Chapter 41: Together Forever

Topping the Enemy (Werewolf Story)

Harry

I know, right? Who knew I had it in me?

Oh right, I did. I always knew it.

Sex was never a problem for us. I knew we'd be great at it. It's all the other things that complicate our lives.

Even though I was a little afraid to bottom for my mate, I was confident about topping him. I just didn't know whether or not he'd like it.

But he freaking loved it.

Landon's body was trembling after he reached the climax. I knew I came with guns blazing on him during our love making, but I wanted to impress him. And I am pretty sure I succeeded.

"You completely ravished me. I am in awe of you." He said, enamored by me.

Landon turned around in bed and leaned in to kiss me. I welcomed his loving kiss.

"Thanks, mate. After what you did yesterday, I knew I had to bring my 'A game'." I snickered, once we parted our lips.

"I think we both turned out to be versatile after all. Because though I loved topping you, I need that to happen again." He said in a humorous tone.

"I agree. Now let's take a shower. I think I am hungry." I said, feeling my stomach complain.

We got up from the bed, I disposed of the condom and went to the bathroom. We took a nice shower to get ourselves cleaned up, but the whole time I kept admiring Landon's physique. I am so in awe of how hot he is.

"If you keep looking at me this way, our shower is gonna turn into something else entirely." He snickered, catching me off guard as I stared at him transfixed.

"Oh, I want that. But I need some food first. We need sustenance before we continue our love session." I said with a mischievous grin.

"Thank Goddess I brought food already prepared, we only need to reheat it." He commented, feeling content about his decision.

"Smart move, Alpha." I winked at him.

After we had dried ourselves, we put on our shorts and went to the kitchen. Landon opened the refrigerator and collected the food while I washed some pots for us to use.

We had a nice lunch and the whole time we kept looking at each other with impure thoughts. After we finished, we did the dishes and walked back to the bedroom to rest for a bit on the bed.

"I know it's cliché, but I feel so connected to you. I already felt before I even accepted you, but now it seems like I can really sense what you're feeling." I told him as we lay together.

"Yeah, I feel exactly the same. I feel so in sync with you right now. Even when you're hungry, I could sense that. It's amazing!" He grinned at me, ecstatic.

I kissed him and we enjoyed each other's company for a while. I wanted more love, but I am pretty sure we are not supposed to do anything on a full stomach.

Our Saturday was spent between repeating what happened Friday night and what I did to him this morning. We couldn't get enough of each other.

I know I haven't been with anyone else since I returned from college, but it seems like all my pent-up horniness flourished now that I am marked. We went to sleep almost at dawn making love.

On Sunday, we woke up hungry and once again teamed up to prepare breakfast. I was really glad Landon thought this through and brought enough food for the weekend. Honestly, I couldn't live without my cup of coffee.

I even have a coffee maker in my college dorm. I bought one when I moved to Houston to attend Rice. I can't believe I am so close to returning. Now that I am properly mated, I kind of wish I had more time with Landon.

I guess the lesson is to make the most of the time you have.

After a rather exhausting love session in the afternoon - I finally understood the expression 'afternoon delight' - Landon and I returned to the pack house in time for dinner with the Barnetts.

We entered the pack house together and as soon as the warriors on duty saw us - a minimum of two warriors guard the pack house 24/7 - they bowed their heads and said:

"Long Live the Alpha and Luna!"

Landon opened the widest smile at hearing these words. I know he feels fulfilled. I can literally feel the pride irradiating from his body right now. You can't help but get infected by his joy.

We continued walking inside and put our luggage in our bedroom before making our way to the dining room. Once we entered, the maid also bowed her head to him.

Luna Felicia got up from her seat to hug her son and she also hugged me. She looked ecstatic for him, for us.

"Long Live the Alpha and Luna!" She chanted, also bowing her head.

Clark congratulated us as well. Ella is too young to know what we did - she is only 9 years old - but she seemed happy to see her brother again. She is so adorable.

"Guess I don't need to be Alpha now, which is good because I want to go to college." Clark said in a playful tone.

"You deserve to experience college, brother. And I hope you get accepted to wherever you want to go." Landon said as we got settled by the large table.

"Yeah, Clark. Maybe you can go to UT like your brother." Felicia suggested in a good mood.

"I wanna go to Columbia." He announced and his mother gasped in shock.

"In New York? Why so far?" She frowned at the news.

"Because I wanna make my own mark in this world, regardless of this pack. I wanna know different people, places." He replied, sounding enthusiastic.

