Jimin's POV

"Get out of my way, get the fuck out of my way." I wailed, pushing past Jungkook's advisors as my eyes fell on the terrible sight in the snow.

"Oh," I breathed, freezing in my spot.

He lay so peaceful, yet so mangled, in the largest pool of blood I had ever seen in my life. Anyone could tell this was done with malice. I took a few strangled steps towards his body as my eyes raked his skin.

Deep holes from wolf's teeth punctured his neck, some of the skin peeled back and torn to reveal the wet, bloody meat underneath that still looked fresh despite the time. His left arm and leg had been broken at obscene angles and his right hand was bent so far back, it was a wonder to me how something could have angled it in such a way as his wrist bone penetrated his skin. This was not the work of humans, but rather, wolves.

My lip trembled as I stood there, hands shaking without knowing what to do, lips parted without knowing what to say, and eyes wobbling without knowing where to look. I slowly walked forward and fell to my knees, gently placing my arms underneath his limp and sopping body, picking him up. Seungjae's head lolled back into a sickening snap, making me whimper as his face revealed itself to me - eyes missing and teeth completely knocked out. Something snapped inside of me, and I screamed; a deep, guttural, pained cry.

I held him close to my chest; an incoherent moaning of no's left my mouth as I held him close, rocking back and forth, holding him as tight as I could against me.

Freezing blood still within him seeped into my clothes and skin as my tears fell on his white complexion.

"Help me, help me..." I whimpered as people stared. I wailed pitifully into his body, craving for my once best and only friend, the once so innocent but oh so wise little boy, to return to me.

The sadness and emptiness grew by the second as eyes stared at the scene before them - a Luna gripping the first true friend he had ever made here; desperate to revive something within him. They averted their eyes, looking anywhere but the scene.

"Jimin," Jungkook's voice sounded gently behind me, his feet taking tentative steps behind me.

"Don't fucking touch me." I hissed so evilly, I could taste the venom within my words.

Suddenly, I was somewhere beyond where I was.

A cabin.

Three men.

A fire.

One man in front of it.

I stared at the man by the fire, still on my knees and in the position of holding Seungjae. It was warm inside and the sound of the fire crackling filled my ears as the man squatting by it poked a long stick into the embers. I breathed heavily, swallowing hard at the situation unfolding before me.

The man by the fire seemed to sense something as if he could feel someone else had entered the room.

Carefully, he looked over his shoulder and locked his eyes where I was squatted. One eye was completely closed over with a long purple and red gash sliced perfectly over it, presumably empty of eyeball underneath the patch of the closed skin. My blood ran colder than it had already been.

I recognized him immediately as the man from my dream so many nights ago, Donghae Yang, the Alpha of Jeon pack's rival pack. The dark blue eyes and mess of dirty blonde hair suited him perfectly, but there was something slightly off about him. He stared at me, a spiteful smirk spreading from ear to ear. My lips quivered as I took in a sharp breath, my hands dropping from the position of holding Seungjae. My eyes squinted painfully at him as tears continued to pour from my eyes.

"You did this," I whispered horrifically, noting his rather calm and smug aura. Donghae looked away and rose from squatting on the floor. He turned to the other men and gestured at them to leave, waving his hand, bored, in the air. They left quietly, leaving him and I alone as I continued to watch his actions.

"You think I can't see or hear you, can't you?" He asked.

I furrowed my eyebrows at him, confused.

"You aren't the only one blessed with the sight to see beyond, bitch." He looked back straight at me.

I swallowed, rubbing my arms as I was cold inside of the warm cabin. "You killed him." I hissed, staring at him with the most terrible look I could muster.

"And I'm coming for you next." Donghae mocked, a malevolent laugh bubbling from deep within his throat.

"You're a monster." I seethed, staring at him with such horror, I could tell he loved the look.

"I could say the same for your pretty little mate you got there." He commented, turning his back to me and gazing back into the crackling blue and yellow flames of heat.

"I hope you burn in hell, you sick bastard," I whispered, sniffling.

Donghae looked over his shoulder with a frown. "I hope you don't mean that." He jested, mocking fake concern.

I scoffed and looked down at my empty hands, knowing I would transport soon enough back to the image of my young dear friend lifeless in my bare arms.

"You think he's so innocent, don't you?" Donghae asked, having fully turned around from the fireplace to look at me as if shocked that I wasn't aware of his statement.

"He hasn't told you, has he?" Donghae continued, spit flying off of his lips with anger.

I looked away, disgusted at the sight as he menacingly walked forward. "He hasn't told you how he killed my beloved Miyong? My gorgeous daughter, Ara? He didn't tell you how he took Miyong's throat in his jaws and shook so hard, her blood flung onto my skin and I could feel her neck snap as if it were my own?"

"How he found my child, my only child, a gift from the goddess because Miyong was born not to breed, and scratched her face so hard, her eyes came out and his paws crushed her arms and legs and hands. He never told you how he slaughtered my entire family in front of my eyes? What a mate you have." Donghae spit at me, his face inches from my own, spit splattering my face. I shuddered at the feeling.

"One day, I'll do the same to you. When you've lived happily for so long with your mate and raised a family for thirteen years only to have them ripped from you so violently, you-" He stopped and made a fist, as if an attempt to calm himself. He looked away and swallowed. "No. You've gotten a taste today. But one day, I'll come for you. I swear on Miyong and Ara's life, I'll come for you." He whispered, staring deep into my eyes.

He turned and walked back to the fireplace, squatting back down and staring into the flickering flames. "You can go now."

I opened my eyes, Seungjae's limp body loose in my arms once more. I stared at his pale skin coated with thick, dried blood; looking over his body once more, realizing his neck had been grabbed first, tossed from side to side within the jaws of the wolf until snapped. "Donghae did this," I whispered, looking at Seungjae.

"How do you know?" Jungkook asked behind me.

"He told me," I said, closing my eyes as a few tears fell steadily down my face and dropped off the tip of my chin.

"When did you see him?" Jungkook asked, moving slowly to kneel down beside me, his eyes staring at the side of my face.

"Just now. She showed me. They're in a cabin, three men, a fire, one man in front of it, Donghae Yang." I answered, his words of what Jungkook had done suddenly ringing through my mind.

Jungkook placed a hand on my shoulder, causing me to flinch look over at him with weary eyes.

"Come here." He whispered, slowly pulling me into his arms as I gently let go of Seungjae into the snow, his small body tumbling with ease into the cold substance. Jungkook nodded to one of his advisor's who took the opportunity to grab the dead boy and carry him away without allowing me to catch one last look.

"He was so young." I cried some more in Jungkook's shoulder as he ran his hands up and down my back. The snow had melted into my jeans and frozen my skin, but I felt nothing in this moment other than pain and Jungkook's hands.

"I know," Jungkook whispered, continuing to hold me.

Jungkook knew. He knew. He had done this too. Ara had been thirteen, and Seungjae, six, but Jungkook knew.

I sniffled on his shoulder as he continued to hold me, a few advisors still standing around us. Seungjae was dead. His mother was dead. Our pack Omega was dead. I was next. I closed my eyes and let out a shudder of a breath, the ideas of all he could do to me running through my mind.

"Oh, moon goddess." I breathed, opening my eyes and staring at the white sky above me.
