Chapter 62
The Sweetest Trophy Wife by Beanie
Chapter 62 My Mercy
Bianca was busy thinking as she lightly patted Judyâs back to calm her down. After a while, the light in her eyes suddenly lit up.
âThatâs right, baby girl. Mommy just remembered something your father told me a while back.â
âWhat is it? I donât want to know anything else except for the companyâs daily business.â
Judy calmed down after her tantrum as if she had vented most of her anger and no longer wanted to talk. In the end, Bianca leaned closer
to Judyâs ear, cupped her hands between her mouth and Judyâs ear, and softly whispered to her.
âDear daughter of mine, let me tell you. That Gwynethâs CEO position may not be for long.â
Judy suddenly got excited from hearing this and immediately grabbed Biancaâs hands to reconfirm what she had heard.
âReally?! What happened?â
âYour father told me a few days ago that he was coming up with a plan with the directors of Glen Corporation to set up Gwyneth.â
Bianca could not help but reveal her excitement after saying that. She explained the happenings at Glacier Lake to Judy without holding out on any details. Gwyneth would likely become impoverished and even face the possibility of imprisonment.
Judy finally felt a sense of happiness after listening to Bianca. The stifling feeling in her chest suddenly dissipated, and she immediately smiled, âI originally didnât plan to work at Glen Corporation anymore. But hearing what you said, I must go no matter what.â
âWhy?â
Perhaps due to the difference in intentions, Judyâs perspective caught Bianca off guard. Then, she saw Judyâs eyebrow arched slightly, seemingly happy.
âHow would I be able to see my dear sisterâs downfall if I donât go to the office?â
Hearing that Bianca finally understood as both mother and daughter smiled at each other.
Judy went to work, as usual, the next day, only to see everything was gone when she entered her office. âWâWhat happened here?!â
The personnel from the HR department was cleaning up Judyâs things when her voice startled him, âMâMs. Glen.â
Everyone in the company knew Judy was Gaspardâs daughter, especially someone from the HR department. The most crucial thing was, though Glen Corporation had not changed its name, the person in control had already changed..
âWhat happened here?! Who allowed you to move my office?!â
âIâItâs our CEO. She had just issued the order.â
âGwyneth againâ¦â said Judy as she gritted her teeth. Any form of rationale was lost in the flames of her rage.
Not giving a damn about the morning rush around her, where many employees moved about, she headed upstairs directly to the CEOâs office. Since the door was already opened, she walked straight into the office, only to see Gwyneth brewing a cup of coffee and looking carefree.
âGwyneth Glen! You better have a good explanation for me!â
Gwyneth heard the voice, and the movement of her hand stalled for an instant. She turned her head to look at Judy and smiled coldly.â Who gave you the courage to barge into the CEOâs office, Ms. Glen? You better have a good explanation for this.â
According to company regulations, Judy knew she was in the wrong. But the events leading up to now made her ignore them.
âAlright. Is that how a CEO should act? To move my office without even a notice? How are you going to explain this?!â
âYou want an explanation? Sure,â said Gwyneth in a soft tone. She turned around, continued to brew her coffee, and returned to her seat after about half a minute.
She crossed her legs, lowered her head, and sipped at the coffee before continuing.
âMs. Glen, you were late to arrive at work yesterday and did not follow the companyâs regulations. You reprimanded one of our frontline employees and even left work early without reason.â
That said, Gwyneth lifted her head and looked at Judyâs stiff face, snorting. âI believe itâs merciful enough of me not to fire you on the spot, Ms. Glen.â
Just as she mentioned, any normal employee that throws a tantrum like that would have been fired by the company long ago. After hearing what was said, Judy was so stupefied she was unable to refute it, even if she wanted to.
âYour workstation is currently being moved to the main lobby. Someone from the HR department will lead you there in a while, Ms. Glen.â
Gwyneth looked coldly at Judy, not bothering to even smile at her.
âIt is also fine if you are arrogant enough to hand in your resignation letter, Ms. Glen.â
Gwyneth coldly smiled as Judy trembled slightly, turned around, left the office, and slammed the door behind her. Looking at the coffee before her, she blinked, got up, and threw the cupâs contents into the basin.
âEven coffee will taste odd with a nuisance around.â
At that moment, a soft knock on the door could be heard. Gwyneth adjusted her expression and answered the door, only to see Wanda come in with a stack of documents.
âMs. Glen, the Board of Directors requested a meeting this afternoon.â
âSomeone really is impatient.â
Gwyneth inwardly smiled when she heard Wandaâs report.