"Sure, but what if your mate goes to a different college not in New York?" Felicia challenged him.

"That's why I am gonna apply everywhere. I am not stupid, but I hope she wants to follow in my footsteps." He said with a hopeful tone.

"Sure. Or she has her own hopes and dreams. And maybe YOU can follow in her footsteps." His mother stated, raising an eyebrow.

We all looked at each other mildly uncomfortable. Good one, Luna.

"Like I said, I'll apply everywhere. But Gail wants to go to New York too." He said, boastfully. Gail is his girlfriend.

No matter how many times our parents tell us NOT to date while in high school, teenagers are terrible at listening to advice. I know, right?

"IF she turns out to be your mate, then great." Felicia said with a disapproving frown. I don't think she is very hopeful for this particular pairing.

"Best of luck to you, brother. I hope you get a scholarship." Landon winked at him.

"Isn't mom rich now that dad died? Why would I need a scholarship to attend college?" He frowned in confusion.

"No one is rich, Clark!" She raised her voice, glaring at her son. "But you don't have to worry about money. Concentrate on getting approved and the rest I'll take care of." She said, sternly.

Dinner with the Barnetts is always eventful.

After I brushed my teeth, I walked to the guest wing and knocked on Spencer's door. Now that I am marked, I don't need to fear his heat anymore. There is zero chance of me behaving improperly with him.

Which is not to say his heat is not gonna make me extra horny. But I don't need any help in that department.

"Congratulations!" He smiled wide at me as soon as he opened the door. He didn't need to see my mate mark, werewolves can scent a fresh mark half a mile away.

Spencer made way for me to enter his room, which I did. He closed the door behind me and I sat on the bed with him, though far enough so we didn't touch each other. Just a precaution.

"Thanks, my friend. It's been a long time coming." I said, radiantly happy.

"So how was the Alpha dick?" He asked me with a naughty grin like I knew he would.

Without going too much into detail, I told him about my weekend with my mate. He relished in my long awaited tale of bond completion. Since he is on lockdown, he is without any contact with Ares except for texting and calling.

I told him to hold on. This too shall pass and soon enough they'll be together again. After I left his room, I returned to mine to sleep by my mate's side.

We had such a great time this weekend. I know without a shadow of a doubt, that in his arms is where I want to be.

Landon

I woke up after a great night of sleep.

After spending the whole weekend fucking like bunnies, Harry and I collapsed on each other last night. We barely exchanged a good night kiss and that's it.

Now it's Monday and I feel like now is the real start of my life. My journey as the true Alpha begins and I couldn't possibly be more excited for it, honestly.

Harry was sleeping so peacefully that I wanted to leave him like that, but I knew he'd hate missing breakfast. Unfortunately, living in the pack house means we have to respect the meal schedule. But he is already used to this since he grew up as the son of the Alpha.

"Good morning, my love. Sorry to wake you up so early, but the cooking staff waits for no one." I said in a playful tone as he lazily yawned.

"Good morning, mate. You're Alpha now. You can command them to wait for us." He suggested in a humorous tone.

"Sure, but I have to work. It'd be disrespectful to my pack if their Alpha don't show up to do the job they pay me to." I explained with a loving gaze.

"I know, mate. I was joking. I am used to waking up early, it's fine. Plus, I can go back to sleep if I want, after breakfast." He said, getting up to a sitting position on the bed.

"That's the spirit!" I snickered, then got up to go to the bathroom.

After we had breakfast, I went to my office where a very joyous pregnant woman bowed her head to me.

"Long Live the Alpha!" - Lourdes chanted, smiling at me. - "Your father would be very proud of you."

"Thanks, Lourdes. You're the best. How is the baby? Is it kicking yet?" I asked her, glancing at her timid belly.

"It's too early, Alpha. Maybe in a month or two." She said, laughing at my question.

"I am sure Kyle must be ecstatic about it." I said, referencing her mate.

"He is pampering me every chance he gets, which is nice. I understand there's an Omega in heat sequestered in the guest wing. Harrison's friend. Do you think it'd be weird if I visited him?" She inquired, empathizing with a fellow Omega.

"No, I don't think it'd be weird. I think he'd welcome the visit." I replied, pensive.

"Good. I'll stop by his room once you go to your training session." She said in a chipper tone.

Right. My mandatory training session with Delta Saunders. As Alpha, I am required to stay in fighting shape, so I have two scheduled training sessions per week. I can train more if I want to. The center is always open, but I have to maintain a minimum of two sessions per week. Mondays and Thursdays.

