Remy's phone vibrated in his pocket for the second time that morning. He looked at the caller ID, -Levi. As the crowd talked between each other, Remy took the moment to answer his phone.

"Levi?" He asked, walking into his house for just an ounce of privacy.

"L-lily, ... she tried k-killing herself." Levi stuttered, despite his usual confident demeanor.

"Where is she now?" Remy asked calmly, while grabbing his car keys.

"We're at the coven house."

Remy started jogging up the stairs. "I'll be there in twenty."

"She won't talk to anyone." Levi muttered. "I ... I don't know what to do ..."

Remy stood before his bedroom, hand on the doorknob. "She'll talk to me."

He ended the call with a quiet sigh, before walking into his bedroom.

"Baby, I have to go deal with something real quick." Remy kneeled in front of Genevieve, who laid curled up the large bed with a pale face.

"Is everything alright?" Genevieve asked worriedly.

"Yeah." He kissed her warm forehead. "Just relax and get some rest. If you have another dizzy spill or you're in pain call me."

"Don't worry all the time. I'm just a little pale but that's perfectly normal for a vampire pregnancy." Genevieve smiled at him, her lips bright red.

Vampires are naturally pale. Remy thought to himself, but decided to let it go.

"The pack is outside right now, deciding where everybody is going to be sleeping for the next few nights."

Genevieve nodded, forcing a smile as Remy watched her with unconvinced eyes.

"This weekend it's just you and me." Remy flashed his glowing blue eyes at Gen, while reaching up with one hand to gently push her hair behind her ear. Remy leaned in for a kiss, but pulled back just as their lips brushed each other.

He grinned at her, fingertips caressing the sensitive skin on her neck. "Save that kiss for me."

Genevieve groaned, but couldn't hide her smile. "You're such a tease."

Quickly Remy's hand came up, seizing her by the back of her head and dragging her mouth down to his, smothering her words with the touch of his mouth. Remy claimed her plump lips, trailing the warm tip of his tongue along the seam of her lips in a quest for entrance. She gasped softly and he deepened the kiss, sliding his tongue inside her mouth, gliding it against hers with heated passion.

Remy pulled back and pecked her lips quickly. "More of that tonight, right now I have to go."

Genevieve's cheeks were flushed, her heart racing as she closed her eyes and let her head fall back against the pillows. When she opened her eyes again Remy was already gone.

..

Remy opened the door to Lily's bedroom, her flowery scent filling his nose as the color pink stabbed at his eyes. Lily was hidden under the thin blanket, only her head visible with her black long hair in a messy bun on the top of her head. Remy knocked on the door, before stepping in and making eye contact with the young woman.

Remy knew that this time he needed to confront Lily in a more delicate way. He hadn't meant to push her over the edge that time they talked. Understanding that Lily was undeniably in love with him, he needed to lighten his approach.

"Lily ..." Remy called her name softly, while walking to the edge of her bed and sitting down.

Lily didn't respond, but her lifeless eyes trailed over Remy's face, nothing remotely sexual about the action.

"I can't say I don't know why you did it, because I do." Remy started, his voice was soft but still had that powerful edge. "Lily, just because it won't work out between us doesn't mean it won't work out between you and somebody else. You have a mate somewhere waiting for you, and I know he'd be heartbroken if he didn't get a chance to meet you."

Lily was unresponsive, her cheeks hadn't even flushed as they normally did when Remy smiled at her.

"I just want you to be happy. I want you to be the Lily you were, when I first met you. You need to smile again, to be happy and carefree. You are twenty two and you're beautiful. You need to explore what's out there. Take a trip, go skydiving, learn a new language, go search for your mate. If you love me Lily, than you'll try. You'll try to be happy again, without me."

Lily had tears in her dull brown eyes as she nodded softly. Remy moved closer and hugged the small woman to his chest. He held the back of her head as she cried into his chest. He wasn't leading her on, but trying to give her the closure she needed to let go of the idea of them being together.

