CHAPTER 4

I’m here at the living room laying at the sofa watching spongebob together with Jade and shadow but I don’t give any attention to it, I’m still sleepy considering I didn’t have enough sleep to what has happened last night.

Yet I can’t sleep again cause shadow keep on playing with me even though I don’t want to play with him, he always jumps on my tummy and barking loudly that it really hurts my ears, Ugh. he’s so full on energy this early in the morning.

Its eight am, for me its early cause I always wake up in the afternoon in the weekend or when there’s no classes that’s why I started to stand up, I can’t stand shadow being too playful, both my sis and him would really get along well they’re both so hyper.

I get up to go to the bathroom to brush my teeth and to take a bath to totally wake my senses up.

But shadow followed me and I leave him in my bedroom and closing the door in the bathroom door for him not to follow me inside.

I finished cleansing my body and saw shadow in the bottom of the bed looking for something.

I called him and he look up at me and bark. I came down to see what he was looking or what to have and saw a ball, this was the ball that I played when we came to this house when I was younger.

I pick it up and shadow bark at me while waging its tail, guessing what he really what to do and I toss it across the bed and he run and bite it, bringing it to me, I smiled and rub his head, he’s such a playful pup.

When I came down together with shadow, I saw my grandparents and Jade having breakfast.

I join them to have my meal and I give shadow his milk, guess its what he wants since his still a pup.

I yawn. "so Gab. Didn’t you have enough sleep last night?" grandpa ask

"a little, I just wake up at the middle of the night, but I’m good, don’t worry grandpa" I said, he nod and continue finishing his meal.

"ok, so Gab, Jade. We’ll leave in mid afternoon for the festival, I’m sure you will enjoy it, there’ll be lots of things that are unique there like foods and stuff and lots of people so don’t be far away and stay near to both me and your grandpa ok?"

"can we bring shadow grandma?" Jade ask "sure hunny but be responsible when you bring him" she nods and came towards shadow and started talking to shadow what she wants to see on the festival.

I just smiled to both of them and I’ll too will enjoy the festival, but how can I enjoy it without my two bestfriends?

Oh.. whatever.. maybe they’re really enjoying themselves right now too.

I better just didn’t think about it and just go with it maybe there will be something interesting in there.

Jade, shadow and I played during the ride, I always rub his ear and head, I think he likes it when I do it and Jade just cuddle him like he’s a stuff animal and I feel sorry for shadow when Jade do that to shadow, seeing him straggled to take himself out of Jade’s grip and grandma and grandpa looks at us by the rear view mirror and smiled to us saying that we really are kids and that includes me? Me? Do I look like one?

I pout, “I’m not a kid anymore” but he and grandma just laugh on what I said. Ow..whatever.

Late afternoon and we finally came to the festival, pack with so many people, I didn’t think that many people lived in this area, cause I’ve just seen houses that were scattered around or maybe its just me that never seen those houses before.

Well I didn’t really care I can’t go far away from our house since they told me not to wander alone and specially at night, well I better ask my grandma later about that.

We hardly find a better parking lot but luckily we’ve seen one.

We got out of the car and then I fell that there was someone looking out on me, I look back, and to my side but nothing, just empty cars and trees.

I ignored it cause Jade’s been calling me holding shadow in her arms so I just walk to them and into the festival together.

Finally we came to the festival, its so lively and lots of people and music everywhere.

Amazing stores that sell items that were really unique and food stalls that have different kinds of snacks, my grandparents held Jade into their arms while shadow was stick with me. I don’t leash him since he always follows me or me holding him. I just held him into my arms in our walk, he just cuddle and pretty much looking everywhere.

During our walk on shops when grandma find something that interest her she takes long time examining things like this teacup set and I got bored and ask "can I go to the other shops for a moment? I just saw something that I want to buy for mom and dad"

My grandparents look at me and saw hesitation.

"but we can buy it after where done here Gab" so I said instantly "I’ll be back quickly I promise and even if I took a while I have my phone so you can call me and I know the parking lot or even when we don’t see each other here ill just meet you there, don’t worry grandma ill be fine" I said

"but its full of people here and you might get lost" grandma said

"grandma, I’m not a kid anymore, if I don’t know the way in the parking lot I can just ask somebody to instruct me on how to go there."

“I don’t know gab-" I suddenly interrupt grandpa

“please I’ll be ok and ill bring shadow with me, right shadow?” he bark and I smiled cause he agrees with me.

Grandpa sighed "ok but be back here if I called you ok? We’ll meet here after.”

I nod and grandma kiss my cheek, I smiled again and said to Jade to be good to our grandparents and ill buy her a gift too when I get back, I walk outside and wave to them.

