Chapter 1587 Eric is Back

From the time Nicole disappeared, Clayton had so many things he wanted to say.

The earth-shaking changes left him with no one to talk to.

Fortunately, he still had the chance to tell her.

Nicole nodded and watched the doctor push him in. Director Sven and the expert team soon got the

news and went inside

too.

The curtain inside was drawn shut, as if separating them into two worlds.

Nicole stood there and waited for a full hour, not even changing her posture.

No one knew what she was thinking. Her thoughts were scattered and messy, but her mood was

inexplicably relaxed.

Hearing the sound of footsteps behind her, Nicole did not even have to think to know that Kai had

brought the others over.

“Lil N, I heard he woke up?”

Floyd walked over with a glint in his eye.

No matter what, he did not want his daughter to get hung up over a vegetable for the rest of her life. It

was good that Clayton was awake.

Nicole raised her head, looked at Floyd, and nodded with a smile.

“He’s getting a checkup inside. It’ll be done soon.”

Floyd breathed a sigh of relief, looking in good spirits.

“That’s good, that’s good. No matter what, he saved you, so he’s the benefactor of our family. Tell him

not to hold back if there’s anything he wants.”

Nicole smiled and nodded.

“Okay, Dad. Don’t worry.”

Floyd smiled. “I’m not worried. Get Kai to stay with you and let me know if you need anything. I’ll go

back and ask the butler to make some nutritious meals to aid in his recuperation.”

Nicole nodded and watched Floyd leave happily.

Kai sat on the side and tilted his head, utterly exhausted.

“Grant and Aida have been informed. Everyone can finally breathe a sigh of relief.”

Nicole looked at the door and smiled without making a sound.

Not long after, Grant and Aida came together.

Grant’s expression was anxious, but he appeared cold and solemn. He looked at Nicole and Kai and

wrinkled his brows as he glanced at the closed door of the ward.

“He’s awake?”

Nicole nodded. “He’s getting a checkup inside. He’ll be done soon.”

Aida said, “That’s great. Lil N can finally rest easy.”

Nicole smiled.

Grant frowned and stepped forward.

“Eric is back.”

At those words, everyone was shocked.

So soon?

It was such a coincidence.

Nicole raised her eyes, which were sunken and cold. There were no ripples to be seen in her eyes.

She did not ask, but Grant did not hide it either.

“The news just came in. Eric fought with Caleb in Southeast Asia for quite a few days. He destroyed

several of Caleb’s dens and even ruined his smuggling business. Out of anger, Caleb tried to kill Eric.

In the middle of Eric’s escape route, Caleb was wiped out by another arms dealer who worked with

Snakehead. It was probably something that Eric planned in advance. As soon as Caleb died, some

people began to get restless and tried to split territory. Caleb’s subordinates began to compete for

territory and business. A shootout accidentally

injured many civilians, and they were targeted by the authorities. In the end, international police were

deployed, and the group was annihilated.”

Grant finished in one breath. He glanced in the direction of the ward and pursed his lips.

“Now that Eric is back and you guys are safe, you guys can come and go as you please, but don’t rule

out invisible threats. I’ll arrange for bodyguards to protect you secretly.”

He said “you guys”, which naturally included Clayton.

Kai was in a daze and snorted in disdain.

“Why didn’t that jerk just die in Southeast Asia?”

Just thinking about it made Kai furious.

If not for Eric, would Nicole have to suffer like this?

She suffered, but the person who saved her was not even Eric.

Even if Eric did a good job afterward, so what?

What if Nicole was not saved?

Grant glared at Kai with a cold gaze.

“Kai, watch your words.”
