eyes betrayed him. He opened his mouth to protest, but the weight of Abhimanyu's presence silenced him.
"I can make this go away for you," Abhimanyu continued, his tone steady, "but only if you agree to stop dumping that waste. You will clean up your operations and leave this place untouched."
Gaurav clenched his jaw, frustration boiling beneath the surface. "You can't just barge in here and-"
"Watch me "" Abhimanyu interrupted, his voice dropping to a whisper that echoed with menace. "You're not the first man to underestimate me, and you won't be the last. I will ensure that you face consequences beyond your imagination if you don't comply."
The room fell silent as the weight of Abhimanyu's words settled in. Gaurav's bravado crumbled as he glanced at the gun, then back at Abhimanyu, whose cold gaze bore into him like a predator eyeing its prey.
"Ok..I... I'll stop," Gaurav finally stammered, his voice barely above a whisper.
Abhimanyu's expression remained impassive as he slowly slid the gun back into its holster. "You have one week. If I hear of any further violations, I won't hesitate to come back and make sure you regret it."
As Abhimanyu turned to leave, the villagers erupted into murmurs of relief and gratitude behind him.He stepped out of the room and left from there in his car.
On the way back, he thought of Aarushi, her smile, her laughter. He gestured the driver to stop at the market.
The soft glow of the bedside lamp bathed the room in warmth, casting gentle shadows that danced along the walls.
A cozy quilt lay rumpled across the bed, the flickering images from the television screen provided a backdrop to their calm and peaceful moment. Aarushi sat cross-legged beside Abhimanyu, her eyes glued to the screen, but her mind was mostly elsewhere-focused on the man beside her.
Abhimanyu stole glances at her, his heart swelling with a mix of admiration and affection as she scooped another spoonful of ice cream from the bowl resting on her lap.
The sweet aroma of butterscotch wafted through the air, mingling with the faint scent of the jasmine air freshener that lingered in the room.
He had agreed to her movie and ice cream request, but he found himself utterly captivated by her presence, hardly paying attention to the scenes unfolding before them.

(Abhimanyu's outfit)
"Want some?" Aarushi offered, her voice playful as she held out a spoonful of ice cream, glistening under the soft light.
He shook his head, a teasing smile creeping onto his lips. "I don't eat ice cream like this. I have different way to eat ice cream"
Her brow furrowed in confusion. "Don't you eat with a spoon? How do you eat "
With a playful grin, he pulled her into his lap, the bowl jostling but remaining intact. "Like this," he said, his voice low and inviting.
Aarushi raised an eyebrow, a smirk forming on her lips. "Acha ji....to aap kya sabhi aurton ko aise apni godh mai bhitha ker ice cream khate hai"
"Not everyone," he replied, his gaze steady as he met her eyes. "Only with my wife and I only eat ice cream with you, baby "
She rolled her eyes, but the corners of her mouth twitched upwards. "Kuch bhi....chup chap movie dekho."
He chuckled softly, wrapping his arms around her waist as she settled against him comfortably, her head resting against his chest.
She redirected her attention to the flickering screen, but the tension between them was palpable, thickening the air. Abhimanyu played with her hair, his fingers weaving through the strands, losing himself in the moment.
He pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead, eliciting a soft smile from her, a smile that made his heart race.
Time slipped by as they continued to watch, the movie now just background noise. Aarushi savored her ice cream, each bite a delightful treat. But as she finished, Abhimanyu took the bowl from her and placed it on the bedside table, wanting to focus on her instead.
Aarushi turned to him, a slight pout forming as she caught his gaze lingering on her lips. Noticing a tiny smear of ice cream clinging to her lower lip, he instinctively raised his thumb, brushing it away.
The simple gesture sent a thrill through him as he brought his thumb to his mouth, licking it clean while maintaining eye contact with her. The room felt charged with an unspoken tension that made his heart race.
"Abhi..." she breathed, her voice barely above a whisper, her eyes wide with surprise.
