Chapter 17

It's November 28th, which means we just got back from Thanksgiving break. All six of us agreed to go home to our families and honestly, i'm happy to be back at school. My first class of the day is Tech and everybody and their mother is in that class, which makes it pretty fun. It's a fun class none the less, the teacher is awesome and it has been my favorite class since middle school. The bell had rung so Owen, Rachel, Sydney, Dylan, Cameron, and I sat at our usual work area. Across the room, Trevor, Nat, Sarah, Sam, Josh (this new guy), and Jenny sat in their area. For the project that we were working on, we needed partners and this could go either good or bad. I take that back, it would go very bad. Mr. Estee announced that he will be assigning partners, and I thought he was the nice teacher.
"Owen, you will be with Trevor."
Owens face immediately got red and he clenched his hands into a fist. I slammed my head on the table.
"Dylan and Josh"
I could see Josh smile from across the room. Who the fuck is he?
"Rachel and Nat"
Rachel cracked her fingers.
"It's on bitch," she said quietly enough so only we could hear.
"Sam and Alexia"
Rachel stepped on my foot aggressively as my eyes widened. Dylan, Rachel and I exchanged an alarmed look.
"Cameron and Sarah"
Rachel slams her head against the table while Cameron groans.
"Sydney and Jenny"
Rachel and I both look from each other to Sydney.
The teacher announces other partnerships then tells us to get to work.
"Okay guys I'll be right back Im just going to slit my throat real quick," Dylan says as we all agree.

I look at him, my elementary school crush. I needed to focus on this project because there is no way in hell that I'm letting him distract me. Besides, I have Owen. I glance across the room to see Owen and Trevor just waiting to kill each other. Dylan and Josh seem to actually be having fun, but Josh seems to be a bit more into it. Sydney is just focused on her work and isn't talking to Jenny at all. Nat is all smiley while Rachel is giving her the death stare, and Cameron seems to be miserable. Well it's gonna be a great time in tech...
