Last days have been so life changing. I know this would happen at some point of life but I had no idea that it  would be this soon.

Tomorrow is my engagement and now I am sitting in the haul and getting my henna done.

I was getting flashbacks of the past few days.When i was celebrated my birthday in italy and his sudden confession to me

I don't know when he fell in love with me so hard. I didn't even do anything which can make him fall in love with me, nor that I am beautiful or treated him well.

I was in dilemma after listening to him, it's not that he is a bad or i don't want him as my life partner, or i don't like him.

I really really like him but i don't love him , not now it's way too early for me, i said it back as i didn't wanted to hurt his feelings.

I can't be so bad to him. I know he will get hurt after knowing that i lied to him, but he won't be able to find it.

The way he confessed filled my eyes with tears , how can someone love me that much?

I couldn't say no to him for the marriage, i really want to marry him and fill his life with the happiness, love and care which he deserves from a partner.

Marrying him would be the best decision of my life.

I am happy that this is happening. Our Marriage. But i am nervous too ,how will i handle these things?

When we declared our decision to get married to our family , they were shocked especially my father and brother when they saw the ring on my hand.

They couldn't believe the girl who used to ignore marriage is finally getting married .

Mom , dadi and bhabhi were happy and emotional that the time has finally come to send me off.

Fab will be going with me to his house, i can't leave him alone, he won't be able to live and i couldn't risk his health.

We got a surprise on my birthday, that rakshit and diya were dating from 5 months and have decided to get engaged as well but their wedding won't take place with ours.

I knew something was going on between them from starting but didn't knew how to ask her about her about this.

Tomorrow's engagement and after 7 days of engagement our marriage functions will get started.

We will be leaving for their pushteni (ancestors) haveli 2 days before where all the functions will take place.

His dadi and bua lives there too, and i heard that his bua is little strict and conservative. I am already scared from her.

I hope she is not like the bua's i heard of.

Time skip...

Author's POV

It's their engagement day.Viaansh is already ready in his sherwani. Looking devilishly handsome.

Viraj is helping viaansh in getting ready. He was not smiling keeping his signature features on his face . Viaansh may not have a smile on his face but everyone in his house can see the gleam of happiness in his eyes.

"Aaj toh muskurale!" ( at least smile today) rakshit said to him as he entered his room and stood beside him.

"Smile as much as you want today, after marriage , you have to cry after marriage... you will not be allowed to smile like this...and about your freedom, that will be in the hands of my sister in law."

"That's not gonna happen, she is the source of my happiness,and if i will myself handover my freedom to her."

"I am too happy for you dude."

The door opens, Abhishek (his father) and Nandini ( his mother) rushes to three of them.

Looking at her son finally getting married, she couldn't able to control her tears, she immediately takes a little kohl from her eyes, and puts a black dot of kohl behind their ears.

Abhishek puts his hands on the shoulder of his two sons and keeps them close to him and tells everyone.

" i think... i should talk to mr.aggarwal and get them both married together so that we can be completely free.."

"No, uncle not now, we need time."rakshit blushes and rans away from there and they burst into laughter after seeing his reaction.

"If he doesn't want to get marry tauji, then find a girl for me and get me married, i am ready."viraj says.

Abhishek slaps on his head a bit. " be a little mature before and find a good girl yourself just like your brothers did."

At the engagement venue

The whole hall is full of people, everyone is currently waiting for the couple.Rakshit and Viaansh are already on stage and eagerly waiting for their partners.

Their friends are beside them, rakshit is enjoying their company whereas viaansh was talking very little to them or just shaking his head after listening to their words.

Then all the lights there suddenly turn dimming, As soon as the light dims, everyone becomes completely silent and starts looking at the little light focus just in front of the stage.

Viaansh looks forward and saw shreya and diya coming with very slow steps from dark to bright light.

He gets to see only a glimpse of shreya which makes his heart beat very high. A lot of dancers started dancing in front of them.

He tries to look at her by turning his head around a bit but can't see her properly at all. Viraj suppressed his laughter and hit his stomach with his elbow.

Slowly the dancers who were dancing in front of shreya and diya start moving away by turning left to right and clearing their way.

Viaansh and Rakshit can now see shreya and diya .His eyes are not ready to turn away from  her.

As viaansh stands in front to shreya, as always his intense gaze gives a somersault in her tummy. She lovers her eyes even more.

He stands in front of her and takes her hand and gently presses her hand to gesture her to look at him.

"Mi, Riena.."

He says very softly but as soon as shreya hears his voice she feels more intimidating so she bows her face and shakes her head lightly.

Her mother came towards him and whispered in his ear.

"Just stop kunwar sa or else if she shyly runs away from here then your engagement will be incomplete."

