Chapter 2552 A Happy Event

Mitchell sat there and looked at his phone from time to time, feeling a little nervous.

“Ms. Nelson, don’t worry. They are the best specialists in the world.”

Selena twitched her lips and nodded.

“I know, but I’m just worried. What if the best specialist can’t do anything about it? What if he loses his

eyes?”

Mitchell pursed her lips. “I asked the specialist. There’s a high probability that they can keep his left

eyeball. But it’ll be more serious if his retina is damaged, so we must go abroad for treatment. The

resources for domestic retinal transplants aren’t sufficient, and they only accept blind donors. Mr.

Ferguson can’t stay blind all his life. He needs to have at least one good eye that can see.”

If the high and mighty Eric really went blind, Mitchell was afraid that Eric would not be able to accept it.

Selena trembled slightly.

After a long time, she took a deep breath.

“It’s okay. I can give him one of my eyes.”

offered him your eye.”

Selena took a deep breath and leaned lazily against the wall. She said with a smile, “We made up

again.”

Mitchell paused.

“Congratulations.”

Mitchell smiled.

He was happy to see Eric and Selena reconcile.

After all, Mitchell knew that Eric had become more irritable and ruthless after the breakup. He changed

too much.

They could finally breathe a sigh of relief.

“There’s nothing to congratulate. Breaking up and getting back together is normal.”

Selena said indifferently.

Mitchell raised his eyebrows. “During the time you broke up, everyone in the company was stepping on

eggshells. Mr. Ferguson found an opportunity to fire three executives at once, and the project

department was exhausted to the point of dying. Since he dated you, his tolerance for his subordinates

has been much higher. So, your reconciliation is simply a happy event for the entire Ferguson

Corporation!”

Selena was speechless.

Eric’s examination and surgery took an afternoon.

The specialists came up with a medical plan that night.

Eric needed to recuperate in the hospital for a month, then he could go home to recuperate for half a

year.

If his left eye recovered well and he could see things clearly, it meant that he would have a smooth

recovery.

Although Eric’s right eye received a severe impact, most of the force was absorbed by his eye socket,

which was more severely damaged and fractured.

If the impact area was larger, he might be disfigured and would require plastic surgery.

Eric did not rely on his face to earn money, so his focus was on his eyes.

Therefore, the specialist team ordered special glasses for him.

That way, he could be free from gauze, but it would not affect his eye recovery.

As soon as Selena heard that there was no need to remove his eyeballs, she just wanted to jump for

joy and thank God.

This showed that Eric’s eyes could be saved.

Mitchell also heaved a sigh of relief.

“Then please take good care of Mr. Ferguson for the time being!”

“I will!”

Selena smiled. The gloom of the past few days was swept away.

Eric woke up from the anesthesia.

News of his hospitalization spread like wildfire.

Many people lined up to come and visit him, but Eric did not see them.

However, some important customers and friends came in to say a few words.

Even so, they did not stay for long.

They did not say much about Selena’s presence because everyone could guess the situation.

When Harvey called Selena and she answered, Mr. Griffin’s voice came through.

“Ms. Nelson, it’s me!”

“Mr. Griffin? Do you need something?”

“I don’t have your number, and I was afraid that you wouldn’t answer my call, so I borrowed Harvey’s

phone. You followed Mr. Ferguson to the hospital last time, right? How is his condition now? Is Mr.

Ferguson alright? Our new movie will start soon. It’ll be our loss if he, our investor, doesn’t show up!”

Although Mr. Griffin said so, he was just worried that the funds would not be in place.

Selena smiled. “Mr. Ferguson is okay. He’s recuperating, so I’m afraid he won’t be able to get in touch

for a while.”

Mr. Griffin paused. “We’d like to visit him. Is it convenient?”

When he asked, he felt a little regretful.

How could Selena know that it was convenient for him to visit Eric?

Eric and Selena did not know each other well, and she only sent Eric to the hospital.

Before he could take back his question, Selena turned her head and asked, “Mr. Griffin wants to visit

you. Is it convenient?”

“No.”

Eric’s tone was very low. He lay leisurely on the rocking chair and waited for Selena to finish the call so

that she could feed him some fruit.

He wished these kinds of days could last forever, and he did not want others to disturb him.

Mr. Griffin was taken aback when he heard Eric’s voice and immediately said, “Selena, please tell Mr.

Ferguson that we won’t bother him. We’ll just take a peek at the door to make sure that he’s alright. I’ve

been really worried since he was injured and couldn’t eat or sleep well!”

Selena glanced at Eric, and he waved his hand impatiently.

“Whatever.”

Before Selena could convey the message, Mr. Griffin heard it.

“Okay. I’ll go right now!”

He hung up the phone.

Selena said with a smile, “Mr. Griffin really cares about you. I’m not a cast member, so he can

completely disassociate himself from me. Not only does he not blame me, but he’s also so worried

about you.”

Eric raised his head slightly to see her, but he later realized that he could not see anything.

He chuckled lightly and said in a clear voice, “This old guy is only concerned about me because he’s

afraid that I won’t invest in him. It’s probably because you are the only one who left with me, so he can

only go through you if he wants to find out anything. So, there’s no need to be grateful to him.”

Selena paused, smiled, and did not say much.

Mr. Griffin’s actions were unexpectedly quick.

He carried a lot of things in big and small bags. Harvey and Lara also came along.

Three people represented the cast.

They could not get in because this floor was heavily guarded by Eric’s people.

Thus, Selena went out to pick them up.

She could not help but smile when she saw Mr. Griffin.

Harvey and Lara were empty-handed, and Mr. Griffin was carrying everything.

They looked so different.

“Selena, all these things are for Mr. Ferguson. Since we’re here, can we see him?”

Selena paused. She had asked Eric before she came out. Although he was very reluctant, he was not

that adamant.

“I’ll ask again.”

“Sure, sure. Go and ask.”

Mr. Griffin smiled.

Harvey opened his mouth and could not help but ask, “Ms. Nelson, are you here to take care of Mr.

Ferguson? He didn’t make things difficult for you because of this, did he?”

Although Harvey knew that Selena and Eric did not have an ordinary relationship, they pretended not to

know each other, which made Harvey a little worried.
