The next morning, Qiao Ying woke up early and put on her favorite outfit.

This was the first time she felt appreciated. She was so excited that she almost couldn’t sleep all night.

“Grandpa has taught all of us since young to be honest even if we are incapable.” Qiao Ying continued righteously, “It’s their business that they were punished. I’m not them and I didn’t do anything wrong.”

Qiao Xin raised her hand to slap Qiao Ying as usual, but this time, Qiao Ying grabbed her hand.

“You still want to hit me?” Qiao Ying’s face was tensed. Her hands were trembling slightly but she still held Qiao Xin’s hand tightly and continued with a smile, “I won’t let you hit me again, not ever.”

Qiao Xin frowned, “Are you fighting back now?”

Qiao Ying flung Qiao Xin’s hand away rudely. “We’re both descendants of the Qiao family. You’re not nobler than me, stop bullying me.”

Qiao Xin laughed wildly when she saw Qiao Ying speak so righteously.

“That’s so funny. What did you say? You’re a descendant of the Qiao family? And we are equals? That’s too funny.” Qiao Xin laughed holding her tummy, like she has heard the funniest joke on earth.

“You don’t know yet, do you? How could a person like you be a descendant of the Qiao family? How could you be a biological child of our parents?”

Qiao Xin looked at Qiao Ying as she slowly said this.

“Smack!” Before Qiao Ying could react, Qiao Xin was slapped to the ground.

That person was very strong, and he didn’t even make a sound when he came near them.

“Who do you think you are?” Qiao Yue stood shielding Qiao Ying.

“Third uncle and third aunt are also very interesting. Qiao Ying helped them to turn over a new leaf, but they don’t want her anymore?”

Qiao Xin looked at Qiao Yue and held her face with a cold smile. “Do you know what you’re saying?”

“Let’s go.” Qiao Yue didn’t want to argue with Qiao Xin. They were going out today to have some fun, and with second brother too.

Qiao Yue turned and pulled Qiao Ying along with her, ignoring Qiao Xin.

Qiao Yue and Qiao Ying got into the car and found Qiao Jing in the driver’s seat.

“Second brother, why are you driving yourself?” Qiao Ying was a little confused. Qiao Jing did not usually drive.

“I’m taking the two of you out for a day of fun, there’s no need to have the driver with us. It will just be us.” Qiao Jing said with a smile.

Qiao Jing handed them a paper bag with freshly baked buttered bread and coffee. “Take these. It’ll be your breakfast.”

The car drove steadily on the road.

Qiao Ying fell asleep in the back seat and Qiao Yue opened the paper bag. There was a paternity test report inside.

It showed that Qiao Ying and the third madam were not blood related.

“Just as I expected.” Qiao Yue put the report back and found that there was another report in the bag.
