RECAP
"Are you happy?" You said immediately after. "Is everyone happier now?" You questioned, tears coming back to your eyes. You watched as Hope stumbled on her words. In real life she was happy but loosing it without you but even fake Hope didn't know.
You nodded as you bit your lip to hold a sob in, looking away from Hope. "Could you leave me for a minute? I don't really want to cry in front of you, even if you're fake." You stated, shutting your eyes as you heard the whooshing of her leaving. You let tears escape your eyes as a small sob escaped your lips.
After a while of calming down you saw the bus coming so you got up, but just then the bus flipped onto its side and stopped in front of you. You dropped your bag as you watched a monster appear and roar at you. "Oh crap." You said as you stared at it.

You walked through the woods as you followed the trail of purple blood of the monster. You bent down and got a closer look at the blood on the log, as you got a whiff of it your face turned into one of disgusted as it smelled gross. You got up and continued walking but you stopped as you reached Mystic Falls High School.
You walked into the building and continued follow the blood trail. You watched as it went to a doro that said 'Janitorial'. You made sure no one was around as you were about to do a spell. "Dissera Portus." You chanted, but no monster.
As you went to look further inside a voice called from next to you. "Aren't you a little short for a janitor?" A guy questioned. Bit rude to say short. "It's nice to know I'm not the only one trying to hide out on the first day of school." He continued speaking.
You moved to face him. "Oh, no, I-I wasn't hiding. I-I was, um, uh, I was looking for the principal's office." You stumbled on a few words as you lied.
The guy smiled. "Well, you're in luck. I'm new, too, but I'm pretty sure that's him right behind you." He pointed to someone walking up.
You turned around. "Hi." Alaric said, the guy leaving. "I'm Principal Saltzman." He said to you. "Who are you?" He questioned, your breathed became a little heavy as he didn't remember you.

Hope looked through a grimoire as she tried looking for a way to get you back, obviously not having a clue you were already back. When she hit a dead end she threw her pen onto the table. "God!" She yelled as she was bothered.
She closed the book and placed it on the pile of books that were no help. Without realising she hit the prism and you appeared but Hope didn't see that. "You okay?" You asked as you sat on her bed.
She looked behind her and saw you, her face lighting up. "Is it really you?" She questioned.
You shrugged. "Depends on how real you want me to be in your subconscious." You responded, sitting on the edge of the bed.
Hope breathed out, tired. "I've tried to find a way to get you back but I keep hitting end after end." Hope explained. "I'm loosing it without you, if I could get you back I wouldn't be loosing it." Hope continued speaking as you nodded.
"Well, think outside the box. You'll figure out something." You replied, even fake you was trying to comfort Hope.
when there was a knock on the door, you vanished and in came Landon. "Hi." She said as she got up from her seat.
He smiled, a big anxious. "Hey. Um, wanna walk with me to class?" He questioned Hope.
Hope nodded, flattening out her skirt. "Sure." She smiled slightly as they both worked out and down the stairs. There was chatter all around from students returning to campus.
As they went to go through the arch a group of students blocked the door. Landon let out a sigh. "Um, excuse me?" He said but none of them moved.
That's when Jed stepped in front of the lot. "Hey." He said as he walked next to Landon. "Show a little respect. This is the guy that killed Malivore." Jed backed up Landon.
They all were surprised and then allowed both Hope and Landon to walk through, Landon getting bombarded with students. "Hey, Landon! Can I get your autograph?" One person said as they came up to Hope and Landon.
"Uh, sure." He said, signing a picture.
"Thanks." The kid said before leaving.
They both looked around, Hope just watching all the students while Landon kept getting love stuff from the girls. Just then he spotted Josie and Josie spotted him. "I'm gonna go, need to do something that involves Raf. See you at the assembly." Hope said as she left, lying through her teeth.
It was now the assembly and Hope was seated next to random students. The new headmaster was speaking. "This school has survived a difficult year. There were monsters and Triad, and frankly, the headmaster you trusted to keep you safe, ended up putting you in more danger." The students murmured as he said that.
"But this year will be different. It's high time this place ran with a little discipline and order. I expect you to work harder than ever before. To be rigorous, to push yourselves. To be perfect." He carried on speaking. "Because I believe every one of you is extraordinary. The students in this room have the power to literally change the world." He started walking down the isle in the middle of the hall.
He looked around the students. "To whom much is given, much is required, and I am requiring of you to be better than humans ever could." He continued speaking. His voice boring Hope. "Because the day is coming when we will step out of the shadows, when you will no longer hide yourselves. Because the future is supernatural." Hope questioned how her life came to listening to an old guy. Everyone applauded for his speech.
"To that end, I would like to award our Salvatore Medal of Freedom to the student who single-handedly defeated Malivore, Mr. Landon Kirby." There was applause and cheering as Landon got up and got the metal, the new headmaster saying something to Landon that Hope couldn't hear.

