-----
"Michelle, focus!" Iaoel scolded, making me sigh and look up at him again with tired eyes. "Listen. I'm sorry about all of this, and I know your life is pretty chaotic right now, but this is more important than your school work, so please pay attention to this."
"I'm trying, but I'm just so... tired," I mumbled as I started falling back to sleep. "Just.. Give me two more minutes..."
"You haven't killed anyone yet, have you?" Iaoel asked bluntly, making me groan and slap around my hand at his direction. The image and sadistic pleasure I got out of the killing that one day made me want to kill myself afterwards. So far I've been using blood from the nurse as a substitute for the souls. It seems to be a good enough substitute, but I can tell the effect it's having on me is slowly starting to shrink.
I can not believe that this is going to be my daily routine for the rest of my life.
"No, and I don't want to," mumbled, making the guys around me sigh with conflicting thoughts in their heads.
"Michelle... I know that you don't want to be this," Cassiel said slowly, picking his words very carefully. "But-"
"But nothing, Michelle. I'm sorry, but you need to kill. We need you alive and healthy, able to function," Belial stated firmly like a parent giving a lecture.
"We're trying to find a way out for you, I promise you," Ariel said softly to me with concerned eyes, making my heart skip a beat. "And you don't... always have to kill to get energy," he said, stepping towards me and sitting next to me on the bed. "There's always other things we can look into to keep you healthy."
"But for now, stick to your job and kill people," Rahab said bluntly, making me feel like I was being stabbed with a knife in the chest.
"Rahab, that wasn't necessary," Iaoel said with challenging eyes, making Rahab roll his eyes.
"Oh please, there's no reason to fuc-
"You are in a house of God, and you will not speak with that language!" Iaoel roared at Rahab, his eyes harding into a silver color and his voice getting lower in pitch.
"Stop yelling," I murmured as I covered my throbbing ears, making Ariel slide over to me quickly and hug me. Instantly the pain washed away.
"If you chaos her pain again, I'm not responsible for my actions," he growled at the guys, shocking everyone in the room.
"Calm down, mister protector," Belial said, mischief and caution in his eyes. "Won't want to turn into a Fallen for being a bad boy, now would you?"
"I swear to everything and anything, if you guys don't quit it," I growled, making everyone go silent.
"Okay, we're getting off topic. Back to the lesson," Iaoel said quickly, making everyone calm down again. It's been like this for weeks. They've all been drilling and trying to stuff as much information into me as possible- from the history of God and his angels and the day of the Fall, to present day.
This - plus school work - equals a never ending pattern of stress, sweat, and migraines.
And I'm reaching a thin line.
"Listen," I said, trying not to sound rude or disrespectful. "Thank you for teaching me all of this, guys. Seriously. It's an honor to be taught about my religion with people who've actually been there at that point and experienced it. But I need rest. You've literally been keeping me in this house till nine at night everyday, and I'm running out of excuses to tell my mom. I think she thinks I'm a drug dealer or something," I said, making Rahab laugh and the rest of the group sigh.
"She's got a point though. The chick needs some room and some sleep," Rahab said after his laughing fit, making all eyes turn to him in surprise.
"Are you serious? We can't waste time, Rahab. God knows what will happen if we don't teacher everything she needs to know in time," Cassiel said with a tone of shock clear in his voice.
"Listen," I said to them, making them all turn to me. "Today's Friday, which means tomorrow is Saturday, correct?" I said, making all of them nod in response. "Well, if you let me go now, I'll say I'm going shopping with my sister tomorrow morning, and leave her at a friends house so that we can have the whole day to work. Okay?" I asked, making all of them - except for Rahab - hesitant before slowly nodding.
"Okay. I think that's fair," Ariel said quietly, turning to the rest of the guys. "I think her deserves a break."
'I know the real reason you want to leave, Michelle,' Ariel said. I could sense the sadness in his tone; making me stiffen from shock and caution under his hold. 'Don't do anything stupid at that party, take care of yourself, and if you need me, just call. I promise I'll be there,' he said slowly and calmly, giving me a firmer hug, before letting go and getting up from where he was sitting on the bed with me.
"Fine. We'll let you go," Cassiel said after a solid minute of silence, crossing his arms. "But understand that we're going have to drill in a lot of information tomorrow."
"Yeah, I understand," I said solemnly, getting up from the bed.

"Why do you want to borrow my pumps?" Dayna asked me as I stood at the entrance of her room with a towel wrapped around me and wet hair thrown all over my head.
"Come on, just hand some over, it'll only be for the night, I promise," I said pleadingly, wanting to look presentable at the party. I don't really know how to dress for it, but I'm guessing the fancier I look the better I'll fit in.
