Family matters - Faye x Yoko

Yoko helped Faith to sit down.

"Calm down na-ka." Yo said, and slowly rub Phi's back to calm her down but that doesn't seem to help.

Faith is still weeping and pouring her heart out.

"P'Faith..." Nong is trying her best not to cry too but witnessing her Phi in this state made her heart ache as well.

She started tearing up too, she has no idea what is happening in her Phi's mind right now and that alone is a concern to her. She wants to know what is up but she knows that she cannot force it right now.

Yo cupped her Phi face, she forces Faith to look at her in the eyes.

"P'Faith.. look at me. Tell me what happened?" She asked gently.

Faye eyes are locked into hers. Yo saw the loneliness and longing in her eyes, but the most prominent emotion is fear.

"I'm here na-ka." She said and rubbed the back of her hand to Faith's cheeks without breaking the eye contact. "Don't be afraid, P'Faith. Yo is here. Yo is here with you."

Faith seems to calm down with that statement. Her crying slowly stops and her breathing calm down. Yoko took that as a cue to bend down in her knees to level with her Phi. She holds her hands tightly, she wants Faye to feel that she is not alone in this.

They remain in that position for few more moments.

Yoko let Faith breath and pull herself together. When Faith able to gather herself to speak, the younger make sure that she feels safe by listening to her.

"I got scared." Is the first sentence that comes out to Faith's lips.

"I thought that I lost you already. I thought I lost my chance even before I get to know you better." Faith confessed; she is talking slowly as she wants to make sure to articulate her feelings with sincerity. "I'm so afraid of the thought that you are still with Yuki and that you are ignoring my calls. My mind went haywire with that thought alone and I never been this scared all my life."

"I'm a coward for avoiding you last night but honestly, all that I want is to get closer to you. I want to get close to you so bad and I hope that it's not yet too late. I'm so sorry. " Faith said with eyes locked into Yoko's eyes.

Yoko felt the sincerity in her.

She looked closely and she noticed something.

Are you that scared that you come here running with the same clothes from last night?

Oh! What have I done?

She feels guilty for leaving her last night and going out with Yuki out of spite. Her heart aches knowing that she had caused her Phi's fear and pain. She wants to explain her side, but she cannot utter any words to communicate.

Yoko suddenly wants to get close to her. The emotion is high and overwhelming that the only thing that could work is to pacify her own feelings first. She thought of it for a second and she instinctively look at Faith's lips.

With no hint of hesitation, Yoko moves closer and kissed her. She kissed Faith to make her feel not alone anymore. The kiss was her attempt to wash all the fear and insecurity. She wants her to feel the love she reserved for her all this time.

"I'm sorry for leaving you alone last night. I promise that it will not happen again." Yoko whispered upon breaking the kiss.

Faith smile and nods her head.

Yoko's kiss is enough for her to feel secured, and hearing Yoko's promise made her braver to make a bold move. She cupped her Nong's little face and claimed her lips.

Faith claimed her lips in full. She is hungry to get closer to Yoko that she cannot help herself but to move faster and deepen the kiss.

Fuck, Faith! You have to slow down.

She can hear her logical mind screaming at her, but her emotion won over her.

She continues to deepen the kiss by grabbing the back of her nape to pull her closer. She wants more access to her lips, and she knows exactly how to get that access she needs, she was about to do the moves when she feels Yoko's gentle nudge to her.

Shit!

Faith wants to continue but she stops herself and look at Yoko's face.

Nong stood up to collect herself. She cannot believe of what just happened. Yoko knows that if she did not stop her Phi, the kiss would lead into something else...something more.

"I know we are both high in emotions right now but help me understand what is happening here." Yoko said as she instinctively combs her hair with her hands and look herself in the mirror then look back at Faith.

Her mind is now rambling.

She knows in her heart that her own personal reason why she kissed Faith is because of the love and affection she had for this woman since years ago.

But how about Faith?

"I love you Phi." She blurted out.

There was silence so Nong gather all her courage to continue, "If your heart cannot move in to love like I feel for you or if there is no chance for you to feel the same way, please let me know right now. But if there is even slightest chance that you might fall for me too. I will take it."

Faith look at her. She listened to what Yoko said and try to assess her heart.

Yoko...

This young woman is not that hard to fall in love with. She is attractive and her bright personality radiates beautifully in her.

Is there a chance?

Yoko is waiting for an answer. She wants to know now before she laid all her cards for Faith. She is willing to gamble everything...

"Yes, there is a chance." Faith said with confidence after assessing her heart.

Yoko looked at her, her eyes are hopeful.

"Not full 100% yet but I think there is a chance that I am already falling for you already." She added to which Yoko replied with full confidence too.

"I will take it." She whispered and kiss her again...and more aggressively.

***

Meanwhile in Manila, Yoko's Mom receive a letter from Japan. She recognize the seal right away so she knows exactly where this document came from.

She open it with heart beating fast.

She was right. The letter came from Nine and Yoko's father.

"What do you want now?" Linda said as she slowly read the letter.

After reading the lengthy letter, she heave a heavy sigh and look at Nine's picture frame. The letter from the Dad is basically saying that he wants to connect with his children but wants Linda's permission  for the matter. He left an address and telephone number, and a promise that he will cover all the needed expenses when his child wants to see him.

There is sadness in her eyes but also relief that finally, Yoko will now have a chance to meet her Dad. As a mom, she knows that Yoko wants to see her Dad and she will never stand against that.

Maybe this reconciliation is a little bit too late for Nine.  But this is also for Yoko. I really hope that this reconnection will lead into healing for my daughter.

To be continued...
