11| his confession

On the way back to his parent's place, he was confused by his emotions.

Kane thought that going to his parent's place to  talk to them will help him.

If not, he probably won't be able to sleep tonight.

Plus, he was meeting Romeo for lunch. Don't want to oversleep.

Kane didn't exactly tell them he was coming to stay for night.

So when he arrived at his parent's place, they both were shocked to see him.

They knew he was going out to meet Leah but didn't expect him to be here.

"Hi Kane. How was it?" Audrey asked, giving him a big hug.

"It was alright" He replied.

Matthew watched from the side and observed Kane. Something was bothering him.

He could tell. Knowing Kane would likely want to talk to Audrey alone, he left them alone back to room.

Kane was glad his father left willingly. He would have felt bad if Kane asked his father to leave.

"Mom I need your opinion" Kane said as he sunk into the couch.

"Was the date not successful? Did you do something wrong? Is-" Audrey was blabbering away, not giving a change for him to speak.

"Mom" Kane cut her off. "Firstly, it's not a date and second, it's neither of those" He said.

"My feelings are a mess. I don't know what to do" Kane shared.

"Every time I'm near her I feel butterflies, heck it, a whole zoo. I'm so confused" Kane explained.

"Kane, do you feel happy when you are with her?" Audrey conducted her investigation.

"Yes"

"Than can you see yourself with her?"

"Yes"

"How about getting to know her?"

"Yes"

"Kane, I think you like her, maybe even love. But that's for you to figure out" Audrey said.

"Really?" Kane was shocked. "Then what should I do?"

"Confess your feelings. I see the way she looks at you. She's probably just as confused as you.

But be careful. Leah is quite an angel. Please don't hurt her feelings. I can tell she has been through a lot" Audrey suggested.

"Okay. Thanks mum. I got to sleep now. I'm meeting Romeo tomorrow" Kane said.

"Okay, bring Romeo for dinner!! And get both Xavier and Gwen too" Audrey reminded.

"Okay!!" Kane agreed as he retreated back to his room.

He was feeling tired so he washed up quickly and dived into bed, falling into a deep sleep.

The next day, he woke feeling pretty refreshed. However seeing it was a Saturday and still early, 8.17am, he decided to laze around.

Having spent almost two hours lazying in bed, he finally got up and got ready.

Choosing a simple white top and pants with a jacket, he put it on and exited the room.

Just in case you were wondering, he has a closet with clothes in case he stays over so he won't have to be dirty.

Once he finished washing up, he opened the door and went into the kitchen where he saw both of his parents already sitting there.

"Hey mom, hey dad" He greeted them, being the polite son he is.

Kane didn't grab much, just some eggs and two slices of bacon as he was meeting with Romeo for lunch.

Romeo was the one choosing the place, and this guy is wild. You never know what is he thinking.

"It's my secret" Romeo always said.

For all Kane knew, they would be traveling across the globe to eat a meal.

But he didn't want to curse himself so he shut down that idea.

Once he finished eating, he bid his parents goodbye and left for his home.

Driving back, he thought of what his mother said to him. He still couldn't help but think about his relationship with Leah.

He still felt confused, he didn't know if he was feeling love or was it just infatuation.

So he thought of seeking a second opinion- Romeo. Maybe he would help him.

After all, Romeo was in a long term and stable relationship with his girlfriend, Scarlet.

Maybe he would have some good advice for Kane.

When he reached home, he just chilled and did some work. Despite being the weekend, he still had some work to clear.

So that's what he did. He did some of the work before meeting with Romeo.

Kane was mindful of the time, making sure not to be late.

He was sent directions yesterday but handy for the chance to see where it is.

Seeing it was half an hour away, and now being 11.37am, he drove off.

Soon enough, he reached a nice looking restaurant, one he had never been to before.

Thank god he didn't have to take a plane just to eat.

Kane spotted Romeo already sitting at a table. Waving to him, Kane walked over where they did their usual 'bro hug'.

"It's been a long time Ro Ro" Kane teased.

"Yea Lane, it's been a long time" Romeo went along with his teasing.

They both looked at each other unimpressed but just laughed, unable to keep their expressionless face.

"How's life?" Kane asked.

"Fine I guess. I just saw Scarlet and I left to meet you. Am I not a good friend?" Romeo asked rhetorically, lifting an eyebrow.

"Yea yea" Kane answered unimpressed, rolling his eyes in the process.

"Let's order" Kane came back to the agenda, which was to eat and enjoy some bro time together.

After all, it has been a long time since they met.

Romeo signaled a waiter to take their orders and ordered their food. Kane tried the steak while Romeo had the lamb shack.

Along with that, they placed an order for wine.

Just rich man things.

It might be weird to drink at 1pm in the afternoon but they don't care. They are just crazy human beings.

While waiting for the food, they chatted about their life, just some life things.

When the food arrived not long, they dug in, still indulging in their conversations.

However, Kane had something he wanted to share. Knowing Romeo won't spread, he poured his heart out.

"Romeo, I have someone I like. Or at least I think I like. I need some relationship advice" Kane told him truthfully.

Romeo was slightly taken aback by his words. His friend Kane likes someone. Kane was very sensitive to love and being manipulated.

Kane had two past relationships and neither worked out. I guess you could say it was a relationshit.

But in all seriousness, it was something Romeo thought he heard wrongly.

So his honest response was just a 'what?'. More of disbelief than a question.

"I have a crush, if you will." Kane repeated. "I think" He added on.

"Wow" Romeo could only let that out, seeing it was rare behavior of Kane.

"What's your issue?" Romeo asked, more serious than before.

"Well, for starters, I always feel very happy when I'm around her and I always feel excited to see her" Kane shared.

"Kaney, I think you like this girl. As a friend, go and pursue. If not, she will slip away from your fingers.

He recalled from personal experience. Romeo would have lost Scarlet had him left for another country.

But in the end, he decided to follow his heart and chase her. In the end, it all worked out.

"Okay thanks Romeo. I know what to do now" He had a look of determination on his face.

"Bye Kaney. I'll see you when you are attached" He winked for extra effect before waking off to their cars.

Immediately, Kane got into the car and drove off to Leah's place.

It was about 1.30 pm and she was getting ready to leave for her appointment when Kane appeared at her doorstep without notice.

Kane admired how beautiful she was. Despite her casual dressing, she looked beautiful than ever.

It was very simple, just a white crop top with blue jeans, along with a bag with her documents needed.

He had a thousand and one ways to express his love but he chose the most direct way.

"Be mine, please"

school started for me and it was a bore :(

felt like sleeping oops

i try to update once a week, either on saturday or sunday, depending on my mood lol
