Ch.17 Jealousy
The Hybrid ( BOOK I & II)
Previously;
"Remy is a fine man. You did a great job raising him even if you were really young." The words had came out of Genevieve's' mouth before she had time to really think about what she said. Although they were in fact true; Caroline was forty two and Remy twenty eight.
"Thank you sweetheart. You should probably go see Remy before he comes back here, thinking I'm keeping you hostage." Caroline laughed at the end, her blue eyes tiered from all the stress.
Genevieve smiled, knowing it was partially true. With a small wave goodbye, she made her way out of the room and down to where Mary Jane was being treated.

Genevieve continued to walk down the white hallways that smelt too much like antiseptic solutions. The linoleum floors of the hospital were so shiny, Gen could almost see her reflection in them. Every few feet she would see disinfectant dispensers attached to the walls. The hospital was definitely on track with their hygiene care.
Genevieve stepped into the crowded elevator, barely making it in, before the two metal doors closed and the elevator went down to the pediatrics floor. Gen stepped out of the elevator, taking a needed breath, the twenty four year old was slightly claustrophobic.
The pediatrics floor was colorful with animal paintings on the walls, almost familiar to the one back in Miami. Genevieve spotted Remy, leaning on the pale pink wall that resembled cotton candy. It was hard for anyone to over see him, with his tall 6'8 height and his currently angry features.
Genevieve rushed over to him, worried that MJ's condition was worse than they had both thought.
"What happened? Where's MJ?" Genevieve couldn't contain her worry for the little girl. She stepped closer to Remy, who's eyes softened when he spotted Gen.
"She's in surgery right now. Her left leg is broken in two different spots." Remy explained, wrapping a arm around his mate.
"When did she go into surgery?" Gen asked, as they moved to the waiting area.
"They were taking her into surgery when I got here. Julian approved of the operation before he left. The nurse said for us not worry, it's a simple procedure."
Even though it was simple, Remy was still worried. Mary Jane hated hospitals and Remy hated them with her.
The couple sat in the waiting room, a few other parents with their children occupying the large room too.
Genevieve shyly kissed Remys' cheek quickly, afterwards watching the small children play with blocks. Gen was still new to the whole idea of PDA (public displays of affection), but it was nice to know that Remy wasn't ashamed or embarrassed of her.
Next to Remy sat an older lady, with a baby girl on her lap. The small baby gazed at Remy with curious green eyes and a toothless smile.
Remy returned the smile, remembering when Mary Jane had been so tiny, a small bundle of joy.
The baby reached out and grabbed Remys' finger, pulling on it and giggling. The little girls mother was oblivious to the whole interaction going on between them.
Remy loved children but he would never want any of his own. He wouldn't want any child to experience a childhood like he had. The constant teasing and name calling for being different was the worse time of his life. Remy hated being different from everybody else, he was always the odd one out.
Caroline tried to understand what he was going through but the truth was that nobody would ever understand how hard it was for him as a child. Hell, it was still a challenge now trying to fit in with a family of humans.
Remy wasn't sure if Genevieve would ever want children and if so, he would have no problem with adoption. Remy blocked out his thoughts about the future, they still had a long time for plans like those.
"Remy, I'm going to grab a coffee. Do you want something?" Genevieve could slowly feel tiredness slip into her system, a coffee was just the right thing to keep her awake.
Remy shook his head, but pulled out his wallet and handed Gen some money for her coffee.
Genevieve knew not to argue with him at that moment, so she silently pocketed the money, offered him a comforting smile before leaving the waiting room.
After getting her a small cup of awful coffee, Genevieve began to make her way back to Remy just when her phone started to ring. Genevieve hurried out the closest door as she answered her phone.
"Hello?" She hadn't checked the caller ID, in fear of the person hanging up before she could answer.
"You may be twenty four, legally an adult but you are still our baby girl, who needs to call once in a while." Scolded Nick, her younger dad.
"Daddy!" She grinned, no longer tiered and half asleep. Genevieve was a real daddys' girl... what other option did she have, being raised by two men.
"How are you, everything OK?" Spencer asked worried, as he lay in bed with his gorgeous mate and husband Nick.
"It's a lot all at once, but I think I'm falling for Remy." Genevieve sounded unsure about her feelings, yet deep down she knew that it wouldn't be long before they were confessing their love for each other.