"Don't ever give up Lily. Your family needs you more than you think. Levi is worried sick about you, and you and I both know that he's never worried to the point of tears." Remy whispered, as he continued to hug her.

Lily hadn't hugged him back, but she did lay her head on his shoulder, tears streaming down her cheeks and onto the cotton of his red shirt.

Remy slowly pulled back and wiped her tears with his thumbs. "Can you promise me that you won't put your life in danger again?"

Lily leaned back against her headboard, while nodding with a ghost of a smile on her face. "I promise, Remy."

Remy gave her a half smile. This time he felt better with the outcome of the situation. Remy continued to lightly talk to Lily for half an hour, his mind on more important things though.

"Lily, have you ever met a fae?" Remy asked, curious to know if she had been the one who altered the fae's life.

Lily shook her head, no sign of deceit on her face. "I haven't but I heard a few witches talking about how there was a dark fae in town. Why, did something happen?"

"No, I was just curious." Remy faked a smile, one he had perfected since a young age. "Listen I've got to go, but I'll ask Levi how you're holding up and I hope his answer will be along the lines of -great."

Lily smiled just barely. "Thank you."

Remy moved off of the bed and walked over to the door. "We won't see each other for a while, but I need you to get better."

With that Remy had walked out of her bedroom, a sigh escaping him as he walked down the hall and towards the front door.

"Would she talk?" Maci grumbled from her spot on the porch step.

"Yeah." Remy glanced at Levi's wife.

Her blond hair framed her face and her red lipstick complimented her heart shaped lips. Maci's eyes were a sky blue, framed with thick long eyelashes. She held that natural werewolf beauty.

"Why so annoyed?" Remy asked, while stepping down the last porch step.

"I want to be there for Levi, but can't I be there for him without coming to the coven house?" Maci huffed, while picking at the hem of her sleeve.

"They don't hate you." Remy chuckled, as he referred to Levi's coven. "They just don't like that you're not the same species as Levi."

"I've been married to Levi for almost seven years now and they still give me that disgusted look." Maci growled, her fangs showing and her eyes darkening.

Remy laid a friendly hand on her shoulder. "As long as Levi loves you, which he does, you shouldn't have to worry about what they think. When have you ever cared what they think anyways? Levi doesn't care and you shouldn't either."

Remy knew about the back story with Maci and Levi. They were judged by their families because they were together and not with their destined mates. It was unheard of, but Levi and Maci had managed. They didn't have the opportunities that real mates had, but they loved each other and that was enough for them to get married and live happily together.

"How's Genevieve and the baby?" Maci asked, dismissing the subject about the coven.

"I'm worried about her." Remy said honestly. "She's convinced that everything is going good, but she's so pale, exhausted and she hasn't been eating much. I'm happy that it will be over next month."

Maci smiled. "Be happy that you get to have a healthy child with your mate. She's going to be a mother and she'll know if something is wrong. As long as she can wake up every morning and tell you that she loves you, than you don't need to worry so much."

Remy chuckled and nodded, afterwards telling Maci goodbye. Remy got into his car and sat there for a moment, enjoying the silence that surrounded him. He reached into the backseat and grabbed the red jewelry bag. Taking the small box with the baby bracelet inside, he set that on the passenger seat, before reaching into the bag again and pulling out the square red case. Remy traced his fingers over the case, his thoughts flying to Genevieve, as he opened the case.

The engagement ring was beautiful, with a heart shaped diamond in the center and tiny diamonds that complimented the bigger diamond. Remy wanted to propose the coming weekend and he was sure Genevieve would love the whole romantic scene.

In the last few weeks, they hadn't had that much time together just to relax and enjoy the other persons company. Remy knew that Genevieve loved those intimate moments they shared and so did he. Genevieve would get all flustered and shy, but she didn't object to Remy's kisses and caresses. He could tell that she loved being dominated by him. She'd glance at him from beneath her long eyelashes, a timid smile on her face. Remy often wondered what was going on in that pretty head of hers. He'd take a peak at her thoughts, just to get an instant hard on. Genevieve wasn't the innocent little human, she portrayed to be.