"No. Not without a valid reason," Dayna replied, curious eyes looking over my body as she popped the bubble she blew with her gum. "Why the hell did you shower so early? You normally shower around eleve-"
"Okay, listen," I said sharply, my patience growing thin. "It's either you hand over some shoes, or I tell mom that you lost your virginity last year," I said with narrowed eyes, making her stop blowing on her gum mid-bubble and swing her head towards me in shock.
"You wouldn't fucking dare," she growled, making me snort and look at her with challenging eyes.
"Want to try me, bitch?" I asked her, making her groan and roll out of her bed grumpily. As she started to walk towards her closet I contemplated on telling her. I mean, I don't know what her reaction will be if I tell her, and we still have a little bit of tension between us from our last fight.
"What color?" she grumbled, making me smile in victory.
"I'd prefer black," I answered, making her snort.
"Black, like your soul?" she said sarcastically, making me sigh and look around the room.
You'd be surprised, Dayna.
"Just hand them over already," I said in exhaustion, making Dayna scoff and grab a pair from her closet.
"You better be careful with these," she growled, gently handing them to me. "They're my favorite pair. Scratch them and I'll end your life."
"Your threats do nothing to me," I drawled as I turned to leave the room. "Thanks, Dayna," I said, before slamming the door shut in her face.
When I got to my room I placed the shoes on my bed and started searching for makeup and clothes. I found a very pretty black, lace dress that would look great with the shoes and tossed it behind me, onto my bed. After that I immediately went towards my vanity and searched through my limited amount of make up. I grabbed the basics - mascara, red lipstick, and blush - and ran into my bathroom, already late because of the argument with Dayna.
I quickly dried my hair and put on my makeup - surprisingly only messing up on my mascara. After I touched up my hair and makeup I ran over to my bed and put on my clothes and shoes.
"Michelle! Dana told me that you're leaving the house! Get down here!" my mom yelled from downstairs, making my fangs come out in irritation as I hissed at the wall in front of me.
Fucking sisters.
"Coming!" I yelled as I tried to shrink my teeth while heading towards the door. When I opened it I saw Zach passing through the hallway. I sucked in my breath and closed my mouth as I tried to speed walk away from him, but he saw me before I could run away.
His jaw dropped at what I was wearing, fear and protectiveness in his eyes as he looked me over. But before I could say anything he walked away from me, making me roll my eyes and stomp down the stairs.
"What the hell are you wearing?" she asked me in shock when she saw me walking down the stairs, making me suck in a breath.
Forget that she's possessed. Treat her like a normal mom.
"I'm going to go meet up with a man who's college I'm applying for," I lied through my teeth, making my mom look at me with only partial belief.
"Michelle-"
I can't do this right now. At this point I'm already ten minutes late.
I looked at her with my silver eyes, making my mom's sentence stop before it could even start- automatically hypnotizing her.
"If you make my mom fight with me, I will personally find a way to possess her so I can get into her and rip you to fucking shreds," I growled with lengthened fangs, making the black eyes form and look slightly scared.
"If you want me, you'll have to go through Master first," the demon hissed, making me let out a low growl.
"I've already went through Satan. You'll be a piece of fucking cake," I spat out with venom, making the black eyes diminish and the confused- hypnotized - mom eyes come back.
"I won't fight with you," my mom said dully, making me sigh in relief.
"Oh, and if you hurt my mom," I said before I could turn around and leave. "I'll feed you to the thousands of starving demons inside of me."
"Understood," a screechy voice replied with a little bit of apprehension.
"Good," I growled as I turned around and walked towards the door.
Not waiting for a reply, I slammed the door shut and walked towards my parent's car.
Once I got to the car I tried to open it, but the resistance of the door made me want to slap myself across the face.
Of course, I forgot the fucking keys.
"God damn it," I growled, wanting to punch something. I'm not going back into that house again and looking stupid. No way in hell.
I could walk there, right?
"Or you could, you know, beg me to take you there," Sammael said cockily from out of nowhere, making me sigh. We haven't talked since the time at the classroom, and I'd prefer to lengthen the amount of time.
"Sammael, if you're going to be an asshole-"
"So, hey, guess what I found out while you were getting taught by those little pixie sticks," Sammael said, making me close my eyes impatiently and turn towards him, only to look over at him in shock.
He was himself this time. No cloak or mask. And it still shocks me to see him like that.
"Y-Yeah?" I said, but also slowly noticed that he was frozen in shock too, looking me over with wide eyes.
"I-I-um..." he said, clearing his throat and looking away from me. "If you look into the eyes of death and survive, you can only die willingly."
"What are you talking about?" I asked him, making him sigh and look from the gravel to my forehead.
"That means you can only die if you want to die. No one can kill you, except for yourself," he said stiffly, making me grin.
"Are you serious?" I asked excitedly, my whole attitude brightening. "That's awesome!"
"No, no, that's not awesome, you dumb shit!" Sammael roared, making me jump and flinch away from him- my mood souring again. When he noticed that he opened his mouth to speak, but hesitated before finally closing his mouth again.
