The early morning rays streamed through the curtains of the room, casting a golden hue on the soft, warm bed. Kashi stirred gently, slowly opening her eyes. Her body, still cocooned in the comforting warmth of her dreams, sought the familiar embrace of her Veer ji. She stretched out her arms to find him but met only the soft, empty sheets beside her. Confused, her eyes fluttered open fully as she blinked against the morning light.
Where had he gone?
The bed was carefully tucked in, a sign that he had been thoughtful enough not to disturb her. Kashi sat up slowly, brushing her hair away from her face as she surveyed the room. The bathroom door was ajar, and the dressing room was eerily silent. A frown creased her forehead.
"It's still early," she thought, glancing at the clock on the wall. 7:45 AM.
Determined to find him, Kashi slipped out of bed, her bare feet meeting the cool, polished surface of the marble floor with a soft touch. The quiet serenity of the room wrapped around her, but her mind was set. She turned to the bed, her hands instinctively smoothing the comforter, adjusting it meticulously until it looked perfectly arranged.
Her feet carried her to the dressing room, where a treasure trove of exquisite clothes awaited. She approached it, her fingers hovering over the array of fabrics, each one more breathtaking than the last. Her eyes landed on a soft pink saree, its delicate hue reminding her of cherry blossoms in full bloom. The fabric shimmered faintly under the soft light, adorned with intricate embroidery that whispered elegance and grace.
With practiced movements, she unfolded the saree, feeling the smooth, luxurious fabric glide through her hands. Standing before the tall mirror, she began draping it around her slender frame, each pleat meticulously adjusted to perfection. The saree hugged her figure delicately, the pastel shade amplifying the warm glow of her radiant skin. She secured the pleats at her waist, allowing the pallu to cascade down gracefully over her shoulder like a flowing stream. The intricate embroidery caught the light, adding a touch of regal splendor to her appearance, making her look every bit the queen she was destined to be.
After completing her routine, she made her way downstairs, to search for her Veer ji. The mansion was quiet except for the faint sounds of conversation coming from the living room. She stepped lightly, her saree swishing softly as she descended the grand staircase.
In the living room, Rudra was pacing, looking frustrated. "Maa, have you seen my assignment? I don't remember where I kept it, and today's the last day for submission" Rudra cried.
Shalini, ever composed, scolded him lightly, "Rudra, you are always so careless. Why do you leave things lying around?" She then called out to one of the helpers, instructing them to fetch the file from her room. When the helper returned, Shalini handed the file to Rudra with a disapproving look. "You left it in the living room. Next time, keep your things in order."
Rudra grinned sheepishly, quickly wrapping his arms around Shalini in a tight hug. "Thank you, Maa. You always save me!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with boyish charm.
Shalini let out a soft laugh, playfully shrugging her face to free herself from his embrace. "Rudra, that's enough, Leave me now," she chided, though her tone held only affection.
Their lighthearted moment was interrupted when Shalini's eyes caught movement nearby. She turned to see Kashi standing by the doorway, a warm smile gracing her lips. Shalini's expression softened, her maternal warmth now directed at Kashi. "Ah, Kashi beta, when did you come? Come join us," she said, beckoning her over.
"Good morning, Maa," Kashi replied, stepping closer. "Good morning, Rudra."
Rudra grinned, "Good morning, Bhabhi"
Shalini looked at Kashi with motherly affection. "Good morning Beta, how are you? Are you adjusting here properly?"
"Yes, Maa. Thanks to all of you, I feel very comfortable here," Kashi replied softly, her voice tinged with gratitude. Her eyes darted briefly towards Rudra, who stood beside Shalini, grinning as if he had achieved some mischief moments ago.
Shalini's face lit up with a warm smile. "Good. I'm glad you are feeling at home. You are a part of this family now, beta, and we want everything to be perfect for you," she said, her voice filled with genuine affection.
After a brief pause, she added, "By the way beta, the designers will be arriving this afternoon with the dresses for you to choose from. They will also take your measurements to ensure everything fits you perfectly."
Kashi looked surprised. "Maa, but you told me that we would be going to the boutique ourselves?" she asked, her brows furrowing slightly in confusion.
