Chapter 31

31

Extremely Slow love

Naina grabbed her hand and put a stop to it.

"Can you please close your eyes, I'll change," Naina said in externally politely manner.

Meera closed her eyes. She was wearing a red bra. After changing, Naina quickly got out of the car, trying to avoid eye contact with Meera's red bra.

Naina stepped out of the car, breathing heavily as if she couldn't breathe inside the car.

Naina thought to herself, "Meera is crazy, sitting in front of me with her top off, not even bothering to change herself. Who does that? Is she teasing me or judging my patience? I need to stay away from you, Miss Meera. I don't want these feelings. My heart, calm down."

Meera stepped out of the car, now wearing a black top, with a smile on her face.

"Shall we, Naina? You have to get back into the car," Meera said cheerfully.

Naina, in her anger, muttered to herself, "Meera has become a monster, not even feeling shy. This job is going to be the hardest for me."

Naina stormed into the office without saying a word, while Meera was smiling.

Jay called. Aahan didn't pick up, so Jay parked his Ferrari in front of Aahan's house and stood there. A crowd gathered around Jay, asking for autographs and selfies. Jay's bodyguards were handling everyone. When Aahan woke up, he heard a lot of noise. He looked out the window and saw Jay looking at him. Aahan rushed outside, opened the door, grabbed Jay's hand, and pulled him inside. He smacked Jay on the head.

"Are you crazy? What was that? Do you want to tell everyone?"

Jay smiled and said, "What will I tell them? I called you 90 times. I left my shoot to come here. Didn't you see?"

Aahan looked away and said, "Why would I be mad? I understand you're working. You don't even have time to breathe."

Jay laughed loudly and said, "Cutie, will you stop lying? Tell me the truth?"

Excitedly, Aahan said, "Nothing. I got a job at my favorite writer's place!"

Jay was over the moon, lifting Aahan up and breaking into a dance. Aahan couldn't stop grinning.

In his head, Aahan was like, "Yep, seeing you happy because of me is all I wanted. Feels awesome. That's all I need."

Jay was like, "Let's party! Where to?"

Aahan teased back, "Nah! Wherever you go, people just want your autograph. Won't even let me hang out with you."

Jay, trying to keep a straight face, said, "Aw, my cutie's getting demanding! I always feel like we're a couple, but hey, everything else is cool."

Aahan playfully whacked Jay's head and said, "Where do you come up with these random thoughts? And have you got a new crush now?"

Jay came closer, looking serious, and said, "I've had a crush on someone forever. No one else even comes close.

Aahan looked down, grumbling, "Who?"

"Maggi," Jay said with a smile.

"How does Maggi look?" Aahan looked a bit angry and annoyed.

"Yellow and tasty."

"Eww, what... wait, you're talking about noodles?"

Aahan took a sigh of relief and plopped down on the sofa.

Jay flopped down on top of Aahan, who grumbled, "Get off, you jerk! I can't even breathe properly; hitting the gym has turned you into a rock." Jay chuckled, "Where do you think I get these hot six-packs from?" Aahan glanced at Jay's T-shirt, then teasingly tickled it and looked upwards, noticing Jay's pretty cool six-pack. Without warning, Aahan pushed Jay off the sofa with a playful shove.

"I'm hungry, why don't you make something?" Aahan said with puppy eyes.

Jay saluted, lying on the ground and said, "Yes, boss, coming right up!"

Aahan started laughing loudly.

Teena was sitting in the restaurant, calculating expenses and figuring out how much more investment was needed. Since there weren't many people coming to the restaurant, she was contemplating strategies to attract new customers. Lalita was having her first photoshoot. Lalita stepped out wearing her outfit.

The photographer said, "You're looking very beautiful."

Meera said, "Show a little more confidence, you cannot work like this."

The photographer replied, "Easy, Meera! It's her first shoot, she might be a little nervous."

Naina arrived and signaled "all the best" to Lalita as soon as she saw her. Lalita smiled, but she was feeling a bit nervous after hearing Meera's comments.

Naina asked the photographer, "Has the shoot started yet?"