You now were in Alarics office, sitting down while he went through a clipboard. "You are a blank slate, Miss Kate... Parker." When Alaric said that, it's almost as if he knew or heard that name somewhere. "Parents Tom and Kathleen. No transcripts from your last school." He made a point.
You looked between his eyes. "I think they must've just gotten packed away or something." You lied. "Like I said, we move around a lot." You continued lying.
Alaric nodded his head. "Mm-hmm." He looked down before back to you. "Well, if you are gonna be here in Mystic Falls, you have to go to school." You knew that was coming.
You shrugged. "Well, then I guess it's a good thing I'm here, right?" You questioned. Just then the school bell rang, meaning class was about to start. "Can I go now?" You asked, getting up to head to the door.
"You know, I uh..." Alaric cleared his throat, you turned around to look at him. "I've got two daughters, and I know when they're not telling me something." Alaric stated, talking about Lizzie and Josie. "So, you know, if there's, uh, anything going wrong at home, you know, if you're in any trouble and you need to talk, just know I'm here to help, okay?" Alaric said, just obviously wanting to help.
You nodded you head, faking a smile. "I'm fine." Your voice cracked a little when you spoke before walking to the door, opening it and making your way to the girls toilets.
You breathed in and out heavily as you forgot what that was like, to be cared about. For how ever long you were in Malivore you never got care and only chaos, it was nice to feel cared for but scary. You looked at yourself in the mirror as you held back a sob and to stop tears from falling. "Boy problems?" A girl asked as she saw you, you looked over at her in the mirror.
"Uh... yeah." You looked down, the tears falling back now. "He's kind of a troll." You continued speaking.
The girl looked as if she's dealt with this before. "Oh my god, say no more." She came closer to the table "We'll fix you up and make him jealous." She took her bag off her shoulder and placed it down. "I have an extra shirt in my locker, and I've got hair spray, lip gloss, and new eyeliner." She placed the eyeliner down next to you. You looked down at it before up back to the girl. "Maya." She said.
"Kate." You responded, a little weirded out for some reason. "Thank you." You said with a straight face. "Weird question. Um, by any chance, have you noticed a terrible smell coming from somewhere inside the school?" You questioned.
The girl known as Maya smiled a little. "I think everyone has." She responded.
You now stood in the boys locker room, it really did smell bad. "Teenage boys plus monster. That's a special combo." You said to yourself, but you then realised purple blood on the floor, seems you found the right place.
As you went to go closer, you felt a hand grasp your shoulder and you reacted quickly by turning around and knocking the hand off, getting onto the floor and kicking your feet onto the back of whoever's feet it is and force him to the floor.
The guy let out a grunt, you then got up and placed a hand on his chest as you raised your left hand to punch him. He stammered as he saw you get ready. "All right. Okay, seriously. Who are you?" He said, you lowered your arm and let out a sigh, helping Ric up. "Ah, okay." He said as he held his back.
You looked him up and down, stuttering a few words as you had to lie. "I'm a-a vampire hunter." Ric looked at you, confused, probably because you looked way to young. "And I-I-I came across a creature." You finally told a truth.
Alaric moved his tux jacket to be more comfortable. "What kind of creature?" He questioned.
"A create that's big enough to flip over an empty bus." You stated, Alaric nodded in understanding, although a bit surprised. "It's green, it's ugly and it smells absolutely terrible, so I'm going with a troll?" You looked between his eyes. "And it's hiding somewhere inside the school." You finished explaining.
"Uh-huh. And how do you know that?" He asked.
You looked at him with a 'what' face but then realised he doesn't remember you. "Because I wounded it." You stated, pointing to the purple blood on the floor. "It's nocturnal, so it hides out during the day. I found a legend that says I just have to pierce it through the heart." You explained.
Alaric looked up from the blood and back to you. "Listen, you're not doing anything. Okay?" He had a little smirk on his face that dropped quickly. "You're just a kid. If there's a monster in my school, I'm gonna take care of it." He stated, walking past you.
You scoffed as you turned around to look at him. "No offense, but, um, I've been trying to kill this thing for over a week, and nothing's worked." You cleared that out of the way, obviously annoyed.
He had turned around while you were speaking, amazed at your confidence. "If you are a vampire hunter, then I'm sure you've heard of Alaric Saltzman?" He questioned. "Yeah. I know what I'm doing." He finished, turning around to walk off.
You looked him up and down. "You're very famous around here, but you're gonna need my help." You were keen on helping Ric, knowing he wasn't a match for this monster.
Alaric turned around to look at you. "I have put kids in danger before." Just then the school bell rang. "And I'm not gonna make that mistake again." He stated. The doors opened and people came into the locker room. Alaric cleared his throat. "Yes, of course, we'd love to have you try out for the team. All are welcome." He put on a fake smile to which you just looked down. "But certainly, in the uh, meantime, just go to class and stay there." He whispered the last bit.
You looked up and glared at him as you watched him exit the locker room. You rolled your eyes and went to leave when the guy you bumped into before talked to you. "So, you going out for kicker or are you just stalking me?" He questioned, turning around to look at you.
You looked him up and down, chuckling. "Stalking you? I think it's pretty clear who's stalking who here." You stated with a slight smile. "Besides, if I went out it'd be for QB-one." You raised your eyebrows as you said that. All the boys were 'oohing' at your comment which made you smirk.
