SerendipityEpisode-42After completing all the admission formalities—new uniform, books, and supplies—Megha and Arya happily arrived at Megha's office. Today was the day Megha would fulfill her promise to Arya to take her to the office during her vacation.As they entered, everyone’s attention turned to Arya with pleasant surprise.Her familiar faces, like Akshay and Siddharth Uncle, came by to greet her, and she wandered over to Rashmi and Kritika’s desks, taking it all in.Arya looked into someone's laptop, exchanged friendly smiles, accepted a chocolate from someone’s drawer, and fielded questions about her school and recent results.She relished this extra attention as Megha Ma’am’s daughter.Unfortunately, her beloved "Gupta Grandpa" was away in Ahmedabad for an important meeting, so she couldn’t meet him.“Now that you’re here, why don’t you sit and study a little?” Megha suggested as she led Arya into her cabin and gestured for her to sit in the chair opposite her desk.“Mom! I just got admitted, and you’re already making me study? Can’t it wait until school starts?”“Oh, but look at all the wonderful new books! Just take a look, and you’ll get an idea of what you’ll be learning this year. I’ve always loved the smell of new books,” Megha said with a smile, placing a new math book in front of Arya.Arya sat there, flipping through the fresh pages of her books, while Megha busied herself with work plans for the upcoming week. Just then…“Hi, Princess!” Purab walked into the cabin with a grin.“Purab Uncle! I got into Singhania School!” Arya exclaimed, practically bouncing with excitement.“Well done, kiddo! That’s worth celebrating!” Purab cheered, jumping with her in delight.Watching the two of them, Megha couldn’t help but smile, thinking of how Purab, too, had grown up alongside Arya.“Come on, Arya, let’s head to my cabin and order pizza! Your momma won’t let us have any fun here.” He gave Megha a mischievous look, pretending to be afraid of her strictness.Megha narrowed her eyes, feigning irritation. ‘The gluttony has started again, I see. And Arya is his little accomplice.’“Purab, be careful! You had a fever just two days ago. Maybe skip the pizza?” Megha cautioned.“Don’t worry, Mom. I’ll make sure he only gets one piece,” Arya teased, claiming the larger share for herself.“See, Megha Ma’am? Arya’s got it under control. No need to worry.” Purab laughed, playfully calling her “Ma’am.” Then he and Arya went to his cabin, leaving Megha to focus on her work once again.*@*@*@*@*“Rajiv, have you made the changes to the contract for the Technosis project as we discussed?”“Yes, Sanyal Sir. I’ve made the changes and included the important clause you mentioned. But…are you sure about this?” Rajiv asked, a hint of doubt creeping in.“I’m completely sure. Sign the contract and make sure it reaches their office by tomorrow,” Sanyal sir responded confidently.“Yes, Sir. And about the press release…news channels and print media are eager to know who Supreme is awarding the project to.”“There’s a press release at 7 p.m. I’ll address it myself. Will you be attending as well?” Rajiv hoped Sanyal sir would be there for the announcement of such a major decision.“No, I’m heading home early today. You can handle the press release.”“No problem, Sir. I’ll manage. Don’t worry,” Rajiv reassured him before ending the call.*@*@*@*@*Meanwhile, Megha was engrossed in preparing the Sehgal project plan on her laptop.Thoughts of her recent presentation for Supreme and their meeting with Technosis drifted through her mind.Casually, she checked the latest economic and market updates to see if there was any news about Supreme and Technosis.Nothing yet.‘It’s been two days since the Supreme meeting… Why hasn’t the news about the Technosis contract been announced yet?’ she wondered, a trace of anxiety creeping in.That day, Rajiv was supposed to finalize the contract. But now…what had happened? There was no way to know.‘Who else can tell me? Maybe the CFO… Rajiv. This suspense is unbearable.
