Ch.12 Naughty Boy
The Hybrid ( BOOK I & II)
I thought I'd try writing in the third person and in Remy's POV!
.
"What are you doing?" Remy's voice held little curiosity, and a hint of hidden anger.
He could tell he had scared Genevieve, by the frantic beating of her heart. His gums throbbed, his fangs longing to come out and have a taste of her sweet blood. He cursed the supernatural side of him and focused to regain control, though it wasn't working as well as when he took the potion. He sought out the dark brown eyes of his mate, hoping for her natural beauty to distract him and his heightened senses.
"Remy, I-I wasn't snooping, i-if that's what you were thinking. I was looking for the bathroom...and that's clearly not it." Genevieve explained nervously.
Despite his simmering anger, he couldn't help but smile. He noted that his mate was in fact a curious little thing. Genevieve might have not been a werewolf, but he could tell she had adapted a few popular traits of the wolf.
"It's fine Genevieve. We'll talk about this and everything else that needs explaining tonight. Just do me a favor and don't mention anything about the room, when your around MJ." He didin't need Mary Jane asking about the established 'naughty room'. When Remy had told her to never go in that room, her six year old self asked if it was the naughty room, for when Remy was being a 'naughty boy'. With a satisfied grin, he had nodded before hugging the innocent little girl.
"I would never." Genevieve smiled, afterwards stepping closer to Remy. He noticed how she hesitated before, taking his rough hand in her own, the difference in size not to be overseen. Remy raised their hands to his mouth and placed a soft kiss upon her knuckles. With his heightened hearing, he heard the small gasp leave her lips. Remy felt immense pleasure as he stared deep into Genevieve's brown eyes. His own eyes lost their dark grey color, and radiated a bright blue.
Their moment was quickly over when Lily stepped into the hallway, clearing her throat loudly. Remy didn't want to pull away from his mate, but he didn't want her to feel uncomfortable either. Together they faced Lily and a very confused MJ, who was oblivious to what had been going on just seconds ago.
Before anyone could speak MJ walked over to Genevieve, smiled and held her other hand, pulling gently. "Do you want to play Monopoly Disney Villains with Lily and I?"
Genevieve smirked, a game she loved to play at the hospital back in Miami.
"I'd love to, I'm the master in monopoly!" She said, already on her way into the Living room with MJ holding her hand, Lily trailing behind them.
Remy chuckled, if Genevieve thought she was good at the game, than she hadn't seen his sister play the game. With that he turned once more to the room, securing the locks. He rested his forehead against the dark wood, letting out a sigh.
Remy definitely knew tonight he'd have to explain. This was something he didn't want to have to explain so soon. Although Remy had trust in her, from the moment she chose him over her pack, he didn't wan't her ever seeing this part of his life. Yet he knew deep down Genevieve could handle the truth, could handle him, the hybrid.

The four of them sat around the small glass table, laughing and smiling. The game had been going on for over two hours now and Remy was exhausted. All he wanted to do was relax in his bed, preferably with his curvy mate in his arms. He could barely focus on the game, as he sat across from Genevieve. Her beauty was stunning. Remy had never felt such an attraction to anyone. Her dark brown eyes, small nose, high cheekbones with soft plump red lips. How he just wanted to throw Lily out and send MJ to bed so he would be alone with Genevieve. He wasn't even sure why Lily had tagged along. But he wasn't about to kick her out either. Although She would be leaving in the morning, Remy knew that one for sure!
The loud yawn coming from MJ pulled him out of his thoughts. Mary Jane was grinning even though it was clear to all adults how tired she was. She sat with her legs tucked under her, a fluffy pillow on her lap as she watched Lily and her brother go bankrupt. Genevieve and Mary Jane were the only ones playing and Genevieve was about to lose. Suddenly MJ jumped up and pumped her small fist in the air. "I win, I win, I win!"
MJ spun around and held her hand up high. Remy high fived his little sister, and placed a small chaste kiss on her pale cheek. "You Mary Jane, are definitely the winner and absolute best at monopoly."
Mary Jane returned the kiss before grabbing the box to clean up the game.
He always longed to be normal and that was a feeling only MJ could give him, with her innocent young mind she never saw him as evil, an abomination... maybe intimidating but nothing that made him feel anything less than an older brother. Maybe in the future Genevieve could give him the sense of normality too.
After packing up the game, Remy situated MJ in her room, waiting the few minutes until she fell asleep. Remy returned back down stairs, his almost silent footsteps not to be heard by the two females. He was surprised to see Lily with a big smirk on her face, as she stood in front of Genevieve. Her smirk fell and quickly became the familiar sweet smile, he knew. It had happened fast but Remy took notice, also in her change of posture. Having special abilities, those of a vampire, a werewolf's and his own, made him more cautious and observing around others. Remy didn't think much of it. Lily was always a little on the weird side, but they were friends, good friends at that.
"Rem, I think I'll be on my way home. Genevieve seems tired and I don't want to be a burden." Lily, spoke sincerely, patting Genevieve on the shoulder, who still had yet to turn around. Genevieve flinched away from her touch but still didn't turn around.
Remy had no doubt, that there was tension between the two women, perhaps they did not like each other.
"You're not a burden Lil, you can sleep here. If you choose to go home, I'll be happy to drive you." Her presence wasn't just bothering Genevieve at the moment,, but it was also bothering Remy, because it was bothering his mate.
"Are you sure?" Lily pouted looking unsure, her big full lips had always reminded Remy of fish lips. It was cruel to say but it was true.
"While she decides, I'll be going to bed Remy, goodnight!" With that Genevieve stormed past both of them.
