Xandra's POV

"Well, what's wrong with that? Kylie has always been super close to James." Antony said, raising an eyebrow.

Correction: they aren't super close, they're fuck buddies.

"Uhm, I didn't know that. I didn't know that Sam was also close to him." I said, unsure of saying anything wrong infront of him.

"Who's Sam?" Antony asked, as Bethany took a seat next to him.

"Kylie's step cousin. You know the blonde girl who hangs out with Xandra and Jessica?" Bethany said, and Antony nodded.

"We used to hang out. We don't do that anymore." Jessica said, quietly, and I realized she was going to spill the beans.

"What? We still hang out. Just yester-"

"Don't do that Xandra. You seriously aren't a professional liar." Jessica butted in, and I fought the urge to roll my eyes.

"What is wrong, guys?" Chase asked, standing beside Ryder.

I looked at Chase, and then at Ryder, and then again at Chase, and I swear I could see something red on his neck.

I smirked at him, as he cleared his throat.

"Well?" Chase asked again.

I sighed. Chase would be so heartbroken if he found out Sam's truth.

She truly didn't deserve Chase, even as a friend.

"Well, she betrayed us." Jessica said, and I mentally face palmed myself.

"Just because, Sam's Kylie's cousin, she betrayed you both?" Chase asked, in disbelief.

Oh no. You've got it all wrong Chase.

She didn't just betray us, she stabbed me, in the stomach.

"No. It's a long story Chase. You won't understand." I sighed, but Jessica and Chase gave me a look.

I realized that Cole was now sitting next to me. He was looking at me too.

"Please Xandra. I wanna hear the story too." Mason said, and I smiled at him.

Just at the moment, Cole's mom and dad along with the doctor came into the room, and we all were told to get out. Not rudely though.

"Well, now what?" I said, as I stared at Chase.

"Let's go to my house. It's near."

"All of us?"

"Yeah. Everyone can come if they really wanna know."

Everyone nodded in agreement, including Bethany, Antony and Travis.

I didn't notice Travis till now.

Chase started walking out, everyone following him out slowly.

Travis winked at me, as he walked away.

Cole rolled his eyes at him, as he signalled me to go before him.

"Lady's first." He smirked, and I rolled my eyes.

"Then, you should be the one going." I smirked at him as well.

He sighed.

Entangling my hand in his, He started walking, and I realised that my legs were moving too.

He kept staring at our hands.

His hand was made to fit in perfectly with mine.

I smiled at Cole, hoping he didn't notice my red cheeks.

He smiled back, as he came closer, near my ear, his breath tickling me.

My heart was racing against Usain bolt.

"You're spoiling me, kitten."

"Then, why don't you spoil me too?"

I realised what I said, as I mentally smacked myself.

Cole saw my reaction, as he muttered something like, "when will you?", and something more which I didn't hear.

"Monkey, let's go, we are getting late." I said, as we both reached Cole's car.

"Oh! So Cole is the monkey and Xandra's the kitten! How lovely!" I heard Jessica shout loudly, from Brody's car, attracting everyone of my friends attention.

Cole rolled his eyes and sat inside his car.

I, on the other hand, blushed deeply, before hurrying into the car.

Cole didn't know where Chase lived, so I gave him the instructions.

"So, you were saying something?" He asked me, once we were on the road.

"Was I?"

"Yeah. Was it James?"

The car got silent. The only thing which you could hear was the engine's sound.

"Yeah." I finally said, after sighing deeply.

"Is this what you and Antony were trying to hide from me?"

"Uh. Yea--"

"Why?" He sounded as though his life depended on my answer.

I gulped.

"Because, Antony said you'd get very angry, and that you might envolve the cops."

"And even you were trying to save James?"

"Oh, Lord. No, you don't un--"

"I do. I understand everything. Aren't you scared, even a little after finding out that James is coming back? After all the things he has done to you?" He questioned, his eyes trained on the road.

"I am not scared. In fact, I am ready to face that beast of a human. And speaking of the all the things he did, he did all that because of what I did to him. I destroyed him. And if he comes back infront of me, I will still destroy him, for what he has done to Mason."  I said, my voice neutral.

Being scared is a weakness, and I am not weak. I just can't have a weak point if I want revenge.

I am Alexandra Black, and Alexandra Black isn't weak.

Cole just stared at me, before tangling my hand with his big ones.

"I'm with you in this."

I nodded at him, before slowly getting closer to him.

I quickly placed a kiss on his cheek, as I sat back properly.

I prayed silently that Cole didn't notice my red cheeks.

Sparing a glance at him, I noticed he was still staring at me, in disbelief.

I swear, I saw something red on the back of his neck, and his ears.

He was blushing?

I didn't say anything else, before quickly stepping out of the car.

I didn't turn, or wait for Cole, just walked right into Chase's house. His door was unlocked.

Entering the living room, I realized that everyone was already seated, waiting for me.

"Hey." I said, sitting on the double couch.

"The story." Jessica said bluntly, and I passed her a look.

"Okay...I'll just start. Wait for Cole, though."

"Why is he taking too much time? Did you two have s--"

"No. Don't even complete that. We didn't do anything."

Jessica chuckled lightly, as Cole walked in.

He made a direct eye contact with me, and I quickly looked away.

What is wrong with me?

Everything.

Shut up.

Like I'm going to listen to you.

You have to. I'm you, and you're me. We're the same. You have to listen to me.

If that's the thing, then you listen to me.

Fuck off.

Why y--

"Xandra...Xandra...Xandra!" Chase said, waving his hand in front of my face.

"Huh?" I said, looking at him, puzzled.

"You kinda spaced out. Are you alright?" Cole asked me, from my beside.

I realized that he was sitting just beside me.

"Yeah. The story. Well...it all started with my locker...."

I told them everything. The whole Sam doing her bullshit.

Chase was the one who looked the most shocked.

"Why did she do all this to you?" Antony asked.

"I don't know. Kylie's instructions."

"Damn. I didn't know Kylie would go this far." Travis said, amused and a bit shocked.

Just at the moment, Antony got a call.

"What the fuck?!" He shouted, before hunging up.

"What's wrong?" I asked him, carefully.

"James just got arrested, for hitting Mason." Antony said, standing up.

"That was bound to happen." Cole said, blankly.

"I didn't know your father would file a case for such a small incident?"

"Small incident? My brother was in this situation, all fucking thanks to your step brother." Cole said, his tone void of any emotion.

Antony rolled his eyes, before walking out of the room, and out of the house.

"Guys. We should go too." I said, standing up.

Everyone nodded before standing up.

Walking out of the house, I had one damn thought stuck in my head.

I'm finally going to meet James.