Before Shalini could respond, Rudra cut in with his usual enthusiasm. "Bhabhi, the media has already started buzzing with news about you and Bhaiya. Some reporters managed to get pictures of both of you in wedding outfits during our visit to the hospital. Now, they are running wild with speculations about Bhaiya's marriage."
He chuckled, shaking his head. "It's safer to stay indoors for now, or they will camp outside the boutique waiting for a glimpse of you."
Shalini nodded in agreement, her expression turning more serious. "Yes, beta. The media frenzy has become unmanageable. Everyone is desperate to know about you and the royal wedding. Tomorrow, after the coronation and the legal wedding ceremony, we will make the official announcement ourselves. Until then, it's better to avoid unnecessary attention."
Kashi nodded, a little overwhelmed by the constant attention their lives were under. She felt a mix of excitement and anxiety building up inside her, unsure how to navigate the whirlwind of events. Shalini, watching her closely, noticed the tension in Kashi's eyes.
Sensing her unease, Shalini reached out and gently placed a comforting hand on Kashi's shoulder. "Don't worry, beta," she said softly, her voice full of reassurance. "You focus on being happy and preparing for tomorrow. Everything else, we will take care of."
Kashi smiled, the warmth in Shalini's touch easing her worries. Her shoulders relaxed as she took a deep breath, feeling comforted by the motherly presence.
Kashi started looking here and there, as if searching for someone. Her eyes scanned the room, drifting from one corner to the other, her expression a little distracted. It was then that Rudra, suddenly placed a hand on her shoulder. "Bhabhi," he said teasingly, a mischievous grin tugging at his lips, "Are you looking for someone??"
Kashi blushed and stammered, "Yes....Veer ji...."
"Aha" Rudra grinned mischievously. "So, you are looking for Bhaiya?"
Shalini scolded him lightly, "Rudra, stop teasing her." She turned to Kashi. "Beta, Vishu is in the backyard. He usually spends his mornings there with....."
Before she could finish, Rudra interrupted with a dramatic flair. "With someone he loves. Of course, not as much as you, Bhabhi, but he loves them a lot," he said, a playful glint in his eyes.
Kashi frowned in confusion, her brows furrowing slightly as she tilted her head. "Who?" she asked cutely, a pout starting to form on her lips, out of habit that made her look even more endearing.
Rudra smirked, clearly enjoying her reaction. "Come, Bhabhi, I will show you myself," he said, gesturing for her to follow him.
Meanwhile, Shalini rolled her eyes, suppressing a smile as she shrugged at Rudra's antics. "Rudra, will you ever change?" she muttered, her amused smile betraying her words.
_
As they walked towards the backyard Rudra's constant chatter and mischievous comments filled the air, adding a playful touch to the serene morning.Kashi couldn't help but laugh at Rudra's antics, her heart lightening at his playful nature. Meanwhile, her gaze drifted across the expansive Singhania mansion backyard, marveling at the beauty of the surroundings. Towering trees lined the perimeter, their leaves rustling gently in the morning breeze. Small ponds dotted the landscape, their surfaces shimmering like glass. Birds chirped melodiously, their harmonious songs adding a serene ambiance to the tranquil morning setting.
Halfway through the backyard, Kashi's gaze fell on a striking familiar figure standing there. Her breath caught as she took in the sight before her. Vishwanath was dressed impeccably in a crisp white shirt with straps, breeches that hugged his tall frame perfectly, and polished long boots. He held a helmet in his hand, his posture exuding an effortless confidence and regal grace.
Kashi was enthralled. She couldn't take her eyes off him. He looked so handsome in this attire. Her heart skipped a beat, and a soft blush crept onto her cheeks as she admired him silently.
Before Kashi could muster the courage to say anything, Rudra's boisterous voice broke the moment. "Bhaiya" he called out loudly, waving his hand.
Vishwanath turned at the sound, his piercing gaze immediately locking onto Kashi. For a moment, time seemed to stand still. His breath hitched as he took in her appearance. The soft pink saree she wore clung to her delicate frame, making her look ethereal. The sunlight kissed her features gently, highlighting her serene beauty and adding a radiant glow to her face.
For a brief second, he forgot everything, the world around them, Rudra's loud antics, and even his own composure as he stood captivated by the vision before him.
