CH: 18
I Became An Omega Wife Of Protagonist's Big Brother
Aryan stepped out of the elevator. The little guy in his arms had fallen asleep all the way through the drive home after having fun at the party with other kids. He tucked the sleeping guy in his bed after taking his shoes off. Then his quiet strides marched to his own room to find Chandra. With other girls, his wife had left the party right after the tika ceremony. But as being the brother of the bride, Aryan couldn't leave immediately, while Shivam was also in full mood to have fun with the other children.
To be honest, Aryan was reluctant to see the omega, since he had witnessed his crying in the restroom right before the tika ceremony. When he had regarded his wife with a smile from the stage as he sat across from Veer, Chandra had ignored him. Hiding his face with his hair, he had left him . . . something didn't feel right, Aryan knew. The omega seemed perfectly okay until he came to the tika ceremony. A notion had sneaked into his brain and Aryan's chest tightened at the notion if he wasn't wrong. Excusing himself for a moment, Aryan left the stage to go after him because the tika ceremony could wait for a while. But in the restroom, Aryan had heard the hard sobs from one of the cubicles. The reason for his sadness was probably because it occurred to the omega finally that Veer was marrying someone else. Seeing it, his heart sank with a heavyweight. Those tears' effect on him was beyond his understanding. Aryan didn't say anything (it's not like he had had anything to say). He had come after a while, sensing that the omega had quieted down.
Not seeing him in the room, Aryan got slightly anxious, since it was around one in the morning. Not to forget his wife was sad. His strides scampered toward the terrace. Aryan took a breath of relief, finding him at the edge of the swimming pool. His back was facing him, and he hadn't still changed his outfits. The sandals carelessly tossed behind him when he sat cross-legged in front of the swimming pool.
His silent steps walked closer to him. It came to his notice that the omega was pouring himself some wine from a bottle, which he must have taken from the bar cabinet; after pouring for himself some, he put the bottle down. The omega was drawing himself in his misery. From the experience, Aryan knows that the omega had no stomach to tolerate alcohol.
"Chandra," Aryan called him quietly, not wanting to scare him.
Chandra heaved his head to peer at him, his eyes blinked at Aryan. His face was flushing crimson due to the intoxication rushing through his veins.
"Y-you . . ." His wife stammered, a smile spread across his lips.
Putting the glass down, he stood up, tripping over his feet nearly. But Aryan caught him by the waist while the omega's hands grasped the edge of his jacket. The omega's frame was small . . . too small with his height barely reaching to Aryan's shoulders.
"How many glasses did you have that you cannot even stand properly?" Aryan tightened his jaws, keeping the anger in his tone under control.
The omega cocked his head. His breath reeked of wine. Licking those alluring full lips underneath his pink tongue, the omega asked, "A-are y-you m-mad?"" his slurring words held anxiousness.
Aryan didn't know the answer whether he was mad or not. But certainly, he wasn't mad at his wife. He didn't understand his own feelings, but right now, whatever he felt, he despised . . . abhorred when Veer had never felt anything for the omega, that man shouldn't be worth the time and energy to waste. And Chandra shouldn't linger on those feelings, which put him in misery and being his miserable makes Aryan miserable as well . . . And his heart sank to know that the omega still loves Veer. Before It had no effect on Aryan as he had no expectations from his wife even if Aryan had cared for the omega (or whatever he had for him was because he had given birth to Shivam and they are married) when there was barely any love between them. But now, his feelings for his wife had changed into affection . . . love.
A sensation of cold on his face touched as his face was held with those cold hands of the omega, making Aryan to tilt his head forward toward close to the omega's face. He holds his gaze with the beautiful brown eyes . . . that were intoxicated
"M-may I k-kiss you?"
Aryan considered the possibility that he was imagining him as Veer, and if he leaned to kiss those lips, and the omega let out the name of Veer, Aryan didn't think he could handle it.
"It's getting late, let's get you in the bed?"Aryan said quietly, ignoring his question and taking those hands off his face.
A silly smile bloomed on his face as his wife demanded, "Y-you l-lift m-me."
Sighing out, Aryan agreed to his wife's demand and slipped his hands under his legs and at his back. He lifted him in his arms in the bridal style while the omega encircled his hands around Aryan's neck. Despite being small, the omega was heavy compared to before.
