CHAPTER XIX: BIG FISH
Why the heroine became the villainess?
"For real, I haven't known that. There was nothing about that in the books." She was truly amazed with the idea. Truthfully, in her previous life, she was not really interested in fishing. She just loves going to any form of water like river, lake, and especially beach. "I miss the wind breeze of the beach."
After putting the kernel on the end of the fishing rod, Andrew swung it towards the river.
The river's flow is tranquil, which is the best for fishing. And it is not that far from the house. Also, no dangerous animals lurked at this part. The sound caused by the wind from brushes the stems and leaves could calm the inner soul of anyone. It was a good place for solitude. Unknown paradise.
"Mike, do you always go with your brother Andrew?" She asked the little boy beside Andrew.
"..."
The boy just nodded as a response to her. He has also the same natural blush of Miles on the cheeks. Unlike Miles who is brightly and full of energy, Mike is a timid and shy boy.
The twins have both blonde hairs with dark amber eyes. Their skin is flawlessly white. They were both beautiful.
"Mike, while waiting, please start gathering fire woods.", ordered by Andrew.
"Yes, brother.", Mike politely obeyed. The little body stood up and started to look for fire woods around.
"Don't go too far, Mike.", Andrew said as if he forgot to remind her younger brother.
"Yes, brother."
Beatrice smiled sweetly seeing both of them. "Even with that emotionless face of yours, older brother really cares for his younger brother."
"..."
Again, Andrew did not say anything. He just looked at her and turned his gazed back to the river. When he guessed that the fish will take much time to be lured in their trapped, he placed the fishing rod on the ground and put a mark.
After putting the mark on the ground, he took the grovel in the basin and dug a hole on the mark.
Beatrice looking at him who was digging a hole while holding the fishing rod at the same time. "Let me handle the fishing rod."
She offered her hand with her sweetest smile. Of course, she already somehow grasped his personality so she did not wait any answer, and reached the fishing rod in his hands. She took it from him.
"..."
Without any reaction, Andrew loosened his grip from the fishing rod. He continued to dig a hole. He stood up and got a three rocks. He placed the two stones first from the side of the hole forming an arrow.
"His deep marooned eyes are so beautiful.", she thought. It was uncommon for her.
"Let me have the fishing rod." He asked politely.
"Ah.. Yes."
He took the fishing rod from Beatrice's hand. He put the fishing rod's end in the hole. The two rocks became its support. Then, he placed the last heavy stone at the top of the end of fishing rod to put it steady. He assured the firm position of the fishing rod. The fishing rod appeared that there is someone holding onto it.
"Wow, you are smart, Andrew.", Beatrice praised him.
Andrew averted his gazed. Instead, he glanced to the maid and the knight under the tree. Then, turned to her again, "Can you check it for me?"
"Yes. I'll be happy to help." She gladly said.
"..."
"How long you're going to give me that curious eyes, my boy."
Andrew stood up, and help his younger brother to get firewood too. Beatrice was left with the fishing rod which slightly buried in the ground.
Looking at the view of the river soothed her flesh. Nature is one of the best medicines for stress. Even she had somehow changed the reputation of the real lady, the heavy truth about being the villainess of the story still haunted her. She was scared that after all of her efforts, the story might still be go to its fated direction.
"Everything will start at the next school year where the male lead and the heroine meet."
In her experience in reading novels, always the male leads were mesmerized by the beauty and charm of the heroines at their first meeting.
First meeting. Sigh. Her energy depleted knowing that she has no idea where or how the male lead and the heroine will meet on that day. She guessed that the heroine might get lost at the university and the male lead found her and offered to guide her. During their walk, the male lead was captured by the heroine's charm. It was a layman or typical scenario in romance novels. Sigh. "If only I have read the book."
Remembering the cover, she knew that the heroine loves flowers and other plants. The background of the heroine in the book was holding a small grovel in a garden or a greenhouse. It was easy to understand that in the school, the heroine will join the agricultural club.
Though she decided to be one of the mob characters, she still torn between avoiding the heroine or befriend the heroine. It most likely a good idea to have the heroine at her side if things get to worse with the male lead.
Thuck thuck.
She can no longer stay in her thought. The rod started to move. She excitedly called immediately Andrew who is looking around for dried woods.
"Andrew, the rod! It's moving."
Andrew hurriedly went and got the fishing rod. He pulled it with all his power, but it seems the fish was too big to be pulled. By then, Beatrice joined Andrew and helped to pull. They looked at each other and send a signal through their eyes and pulled at the same time.
A huge fish was trapped on the end of the strings and fell to the ground.
"Andrew, it is big." She exclaimed. She was happy with their achievement. She called Marielle and Caville too. "Caville and Marielle, we caught a big fish."
Caville and Marielle were surprised by the caught fish.
"Lady Beatrice, you had a great talent.", praised by Caville.
Andrew caught the fish from the ground. He took the bait from its mouth. He then put it at the basin which filled of water now.
"My Lady, you're pretty good at this.", it was Marielle turned.
Marielle decided to stay watching with Caville, not to slack, but she wanted to let her Lady experienced it on hand as her wish. And with no regret, she was right looking the happy lady. While Andrew on the other side, looked at her with inexplicable stare.
After happily watching the fish in the basin, Beatrice saw Andrew is preparing again the fishing rod. He put a kernel on the end string of the fishing rod. He just did the same process. But at this time, Caville offered to help with the fishing rod.
Caville thought that the place was safe. He thought that rather observing and watching, it is better to help. On the other hand, Marielle stood up and picked some herbs nearby.
It was a very pleasant day for everyone.

Beatrice noticed that Mike was nowhere to be found. She stood up and looked for him.
"Mike, where are you?", she called while walking between trees. "Where did that little boy go?"
"Helloooooo? Mike??", she loudly called. Her voice echoed in the forest.
After passing some woods and trees, Beatrice saw the little boy picking some little red berries while the gathered fire woods were on the ground. "Mike!"
The little boy looked at her. When she approached him, Mike smiled and held out his shirt which the red berries lie. Cornelian cherries.
"What a cute boy?", she giggled in her thought.
"These are cherries. You're great, Mike, for finding this. We could make a pie out of it.", she praised and patted his head.
Mike smiled brightly in return. He loves being praised.
"Let's go back now. Don't worry I'll help you carry the woods." They were too far from the river.
RUSTLE. Hiss hiss
