Day 10 - I have always loved you

"Gem!" an 11-year-old Fourth called Gemini.

"What's up?"

"Have you heard of the legend of seven years of wishing?" Gemini asked.

"Is there something of that sort?" Gemini chuckled.

Fourth rolled his eyes. "Of course you won't know. Let me tell you. If you write a wish and bury it under this sacred tree, it will success before the end of seventh year from the date of wishing."

Gemini laughed holding his stomach. "You believe in this bullshit?"

"Yes, I do. So now take this." He handed him a paper and pen.

Gemini smiled at him and took it.

They both wrote and Fourth leaned to the ground where he dug out soil to bury his wish.

Gemini tried keeping his wish along.

"What are you doing? You dig on the other side." Fourth pushed him.

"Why?"

"Because wishes kept together will not be fulfilled." Fourth pouted filling the pit with sand.

Gemini chuckled and dug a pit on the other side of the tree. "Happy now?" He asked.

"I will keep a reminder with me for each year this day. On the seventh year from now, we will go and dig up our wishes." Fourth said excited.

"By that time won't we already know if our wishes came true or not?"

"Oh yes... Then... We will dig out each other's wishes. What say?" Fourth raised his hand, Gemini responded with a high-five.

Reminder – 7th Year End for Wish Dig-Out

Fourth saw the notification and threw his phone aside. He decided to have nothing to do with Gemini anymore.

He got into the car with his family. "Where are we going on a Sunday?"

"We are going to a temple son." Fourth's mother replied.

Fourth rolled his eyes. But he did not want to stay back home. He did not want to look at his phone and anticipate anything. He wanted to run away from Gemini. Because he wasn't sure if he was ready to let go that guy whom he fell in love with.

When they reached, Fourth realised that this is the same temple where they buried the wishes near the sacred tree.

He face-palmed knowing damn well that he will have a hard time not to go near the tree.

But he somehow managed to not go there and stay busy with his family in all boring conversations.

It was not until he reached his car that he saw Gemini running out of the temple with a wish bottle in his hand.

'Did he read my wish?' Thought Fourth. "Dad, I'll be back in a minute." He said and ran to the tree terrified.

On reaching he saw that his side of the pit was dug. He was about to run after Gemini knowing damn well what he had wished for but then he stopped and turned to look at the tree.

Something in him made him itch to go and check Gemini's wish.

With a broken heart he kneeled on the ground and started digging with his own hands.

He opened the small glass bottle and took out the crumpled paper from inside. And then what he read made him gasp.

He gaped around with tear filled eyes and then before anything, he ran out to his car.

"All the way he kept looking if he could see Gemini anywhere. And finally when he saw him at the corner of a bridge, he asked his father to stop the car. "Dad, I see Gemini there. I will come home with him later."

His father chuckled. "You boys play around whole day, still don't get tired of each other?" He stopped the car and left Fourth on the side of the bridge.

Fourth ran after Gemini. "Gem!"

Gemini stopped abruptly catching his balance somehow. "Fourth!" he grinned immediately looking at him.

Fourth ran to him and stopped right in front. Both were panting and sweating.

Fourth pulled up the note and showed to Gemini pressing his lips in order to not tear up.

'I love you Fourth and wish to be with you forever till I die.'

"You wrote this for?"

"Aunt Lee." Gemini chuckled. Fourth punched his shoulder. "Asshole."

"Can't you read the name?" Gemini asked laughing.

Fourth laughed and saw the crumpled note in Gemini's hand. Gemini followed his gaze and showed up the note to him.

'9-12-21 ILY Gem'

They both looked at each other and laughed once heartily while their tears were still flowing.

"At the end you couldn't decode it on your own." He said.

"Yeah... I am a loser... And a coward... Please punish me." Gemini said. A tear slipped from his eye.

Fourth nodded, walked closer and wiped his eyes. Gemini wiped the tears from Fourth's eyes as well.

