Chapter 269 - I Don’t Accept Teammates Who Are Too Dumb

Feng Tianlan had expected Tu Xiupei to continue in some crazy rage and was surprised that Tu Xiuyu had suggested joining hands with her. She couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow. “And why should I join hands with you?”

“I have discovered that she’s hiding a terrible secret. I hate her. I hate her so much, and since the enemy of my enemy is my friend, we can team up and get rid of her,” Tu Xiuyu said hatefully. She had seen Big Brother Rong looking for Tu Xiupei just after she had stepped out of her courtyard.

In any case, anybody who tried to snatch her man away deserved to die, especially someone like Tu Xiupei!

“Hoho,” Feng Tianlan laughed hollowly at Tu Xiuyu. “I haven’t forgotten that you hate me to death, too.”

Feng Tianlan had really added fuel to this fire. Si Rong going all out to gain Tu Xiupei’s favor must be driving Tu Xiuyu insane.

“I hate her more. We’re just teaming up, not becoming friends. After we’re done with her, we can settle the feud between us.” Tu Xiuyu didn’t bother hiding the hatred she felt for Feng Tianlan. It would be a lie to say that she didn’t hate Feng Tianlan.

But, she hated Tu Xiupei even more for snatching away Big Brother Rong and causing the death of her child. Even if Tu Xiupei died a thousand times, it wouldn’t dispel any of Tu Xiuyu’s hatred.

Feng Tianlan saw Tu Xiuyu’s face twist from hatred, but she pretended that she hadn’t seen through her. “What secret is she hiding?”

Since Tu Xiuyu was willing to let her watch them bite each other, Feng Tianlan was going to stand aside and watch them go at it.

“Tu Xiupei has lost her virginity before marriage!”

Feng Tianlan narrowed her eyes. “Lost her virginity before marriage?” How did she know?

Tu Xiuyu thought that Feng Tianlan didn’t believe her, so she recounted what she’d seen the night before. “Go and check. You’ll see that someone’s neck was broken just after he finished. I swear that Tu Xiupei did this.”

“So, what do you want to do?” Feng Tianlan asked calmly. She realized that last night marked two weeks since the previous round. If she and Si Mobai had stuck around a little longer, they would have seen the poison acting up in Tu Xiupei again.

Tu Xiuyu clenched her teeth as she viciously said, “Even robbers aren’t as horrible as her, killing a lover after finishing with him. I want you to host a banquet and catch her red-handed in front of all the guests.”

She wanted Big Brother Rong to see Tu Xiupei’s true colors and understand that she was filthy and shameful.

Once she successfully brought down Tu Xiupei, she could say it was all Feng Tianlan’s doing. That way, she would get rid of them both and take back the Feng Clan!

Feng Tianlan saw right through Tu Xiuyu’s plan and laughed a little. “Chuling, go and summon Tu Xiupei. Let’s see if Tu Xiuyu is telling the truth.”

“You don’t believe me?” Tu Xiuyu asked anxiously. If Feng Tianlan made inquiries, Tu Xiupei would not let her off.

“It’s not right to wash our dirty linen in public. Once this matter is exposed, it will seem like the Clan Head isn’t doing her job well. Do you think I’m stupid?” Feng Tianlan looked at Tu Xiuyu mockingly. “I’m not doing this together, and I have no interest in joining hands with you.”

An overly dumb teammate would bring her down!

Tu Xiuyu bit her lip. No matter how angry she felt, she had no choice but to take her swollen face and leave. She was prepared to think of some other plan because she didn’t believe that she couldn’t take Tu Xiupei down!

“Miss, do you think that what she said is true?” Chuling didn’t believe it. Tu Xiupei even looked down on a prince, so it was impossible that she would dally with someone of no status, what to speak of killing him after doing the deed!

“Get someone to follow Tu Xiuyu and find out what she intends to do and help her. Make sure whatever Tu Xiuyu wants to do gets done properly and achieves her desired effect.” Feng Tianlan gave these instructions because she knew that Tu Xiuyu was too stupid. She was afraid that Tu Xiupei would defeat Tu Xiuyu even before Tu Xiuyu made her move. Feng Tianlan had to help Tu Xiuyu in secret if she really wanted to watch them bite each other.