A spontaneous smile appeared on Aryan's face as the omega giggled in his arms. The wine in running his veins making him lose his head that he was smiling for no reason while two hours before he wept like a broken dam.
He put his wife on the bed. While Aryan took his jacket off while the omega laid on the bed on his back, turning to face Aryan.
Those beautiful bare feet, in which he was wearing the anklets were moved on Aryan's thigh. The man raised his gaze to glance at the omega; A grin broadened across his face, and his brown eyes glimmering with wickedness. A heat pooled in Aryan's body as accompanied by the melodic sound of his anklets, his feet wandering up, fondling his flesh beneath the pants with his toes, along up to his chest in a mischievous manner. That mere touch of his wife's feet caused the little devil in his pants twitch.
It was outright seduction that Aryan was unwilling to resist. But when his feet drifted back toward the hard ridge, Aryan grabbed his foot by the ankle, wrapping his fingers around it. And let his gaze fall on that flushing crimson face, carrying all the innocence he wanted to wreck.
Aryan let go of his leg and dropped it on the bed. And sadness darkened his pretty features. The omega sat on the bed and asked Aryan, "D-don't you f-find me a-attractive?" He nibbled on his bottom lip, and peered at Aryan through his long lashes.
Sucking into a sharp breath, Aryan shut his eyes. The omega was a sinful temptation and Aryan was doing his hardest to resist it but this seduction is breaking his walls. But, of course, it would be the last in Aryan's mind to see disappointment on the omega's face the next morning. He never stayed to look at his reaction. .. or rather, the omega pretended to sleep till the late morning until Aryan would leave. Their relationship was tacit understanding, where they would rarely use words and see each other. But now things have changed.
When Aryan didn't speak, the omega went on, "Y-you k-know, it h-hurts . . .too m-much."
He opened his eyes. The omega hung his head, providing the view of his luminous hair only.
"What hurts?" Aryan spoke through the tightness of his throat. Despite having the idea of his sadness, he bothered to ask.
"Here," the omega replied, his voice heavy with despair as a hand reached over his chest. . . At his heart.
There was an unpleasant feeling in the pit of Aryan's stomach. "And why is that?"
"Y-you . . . don't love me, y-you l-love s-someone else," the omega uttered painfully, flicking his gaze away and pressing his bottom lip tightly.
Aryan reckoned his wife was still thinking of him as Veer. Why the hell out of nowhere Chandra would talk about him loving someone else? Yet all aside, he hated to see the omega sad. And he would do anything to make him feel better.
"Chaand," Aryan called him by the endearment only his parents would call him. Aryan always found this endearment quite beautiful, like his beauty.
The omega looked at him, blinking at him. Slipping off his shoes, Aryan settled on the bed to sit next to him.
As Aryan held his wife's chin with the pad of his fingers gently, his eyes regarded the omega with a faint smile curved across his face. "I know, you won't remember it. . . but still you need to know that one of the hardest things I am doing is now not to touch you because the more I tried to stop my heart, the more it tried to rebel against it-"
Before Aryan was cut off as those soft lips of his wife pressed against his own, startling him.
The omega drew back, grinning, "A-aryan, y-you d-don't have to s-stop. Y-you are m-yy h-husband and I-I love y-you."
in silent shock, Aryan's lips parted.
"Then you don't love Veer?" his brows drew together with a flicker of hope.
"V-Veer?" The omega had a puzzled look on his face, then he scrunched up his face. "Why w-would I l-love him?" His tone was dismissive, as if the man was worth nothing of his attention. At least, not in a way as Aryan.
"Chandra, can you say it again?" Aryan's voice was between begging and demand, "Who do you love?"
With a smile, Chandra nodded. "Aryan, I love y-you."
A bubble of warmth was swelling up inside him because of how wrong he was thinking. Aryan never felt this joy at being wrong. His wife loves him! And Aryan ever felt greater happiness than that before. And the omega had used his name; It was the first time that the omega had addressed him by his name. Whenever the omega addressed him Sir, Aryan's inside grimaced as if he was a school teacher or his boss. He never liked it.
"Then why were you crying in the bathroom?" Aryan asked, his tender tone held a hint of anxiousness for his wife. If he wasn't crying because of Veer, then something had happened at the party.
Again, the omega stole his gaze away, looking down.
