Chapter 34: Care

Kismat

Meera gazed at her husband's bare back, with sweats hanging loosely on his hips, as he works his way around the room, picking up their clothes from last night. Meera wanted to help him out, but he made her wear his buttoned shirt on her and made her a cup of chai and a fruit salad while he cleaned up.

Their flight was in a few hours, so they had to leave soon. But Shourya wanted to give as much time as possible to Meera to relax and calm her soreness. Unfortunately, they didn't have enough time for a relaxing bath, so they had to make do with what they could.

"Meera jaan, our bags are all packed, are you sure there isn't anything you've left outside?"

"No, you put everything away. Thank you."

Shourya smiles as he pulls out their outfits for the flight before pulling their luggage out of the walk-in robe.

Shourya comes closer to the smiling Meera and takes the empty cup and bowl from her hand, and puts it on the food trolley, before picking up his wife.

"A-aare, Shourya kya kr rahe hain aap?"

(H-hey, what are you doing?)

"Hume ready hona hai na? Toh chalo."

(We need to get ready right? so let's go.)

Meera blushes before trying to wriggle out of his hold, "H-haan toh pehle aap jayie. Phir mein chali jaoongi."

(Y-yes, so you go first. Then I'll go.)

"Hilna band kro janam. Aur time bohot kam hai na. Toh saath mein shower le lenge."

(Stop moving. And we don't have much time. So we'll just shower together.)

Meera glares at her husband before hugging him closer. "Aap bohot bure hain."

(You are very bad.)

Meera blushes as Shourya takes off his sweats and helps Meera out of his shirt. Shourya smirks at the sight before, setting the water temperature of the shower and guiding Meera in. She hasn't looked away from the floor yet, and she just leans against the shower glass waiting for her husband to say something.

But he doesn't, he gazes at with love and admiration as he showers himself. He would have asked for her help, but he knows last night took a lot out of her, so she needs his care. Not to mention the constant blushing, he was scared her cheeks would light on fire with her blushing.

Once Shourya was done cleaning himself, he reached out to hold Meera's hand, which caused her to shyly peek up at him.

"Come here so I can shower you."

Meera almost melted at the intensity of his voice, "M-mein kudh kr sakti hun."

(I-I can do it myself.)

"I know, pr shaadi ke time wada kiya tha ki tumhara hamesha khayal rakhunga. Mujhe aapna wada pura krne do."

(I know, but I vowed to take care of you when we got married. Let me keep my vows.)

Meera shuffled close to him as he lathered the loofah with the body wash before beginning to clean off her body. He didn't miss a spot as he worked around her, occasionally leaving sweet kisses on her head. It was like he was studying her all over again, making sure the angel he held in his arms last night was actually this mesmerising. And he realised that she was truly the same, it wasn't a dream.

Not long after, he was lathering her head with shampoo and massaging her hair gently. Meera moaned at the sensations and leaned back on his chest with her eyes closed.

"Aacha lag raha hai na?"

(You're liking it right?)

"Hmmmm."

After their shower, Shourya even dressed her, dried her hair with the towel and then even blow-dried it. Meera wanted to do it herself, but she was fighting a lost battle.

Shourya held Meera close to him as they boarded the flight, he secured her seat belt, before kissing her and securing his own. They spent their flight flirting and teasing each other, more like Shourya flirting and teasing and Meera looking around to make sure no one was listening.

During some turbulence, Meera winced when her soreness resurfaced.

"You okay, baby? Dard ho raha hai kya?"

(Does it hurt?)

Meer nods her head, needy for comfort and Shourya takes oh their seat belts, and pulls Meera onto his lap, securing her in place. He rubs her back, whispers sweet nothings and holds her close for the majority of the flight. He points things out the window to distract her and even feeds her with his own hands.

Meera sighs at her amazing husband as they cuddled closer on the spacious seat. "Shourya, hum jaldi hi wapis aaynge. France kitna payara hai na?"

(We'll come back soon, France was amazing right?)

"Bolo toh tha na tumhe, ki aapne baachon ke saath aaynege." Shourya teases expecting her to hide away in his chest.

(I told you we'll come back with our kids.)

But instead, she leans down, pecks his lips and begins to fiddle with the button on his shirt. "Aapko kitne baache chahiye?"

(How many kids do you want?)

Shourya gawks at his wife's blunt question, never expecting her to ask. When Meera doesn't get an answer she looks up at him, she giggles at his open mouth before pushing his chin up to close it.

"Boliye na. Kitne chaahiye?"

(Tell me. How many?)

Shourya pinches her cheeks and says, "yeh mujhse tum puch rahi ho?"

(You are asking me this?)

Meera looks up at her husband with a cheeky smie, "Haan, mein nahi puchun gi toh aur kon puchega?"

(Yes, if I won't ask then who will be asking?)

This earns her a laugh from her husband and he puts a finger on his chin, thinking about an answer.

"Hmmmmm, kam se se chaar."

(At least four)

Meera sits up straight and gulps at her husband's answer, "Chaar! Mujhse nahi hoga. Pata hai kita pain hota hai pregnanacy aur birth ke time pr?"

(Four! I can't do that. Do you know how hard a pregnancy is and giving birth?)

"Toh tum bolo, kitne?"

(Then you say, how many?)

"Do kaafi hai."

(Two are enough.)

Meera asserts and Shourya fake gasps, "Tumne toh siddha 50% hi cut kr diya."

(You just cut by 50%)

The couple continues their banter until Meera falls asleep on his chest.

The Rao's and Singhania's were gathered that the Singhanaia mansion waiting for the arrival of the couple returning from their honeymoon. The families had decided to join for dinner the day they arrive and then the Rao's were going to stay the night.

They were playing dumb charades in the living room when the door opened to reveal two suitcases being carried and the couple following closely behind.

Everyone was present, even Reema and Rohan. When Shourya and Meera were away, Aarav and Riya took it upon themselves to keep Rohan company and make sure he isn't spending too long working or thinking about his divorce.

"Awwww, mere baache aa gaye! Haye, Meera ke bina toh ghar bilkul hin soona soona lagta hai."

(Awwwww, my kids are back! Oh, this house was so lonely without Meera.)

Meera hugged her mother-in-law really tight before going around to greet everyone. Her smile grew wider when she saw her family over, and suddenly the couple we bombarded with questions and demands. It was not until Neel quietened everyone and ushered them to the dining room did everyone calm down.

After dinner, everyone called it a night and went back to their respective rooms, but not before getting Meera and Shourya to promise to give all the details the next day.
