SerendipityEpisode-16Placing the phone down, she took the food out of the microwave as a message from Aai's whatsapp displayed on the screen...the biodata and photo of Mihir Vyas... Aai was just excruciatingly adamant about certain topics .... and tonight, Megha really did not have the energy to read that biodata or see the photo ..The customary instructing sentence , 'Think of Aarya if not of yourself' was also attached below it...Aai had even asked about Purab many times hoping that Megha would make some attempts to covert their friendship of so many years into something more and that she would think of him as a prospective husband...Megha had completely drained herself trying to repeatedly convince Aai that Purab was just a good friend..Aai still didn't know about Purab's marriage proposal and Megha didn't dare tell her for the fear of hearing another long , winding speech but , of course, Baba knew everything ... Megha and Baba were experts in keeping each others' secrets...In all honesty, there was nothing worthy of rejection in Purab... a smiling and friendly personality, a much loved boss by everyone in the office, a helpful and intelligent persona and a successful professional...He was the obvious next-in-charge of SWC after Gupta Sir's retirement... event today, all of the important decisions of the office were in his hands....The only drawback was that he was 2 years younger than Megha...When Megha raised this concern , he had said," Age is just a number... don't give too much importance to it" ...He was also ready to take the complete responsibility of Aarya.... Him and Aarya had a beautiful relationship.. he often used to come home to chat and play with her ...In the early years of thier friendship, he often used to tell Megha intimate information about his girlfriends and other friends enquiring who was good for marriage... So, Megha was familiar with many of his elite friendsDespite being constantly accompanied by a plethora of beautiful girls including various movie actresses, he remained unmarried till date...Three years ago, when he had asked Megha for marriage, she had been shocked for a moment and then burst out laughing ... Only he knew what he had seen in this saree-lover Megha...Of course, she had always been favoured by Gupta Sir .... even thought he always loved her like a daughter, Megha took care that thier relationship remained professional...They must have been looking for a sweet girl from a well-to-do , rich family for their Purab... No matter how loving and affectionate they were, why would someone choose a mother of a ten-year-old girl for their unmarried son?And Megha didn't want anyone's sympathy... No one needed to accept her and Aarya out of mercy or pity... She was more than capable of taking care of Aarya on her own..Some relationships just can't go beyond friendship .. or perhaps , they shouldn't ... Megha and Purab's relationship was one of them .. a pure friendship and nothing more...'Of course i understand that Aarya needs a Papa with a Mumma , too !! But sometimes we don't take the necessary action despite understanding its vitality...Aai just sends the resume of anyone she finds... How can you trust someone so quickly?? We have to consider Aarya's feelings also...How can we ask her to accept a stranger as her father so quickly ?? How can she share her life with a complete stranger all of a sudden?? Shouldn't she first learn to understand and live with this complete stranger??After being alone for so many years, I don't see any meaning left in all of this... Once the world plays its cards which are not in your favour , your world will remain incomplete forever... Right now, i neither have the capacity nor the courage to start everything again...My age to fall in love has already passed.. In a few months, I will be 35 years old...I have experienced love to the fullest with Sameer... Now, only duties remain to be fulfilled and responsibilities to be carried out... I am completely fine the way I am'Unbeknownst to her, soemone up there was laughing at her...'There is no rule written in stone that love happens only once in a lifetime...There is no certain age to fall in love... No matter how hard you try to not fall in love, at some point, it engulfs your heart... someone knocks on the door of your heart... a companion to love .... a partner in life....He is also imperfect like you' Suddenly, a message came from Purab , 'Come to the office early tomorrow... Let's finalize the presentation for the Supreme meeting''But aren't you going to the meeting? Because I have the Sehgal project already.' She replied.'Yes , I am going, but you should also be there. Let's finalize it together once' Purab suggested.'Supreme!! Hmm, ok!' She answered and for a moment Rajeev Mehra's face appeared in front of her eyes... those glistening yellow-brown eyes materializing before her ....
