Flashback — Faye x Nine backstory.

"Let's break up."

Nine eyes wander around and then back at Faye's side.

"I know I messed up but I said, I will choose you, right? Why you still breaking up with me? Let me fix this." He said out of frustration. He is pacing back and forth in his room.

He just confess to Faye about his whereabouts the other night. He spend the night with his best friend — or his ex lover turn best friend. They become physical that night, they had sex and he feel terrible about it that he immediately confess to Faye.

"I don't want you to choose me. I want you to follow your heart." She said trying to be understanding in this situation even tho she is drowning in pain.

Faye knows about the past of Nine and Jonathan. She accepted it as part of his past but she also knows that Jonathan still has special place in Nine's heart.

"No. I can't follow my heart. You know that I cannot be gay, right? I cannot cut the blood line." He said, he is aware of their roots. He knows that someday his father will need an heir from them.

Faye smirked and look at him in stern face.

"Did you really love me at all? All you think of is yourself and your damn selfish reasons." She said, realizing that Nine reason is only about him.

"I love you, Faye. I care about you."

"But you love yourself more and you love Jonathan, more than anyone else, right? So let's break up. Let us end it here."

Nine become speechless with Faye's words.

"I'm leaving." Faye said and finally take out her bags.

He followed her and tried to snatch her bags but Faye fought back. She successfully went out to the door with her bags on her hand.

They both stopped for a moment when they saw Mom and Yoko looking at them. They probably heard that they are arguing.

Faye stood still and bowed to Mom.

"I'm sorry but I'm leaving." She said before she turn her back and left.

Few weeks after Faye left... she found out that she is pregnant and cannot work because of her situation.

"Are you sure you want to abort the child?" Freen said freaking out when Faye asked her to be her companion in the abortion clinic.

"Yes."

"But Becky said we can adopt the kid. You do not have to abort." She asserted while driving.

Faye looked at Freen in confused look.

"Why are you gonna adopt the kid? Are you a couple?"

"No, but I think we can adopt the baby. You can be an auntie if you are not yet prepared to be a Mom." Freen said that made Faye cry.

"Stop this. You are making me cry." Faye sniff as she is overwhelm with her emotions.

"Please tell me to u-turn now. I will help you raise the kid. Becky said she will help you too." Freen said as they are getting closer to the clinic.

Faye nods while still crying.

"Okay, u-turn please." She said as she hold her stomach.

I will be Mom without a husband.

My child will be born without a father.

But at least my child will have two supportive aunties, right?

Faye tried to contact Nine but he never return to any of her message or call so she just assume that Nine choose his heart this time. She doesn't want to interfere so she gave birth and raise the kid by herself and with the help of her parents together with Freen and Becky. Raising a child as a single mom is not easy but she was able to handle it with the help of everyone around her but most of the time she still deal with it ... alone.

The weight of betrayal, the pain of being alone and the struggle of raising a son becomes a collective reason why she cannot just open her heart to anyone. She carry that sht deep down in her heart that she closed her heart to any possible new sparks or connection. She focus on Yuan's wellbeing that she forgot how to love again.

Until one day... it just happens.

/days before Yoko went to Japan...

"Why are you smiling?" Lux asked teasing. "Oh, don't answer. I know why you are smiling." She said still on her teasing tone.

Faye smile and look away to avoid her friend teasing her again.

"I knew it. You got laid last night. I can tell." Lux giggled and throw some tissue on Faye's side.

Faye cheeks turn red.

"What? Is that true?" Freen butt in and then Becky followed.

Now, Faye is surrounded by her friends interrogating her about her love life.

"Are you two in serious relationship now? Have you confirmed it yet?" Freen asked, she is curious because they know about this 3 months rule of Faye.

"Not yet but I think I'm now ready." She said with her eyes sparkling with joy and hearts.

"So.. have you told her about Yuan yet?" Becky asked, her tone is more serious than the others.

Faye shook her head.