Rudra, who noticed them lost in their own world, grinned mischievously. With a sly smile, he gently took Kashi's hand, leading her towards Vishwanath. Without missing a beat, he placed Kashi's hand in Vishwanath's and said with a teasing smirk, "Bhaiya, I told Bhabhi you are here with the ones you love. Now it's up to you to tell her who they are."
Before either could respond, Rudra stepped back dramatically. "Okay, Bhaiya and Bhabhi, I need to go now, i'm already late for college". He winked at them, his laughter trailing behind as he darted off, leaving the two alone.
Vishwanath sighed, shaking his head as he realized what his mischievous brother had just orchestrated. Turning to Kashi, he found her staring at him, her cheeks turning a deep shade of pink.
"Good morning, Veer ji," she said softly, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Good morning, Kashi," he replied, his voice gentle and warm, his eyes softening as they met hers.
Kashi hesitated before asking, "Veer ji, Rudra keh rahe the ki aap yahan unke saath hain jinse aap bohot pyaar karte hain...." (Veer ji, Rudra was saying that you are here with the one you love a lot....)
Vishwanath smiled mischievously. "Haan, Kashi, Rudra thik hi toh keh raha tha. Main yahan uske saath hoon jisse main bohot pyaar karta hoon." (Yes, Kashi, Rudra is right. I am here with the one I love a lot)
"Kaun, Veer ji?" (Who, Veer ji?) she asked, confused.
He stepped closer, his voice dropping to a whisper. "Tum, Kashi aur kon. Main tumse bohot pyaar karta hoon."(You, Kashi, who else. I love you a lot.)
Kashi's cheeks turned crimson. "Voh toh mujhe pata hai, Veer ji. Par mere alawa aur kaun hai?" (That I already know, Veer ji. But who else besides me?)
Before she could finish, Vishwanath pulled her gently into his arms. Kashi's wide eyes met his, her hand resting on his shoulder. Her heart raced as his gaze locked onto hers.
"Tum hi ho Kashi, sirf tum hi voh ladki ho, jis se main iss puri duniya mein sabse zyada pyaar karta hoon," (It's you, Kashi. You are the only girl whom I love the most in this entire world.) Vishwanath said softly, his tone laced with raw emotion. "Meri duniya, meri khushi, sab tumse shuru hoti hai aur tum par hi khatam." (My world, my happiness, everything begins with you and ends with you.)
Her breath hitched as his words sank in, her heart racing. He leaned forward, his strong yet gentle hands cradling her face as he pressed a soft kiss to her forehead. The tenderness in his touch sent warmth coursing through her, making her heart swell.
"Par Veer ji....." (But Veer ji......) she stammered, her cheeks flushed as she tried to regain her composure, "aap yahan subha-subha inn kapdo mein kya kar rahe the phir? Aur Rudra kya keh rahe the ki aap unke saath ho jinko aap pyaar karte ho?" (What were you doing here so early in the morning in these clothes then? And what was Rudra saying about you being with the one you love?) Her confusion was evident, the innocence in her voice tugging at his heart.
Vishwanath chuckled, his deep voice carrying a hint of mischief. "Meri pyaari Kashi," (My dear Kashi) he said, gently guiding her a little forward into the backyard. Stepping aside, he gestured towards a grand stable where three majestic horses stood. Their sleek coats glistened in the soft morning light, their presence regal and serene. "Inse milo. Yeh mere saath subha kaafi waqt guzarte hain." (Meet them. They spend a lot of time with me in the morning.)
Vishwanath paused, a playful glint in his eyes as his smile widened. "Aur haan, mein inse bhi bohot pyaar karta hoon, par tumse zyada nahi." (And yes, I love them a lot too, but not more than you)
Kashi's eyes widened in amazement as she stepped closer, her gaze locking onto the majestic horses that occupied the stable. Each one stood tall and proud, their glossy coats shimmering in the sunlight.
"Veer ji....Aapke paas ghode bhi hain?" (Veer ji....you have horses too?) Kashi exclaimed, her voice tinged with awe.
