Chapter TWENTY EIGHT

The Bad Girl Attack

"Uh huh." Adam answered to Claire over the phone, clearly not interested in talking to people right now. But Claire calling someone? That was quite rare.

Actually, extremely rare.

"Seen Lucas?" Claire asked, her voice disturbed and he knew that that tone meant she was also frustrated.

"Lukey boi? Nah." Adam chuckled quietly.

"What??" Claire yelled over the loud music Beats that were being blasted on full volume. Probably.

"I said no."

"I can't hear you, you fuxking douche!"

"I SAID NO. I DID NOT SEE LUC-" He stopped mid sentence, gently moving away from a natural blonde, who tried to thrown herself on him. "I think I see him now." His eyes snapped up towards Lucas who was currently strolling down to the middle of the dance floor.

"Can you not be a little more louder?!"

"I SEE HIM NOW!" He roared making a few people give him a look. "YOU NEED TO BE LOUDER TOO."

He gave a challenging smile to the people staring at him and continued to follow Lucas who looked as if he was high on drugs.

"I am loud, moron! It's like you have a hearing disorder." He heard her say, clearly knowing that she was shit pissed and would probably attack someone from her non existent claws.

He could hear perfectly.

"Uhhh, I'll call you back." He mumbled.

"I'm gonna fucking torture your soul-"

He cut the call, not interested in listening to another profanity and the death threat, of course. And also, he had something important to do.

Adam kept moving forward, sobering up a little bit, still not sure what was actually going on. He was just looking at the said boy a few feet away from him, who was quickly getting surrounded by strangers, mostly girls.

Was he hallucinating? Was that really Lucas or...

He looked a lot like the good young Lucas and not the Lucas he knew at the same time which made Adam stop on his tracks and ponder over his thoughts a little bit.

Adam was definitely seeing things. Lucas wasn't like this? What happened to the person his best friend was crushing so hard on?

He never took his eyes off the desired person, but took out his phone to dial Claire to confirm Lucas' mental health condition.

"What?!" Claire growled.

"How does our Lucas look again?" Adam asked, unsure of what was happening.

"Are you drunk too you fuxking fool?!"

"Jeez calm down idiot." Adam huffed. "I just feel like this isn't Lucas."

"My exact intention of finding Lucas is because he changed himself from a nerdy cute little 7 year old to a 26 year old hot male with two buttons of his shirt undone on top and he doesn't know shit that's going on."

"Uhm.."

"What?"

"Is he supposed to be hitting on chicks?"

"What?!"

"You heard me."

"Get him out there before he goes overboard!"

"Ahem. He's getting taken away."

Adam went quiet after saying that, looking at how the almost sober brunette teen was slipping her hand into Lucas' and slowly walking out of the crowd.

And they looked... Kinda infatuated.

"What are you doing there then?" Claire asked dumbly. "Are you ever gonna get to him?"

"It won't be fun to ruin their moment now, would it?" Adam said uncomfortably, his other free hand coming up to ruffle his own hair.

"Adam.." Claire started. "Are you kidding me? Stop them, Adam!"

"Oh wow.."

Adam stood frozen, as Lucas gave out a smirk and headed to kiss the brunette.

He was surprised that Lucas even had it in him to make a move. But it was all the alcohol that messed up with his brain.

"Adam!" Claire almost lost her shit when Adam didn't reply.

"OH YEAH." He widened his eyes. "I'LL GET HIM."

He could hear Claire sigh from the other side before he cut the call, yet again. He trudged his way towards the two people, while squirming in the crowd, fishing his way to them.

The lights beamed down on everyone, and when the beat dropped, the crowd cheered loudly.

Claire was calling him again, his phone buzzing in his hand, but he couldn't bother himself to pick it up. He had to 'save' Lucas and probably save himself from the devil herself.

Now that he was thinking about this, Claire would actually turn into a wild beast if she found out that her boy even thought about hitting on others except her.

But then again, when would Lucas ever hit on anyone at all?

Lucas was slowly being drifted away from the crowd and Adam had to get a hold of him before it was too far too late.

He lifted his hand to shake Lucas' shoulder when suddenly, he felt someone else's hand shaking him.

"Adam!!!" The guy grinned from ear to ear.

"Er..?"

"Adam, my man!" He felt a fist collide lightly to his arm.

"Sean??"

"Yo!"

"And you're wasted too." Adam internally groaned.

"Nope, I'm actually useful." He chuckled loudly.

"Man, go back to the hotel." Adam gave a soft push and a thums up to the direction where their hotel was.

"Oh ahah, I lost my way, and I don't know where to goooo!" Sean shook his head. "Thank fuxk I found you, now ill go with you!"

"Sean." Adam sighed. "Okay fine, just... Just follow me."

"Why? Are you Twitter?" He started laughing hysterical at his own joke.

Adam stopped on his tracks and turned around to stare dumbly at the person who was clutching his stomach.

"Are you done?"

"Hahahaha."

"..."

"Done now."

"Right."

Adam turned around, lifting his hand again to get a hold of Lucas, but the boy was long gone.

This time though, it was Adam's turn to laugh nervously.
