Selena turned around and suddenly hugged his lean waist. She was languid and coquettish.

“Of course, I’m satisfied. I’m starting to discover more advantages in you.”

Just as Eric was about to laugh, Selena let go of him, raised her head, and asked solemnly.

“But is the deed to this house in my name?”

Eric paused. “My subordinates got it done for me. If you want it in your name, we can go through the

formalities tomorrow.”

He did not think much about it.

Selena said, “Forget it. I don’t dare to take it if you give it away for free. Don’t give me any property in

the future since it’s not easily liquidated. Just give me money.”

Eric was taken aback for a moment. He looked down at her and chuckled softly.

“Do you really not have enough money? Didn’t I give you my credit card?”

Selena walked into the bedroom indifferently and sat on the bed.

“I don’t feel comfortable spending with the credit card you gave me. In the future, just transfer money to

my account regularly. That way, our relationship will be simple and burden-free.”

Eric was initially smiling, but when he saw her eyes, his smile gradually faded.

There was a moment of silence in the room.

He looked at her with dark and deep eyes and suddenly smiled again.

“Are you still upset because of tonight? Taylor is just a business partner. You know that I didn’t say

much to her. Why are you so jealous?”

Selena raised her eyes to look at him. Her eyes were gentle and calm.

“The bar’s renovation will be done in a few days. It’ll be more suitable for me to live there.”

Eric’s eyes darkened. “You won’t have a good rest.”

“I’m well rested. I sleep soundly when I’m sleeping on my own turf.”

Eric took a deep breath. “Okay. I’ll get someone to change the deed into your name tomorrow. This will

also be your turf from now on.”

It was rare for Eric to coax a woman with such a gentle tone.

He walked over, sat next to her, put one arm around her waist, and gently kissed her cheek. His eyes

were dark and solemn.

“Stop talking about making our relationship simple. Is our relationship simple?”

Eric did not want Selena to think that their relationship was just transactional.

He had invested so much energy and thought into it, which could not be equated with money.

He would give her whatever she wanted.

“Selena, why did you suddenly think of marriage? Isn’t our relationship now good enough? Marriage is

a big event. We’ll need time to adjust and consider it, and the procedures are very complicated. I have

been divorced twice, and marriage has been a failure for me. It doesn’t mean anything, and I didn’t get

to this point because of marriage.”

Selena sighed and suddenly felt that her breathing was difficult.

She could not help but sneer. Her heart was throbbing with pain, but she acted nonchalantly.

“Are you drawing a big picture for me? I already listened to Cindy’s version today. Do I have to listen to

yours too? Do you two take me for a fool? Eric, you’re the best manipulator there is. I finally witnessed

it myself.”

Eric noticed her attitude. His expression slowly froze and turned cold. His eyes were stern and deep.

“Selena, what’s wrong with you? We didn’t get together with the intention of marriage, so why did you

bring up this topic all of a sudden? What did Cindy tell you? She’s just provoking you.”

There was tension between them.

Eric keenly noticed that Selena’s emotions had something to do with Cindy.

Thus, he figured that Selena mentioned this topic because of Cindy.

Since it was Cindy’s instigation, he did not have to worry.

Selena’s heart trembled slightly. She suddenly felt that she was powerless to resist a gentle Eric.

“It doesn’t matter if it’s instigation or anything else. I stayed with you in the first place because I didn’t

have a place to live, and I was a little interested in you. Now that the bar is about to reopen, our

relationship should come to an end. Since you haven’t thought about marriage, I don’t need to invest

too much into this relationship. We’re adults, so we should be more sensible.”

Her voice was cold when she spoke, and she looked at him without blinking or dodging.

Eric’s face gradually turned cold.

“Selena, I’ll give you another chance. I’ll pretend that I haven’t heard those words, so take them back.”

“Eric, don’t lie to yourself. How can I take back what I said?”

They were quarreling again.

A moment ago, Eric was secretly happy because they seemed to be getting closer to each other. At

Selena took a deep breath and interrupted the silence.

“Let’s just stop here and leave on a good note. We don’t have to pester each other in the future.”

Selena turned and walked to the door.

“Selena, do you think you get the final say in this? Do you think you can just leave like that? Do you