Vishwanath, who had been silently watching her reactions, chuckled softly. "Aap bhool rahi hain, Rani Sahiba," (You are forgetting, my queen) he said, stepping closer to her. "Aapke pati ek raja hain, toh thode bohot rajao wale shauk toh honge hi na."(Your husband is a king, so he must have a few royal tastes as well.)
Kashi turned to him, her face lighting up with excitement. "Veer ji, inme se aapka kaunsa hai? Ya yeh saare hi aapke hain?" (Veer ji, which one of these is yours? Or are all of them yours?) she asked, her eyes gleaming with curiosity.
Vishwanath smiled at her enthusiasm. "Aao, tumhe inse milata hoon," (Come, let me introduce you to them) he said, gesturing for her to follow him.
He led her to the first stall, where a sleek black horse stood, its powerful muscles rippling as it moved. "Yeh Raftaar hai," (This is Raftaar) Vishwanath said, patting the horse gently. "Yeh Rudra ka ghoda hai. Naam ke tarah sach mein iski Raftaar bohot tez hai." (This is Rudra's horse. True to its name, its speed is really fast.)
Kashi smiled and reached out to pat the horse, her attention was then quickly drawn to the next stall, where a magnificent brown horse stood tall and proud.
Yeh Agni hai," (This is Agni) Vishwanath introduced. "Yeh Raghav ka ghoda. Raghav aur Rudra ko bhi horse riding ka shauk hai, lekin mere jaise roz nahi karte. Zyada tar Sundays ko aate hain. Tab humare beech race bhi lagti hai. Baki din inn sabki ki dekhbhaal main aur kuch trained workers karte hain." (This is Raghav's horse. Raghav and Rudra also enjoy horse riding, but not as often as I do. They mostly come on Sundays. That's when we have races between us. On the other days, the care of all these horses is handled by me and some trained workers.) He said and glanced at the horses with fondness, clearly enjoying the bond he shared with them.
Kashi listened intently, nodding as she followed Vishwanath further into the stable. Her eyes suddenly fell on a stunning white horse at the end of the row. Its coat was so pristine it seemed to glow in the morning light.
"Veer ji, yeh kiska ghoda hai? Yeh toh kitna sundar hai" (Veer ji, whose horse is this? It's so beautiful) she exclaimed, walking towards it, astonished.
Vishwanath chuckled again, following her. "Yeh mera hai, Kashi. Iska naam Baadal hai." (This one is mine, Kashi. His name is Baadal.)
"Kitna pyaara naam hai" (What a lovely name) Kashi said, her voice filled with admiration. She turned to him eagerly. "Veer ji, kya main isse haath laga sakti hoon?" (Veer ji, can I touch it?)
Vishwanath nodded, stepping back slightly to give her space. Kashi gently reached out, her fingers brushing against Baadal's soft muzzle. "Baadal, tum kitne pyaare ho," (Baadal, you are so adorable) she whispered, stroking his head lovingly. The horse neighed loudly, enjoying her attention.
But the sudden sound startled Kashi. She yelped and took a quick step back, only to bump into Vishwanath, who was standing right behind her. Her back hit his chest, and his strong hands steadied her by her shoulders.
"Daro mat, Kashi," (Don't be afraid, Kashi) Vishwanath said gently, his voice low and comforting. "Baadal sirf tumhara pyaar aur attention enjoy kar raha hai." (Baadal is just enjoying your love and attention.)
Reassured, Kashi smiled and resumed petting Baadal. Soon, the other horses began neighing, their eyes fixed on her as if demanding her attention too.
"Lagta hai, Kashi," (It seems, Kashi) Vishwanath teased, "inn sabko tumse pyaar aur attention chahiye hain." (all of them need your love and attention.)
Kashi laughed, moving from one horse to another, showering each with her affection. Vishwanath stood back, watching her with a fond smile as she giggled and cooed at the horses, treating them with the same warmth and care she reserved for everyone she loved.
After a while, Vishwanath stepped forward and asked, "Kashi, tum horse ride karna chahogi?" (Kashi, would you like to take a horse ride?)