"Hun, it's normal to fall in love with your soul-mate." Spencer started, leaning the phone closer to Nick so they could both listen. "In fact it would be wrong not to fall in love with your soul-mate."
Genevieve breathed out a sigh of relief, a face-splitting grin on her face. She continued to talk to her fathers for a few more minutes, afterwards hanging up and walking back into the hospital. Just as she was around the corner of the waiting room, she seen Remy and ... Lily hugging.
Genevieve stopped in her tracks, a frown on her face as she continued to watch her boyfriend hug his pretty best friend. It wouldn't have bothered her so much if Remy didn't look so ... comfortable hugging the petite girl to his chest. Lily seemed too happy too, all pressed up against Remy, hands rubbing up his back. If looks could kill, Lily would have been dead! Jealousy bubbled in Genevieve, she hated feeling insecure.
Bitch, he's my soul-mate!
Genevieve could handle Lily making her cry. But she didn't want Lily to make her feel uncomfortable in her own body again. And that she was accomplishing by rubbing her skinny, tan body all over Remy. Genevieve would never have that much self confidence to rub and press her body all over Remy, maybe Ãf they were completely alone but not ... at a hospital with prying eyes.
There just best friends! Genevieve thought. I have nothing to worry about ... Remy is my soul mate. He is falling for me! I get to sleep in the same bed as him, wear his shirts, fall asleep with his arms around me!
Genevieve knew that Remy wouldn't betray her, yet that didn't mean Lily wouldn't try anything on him. She continued to watch them, as they spoke to each other. Their voices were to low for Genevieve to hear anything, but she was too happy that Remy had but some distance between him and Lily, to care.
After a while, Gen felt uncomfortable just watching them from afar, so she made her way over to them. She cleared the jealousy from her face and plastered on a fake smile.
"Lily, nice of you to come." Genevieve said, not even trying to sound sincere.
Lily smiled knowingly, waving a manicured hand in greeting. Oh, she knew just how much Genevieve hated her.
Remy placed his hand on Gens' lower back, fingers tracing her spine absentmindedly. A spot he loved touching when he couldn't touch more in public, without embarrassing the both of them. "A nurse came while you were gone. MJ will be out of surgery in about an hour." Remy told Genevieve, kissing the top of her head.
The trio had been in the waiting room for almost an hour, Remy in the middle trying to ignore the tension between the two women. Half an hour in, Julian had joined them, totally oblivious to the death glares being thrown between Remys' soul mate and Remys' best friend.
"Family members of Mary-Jane Black?" A short, burly surgeon called out, a friendly smile on his face.
The four of them stood up and walked over to the man.
"Julian Black, her father."
The surgeon smiled, introducing himself. "Mary Jane is out of surgery, although on a stronger dose of pain meds. She'll sleep through the whole night. Mr.Black you may see her, room 396, all others can see her tomorrow during visitor hours." Julian thanked the doctor, patted Remy on the back, said his goodbyes to the girls before going to see his little princess.
"Rem, I'm here for you ... and your family, you know that." Lily hugged Remy. "We'll see each other tomorrow .... bye Genevieve."
Remy had a tight smile on his face as he said goodbye. Genevieve mumbled a goodbye, wishing she didn't have to say anything at all.
"Come on babe, let's go home." Remy sighed, kissing Gens' forehead. They shared a small moment, a small comforting kiss shared between them. He pulled her closer, his hand grasping her soft one, afterwards intertwining their fingers as they left the hospital.

Quick update and the next one will be quick too, I hope. Picture of Genevieves body (size 12).
Yesterday I got my first hate comment on chapter one, concerning Genevieve having two fathers. Everybody can have their own opinion about the lgbt community but if you are going to comment on my story with something such as 'ewe', I won't ignore it nor will I tolerate it. I 100% support the lgbt community! You don't have to support them but I won't accept such narrow mined and rude comments!!!
On a positive note, we ranked #3 in the vampire category!!! This is amazing, I'm truly happy and also surprised!
Dedication goes to @fckyesirwin! Your comment was too funny. For everybody that did not see her comment, it's in the previous chapter. @fckyesirwin thought Genevieve was white, even after chapter "Deep Fried Chicken & Watermelon" :D :D