He gives a tight lipped smile and intertwined his hands with her possessively.

"We should not delay the engagement , we ahould get them both engaged immediately, as auspicious time is fixed." His dadu said.

Everyone immediately prepares for the ring exchange and reaches the stage with the rings.

Viaansh extenda his hand to her and she lifts her eyes and looks at his eyes set on her.

Shreya extends her hand to grab viaansh's hand.

Viaansh picks up a ring box from the plate kiara is holding and immediately sits down on his knees in front of her. The whole hall reverberates with the thunder of applause .

He slid the ring in her finger and put his warm lips on her knuckles.

Shreya looks towards him and gently slid the ring in his finger.

After them rakshit and diya did the same.

Pandit ji (priest) started chanting mantras.Vijay and nidhi came forward and give viaansh coconut and a rupee and did his tilak (apply vermillion between the eyebrows) and some rice on tilak.

He touched her parent's feet. After them, everyone does the same ritual with him.

Abhishek and nandini came forward and put red chunni (scarf) on shreya's head and do same ritual as everyone performed with viaansh. She touch their feets.

Everyone is claping and hooting after they exchanged the rings."Bhayi, bhabhi... smile Please."

They both looked to aakriti and she took their photo in her phone.

They had lunch and everyone settled to have some talk with each other.

Nandini and Aakriti are talking to shreya and diya. Abhishek and mr. aggarwal was talking to eachother and aarav talking with Viaansh and Rakshit.

In between talking, both were stealing glance from each other and whenever their  gaze met, she turned into pink shade and his lips curl into a beautiful smile.

When his skin touch mine, I felt a spark all over my body.

My heart beat start increasing.His hand was warm and felt rough against my soft one.

He slowly slide the ring in my ring finger.

After that Avni di give me a ring.I hold his hand firmly in my hand and felt the same spark.

'this man will be a death of me' I slowly slide the ring in his ring finger.

Their rings

It's evening, clock reads 8 p.m. Everyone prepare for leaving but viaansh is nowhere to be seen.

I wish I can see him last time before leaving.I touch his parents feet.

When I was standing behind of everyone smiling at their talks suddenly dhruv take my hand and pull me towards upstairs."Arre dhruv chodo...kya ker rhe ho. (what are you doing dhruv)."

I said to him but he doesn't listen to me.When we reached to the terrace, I saw Viaansh was standing beside the railing looking outside.His back is facing me.

Dhruv run toward Viaansh and pat his leg. He turn to him and leaned to his level.

He gave him chocolates. Dhruv kissed Viaansh on his both cheeks and said " thankyou mausaji" and leave immediately after taking chocolates from him.

I walked to him slowly. My anklets are tickling when I was walking and I know he is looking my every step.

When I reached to him I stood in front of him lowering my head.We both silently stood there. He is looking at me.

I can feel it because his gaze give a different sensation to my body. He take a step towards me and started leaning in.

I closed my eyes due to this closeness, I don't know what he is doing but he is making my heart go crazier.

I can feel his hot breath on my cheeks. He leaned more and I feel his wet lips on my right cheek.

When his lips touched to my skin. My stomach churned and I feet the butterflies in my stomach.

My lips parted and I hold my other hand tightly due to the sensation. This is the first time when a boy kissed me on my cheeks.

His lips lingered there more than a second and then he pulled back.After kissing on my cheek he whispered " come soon Mi Reina, i can't wait anymore."

he left immediately without looking at me.

I turned into tomato shade, even tomatoes colour might be look lighter than my red cheeks.

A smile crept on my face and I touch my cheeks taking my lower lip between my upper teeth to control my smile.

After Viaansh leave, I also leave from there.When I came to downstairs everyone is now on the driveway and ready to sit inside the car.

No one noticed about our absence. They all are busy in their own talks and continue cracking joks. Viaansh is sitting inside the car, on the passenger seat.

His one hand's elbow is resting on the car open window and his forefinger is curling on his lips.

His biceps are popping out showing his work in gym.He adjust the side view mirror of the car and our gaze met once again through the mirror.

"Bhabhi.see you soon actually very soon."Aakriti said while hugging me.

I hugged her back and chuckled softly.

I turned and lowered my head and tuck a strand of hair behind my ear.I touch everyone's feet again.

Nandini Maa and abhishek dad give blessings to me and caressed my head lovingly.

"Come home soon beta..Abhishek dad said and caressed my head lovingly.

"My son is lucky to have you." Nandini maa said while caressing my head.

I looked at viaansh at the corner of my eyes and he have a small smile on his face.After bidding the goodbye, they set in the car. Aakriti waved her hand to me and everyone.

I waved her back.My eyes fell on viaansh and his eyes are focusing on me through the rearview mirror.