Kashi turned to him, her face lighting up with excitement. "Haan, Veer ji, mujhe bhi ride karni hai" (Yes, Veer ji, I want to ride too) she said enthusiastically. But almost immediately, her expression faltered and she declined "Nahi, Veer ji," (No, Veer ji) she added nervously. "Mujhe horse riding bilkul nahi aati, aur upar se maine saree pehni hai. Main akele sambhal nahi paungi." (I don't know how to ride a horse at all, and above that I'm wearing a saree. I won't be able to manage on my own)
Vishwanath stepped closer, his eyes locking onto hers. "Tum kabhi bhi akeli nahi ho, Kashi," he said softly. "Tumhare Veer ji hamesha tumhare saath hain." (You are never alone, Kashi,he said softly. Your Veer ji is always with you.)
Before she could protest, he gently placed his hands on her waist and lifted her effortlessly. Kashi let out a small squeal as he placed her on Baadal's back, her legs on one side. "Veer ji!" she exclaimed, clutching the reins nervously.
"Relax, Kashi," Vishwanath said with a reassuring smile as he mounted the horse behind her in a swift movement. He wrapped one arm securely around her waist, pulling her closer until her back was resting against his chest.
Kashi's heart began to race as she felt his warmth enveloping her. "Veer ji, yeh bohot uncha lag raha hai," (Veer ji, this seems really high) she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Kashi, tum bas apne veer ji pe trust rakho aur ride enjoy karo," (Kashi, just trust your Veer ji and enjoy the ride) he replied, his breath tickling her ear.
_
The cool breeze brushed against Kashi's face as Baadal gracefully trotted through the open field. Vishwanath kept a firm yet gentle hold on her, ensuring she was secure. The rhythmic sound of hooves hitting the ground and the serene surroundings made the ride magical.
But then, Vishwanath decided to make things a little more adventurous by increasing the speed. He lightly tugged on the reins and Baadal instantly picked up the pace, galloping faster, and Kashi let out a surprised squeal.
"Veer ji" she exclaimed, clutching his arm around her tightly. Her heart raced, a mixture of thrill and fear coursing through her veins. She instinctively turned her head and wrapped her arms around Vishwanath, burying her face into his chest.
"Kya hua, Kashi?" (What happened Kashi) Vishwanath asked, chuckling at her reaction. His deep voice carried a teasing edge.
"Veer ji, mujhe dar lag raha hai," (Veer ji, I'm scared) Kashi admitted, her voice muffled against his shirt.
Vishwanath immediately loosened the reins slightly. "Main abhi rokta hoon Baadal ko phir," (I will stop Baadal right now then) he said, his tone reassuring.
But Kashi quickly shook her head, looking up at him with wide eyes. "Nahi, Veer ji Mujhe mazza bhi aa raha hai....aur thoda dar bhi lag raha hai," (No, Veer ji, I'm enjoying it too....but I'm also a little scared) she said, her excitement battling her fear. Her cheeks flushed as she added, "Par aapko hug karne se mujhe assurance mil rahi hai ki aap mujhe kuch nahi hone doge."(But hugging you gives me the assurance that you won't let anything happen to me.)
Vishwanath's lips curled into a warm smile as he looked down at her. "Voh toh hai, Kashi. Jab tak tumhare Veer ji tumhare saath hain, tumhe kuch nahi hone denge," (That's true, Kashi. As long as your Veer ji is with you, nothing will happen to you) he said softly, his words carrying a promise.
With a playful glint in his eyes, he tightened his grip on the reins and leaned in closer. "Lekin agar tumhe mazza aa raha hai, toh speed thodi aur badate hain" (But if you're enjoying it, let's increase the speed a little more.)
Before Kashi could protest, Baadal broke into a full gallop. Kashi shrieked, half-laughing, half-squealing, as the wind rushed past her face. She held onto Vishwanath tightly, her head resting against his chest, her hair flying behind her.
"Veer ji, aapne toh mujhe dara hi diya" (Veer ji, you have really scared me) she said, her voice laced with laughter.
Vishwanath chuckled deeply, his arms wrapping protectively around her. "Main tumhare saath hoon, toh darne ki koi baat hi nahi hai Kashi. Tum bas iss ride ko khul kar enjoy karo." (I'm with you, Kashi, so there is nothing to be scared of. Just enjoy this ride to the fullest)
Kashi gradually let go of her fear, her laughter echoing through the open field as Baadal raced through the lush green expanse. Vishwanath's firm hold and soothing presence made her feel safe, even as they moved at a thrilling speed.