"I will punish you." Fourth said and Gemini nodded. "And your punishment is, you cannot breakup with me ever again."

Gemini pressed his lips unable to decide whether to cry or laugh. "Doesn't sound like a punishment to me."

"It is a punishment. No matter how much I bother you, you will live as per this code for your life!" Fourth held Gemini's hands. "Promise me."

Geminin looked into Fourth's eyes and pulled him into a tight hug. "I promise."

They both embraced each other realizing the hidden liking and innocent feelings that they bared for a long time without even knowing the true meaning behind those wishes in their childhood.

Geminin pulled back and kissed Fourth on his cheek. "I am sorry. I got scared. I thought, if we break up, I will lose the friend in you too."

"You will never lose me." Fourth said hugging him again. "Because friend or not, I have always loved you."

Gemini pulled back and looked at him. He kissed him on his lips briefly and then joined his temple with Fourth's. "I love you too."

"Aww my cupid couple is official. I knew it!" Mark said with self-pride raising his collar. Gemini and Fourth rolled their eyes and walked away.

"Hey... Hello? Are you guys not forgetting to say something?" Mark ran after them.

They both turned to look at him and then together said "Fuck you."

Mark gaped at them. "Ford, did you hear that? I assume they tried saying thank you but I am hearing Fuck you?"

"Mark, let's go." Ford tried to suppress his laughter and pull his boyfriend away.

Gemini and Fourth ignored his rambling and walked to home hand in hand.

"So... Umm..." Fourth hesitated.

Gemini looked at him raising his brows.

"A-actually..." He hesitated. His ears turned red.

Gemini looked at him confused and checked his forehead. "Do you have fever?" Gemini asked. "You seem red all over."

Fourth's phone rang before he could answer anything.

"Hello? Ah y-yes Mom... Yes, I know..." Fourth looked at Gemini while speaking. "I know you guys are not coming back today. I will manage alone. Don't worry." He said shyly smiling, looking away and disconnected.

Gemini paused. His bag fell off his shoulder.

Fourth turned to him and gulped. "So... I was... saying..."

Gemini picked up his bag and pulled Fourth's hand. "I don't want to waste even a single second right now..." He was almost as red as Fourth.

As they reached Fourth's house, Gemini slammed close the door and pushed Fourth on the couch.

"Wh-what are you doing?"

"Making you my boyfriend. Officially." Gemini smirked and laid on top of fourth hugging him tight.

"Gem... I am ticklish..." Fourth chuckled as soon as Geminin started to nuzzled his nose in the crook of his neck. He looked up at Fourth who was laughing with teary eyes filled with happiness that resembled his own.

He leaned closer to his face and pressed his lips on Fourth's. Fourth kissed him back. This kiss was hot, passionate and everything that wasn't possible before.

The lips, the tongue, the body and everything was in synch with each other.

As Gem slid his hand in Fourth's shirt, Gemini's phone rang.

"Who the fuck..." He cursed while checking it and accidentally picked it up.

[Did you guys asked me to fuck off when you should be thanking me?] Mark rambled.

Gemini threw his phone away and leaned closer to Fourth again but then heard Mark's voice louder. "You fuckers. I am your cupid..."

"I think you forgot to disconnect." Fourth laughed.

"And it went on speaker?" Gemini chuckled.

They ignored it and continued to kiss when they heard something.

[The camera got on too! Hahahahaha!]

Gemini got up and threw a pillow on his phone. "If you don't disconnect now, don't blame me for Ford beating you up tomorrow."

Once the beep sound was heard Gemini traced Fourth's face with his thumb. "However irritating he is; I am thankful for the 10 days' trial."

"Me too." Fourth smiled and pulled Gemini back into the kiss.

"Your parents will come back tomorrow right?"

"Yeah..."

"You know what it means right?"

"Yeah..."

"So I will not stop..."

"Yeah..."
