Chapter 27 Show Your Proof

Gwyneth laughed angrily at the receptionist’s words. “Do you even have a good workplace environment here?” she said, no longer patient at the service. She did not intend to hold back since there was no reason for her to do so. Instead, she raised her eyebrows to show that she took no rejections. This was enough to make the girl at the front desk lose the argument.

Looking at the staff’s gaze, Elizabeth cursed to herself but finally opened her mouth because she needed to act as the good guy in the situation. “Ms. Glen, why would you argue with our front desk personnel? It’s a little small–minded of you, don’t you think?”

*So what you’re saying, Ms. Lisle, is that you would just laugh about It if someone with a lower status than you comes up to you and

pushes you down?”

Gwyneth turned to look at Elizabeth and felt uncomfortable when she saw her fake smile.

“What kind of point are you trying to make, Ms. Glen? Don’t forget that we’re in Luther Corporation.”

“So what?” Gwyneth gritted her teeth and said. The little patience she had was almost gone.

“So, you can’t just come in here and cause trouble because you want Mr. Luther to take you back, Ms. Glen.”

“Liam, Liam. Liam. That’s all she cares about. Ugh,‘ Gwyneth could not help but roll her eyes at Elizabeth’s irrational outburst. She had no energy to continue the nonsense, so she took out her business card and put it on the front desk. “I am Gwyneth Glen, the CEO of AMC Group. I’m here to discuss business matters with the project manager of Luther Corporation.”

Gwyneth’s voice was not very loud, but the people at the front desk found it to be as loud as thunder. Their eyes widened, but they could

not say a word. Elizabeth, who was red with anger, turned white after hearing what Gwyneth had said.

“Isn’t she a doctor at the hospital? How could this woman be the CEO of that mysterious company?”

Elizabeth clenched her fists and held back the anger in her heart as the corner of her lips curled upward. “This business card seems real

Ms. Glen, but it is not enough to prove your identity,” she said calmly, but only she knew how fast her heart was beating.

“You want proof? Well, ask your project manager to come down here!”

As Gwyneth said that, she stared fiercely at the front desk employee, who was so scared that she almost fell to the ground. The worker

hastily ran upstairs without hesitation, forgetting she could have called the project manager over the phone.

A few minutes later, the receptionist rushed down with the project manager of Luther Corporation, who was also the person in charge of

the collaboration with AMC Group, following behind her.

“Hi, Mr. Walsh. I’m Gwyneth Glen, the CEO of AMC Group.”

Gwyneth did not personally know Mr. Walsh since she had never spoken to him. However, she went through the contract on the way to Luther Corporation. She discovered that the person in charge of the collaboration was Walter Walsh.

Walter looked at Gwyneth, and although they had not met before, he had seen photos of her when he visited AMC Group; he was certain that the person in front of him was AMC Group’s CEO. However, to avoid any responsibility, he gritted his teeth and said, “Sorry, Ma’am. I

don’t think I know you.”

Elizabeth and the receptionist was relieved to hear that.

“Why would you put yourself in such an embarrassing situation, Ms. Glen?” Elizabeth could not hide her mocking smile anymore. Incidentally, the staff around her started laughing, partially because of the ridicule and to relieve the stress and fear they experienced.

Gwyneth gazed upon Elizabeth’s smiling face and wondered why Liam would fall in love with such a person. She opened the document. took a blank piece of paper from the front desk, and put down her signature.

The crowd looked over curiously, only to see that her signature was exactly the same as the one on the seal of the contract. Even the blind could see that the signature was from the same person. Gwyneth’s evidence and Walter’s denial left everyone at a loss. They did not know who to believe.

At that moment, Larry walked toward them from the side of the hall with Liam beside him.

“It seems like everybody has an easy day, huh?”

The receptionist almost shrieked at the sound of Liam’s icy voice. A cold sweat appeared on her forehead when she saw her boss’s

expression.

“M–Mr. Luther, this lady is claiming to be the CEO of AMC Group. She’s here to talk to the project manager, but…”

Standing at the side, Elizabeth knew that she should not say a word at this moment.

“But what? AMC Group is a partner company of Luther Corporation. The CEO has come down here personally, yet this is how you treat her? * said Liam as he looked at Gwyneth.

In just a second, Gwyneth looked away and thought, “There’s no avoiding this man.”