The photographer replied, "Not yet. Ready."

Naina, on her way to meet Lalita, notices Meera's presence as she has arrived.

Meera receives a call and moves aside to talk.

Naina says to Lalita, "Lalita! Just do your best, don't take too much pressure, it's your first shoot. You're looking amazing."

Lalita hugs Naina and says thanks. Just then, Meera arrives and ends her call.

"Done with your lovey-dovey talk? Can we get to work now?" Meera says teasingly.

Naina whispers to Lalita, "Ignore Meera, she's just trying to stress us out. Don't take it too seriously."

Naina then addresses Meera, "Hi, ma'am. Please understand Lalita with love, it's your company's reputation at stake."

"Don't teach me what to do, just leave," Meera says in an annoyed voice.

Naina smiles and exits.

Lalita's shoot went really well. The photographer said, "You gave great expressions, you're the best! You could totally be an actress."

Lalita replied with a laugh, "Thank you so much! I was just giving it my best shot."

Meera got up from the couch and left.

After changing out of her dress, Lalita took an auto straight to Teena's place. Teena was yelling angrily, pacing back and forth, and talking to herself.

Seeing Teena upset, Lalita said nothing and left. She started cleaning the tablets at the restaurant when Teena noticed her arrival. Teena brought a glass of water, held Lalita's hand, and made her sit down.

"You came here to work, why are you doing so much now? Drink some water and relax."

"I thought you might need help? I'm not tired at all."

"You're here, so tell me. What happened all day?"

Lalita recounted the whole story, and as Teena listened, she started smiling more and more. When the story ended, she burst out laughing, "Meera's face must have been priceless. You did the right thing."

Lalita chuckled too, "Yeah, Meera was left speechless."

Teena seemed unfazed, completely lost in Lalita's storytelling. Lalita noticed that Teena needed money but she wouldn't ask for it.

Teena said, "You go home and rest, we have to go back to the office tomorrow."

"Can I come to your place today?"

"Sure."

Lalita asked, "Can I have the house keys?"

"Here you go."

"I'll cook and keep the food ready, make sure you come home on time."

Teena chuckled, "Why are you doing all this for me? Don't you want to get a boyfriend? Go on a date with Jay. Why do you keep hovering around in my stressful life?"

"I'll cook and keep the food ready, make sure you come home on time."

Teena chuckled, "Why do you do all this for me? Don't you want a boyfriend? Go on a date with Jay, why do you keep hanging around in my stressful life?"

"I like being with you. Boyfriends will come and go, you're better than them. You're my best friend, my lifeline, got it? You can ask me for anything, anytime."

Just then, a customer arrived. Teena got up to welcome them. Lalita took ashirwaad.

"Grandma, you're here?"

"Just came to see you. Where's your friend? The one you always praise on the phone."

Lalita glanced at Teena.

Teena also greeted her.

"Don't make me feel old, dear. Don't greet me like this. I came to meet my granddaughter. Lali, bring a glass of water."

Teena asked, "Would you like something to eat?"

"No, beta (daughter). I'm going to donate food to a school. They need to throw a party, so you can place this order. It's my birthday."

Teena exclaimed happily, "You're joking, right? Me...mine?" (Lalita brings water for her grandma)

Grandma said, "Yes, my beta. Lali, you remember my birthday."

"Yes, Grandma, I'll come to school tomorrow."

"Alright, and bring Naina, Meera, Aahan, all your friends. I remember all of them."

"Okay, but promise me you won't eat sweets."

"It's my birthday, I can have a little."

"No."

Teena said, "Lalita, you live with your grandma, didn't tell me."

"No, she lives in New York, didn't even tell when they're coming."

Grandma says, "Now don't complain, come tomorrow quietly."

After dropping grandma to the car, Gradma Wink & Lalita smiled.

Teena said after grandma left, "Your grandma is so cute! Finally, I got a big investment. What do you think? It's like God has done this for me, see how lucky you are for me."

Lalita smiled while standing, while Teena danced happily.

Lalita asks, "Do you think Meera will come?"

Teena became serious.