..

Remy took a seat at the dinning table, right across from Maddox. The young pup was in his human form, dark hair covered his forehead and the only skin visible was that on his face and neck. Maddox had a jagged scar from his left ear to his right ear, that ran underneath his jaw and across his throat.

Remy's eyes trailed over the boys facial features. Maddox had brown hair that curled slightly at the ends, hazel eyes that looked hurt and sad, a small nose and high cheekbones accompanied by light dimples.

Maddox must have sensed Remy's gaze as the young boy looked up to meet Remy's grey eyes. He smiled softly and received a friendly smile from Remy, who had leaned back slightly on the wooden chair.

Maddox pushed his plate, with the cut up PB&J sandwich, closer to Remy, his small fingers poking out from his sleeve.

Remy grinned and took a small piece of the sandwich, popping it into his mouth before chewing. Maddox copied Remy, his eyes glued to Remy's movements.

"Where's your nana?" Remy asked, while crossing his arms over his chest.

Maddox glanced towards the backdoor, before turning back to Remy. "Outside." He whispered softly.

Remy nodded. He wanted to ask Lydia why the fae had targeted their pack and why not a smaller pack, perhaps one with more options for a heir.

"Do you have a nana?" Maddox asked quietly, the food on his plate forgotton.

"No, but I have a younger sister." Remy replied, drumming his fingers on the edge of the table.

Maddox's lips lifted into a small smile. "What's her name?"

"Mary Jane. She's a few years older than you."

Maddox tilted his head to the side. "Where is she?"

"She lives with my parents." Remy started. "I can take you with me next week when I go to see her."

Maddox nodded his head softly, before pulling the sleeves over his tiny fingers.

"Let's go find your nana." Remy stood up from the dinning table, before making his way over to Maddox.

...

"Hello?"

"Luke?" Genevieve asked, holding the phone to her ear, as she leaned against a tree in the hidden part of their new property.

"This is Noah, Luke's mate."

Genevieve almost squealed in happiness. Luke had found his mate.

"Oh, I'm Genevieve ... his best best friend. Could you please ask him to give me a call?" Genevieve spoke quietly, while looking for anyone that could have been eavesdropping.

"I would, but I don't think he'll call back after your mate threatened him." Noah replied, with a hint of anger in his voice.

Genevieve furrowed her eyebrows, lips pursed. "Remy wouldn't do that. Are you sure it was him?"

Gen could hear the young man sigh. "Tall as a tower, powder white skin, silver eyes, tattoos on his arms, too many fangs, dark blonde ha-"

"Uh ... yeah, that's him." Genevieve agreed. That was in fact the description of her mate. "Do you know why he threatened Luke?"

"Luke had promised your mate to pick you up a while back, but Luke didn't show up and now your mate blames Luke for the rape."

Genevieve was silent, her head starting to hurt and her hands clammy.

"I know you probably don't care, but it wasn't Luke's fault." Noah started to reply. "I needed Luke that night and I had begged him to stay with me. I was having problems with a few members out of the neighboring pack and I didn't want to stay alone that night."

"Tell Luke to call me." Genevieve blinked a few times, her vision blurry. She hated not knowing what had happened that night.

"It's not his fault what happened to you, but he knows that he should have called Dean sooner or at least called to make sure you made it home safe."  Noah tried to smooth out the situation.

Genevieve felt forgotten and neglected by her best friend. "He didn't call that night, nor did he call me the following weeks. You can't tell me nobody had informed him about the situation. He's supposed to be my best friend and then he just totally forgets about my existence. Remy had the right to give him a piece of his mind and I won't apologies for my mates actions."

"Luke didn't know about the rape. Give him a god damn break!" Noah snapped, a low growl following.

"Tell him to answer his phone next time I call." Genevieve snapped back at Noah, before ending the call.

Genevieve could feel her heart racing in her chest and her mouth became dry. Dizziness took over, as she slumped to the ground unconscious.