I just walk everywhere looking every shop for something to buy for my family and for my grandparents when I came to a shop were they sell jewelries and found a rosary.

It’s very nice on how the design of it, I bought 2 different styles for my mom and grandma being a catholic family and I guess they’ll love this.

I keep looking again every shops that I’ve passed looking for a gift for my grandpa and dad when I saw a chessboard with crystal like chess pieces,  its not that bulky so I bought it considering grandpa always like board games.

Two more for Jade and dad, then I saw this shop with lots of stuff animals and saw a puppy like stuff toy that resembles shadow but its totally black I smiled on it remembering how Jade like to cuddle shadow so I bought it and look at shadow for Jade not to cuddle him helplessly anymore.

Exiting the store I saw a food stall and ordered a drink and a burger, I tore it in half and give it to shadow, he eat it and bark again to me looking at my two bite burger, I give it to him since I’m not really that hungry, gees this dog eat a lot sometimes or maybe he likes the burger.

So I just drink on my juice then again shadow look at me guessing I know what he wanted, I bent down and give him the rest of it, after he finished we continued walking and continued looking for gifts.

Upon looking something for dad I came on a shop where I saw a keychain of a black wolf, a wolf exactly what I saw last night, a wolf as dark as the night, it stand tall and proud on its designed is very detailed like its alive, I grab it, gentle rubbing its wooden body when I hear someone cough beside me, I look on my right and saw a gorgeous handsome guy, like he’s a model I’ve seen on a magazine.

“woah, a god is in front of me” my mind said.

The god, I mean guy had  jet black hair, black hazel eyes a fully sculptured face and a body that belong to a god, his wearing a body fit white v-neck shirt, jeans and converse shoes.

I keep on admiring him when shadow bark and brings me back to reality, I guess he noticed me checking him out, I blushed thinking how I looked like a freak to him, he just smiled and I saw his perfect teeth and lips, again I keep on looking at him when he cough again and I cant help but blush even harder.

What is happening to me all of a sudden? I shouldn’t be doing that and not looking like a freak anymore, then he laugh and it came to me that this guy is making fun of me.

Is he doing this to me? On purpose? and my blush faded and replace my face red with anger and annoyance and I started to go outside when he grab my arm and feel like an electricity hit me instantly on the part were he touch me.

"hey wait, I’m sorry if I laugh, I’m just amazed on how you look at my work and blush like that, its the first time that I saw a boy blush in front of me" he said in a very masculine voice.

Wahh.. even his voice was so handsome.

"s-so, w-what if a-a guy b-blush? I’m just shock to see you that close to m-me and I didn’t know t-that its your work, I just found its i-interesting and v-very g-good” I stuttered saying hastily, he just again laugh, does this guy totally what’s to annoy me to the max?

And that’s how I begun walking again and again he grab my arm and feel that shock again.

"Wait, I’m sorry again maybe your annoyed already” he said

“Isn’t it obvious?” I interrupted him grabbing my arm away.

“but its just that you just look cute when you blush" and that people when I cant help blushing again, this time its to the highest level, it’s the very first time that I’ve been complimented with someone, not just anyone but this god-like guy here.

OMG, I’m feeling like a girl right now and I don’t know how to handle this situation, and he just smiled contented on what he saw to me, I just cant help it when he said that, like my body is responding on him, on what his saying.

So I just bowed my head not looking at him anymore to be able to compose myself more.

"so what do you think of that keychain?" he ask

"I-I  think i-its good, it has good shape on it and very detailed, I like how its fur wave on every carved of it."

Without looking at the wolf keychain he nod and gave me the keychain.

"huh? What are you doing? I don’t have enough more money to buy this and I need to buy a gift for my father" I said cause I really don’t have enough money left.

He just smiled "its ok, I’ll give this one to you" he said and before I could refuse his offer him, he walk to the counter and said something to the cashier.

He walk back, handing it to me, while smiling "here, its for you, I’m Bane by the way."

bringing his arm out for me to shake, I just look at it and he grab my arm again and shake it.

Stun of what he did, I automatically said "I’m Gab" looking at our lock arms and he let go and look down where shadow was, he rub his head smiling on him.

"what did you named him?" he ask, how does he known shadow was a male pup?

"shadow, we called him shadow" I said looking at shadow, who’s wagging his tail and yipping excitedly on Bane.

He stood up and goes out of the shop and before he went away he looked and wink at me, wave a hand and smiled at me.

He walk away before I comprehend on what has happen.

I cant understand why I’m blushing and smiling while looking at my hand still feeling his hands on it and his smile then I heard a bark and saw shadow on the floor wagging its tail “your always ruining my moment you know that shadow?”

