RECAP
Lizzie turned to MG. "MG? i need your compulsion skills. Would you like to be, the Robin to my Batwomen?" Lizzie asked, which was very cringy.
"Actually, Batwomen doesn't have a Robin. She-" MG was cut off.
Lizzie groaned. "Metaphor, nerd. Let's go." Lizzie patted MG's chest, walking off with MG.
ââââ
You, Landon and Hope walked down the corridor of the High School. "This is the senior hallway, where I spent much of my formative years stuffed in every locker... expect this one. That one doesn't open." Landon explained, putting his hand on the one that doesn't open. Why did he need to explain every single detail about this high school, there was nothing ever special about it. "On your left, you'll find the bathroom. It's where I had my first kill with a toilet." He stated.
Hope being Hope and having enough of this spoke up, causing us to stop in the middle of the hall way. "I'm sorry. Is that fact I'm not openly hostile to you make it seem like we're back to being friends?" You grabbed Hope's arms, your eyes questioning why she had to say that, she just shrugged.
Landon stood there in shock for a couple of seconds as Hope walked off. You followed after Hope and so did Landon. "Uh, sorry. Just, I was going for effortlessly natural. But this is all just making me really nervous. Like, the school and seeing Connor and being with you..." You chocked on air at the mention of his name, the bully that you had a crush on. Hope realised and stared at you with wide eyes but changed her demeanour back to annoyance when she looked at Landon.
Hope was quick to change subjects. "Shouldn't you be talking to anyone you know?" Hope questioned with a chuckle at the end.
"That's easier said than done." Landon replied. "There is no way Dana's clique is talking to me unless you have a spell that will make me retroactively cool." Landon rambled.
"Well," Hope cocked her head to the side. "I'll talk to them, then"
"It's even worse for you. Trust me. You have no idea how human high schools work." Landon paused and Hope rolled her eyes. "You're the new girl. Might as well be radioactive." We all looked over at a girl as she cut in.
"I'm sorry. You look traumatised. Are these losers bothering you?" The girl asked. You scrunched up your face as she called you a loser.
Hope took this as an opportunity for something. "He keeps trying to get me to buy his mis tape. She hasn't really said anything." Hope looked at you and Landon.
The random girl looked at Landon and you and scoffed. "Gross. Well, we're going to lunch. You hungry?" The girl questioned. You felt yourself getting angry as she talked about you and Landon like that.
"Famished." Hope replied with a smile. Walking off with the girl.
You looked at Landon and he looked at you. "How do I know you again?" You questioned as a joke. Landon squinted his eyes at you like 'what the hell did I do'. "Come on." You rolled your eyes.
ââââ
You and Landon walked down a corridor, the school bell ringing. "I can't. I hate it here. I need to go." You said as you turned a corner.
"Hey." Hope came out of no where.
Landon looked over and got scared a little. "Let me guess. Pigtails spilled her guts and confessed to kidnapping Dana and Sasha. Case closed." Landon summarised in hopes he was right. You moved behind Landon to get to the other side of Hope.
"Her name's Cheryl, and not exactly. But she did in it eme to try out for the cheerleading team." Hope said.
'Who are you right now?" Landon asked. "And what is that thing on your head?" Landon asked, who looked kind of scared.
You cut in. "That's a head-band, Lan." Hope nodded.
"It's a gift... from Cheryl." Hope said, grabbing a hold of the cat ears.
Landon groaned. "You're better than this, Hope." Hope scoffed, bring her hand down to her side.
"Relax, Eeyore. Dana gave it to her. It's potential locator spell material." Hope stated. "Plus, even though Sasha and Connor are dating, Dana was sleeping with him behind her back."
Landon scoffed. "Yeah, some clue." Landon stated.
"Hope, everyone at this school knows Connor s a dick." You spoke up. Hope looked at you with a look of 'we are having a big chat when we get back to the Salvatore school'.
"Come on, Landon. Adultery, missing girls..." Hope scrunched up her face. "It's like every TV show that old people watch. A 'Crime of Passion' I think they call it." You chuckled lightly, Hope's heart warming at the sound of it.
Landon stopped walking. "I know Connor. He's made our life a living hell, but he's not a killer." Landon stated, looking between the both of you and Hope. "Trust me."
"Trusting you is what got us into the mess in the first place." Hope fired back. Hope and you looked behind Landon. "Look, there he is." There was a moment of silence. "So do you wanna play good cop or bad cop? Because I don't think 'emo cop' is a thing." Hope sassily said.
"Oh, very funny." Landon replied with just as must sassiness. "But while you were off making friends, we did some sleuthing of our own." You saw a girl walk in with a scarf around her neck.
You point at the girl, catching all their attention. "Scarf in Virginia heat?" You questioned.
"Sounds like a lead, I think they call it." Landon sarcastically said.
Hope slightly nodded and the 3 of us started walking down the hall way and following the girl.
ââââ
"Let her go." Hope shouted at Kaleb as he was about to feed. We all walked over.
Kaleb rolled his eyes. "Date's over. It's not me, it's you. Now forget this ever happened and get back to class." With that the girl left.
"Great. Hope's already here." Lizzie complained to MG.
Kaleb walked forward. "Thought we were cool, bruh." The vampire said to MG.
"Don't 'bruh' him." Lizzie fired. "Second place or not, we know you killed Dana." Kaleb eyes widen. You all looked at Lizzie.
"Wait, Dana's dead?" Hope inquired.
