Kai rolled his eyes at her and then thought of something.

“You’re almost recovered. Why don’t you recuperate at home?”

Nicole shook her head and refused.

“No. Clayton is still here. I’ll go when he’s better.”

Kai said, “You heartless thing. Just torment me as much as you can!”

Then, he ran off in anger.

Before long, he came back with a fruit basket. Unbelievable.

Nicole was shocked. “Kai, did you run out just to buy fruits for

me?»

She was really touched.

Kai said, “Grant sent it over before I could even walk out the door. He told me to peel the fruits for you.”

Thus, he could not run away even if he wanted to.
