Chapter 92

Zane slumped down on his bed with a sigh. Ever since they found that attic, he had busied himself

with trying to find that monster to get his mind off Kiara and it worked for a while but now that he

was back, she was all he could think about.

He sighed then sat up straight before glancing outside. It was getting dark outside so he had spent

the whole day searching for that monster but for some reason, it was like the monster vanished Into

thin air.

They knew now that the monster could change into a human and that was what was going to make

it harder for them to catch it. He ran his fingers through his hair as he stood up from the bed and

walked over to the window. What could Kiara be doing now?

He really wanted to call her because he wanted to hear her voice so badly but he promised himself

he was going to give her time. He just hated the fact that she had to take her time in Levi's house.

He rolled his eyes when a knock sounded at his door.

"What do you want?" The door opened up slightly and Liam's head peeped through.

“Can I come in?" Zane sighed.

“If you here to apologize again, I don't want to hear it" Liam shook his head as he walked in and

closed the door behind him.

“No, that's not why I'm here. I heard you guys went on an adventure to catch the monster, why

wasn't I invited?" Zane shrugged.

“Maybe because you and Daniel are having problems" Liam frowned.

“I'm not having problems with him, he just wants to pick a fight with me" Zane rolled his eyes.

“I don't want to hear about it. I have a lot on my mind already" Liam sighed.

“I just want to be invited next time. You know I love adventures” Zane nodded and was about to say

something when his phone rang. His eyes widened slightly when he saw the caller Id. He

immediately picked up and pressed the phone against his ear.

“Is she okay?" He questioned immediately.

"Yes, she's perfectly fine, Alpha Zane. We have eyes on her 24/7 but I just felt like I should report this

to you" Zane furrowed his eyebrows.

“What is it?"

“She's not staying in Mr Medici Villa, nor is she staying at her old apartment” Zane frowned.

“Then where is she?!" Liam's eyes widened when Zane yelled.

“She's staying at a new house. The area is pretty nice and we never let her out of our sight" Zane

was confused.

"A new house? Owned by who?"

“This house is under hers and Miss Heather Swift's name, Alpha" Zane furrowed his eyebrows. Kiara

had bought a new house?

“Is Heather there?"

“No, Miss Kiara is all alone" Zane's eyes widened.

“Why?"

“That I do not know, Alpha" Zane ran his fingers through his hair.

"Give me the location now" After listening to the directions, he hung up then turned to Liam.

“Call Daniel here right now" Liam scratched the back of his neck as he let out a nervous laugh.

"Erm you see... I was the one who drove them home that night and Kiara said she needed some

time to herself so she wanted to stay at their old apartment but don't worry, I made sure she was

followed by a lot of warriors” Zane grabbed him by the neck and slammed him against the wall.

Liam whimpered as he tapped Zane's hand but that just made Zane's finger tighten around his neck.

"And you kept this from me because?"

“She didn't want you to come looking for her. I'm sorry” Liam managed to say. Zane groaned before

letting go of his neck.

Liam fell to the ground coughing while Zane grabbed onto his coat and keys.

“You are coming with me" Liam furrowed his eyebrows.

"Where?"

“To Kiara's new house"

As they drove into the estate, A frown appeared on Zane's face. As much as he didn't like to say it,

he knew that Kiara couldn't afford to rent a house in a nice estate like this especially now that she

wasn't working.

He hoped he was wrong and this house wasn't given to her by Levi.

“This is such a nice neighborhood,” Liam murmured as he glanced around.

“Shut up" Liam immediately pursed his lips then folded his arm. Zane was moody and anytime he

was like this, it wasn't a good move to piss him off.

“I think it's that house" Liam said after a while as he pointed towards a small house at the corner.

“Shut up, I know my directions” Zane muttered making Liam pout. Jeez, why did he have to be so

mean?

Zane parked at the side and was about to come down from the car when a car drove past his and

parked directly in front of the house. Zane clenched his fist when Levi climbed out of the car and

rushed up to the front door.

Liam just sat in his chair, watching Zane's body language and expression. Something was about to

happen and he wasn't sure if he was able enough to calm a raging Zane.

Zane's eyes were glued to Levi and seconds later, the door opened up and Kiara walked out. His

breath hitched as he took in her appearance.

She was breathtaking, she was ethereal. He wanted nothing more than to run towards her and

placed kisses all over her body. He should be the one standing there not Levi.

His fingers tightened against the steering wheel and Liam held his breath. Jeez, he needed back up,

he couldn't take Zane's anger.

“I can't take this" Zane muttered after a while and was about to climb out of his car when Levi

wrapped his arms around Kiara and hugged her tightly.

Zane froze. He didn't know how to react and he didn't know what to do. He trusted Kiara now and

knew that that hug probably meant nothing to her but it meant a whole lot of Levi. What he hated

the most was the bright smile on her face.

He used to be the only one that could make her smile that way. Was Levi taking his place slowly?...