After what felt like an eternity, Vishwanath gently pulled the reins, signalling Baadal to slow down. The horse gradually came to a stop, its majestic form panting lightly from the ride. Kashi was still smiling brightly, her face glowing with exhilaration.
Vishwanath dismounted the horse first, his movements fluid and graceful. Then, he turned to Kashi, extending his arms. "Aaiye, Rani Sahiba," (Come,my queen) he said with a teasing smirk.
Kashi hesitated for a second but before she could figure out how to climb down, Vishwanath gently lifted her in his arms, holding her in a bridal style.
Kashi's cheeks turned a deep shade of pink, but she couldn't help smiling. Once her feet were on the ground, she twirled in delight, her saree flowing around her like a soft breeze. "Veer ji, mujhe bohot maza aaya. Yeh ride toh bilkul sapne jaise thi," (Veer ji, I had so much fun. This ride was just like a dream) she said, her voice brimming with joy, her laughter filling the air.
Vishwanath folded his arms and watched her with an affectionate smile. "Tumhare chehre par khushi dekhkar main bina doubt ke keh sakta hu Kashi ke yeh ride meri zindagi ki sabse best ride thi," (Seeing the happiness on your face, I can say without a doubt, Kashi, that this ride was the best ride of my life) he said, his gaze softening with emotion.
Their moment was interrupted by a soft neigh. Both of them turned to find Baadal looking at them expectantly, his large eyes full of affection.
Kashi giggled and walked towards the horse, placing her hands on his muzzle. "Baadal, tum toh bohot cute ho". (Baadal, you are so cute.)
Baadal neighed again, making Kashi laugh. Vishwanath joined her, leaning casually against the fence, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Baadal, tum bohot lucky ho. Tumhe Kashi ka special pyaar jo mil raha hai." (Baadal, you are very lucky. You are getting Kashi's special love.)
Kashi turned to him with a teasing smile, her eyes sparkling. "Veer ji, aapko jealousy ho rahi hai?" (Veer ji, are you feeling jealous?)
"Jealousy aur mujhe? Kabhi nahi," (Jealousy and me? Never) Vishwanath said with mock pride, straightening up. But then, his expression softened, and a playful glint appeared in his eyes. "Lekin Kashi," (But Kashi) he said, his voice taking on a boyish charm, "agar tum abb mere aage kisi aur ko itna pyaar dogi, toh mujhe kuch-kuch toh hoga na. Akhir kar main bhi toh tumhara special pyaar deserve karta hoon na" (If you start giving someone else so much love in front of me, I will feel something-something, won't I? After all, I deserve your special love too, don't I?)
His candid confession, delivered so cutely, made Kashi's heart skip a beat. She giggled, her cheeks turning pink "Aap toh already mere liye special ho, Veer ji," (You are already special to me, Veer ji) she said softly, her eyes meeting his.
The sincerity in her voice caught Vishwanath off guard. His gaze softened, and for a moment, the world seemed to still. He reached out, his fingers gently tucking a stray strand of her hair behind her ear. "Aur tum mere liye, Kashi," (And you are special to me, Kashi) he murmured, his voice carrying a tenderness that sent warmth coursing through her.Their eyes locked, and the silence between them spoke volumes. In that fleeting moment, the connection they shared felt unshakable, as if they were the only two souls in the universe.
Their sweet moment lingered until Baadal nudged Kashi's shoulder gently, demanding more attention.
"Baadal" Kashi laughed again, turning to the horse. "Tumhare bina yeh din adhoora hota. Thank you, Baadal." (Without you, this day would have been incomplete. Thank you, Baadal)," Kashi said, her heart full of gratitude. Baadal, as if understanding her words, nuzzled her gently, letting out a soft whinny, which only added to the moment's warmth.
Vishwanath stood back, watching her with an intensity he didn't try to hide. Her laughter was like music to his ears, her joy, a light that brightened everything around her. As she doted on Baadal and other horses, her radiant smile igniting the morning air, he felt his heart swell with emotions too profound for words. In that moment, he realized that Kashi's joy was now his greatest treasure, and he vowed silently to always protect it.