MG spoke up. "Dr.Saltzman said they found her dead from a vampire bite." MG said, looking Rafael up and down.
Kaleb defended himself. "I didn't kill her, so y'all need to get the hell outta my face." He then tried vamp speeding away but Lizzie reacted quickly and siphoned from Mg.
The spell caused Kaleb to groan in pain and hold his head. "Come on guys, let's go. It's hear time." Lizzie said, keeping her spell on kaleb.
"To the Blondemobile." Hope sarcastically said, you and Landon following the blonde twin.
Lizzie then dropped the spell. "Not so fast, Kaleb." Kaleb got up and looked at all of us.
"I told you, all I did was feed. Torture me all you want to but my answer's gonna remain the same..." Kaleb honestly said. "because I didn't kill Dana."
"Uh, he's right." Landon spoke up.
"What, are you a mind reader now, Landon?" Lizzie glared at him.
He shrugged. "Call it a hunch." We all look over to where Dana appeared coming out of the forest. She was walking then she was crawling on the ground.
ââââ
"We were on the way to graffiti that mill, at your school. It was a harmless prank." She paused. "But then I got snatched. Next thing I remember, I woke up in a ditch. So enjoy it while you can, Lizzie. I'm sure I look like crap." Dana said as she went to rub her next but felt something there. "Oh my god. What is that?" She asked, obviously scared.
You spoke up. "It's..." You trailed off. "Someone help me out here." You stared wide eyes at the vampire bite before looking at Lizzie.
"It's the mother of all Hickey's. You're fine, Dana, you're just a-a little slutty." Lizzie tried to help.
Dana scoffed. "I don't even like any of you." Dana got up. "I should be talking to the cops."
Landon stepped in front of her. "I can't let you do that." He said hesitantly.
Hope stepped forward. "Ad Somnum." Hope said, putting her hand into a fist as Dana dropped to the floor unconscious.
"I mean, she can't let you do that." Landon restated.
Lizzie looked at Kaleb. "So you didn't kill her." She paused. "You freaking turned her?!"
"Turned her?" He looked at the blonde with a 'are you serious' face. "You think I want to sit and listen to that for all eternity?" He questioned.
"Well someone did." Hope said. "Meaning that we have a transitioning vampire on our hands. So what are we gonna do with her?" Hope asked the group.
No one answered so MG decided to pick her up and bring her to the bus. As we got there, Landon opened the back and jumped in to help Mg lay her out.
"So, let me get this straight. Dana died with vampire blood in her system, so she came back to life and now she's in transition." Landon stated MG once they laid Dana out. "And she needs to feed, or die?" He asked once getting out of the bus.
MG smiled. "Nailed it, bro. Easy decision, right?" MG joked.
"All right, so... we give her human blood, it's that simple." Kaleb shrugged like it was no big deal.
"Not everyone wants to be supernatural." Hope said, looking at Dana.
"Some people just want to be normal." You said. Hope looked at you with a sad looked but covered it up so no one saw.
Lizzie spoke up. "Dana's traumatised, you guys. This is a huge decision. Maybe we should give her a day or two-"
Hope cut her off. "She'll be dead in a day if she doesn't feed." She flatly said to Lizzie, looking up at her.
Lizzie had a smug look on her face. "Oops. I suck at math." She joked.
"You should tell her the truth." Landon spoke up. You put your head in your hands as this was so aggravating to watch. "My guess is that she'd be psyched to be at a place like your school... I know I would."
Kaleb spoke up, putting the pressure on MG. "You're awful quiet over there, MG."
"I'm a feminist, bruh. I'm not gonna tell Dana what to do with her body." MG spoke. "What about Kate? She's as quiet as a guinea pig.
You looked up at your name. "Oh I'm sorry that I only found out about the supernatural about over a week ago." You pointed at yourself, Hope rested her hand on your forearm, calming you down. "Besides, I'm not a vampire, and I'm dealing with my own problems at the moment." You mumbled the last part but obviously the vampires heard and decided not to speak up.
Hope sighed. "Leave her alone, guys." Hope said, the group found it odd as to why Hope was guarding you but ignored it.
"Landon's right." MG changed the subject. The group went quiet and all looked at Lizzie.
She rolled her eyes. "Ugh, fine. Okay, but to be clear, she is not joining drill team." Lizzie looked at Hope.
Hope rolled her fist backward. "Surgere." Dana's groans were heard as she became conscious again.
She lifted herself up, sluggishly. "Did I pass out? I don't feel so well." She looked like she was about to vomit.
"We know how you feel. And it's okay, you're just hungry." Hope said.
"Anorexia was sophomore year. This is something else." Dana was quick to answer.
MG spoke up. "You'll feel better after you feed, I promise.."
"Oh, shut up!' Dana yelled, squinting her eyes shut. "For real. Even thinking about eating makes me want to-" It was obvious she was gonna throw up. hope grabbed your wait and pulling you behind her as Dana threw up.
You blocked your eyes. "Oh, damn. What'd that girl eat?" Kaleb asked. All of our faces were scrunched up because of how gross this is.
"I think her soul just got on my shoes." Lizzie whined. "Ew!"
"I think I'm-a be sick, too." MG said.
Landon eyes were shut, looking away. "Is this normal?" Landon asked.
"Sh-she's puking her guts out." Hope commented. "Literally." The yells, groans and vomiting noises were heard as she continued to puke her guts out. "Dana! Dana!"