I pouted, he was about to run outside when I took him. Ugh, I guess he wants to follow Bane judging by how his looking on the direction where he left, so I just carry him together with the stuff I bought, oh well its not that heavy anyways, then it hit me, I didn’t thanked him.

Holding my things carefully I run outside thinking I could find him easily but failed to, as many people were walking everywhere I look, and that’s when I left there and started looking a gift for dad and I saw a black and red necktie.

The pattern is so cool that its looking amazingly, finally finishing my task, I pick my phone to call grandpa when someone suddenly grab it and snatch it away from me.

I followed him and he came into a narrow pathway in the back of the festival grounds.

When we came mid way I saw the guy who snatched my phone I put shadow down.

"a brave one are we?" he said

"shut up! And give me back my phone or ill beat your ass" I said, he laugh evilly and I was shock to see two more goon like men on my back, blocking my way out.

"what are you going to do brat?" he grinned and shadow take a stands in front of me trying to protect me showing his teeth to them and standing like his ready to fight back, the three men started laughing evilly again.

"so scary, do we need to get scared with a pup like that?" the scary one said behind me and saw that they are starting to come launching together to beat me and shadow up.

I closed my eyes preparing myself on the attack when I heard a loud thud and punching everywhere.

When I open my eyes I instantly saw the guy who stole my phone fall on the ground, flat, unconscious.

Looking at my back I saw the two men also on the floor unconscious also, like what happen?

And I saw Bane, he smiled and came closer to me. "you have a small knight in shining there as I’ve seen” gesturing for shadow.

I smiled and pats his head "yeah, he’s totally a good pet to me, since I have him a couple of days before, I just found him outside my grandparents house.”

"oh, ok. I guess your happy to have him?"

"very" then Bane looked at him. Proud was what I saw on his eyes on what shadow have done to protect me and patted the pup’s head.

"Why are you here?" I ask, then he look at me

"I just came by this side of the festival looking around."

I’m not convinced at what he have said so I eyed him suspiciously cause there are a few shops here and just a few other people, his taken aback and look guiltily.

"Are you following me?" I asked

"no! I just really came along here and heard people arguing and someone laughing, I got a little curious and saw you getting into trouble" he said while rubbing shadows head still amazed on my pup and shadow seems to really like him too.

Then he spoke getting up "you should go back to your grandparents and sister."

What? How did he know that I came together with them? I frown and eyed him again, he smiled and patted my head.

He walk away and wave before leaving and eyed shadow briefly, shadow bark at him excitedly and he went on his way.

I called my grandpa saying that I will meet them on the parking lot, so I walk all the way to the parking lot together with shadow trailing on my back.

The drive home was totally tiring, I feel like I want to sleep already having to do stuff like buying gifts and having trouble in the alley and saved by a gorgeous guy I think dreamily then a finger snap at my face and Jade withdraw her finger.

"were here gab, your not listening when I called you"

"sorry, I’m just tired." I look at my side and saw shadow curled in a ball sleeping already.

I pick him up and he cuddle in me, Jade, following me inside the house and I put shadow on the bed.

"your treating him like a baby" said Jade.

What? It’s not bad right? cause he’s small and cute and I like treating him like a one.

"yeah, cause his one and you too" I laugh, then she pout, really like a baby.

So I pinch her cheek and we heard grandma telling us about dinner, we just brought food on the festival considering its already late and I haven’t eaten anything after I bought food for me and shadow while buying gifts.

We chat on the table about how great the festival really is.

Jade said she saw kinds of rides and having to ride one, she also seen colorful balloons, candies and eats different kinds of food, so she haven’t eaten mostly on dinner, she really is a kid

So when I gave her the stuff toy, she thank me saying how she loved it and cuddle it, I’m glad she love it and my grandparents thank me also on the things that I buy for them.

Especially grandma, she was amazed on the rosary that I gave her so after dinner, I go upstairs clean myself and before I go to sleep I check my phone thinking Anna and Tina texted or called me.

None. Ugh.. they are truly enjoying the summer having been busy on things that they want to do and while I did nothing, but well, I enjoyed the festival now but what would I do next on this house?

I don’t have friends here and I cant go outside wandering around, I signed and just lay there together with shadow and looking at the keychain that Bane given me.

I smiled while thinking about him and what I’ve felt when I saw him and if I would be able to see him again.

And after some thinking more about Bane I began to fully felt myself going to sleep, having been walking all day and getting trouble the exhaustion is hitting me and before I know it I’ve fallen asleep.

ill try posting chapter 5 tomorrow,  im having some real problem about the characters..but maybe able to finish it tomorrow..^^..