"I, um... have a party to go to. I should... go," I said with pursed lips as I turned around and started to walk towards the end of my driveway, making Sammael sigh and walk towards me.
"You're never going to get there at that pace," he deadpanned, making me feel like the cartoons that have smoke coming out of their ears.
"I can, and I will. Shut the fuck up," I growled, hearing his pace quicken.
"Michelle, I'm s-" he said, making me stop walking and him stop his sentence from progressing.
"I'm sorry, you're what?" I asked sarcastically, making him growl when I wouldn't turn to look at him.
"Nothing," he growled through a mouth full of fangs, making me snort and keep walking.
"Okay," I said passively as I kept walking, but out of nowhere I felt two hands grip my biceps and slam me into the nearest tree.
"Don't you dare walk away from me," he growled into my neck, making me shiver- his fangs a centimeter away from my skin. His hands traveled from my biceps to my waist, but I stayed still the whole time, not wanting to give him the satisfaction of squirming. "You know I get angry when you try to be independent," he said, violently spinning me around and then slamming me into a the tree again.
"I have somewhere to be, Sammael," I deadpanned, making him growl and pull himself closer into me, almost no space between us.
"I dare you to try act all smart again," I growled, trailing his hands down to my butt. I narrowed my eyes at him in a challenging way, daring him to do what I think he's going to do.
"If you squeeze my ass, I swear on my life, Sammael, I'll-" I growled, but before I could finish we teleported to a different place, making my breath hitch.
Once my eyes adjusted I realized that we were in Samuel's bedroom, making me laugh humorlessly. "You're unbelievable," I said, but before I could say anything else Sammael squeezed my butt; his claws injecting poison into my body, making my eyes roll to the back of my head in pleasure.
"I know," he breathed, his mouth on my neck - fangs grazing my skin - , making my breath stutter as I tried to calm down from all of the pleasure.
"Sammael st-stop," I said weakly, trying to push him away from me. Sadly, all of my energy somehow left me, and after two failed tries my arms flopped to their sides- feeling like they weighed tons of pounds.
"Shut up," he growled harshly, gripping onto my ass even tighter, causing more poison to seep into my body, as he started to suck on the skin on my neck. My knees almost buckled from all the pleasure.
What the hell is up with him all of a sudden.
"I hate you so much for this," he growled as he bit into my skin, making me growled back. "Why did you have to dress like that?" he asked as he let go of my butt and trailed his arms up to my waist, his claws shrinking the higher up he went.
"Why do you have to be so horny?" I countered bravely, making him squeeze my waist and stiffen, as if he was stopping himself from doing something.
"Where do you need to be right now?" he asked, making me wrack my brain for the answer- the poison still not wearing off.
"At a... party," I said slowly as I closed my eyes, my body suddenly feeling like it was weightless.
God I hate this twisted life.
I take back every second thought I had in my past. I take it all back.
"We're here," he whispered, making my eyebrows raise as I slowly opened my eyes. His eyes were set in a glare, looking like he knew something bad would happen here. "Call me later," he said curtly before disappearing into thin air, leaving me at the front door of someone's house - my dress raised a little too high up and my hair probably a mess.
After trying to fix as much of myself as I could without a mirror to look at, I knocked on the door, the sound of music heard slightly from outside.
I knocked around five times before someone finally opened the door, the sound of the music blaring into my ears harshly as soon the door was opened.
Vladimir answered the door, eyes wide when he took in my appearance. "H-Hey, Michelle," he stuttered out awkwardly, scratching the back of his head when he saw me, making me chuckle and smile at him.
"What, is there something wrong with my face?" I asked, making his eyes pop out of their sockets.
"No!" he yelled, making me jump, and others around him in the house look over briefly before going on with their lives. "No, I-uh... You look... great," he said, making me laugh again. He's so adorable.
"So... can I come in?" I asked with a smile, making him nod quickly before opening it wider for me to come through.
I don't know why, but Vladimir has been acting more and more like this towards me for days now, and it's adorable, but I'm starting to get uncomfortable. Does he not like me anymore? Did I do something wrong?
"So, um... the drinks are to the left, in the kitchen. Food's being circled around throughout the room. The cake will be served after most of the people leave, so it's only for my closest friends-"
"Can I have some of the cake?" I asked as I turned to him, feeling like a child.
He chuckled, his twinkling eyes making my stomach do a backflip. "Yes, and you'll get the biggest piece too," he said with a grin, making me squeal and hug him. He hugged me back, laughing.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you," I said as I chuckled, squeezing him. "You made my night."
"Glad I could," he said, slowly pulling away from me with a smile going from ear to ear.
"Enough of all this talking," I said, a smirk on my face as I grabbed his wrist. I've had I rough couple of weeks, and even though I know alcohol is bad for me I remembered Sammael's statement - that I won't ever get a hangover from alcohol again - and made good use of my memory by asking, "Where's the alcohol you hid?"
