Artificial Intelligence

We pulled up to the first clan house, which just happened to be Rivers' clan. The Roux clan which are known for their agility.

I stopped the car directly in front of the building which looked similar to the Frosts' clans but much smaller.

Opening my car door I walk over to Amelia's side and helped her out. No one had come outside to greet us yet so either their security really sucks or they're expecting us.

"Wakey wakey eggs and bakey!" I shout and banged on the trunk.

There's a thud from inside and then a groan. Looks like River's awake.

I opened the back and there he is looking up at me with one eye. The other one has swollen shut from our time in the alley.

"Up an at em' River boy, time to see mommy and daddy." I say and haul him out. He lands on the ground with a loud thunk.

"Ready." I ask turning back to look at Amelia.

"Yeah, this should be fun." She smiles.

"You're a little masochist aren't you." I say and give her a smile.

She just gives me an innocent look and reaches for one of my free hands, interlocking our fingers.

Reaching down, I grab River by his ankle and we make our way up the steps to the door.

It opens for us and we walk through to find the place deserted. Suspicious.

"I guess they are expecting us." Amelia states.

We continue on inside and head towards the lift, we are heading towards the energy I feel inside the building, so we just head on up until I can feel what floor they are on. As soon as I feel it I push for the lift to stop by it continues up for two more floors.

"Stupid machine." I mutter and kick the door.

"Well excuse me miss attitude, maybe you should have pushed a button for a floor instead of guessing." An automated voice says.

"Did. Did it just talk back to me?" I ask Amelia, shocked.

"I think so." She says holding me tight. She's still afarid at how fast it moves.

"I'm not an it, lady. I'm an artificial intelligence." It says with sass.

"If you were so intelligent then you should have been able to stop on the floor I chose, instead you had to continue up two floors instead of one." I say smirking.

"How dare you! I should just drop you to the bottom floor you ungrateful worm!" It replies.

"Go right ahead......" I trail off as Amelia slaps me in the back of the head.

"What was that for?" I ask and drop River's leg to rub the sore spot.

"Baby stop antagonizing the machine  before we get dropped!" Amelia hisses looking absolutley terrified.

"Yeah 'baby' stop antagonizing me before you get hurt, listen to the pretty lady. It make a wierd sound.

I think it's laughing at me. Then I hear it say something that makes me mad.

"Whipped." It says, then made that laughing sound again.

"You wanna fight me?!" I shout looking up into the camera in the corner.

"No, I'm too smart for such barbaric actions." It says smugly.

"Dealia baby, please let's go. If you want to fight the machine please do it on your own time. When I'm not with you." Amelia pleads.

"You're lucky my lady is so nice, or you'd be in for a world of hurt!" I tell it.

"Yeah, yeah just hurry up and get out you brute." It says sounding bored.

The doors open and Amelia rushes out looking as if she would kiss the ground. I grab River and drag him out.

"Later loser!" It shouts at my back.

"Yeah, well you mother was an escalator!" I shout back.

"Is that the best you got?" It asks doing that laughing thing again.

"The best I've got would end up with you being erased and deleted you computer program." I tell it.

"Yeah? Well bring it on lady, bring it on." It says and the lift doors close.

"You're lucky I'm busy or I'd be all over your digital ass." I say as Amelia tugs on my shirt to tries to pull me down the hall.

"Whatever you have to tell yourself lady." It says and the lift heads down.

I watch it until it leaves then I turn to Amelia.

"Did you hear what that computer said to me?"I ask Amelia and begin walking down the hall.

"I heard babe and I know for a fact that you could kick it's ass, you are a bloody ninja afterall." She says while rubbing my back.

That calmed me down a little and I lean over and give a small kiss.

"Let's get this over with." I say when I pull away as we reach stairs to go down two flights.

"Stupid machine." I mutter as we exit onto the right floor and walk down to a large door at the end of the hall. Without pausing or scanning the door, I lifted one foot and kicked.

The door flew inwards, the metal straining then tore apart, it flew through the room and collided with someone who screamed out in pain and then all eyes turned to us.

Inside the room stood at least a thousand people, a couple council members, a butt load of warriors, some politicians and some regular people.

"Hello there all. How come we didn't get an invite to the party?" I asked as we entered the room. I dragged River forward then threw him onto the large table in the middle of the room.

Everyone who was close to the table backed away from it in horror as they got a look at him.

"Is that yours? I found him hiding behind a building. Nice fellow if I do say so myself, shame about his face though." I say in a bored tone.

No one answers, their gazes flickering between me and the unconscious man.

My gaze tracks over the whole room taking in everyone here. But I pause when I see something in the corner.

"Are those krispy kreme donuts!?" I shout and run over to the table, pushing everyone out of my way.

The metal door was in my way so I kicked it again and it went into a wall. Under the door was none other than Red, the council member who I had knocked out earlier. He began moaning and groaning as soon as the door was off him.

I rolled my eyes and made it to the table, grabbed a donut and took a big bite and let out a loud moan.

"Oh my god babe, these are delicious. Do you want one?" I asked Amelia who was still at the front of the room.

"No I'm good. Enjoy." She said trying to hold in her laughter.

After I had devoured about three donuts I grabbed a drink and picked up two more and made my way back to Amelia, 'accidently stepping on Reds' hand as I passed.

" Maybe yoy should get off the ground if you don't want people stepping in you." I tell him as I pass.

I place my food on the table and reach for two chairs and take Amelia's hand so she can sit and I sit beside her and pick at my food.

One person inches past us and makes it to the hole in the wall as she goes to walk out she's bounced back into the room and falls on her ass. I choke a little on my food and Amelia rubs my back.

The woman gets back up and approaches the door slowly, reaches her hand out and touches the barrier. When her hand gets pushed back she tries her whole body again and she's forced back again.

"Lady!" I shout at her and she looks at me with wide fear filled eyes.

"Nobody's leaving this room until I say so. So pull up a seat and relax." I say and turn back to face the room.

"Who wants to go first?" I ask them and they all look at each other.

"Nobody's got anything to say?" I ask with a raised eyebrow.

"You sent your boy over there after us, so now we're here in person and everyone's to scared to say anything?" I say as I finish my last donut.

I sigh and pull out my guns then lean back in my seat. Everyone's eyes goes wide and they all take a step back.

"I guess I should just kill you all then huh?" I ask and scratch the top of my head with a gun.

The room erupts in chaos as everyone tries to find an exit, but the entire room is warded so they aren't going anywhere. When they finally realise this they stop and look at me like they want to piss their pants.

"Want to talk now?" I ask and they all nod yes, looking like giant bobble heads.

"Good let's get some room service up here first, we might be here for a while." I say and press my wrist comp to access the building and speak into it.

"I need some food delivered to the confrence room on the eighth floor." I say and hear a familiar voice.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't miss whipped herself."