It's fine by me. I've been training all my life and now it's mostly muscle memory at this point. Though if I catch Saunders on a bad day, he throws a curveball at me.

Later in the morning, I walked inside the training center to receive a round of applause from all the warriors present. It's weird that every single person knows I've completed the bond even before they see my mate mark.

But that's werewolf life for you. We are deeply oriented by our sense of smell.

"Long Live the Alpha!" They chanted, bowing their heads to me.

"Congratulations, Alpha!" Ares greeted me, bowing his head as well.

"Thanks, my friend. How are you doing?" I replied in a worried tone. I know he hates this time away from Spencer, which I can totally relate to.

"Now that the shame is gone, I am missing him like crazy!" He replied, lowering his head sorrowfully.

"First of all, you have nothing to be ashamed of. Second, hang in there. In a few days, he's gonna be all yours again." I encouraged him with a smile.

Ares hugged me all of a sudden and I could feel he was taking the separation hard. The first month, since you discover your mate, is when you feel the pull of the mate bond the strongest.

"Ares, leave the Alpha alone. He came here to train, not to cuddle you." His father interjected, causing us both to feel awkward. We parted from the hug.

"Yes, Delta." Ares glared at him, embarrassed.

Damn! And I thought my father was demanding... Goddess rests his soul.

"Good morning, Delta." I greeted him, walking to another side of the ample space.

"Good morning, Alpha." He replied in a dry tone.

"Is everything alright?" I asked the brooding warrior.

"Logan is retiring the day after tomorrow." He informed me, clearly bothered. Logan is his right hand man, the Under Delta of the pack.

"And who's replacing him?" I questioned him, curiously.

Though this is my pack, any warrior related issues are resolved by Beta Carillon, the protector of the pack. That means technically I don't have to approve any promotion, as it's beneath my pay grade.

"Everyone, gather round." He raised his tone in a loud commanding voice. He stood by my side as all the warriors present approached us promptly. Of course, not all warriors are here right now. There are patrols taking place around the clock on our border and some are on their day off.

"As you all know, Under Delta Logan is turning 50 on Wednesday. That means mandatory retirement. I talked it over with Beta Carillon and we decided that Henderson is taking his place as the next Under Delta of our pack." He announced, surprising most people. Not Mr. Henderson, who already knew that. But his daughter Rhiannon certainly is gobsmacked by the surprise.

The warriors all applaud him, he receives congratulatory handshakes from everyone.

"Congratulations, dad!" - Rhiannon cheered him on. - "I am so happy for you! You deserve it!" She hugged him tightly.

"Thanks, daughter. It's kind of Delta Saunders and Beta Carillon to consider me with all the qualified team leaders available." He said, humbly. A team leader is one promotion ahead of a warrior, the person in charge of all the patrols. Each patrol takes up 9 warriors and 1 team leader.

"Kindness has nothing to do with it, Henderson. You are the most qualified candidate for the position." Saunders stated in his usual serious tone.

"Thank you, sir." Mr. Henderson politely thanked him.

"That means there'll be a team leader position available." Ares interjected, eyes glistening in hope.

"Yeah, for people with 10 years on the job. Not for cubs." Delta shot back and even I gulped from the second hand embarrassment.

"I am sure whoever it is, they're gonna do great." I said, trying to defuse the awkward vibe.

"Delta, the training must start now or Alpha Barnett is going to be late for lunch." Beta Carillon instructed the brooding man and he began my training.

The people dispersed and I was forced to face several wolf form warriors today. Saunders was in a foul mood and he put me through the ringer.

But nothing could derail my day. No amount of bite threats would cause my smile to cease. Nothing on Earth could remove the radiant grin from my face.

I am mated. I am bonded. I am marked. I am ecstatically happy because I am Alpha.

Harrison Staedler now belongs with me. Together forever.

A|N: In all my 8 books so far, I am used to facing each chapter and creating as I go along. I don't plan ahead. I know some of the characters' journeys but mostly 99% of what happens I think of it on the fly.

I take the story where it goes.

But this time I'm sitting on the bomb of who shot Landon and I'm breaking into hives anxious to reveal it.

I've never written a mystery like this before, so it's a new sensation for me. But unfortunately I can't reveal it just yet. Some things need to happen before that can be disclosed.

Anxiety is a bitch! LOL

Next chapter comes with a surprise.

Love,

Léo.