"Not yet. But I already told my parents that I finally found someone that will be introduced to Yuan as my partner. They said they are okay with it. I'm just arranging some appointments so we can visit our home soon." She said with a smile.

"Damn! I never thought that this day will come. I'm so proud of you dude." Lux said, now in half serious and half teasing tone.

Faye just smile and then sip her coffee.

"I'm so proud of you too." Freen said with teary eyes, she witnessed all that Faye went through. Seeing her in love again makes her heart happy and joyful.

"One more thing..."Faye look at them and smile widely. "I need your help to buy her a ring."

Becky instantly scream in glee when she heard it while Lux and Freen were frozen.

"What the fuck..."

"Bro... you are insane."

"Why? Will you help me or not?" Faye asked again.

Lux and Freen looked at her seriously and hug her.

"Of course!"

"Marry her or you can leave now."

Faye looked up to Aki and dared to look into his eyes.

"I will marry her, sir." She said firmly. "I'm prepared to take her in and marry her." She reach out to her pocket and showed Aki the ring box.

"I'm planning to propose." She declared.

Aki was surprised but delighted to know that his plan is not that hard to execute.

"The only way that you can enter the palace is to marry her. Then, after that — you and Yoko are free to go." He said to which Faye nods and agreed on.

"Also — I know about my grandson Yuan." He said with serious look in his face. "Do you know if Nine wants the kid to be acknowledge?"

Faye thought about it for a few minutes. She knows that Nine value the blood line (the sole reason why he cannot come out as gay) and probably wants his child to be acknowledge in their family line.

She nods before even saying anything.

"I think so. I know Nine don't want to break the line." She said.

Aki smile.

"That is good to hear."

The night before the wedding...

Faye woke up in the middle of the night without Yoko on her side. She look around with her half sleep eyes and found Yo in the balcony watching the moon.

"Yo... why are you still awake?" She asked as she approach her, she slowly hug her from the back.

"I cannot sleep." Yoko said as she welcome the warmth of Faye's hug. She quickly move to wipe her tears that Faye did not even notice about it.

"Awww. Are you nervous? Or excited about the wedding?" She asked and instinctively kiss Yoko's nape.

Yoko felt the electrifying kiss but she does not know how to react at this time knowing that tomorrow she will leave her after the wedding.

"I'm also nervous but I'm excited to tie the knot with you." Faye whispers and played with Yo hair.

They stayed in that position for few more minutes.

Yoko savor that few minutes together. She close her eyes in silence as she wants this moment to last. Partly the reason she cannot sleep is because she doesn't want to welcome tomorrow. She is afraid of what to come...but she cannot help it.

Faye hug her tighter and when she felt that Yoko's breathing become peaceful and at rest. She kiss her cheeks and said,   "Let's go back sleep. It's going to be our big day tomorrow."

Yoko tried to smile...and open her eyes.

Faye's face is smiling widely. There is a spark in her eyes that Yo chose not to see.

Phi guide her back to their bed. They laid their back to the soft mattress and cuddled up. Then eventually, Faye peacefully close her eyes while Yo is still fully awake.

This will be the last night that I have her.

Yoko open her eyes, and slowly move to kiss Faye on the lips. Her plan is to have a quick kiss but that changes when Faye grab her waist and nape to initiate a deep kiss. Yoko cannot deny the fact that she longed for this kind of kisses so she took her time and really kiss Faye deeper.

This will be the last.

That thoughts echoed to her mind that made her eyes shed tears without even her knowing it.

"Yooo... why are you crying?" Faye break the kiss, she is worried as to why Yo is in tears while kissing her at the eve of their wedding.

"I'm just happy that you are here. I am happy to be this close to you." Yoko said and kiss her again.

Faye let Yo kiss her but she then shifted their position... she is now on top of Yo.

She paused and takes a good look at Yoko's face.

"I will always be this close to you, Yo. I will always be here. I love you." She said before claiming Yo's lips.

Yoko received the kisses and return the same passion to Faye.

Damn! I hope this night will not end.

I hope this will last forever.