"Jaan," he murmured, pulling her closer so that their faces were mere inches apart. He felt the warmth radiating from her body, and his breath hitched as he caught the flicker of desire in her gaze.
"Kiss me....please," he said, the words escaping his lips in a husky whisper. He need to kiss her, he can't control himself more....
She swallowed, her heart pounding as she leaned in, pressing her lips against his. Time seems to halt for them as their lips came in contact with each other. The kiss began slowly, hesitant yet filled with promise.
Abhimanyu's heart exploded with a flurry of emotions, a burst of fireworks igniting in his chest as he felt her lips, kissing him.
After few seconds , he deepened the kiss, savoring the sweetness of her lips, the warmth that enveloped them. Every sensation heightened, every brush of their mouths sending shivers down his spine.
Aarushi melted into him, her fingers tangling in his hair as she responded, matching his rhythm. The kiss deepens, a slow, sensual exploration that ignites a fire within her.
They were lost in a world of their own, the movie forgotten, the outside world fading away. Their kisses were languid at first, exploring, tasting, learning the contours of each other's lips with an urgency that felt both familiar and thrillingly new.
As their mouths moved together, the kiss became more passionate, more desperate. Abhimanyu gripped her waist tighter, pulling her even closer until there was no space left between them. The warmth of his lips against hers, the gentle pressure of his hands on her waist, made her melt in his embrace.
He could feel the heat radiating from her body, the way her breath quickened, mirroring his own racing heartbeat. Aarushi's small sighs and soft murmurs filled the space between them, urging him on.
After what felt like an eternity, Abhimanyu pulled away, his breath ragged, their foreheads resting against each other. They both gasped for air, the reality of the moment crashing back in. Aarushi's cheeks were flushed, her lips swollen and slightly parted as she tried to catch her breath
Abhimanyu couldn't control himself looking at her flushed face , taking heavy breaths, and little swollen lips. "Sorry," Abhimanyu said, his voice barely above a whisper, confusion flickering in her eyes.
"S-orry? Why wha-- Aarushi asked, perplexed, her heart still racing from the kiss.
Before she could complete her sentence , he was kissing her again, his lips crashing down onto hers with a fervor that took her by surprise.
This kiss was different-faster, more insistent. Aarushi felt herself melting again, her body responding instinctively as she closed her eyes, losing herself in the moment.
Abhimanyu's hands were everywhere, one cradling her neck, tilting her face just right, while the other roamed down to her waist, pulling her impossibly closer.
Their surroundings faded away as they focused solely on each other, the world outside their bedroom a distant memory. Aarushi's hands found their way to his hair, caressing the strands as she tried to match his growing rhythm, her heart pounding in anticipation.Abhimanyu groaned when he felt her caressing his hairs.
Their breaths mingled, and the air became thick with passion. The kiss ignited a fire within them, their emotions spiraling into a whirlwind of love ,desire and affection. After a few minutes, she tapped on his shoulder, and Abhimanyu pulled away, both of them gasping for air, flushed and breathless.
"Fuck," Abhimanyu cursed softly, a mix of frustration and exhilaration coursing through him. But he couldn't help himself; he leaned in for another gentle peck on her lips, unable to resist her allure.
"You took my breath away, baby "he murmured with a grin, watching her flushed expression with delight.
Aarushi's cheeks turned an even deeper shade of red as she buried her face in his chest, feeling shy yet exhilarated.
He chuckled and said in a teasing tone " Aapne kaha tha pahle ki lips per hota to acha hota.... to ab acha lag raha hai jaaneman "his hands rubbing soothing circles on her back, grounding them both in the moment.
"Mat karo " she said softly and pinched his arms. He couldn't help but chuckle again, the sound merging with the warmth of their shared intimacy.
Aarushi hugged him tightly, feeling the steady beat of his heart against her cheek, a reminder of how alive they both felt in that moment.
As they settled into the comfort of each other's embrace, the world outside faded, leaving only the warmth of their love and the promise of many more moments like this to come......
