"Where have you been" Nat yelled at me immediately she saw me. "Bella has been screaming your name since" she continued.

"Sorry it took me ages to find her class locker" I lied.

"Oya go and meet her before she kills you" she advised.

"Kk" and I left to meet Bella.

"Do you know how long ago I sent you" Bella said seriously.

"Yh, I'm sorry...it took me a while to figure out which one was your locker" I lied.

"Your lucky I'm not in the mood to punish" she said.

"Thank God" I praised.

"Oya leave I'm busy" she said and I went to sleep and since its Wednesday and we don't have afternoon prep on Wednesdays and Fridays I could sleep for any amount of time. yay.

It was almost time for dinner and I hurriedly wore my ripped jeans and the cropped hoodie I newly ordered ,Adidas shoes and a navy blue golfer cap with my special watch and headed downstairs with the girls.

As we got to our table, Henry and Caleb were already there and we got two large pepperoni and beef pizzas with drinks to eat.

As we were eating the big 4 plus rylie stepped in and Asher was holding a four layer cake and it was soccer themed, it was creative. And they sat on their table and rylie joined.

"Makes sense that the king got a king sized cake" henry said.

"Swr ...but isn't James meant to be king cause his the rightful heir to the throne" I asked but they just shrugged.

"He's so quite" I continued and henry and Caleb shared a look but I ignored it. We continued chatting when someone interrupted us.

"Hey guys, asher said I should give you guys some" rylie said holding a tray of cake pieces (and Its chocolate, I love chocolate). "Well except Ann sha" he continued and I was taken back.

"Hmm...thanks" fay said taking a piece and I looked at her in disbelief and she looked back.

"What its chocolate cake...I can't let that slide" fay defended and rylie chuckled.

"Yh me too..sorry b" Nat said also taking a piece. "Wish him happy birthday from us" she continued. And the rest also took their share sending me an apologetic look.

I looked back at asher but he just smirked and winked at me then rylie left too mouthing a "sorry".

" mehn I thought after our encounter we would at least be friends" I said.

"What encounter" nat said as she is just next to me.

"Nothing" I said in a rush, shit did I just say that out loud. But Nat gave me a worried look.

"I can't say" I whispered and she understood.

As we finished up our food rylie whispered in my ear "ash wants you outside" and I was scared to even move but I loosened up after some time and got up.

"Excuse me" I said and left.

I walked outside and looked around and saw  Liam under a tree close by and I went to meet him. "What do you want" I said slightly annoyed.

"Hello to you too" he said sarcastically.

"Look asher I ..." Tried to say.

"Ase don't call me that" he said.

"Call you what" I asked not getting.

"Ash nor Asher... Call me Liam" he said.

"Why" I asked.

"Only friends call asher...close friends call me ash, we've not gotten to that stage of friendship" he explained.

"So what are we" I asked.

"Let's say we're frenemies" he said with a grin.

"Good enough" I concluded. "By the way nice tattoos" I remembered and he stiffened.

"What" he said shocked.

"You know the love - hate on your pelvic where the v is meant to start and the heart surrounded by fire on your right shoulder " I explained.

"How did you know " he asked.

"I saw them when you saved me from drowning and your sweats went down a bit cause of the water" I said.

"Oh OK its cause of my mum...that's how I feel about her" he said.

"Eyaa" I comforted.

" if its like that I like the 3 piercings on one ear thing you got" he said.

"Wow impressive... People rarely notice it" I said impressed by his observance.

"Yh ...I'm not weird or anything but I was studying you during movie night" he said rubbing the back of his neck leaning on the tree and I giggled.

"Well stop it you won't graduate" and we both laughed.

"How did you get it anyway" he continued.

"Nat dared me last year...I got 3 and she got 2" I explained.

"Cool" he concluded. "Anyway I mainly called you to give you this" he said reaching into the small Gucci bag  he was carrying (I didn't even notice the bag) and brought out the smallest (top) layer of the cake.

"I wanted to give you personally before the boys tease me...especially Elliot and Rylie" he said.

"Aww thanks, I love chocolate" I said taking it.

"Me too" he smiled.

"Happy birthday ash..em..I mean Liam" I said sweetly.

"Yh thanks to you" he said poking my cheek and I grinned making my dimple prominent.

When the bell rang indicating night prep over ( I didn't realize how long the gist was).

"Well thanks again ,gotta go" I awkwardly said and turned.

"Hey don't I get a hug" he said pouting and I try hugging him.

"Psych...don't touch me" he said grinning and left while I was just left there shocked but eventually left too.

Hey loves lemme clear some things.

Oya is a Nigerian slang meaning "alright" or "let's go" or a moving forward expression.

Eyaa/doh is a Nigerian slang meaning "sorry" or "awww"

Ase is a command meaning "stop" or "hold it right there"