Without thinking Remy's hand went out and grabbed a hold of her wrist. She spun around surprised, tears welling up in her eyes. Remy was so confused he couldn't even form words. He didn't know how to take control of the situation. Genevieve glanced with angry eyes at Lily, then Remy again, before freeing her wrist from his grasp, and successfully storming upstairs.
"Drama Queen!" Lily chuckled, dragging out the 'e' in queen.
"Go home, Lily!" God, he was so frustrated and confused at the same time. The only thing that was for sure, was that Lily needed to go!
"Bu-" Before she could get out a word, Remy cut her off.
"I said get out! Now!" In seconds his fangs were out, pupils dilated so much his eyes looked black, his hands clenched into fist.
Remy would never hurt Lily, yet his control was slipping. Even more so as he heard quiet, almost silent whimpers coming from his bedroom upstairs.
Lily didn't seemed fazed, she simply walked around him and left.
It wasn't often Remy lost control over the beast inside him, but with Genevieve in the picture it felt harder and harder to keep the beast at bay.
He fought against the transformation, the beast slowly retreating. In anger for almost losing control again, he slammed his fist on the glass table, shattering it to pieces. Remy's hand would have been broken, if he were human, but due to his abilities, his hand healed within seconds.
Using his super speed for something good, he hurried and cleaned up the mess. Within a minute he was done and he practically flew up the stairs. Remy swooped his head into Mary Jane's room, making sure she was still sound asleep. She lay in her pink bed, blanket clutched between her arms and breathing steady.
Remy hesitated in front of his and Genevieve's bedroom. He knew that he needed to find out what Lily had done to upset her, and he felt the need to comfort her. He took a deep breath in, afterwards stepping in the dark room. Remy's eyes adjusted to the darkness, as he stepped closer to Genevieve's curled up form on the bed. Genevieve was in fact sleeping.
So much for talking... Remy thought. He pecked her cheek, enjoying the small sparks of pleasure he got. He pulled away with hesitation, (he was doing a lot of hesitating in the past week) before stepping in the bathroom to get ready for bed.

The next morning Remy laid in bed, spooning his curvaceous mate, as she slept. On normal nights Remy usually sleeps up to four hours, though that night he couldn't even get those few hours of sleep. The beast within him would not go to rest, it was furious. Remy needed to speak to Genevieve, and find out what had triggered her emotions to become so evident. Her stay with him was not starting off well!
It was almost seven in the morning when Remy felt Genevieve move against his chest. He patiently waited for her to fully awaken. Moments later she turned around in his arms and smiled gently. Remy's eyebrows crawled up his forehead in confusion. Had she forgotten that she was angry with him?
With a smile still planted on her lips she said, "I don't like Lily and I don't trust her."
He knew that much already. "Did she say something to make you not trust her? I'll deal with her if she did."
Genevieve looked away and traced the tribal tattoo on his arm, with her fingertips. "I don't need you to stand up for me or fight my battles. I don't like Lily and I really don't think it will change."
Remy wanted more answers. He couldn't fully understand what had gone on between them for Genevieve to be so mindset on disliking Lily. Remy had known Lily for over two years now. She was one of the nicest people he knew. He couldn't imagine Lily saying or doing something to Genevieve, for her not to like her.
"I'm not going to be a controlling Alpha male and tell you who you can and cannot like. If you don't like her it's fine." Remy was speaking the truth. His mate and Lily didn't have to be friends, but it would have been nice.
"I didn't think you would take it so easily, to be honest." She grinned, gently tugging on his earlobe.
A comfortable silence settled between them. Remy's body was much cooler than Genevieve's but she didn't seem to mind, as she snuggled closer to his chest.
"I guess it''s a good time for story telling?" Remy questioned, because he knew his mate was dying to know, even if she didn't want to ask.
"Don't sound so unsure. It can't be that bad." Genevieve replied, referring to his past and how he grew up and what not.
Remy smirked. His mate was practically fearless when finding out about him.
"I'm not sure how to really explain it ... I guess I'll start at the very beginning." Remy leaned back against the wide headboard of the king sized bed. Genevieve curled up against his side, her head resting against his chest, curvy legs intertwining with his long muscled legs.
"Caroline was the last royal princess werewolf and because of that, she shifted the first time at the age of thirteen. On the night of her shifting, her wolf went wild, running off and leaving the royal territory. She said she couldn't gain control of her wolf and just kept on running. The royals hadn't gone after her, assuming she wanted to enjoy her first hours in wolf form. Little did they know, that Caroline had stumbled across a vampire. She told me, it had happened so fast and the next thing she knew the young man was dead. It was her doing."
Genevieve gasped, surprised that the lady she had just met a few hours ago, had once killed.
"The nightmare for her had just begun. The vampire was none other than Charles Blackthorn, an older vampire, brother of Theodore Blackthorn. Theodore hadn't been far away when the attack on his brother happened. He sought out revenge and caught the young Caroline by the near by river. He tortured her for hours, killing her wolf first by biting her."
Genevieve understood that specific process of killing a werewolf. Supernaturals were able to mate with humans but not two different supernatural species.
"The bastard then proceeded to sexually assault her. When he had done his damage he left her to die near the river. With Caroline having royal blood in her she barely survived. It was the royal blood that saved her. Any other Werewolf would have died.... That's all she really told me about that night, the night I was conceived."
Genevieve was stunned, it was nothing like she had previously thought. It was everything other. Remy chuckled at her shocked face, until he saw a tear run down her brown cheek.
"Hey, baby relax. It''s in the past and Caroline is better now, she's happy with MJ's father Julian." Remy kissed the top of her head, while rubbing his hands up and down her arms.
Remy and Genevieve sat in silence, letting all the new information sink in.
"I'll tell you more soon, but MJ is about to walk in here ready for breakfast."
