Chapter 2619 The Price of Lies
The Divorced Billionaire Heiress
Noah had lived in peace for twenty years.
The musty smell of the damp room tainted Noahâs expensive suit.
Noah laughed loudly, and blood flowed out of his mouth.
It was nasty and sticky.
Noah could vaguely see the car accident from back then and smell the gasoline from the collision as
well as the blood after the woman jumped off the building.
Surprisingly, it smelled the same.
âIs she dead? Iâm glad sheâs deadâ¦â
Noah mumbled as he grinned.
Eric looked at him with a cold gaze and kicked him, breaking several of his ribs.
Noah clutched his chest in pain. His face turned pale, and he could not utter a word.
The pain was extreme, so his body curled up. However, the sharp pain surged.
Ericâs tone was cold. âAre you awake, Mr. Stanton?â
Noah coughed up a mouthful of blood.
He laughed intermittently.
âSheâs not dead, huh? What a pityâ¦â
Eric saw that Noah was delirious. His eyes darkened.
âWatch him. Thereâs no need to call a doctor. It doesnât matter if he dies.â
âYes, sir.â
There was anger in Ericâs eyes.
The next day, Grant asked someone to deliver a package of things to Ferguson Corporation early in the
morning.
When Eric went into the office, Mitchell handed it over.
Eric opened it and had a look.
It was the evidence of Noahâs tax evasion in the company over the years, as well as evidence of
Noahâs illegally obtained funds and projects.
This evidence was enough to imprison Noah for 20 years.
However, the Stantons did not give it to the police but to Eric.
That was because Noah was in Ericâs hands.
Once the evidence was handed over to the police, the police would definitely start to look for and arrest
Noah. In that case, Eric would be in a passive situation.
However, if they handed the evidence to Eric, Eric would have the final say in what would become of
Noah.
It was impossible for Noah to get away with his crimes again.
This was the Stanton familyâs stance.
Eric took a look at it and asked Mitchell to put it away.
He did not want to let Noah go so soon.
However, he still had to respect the Stanton family.
As long as the Stanton family did not intervene, Eric would not implicate others.
At noon, Eric was worried about Selena, so he called home.
The servant answered the phone.
âHow is Madam feeling today?â
Before the servant could speak, Selena picked up the phone.
âMrs. Ferguson is fine today. Sheâs in a good mood. Donât worry and make more money, okay?â
Eric was taken aback. He smiled with his eyes.
Judging by her tone, Eric knew that Selena regained her spirits.
âYouâre in a good mood? Thereâs a bank card in the bedroom drawer. You can go shopping if you want.
Someone has to spend the money I earn!â
Selena laughed. âOf course. Chance is on vacation today, so Iâll take him shopping. He can help to
carry my bags!â
âHow much can that little boy carry? Why donât I help you?â
Eric was also in a good mood.
Selena said, âYou donât have to come. Every minute that you work is just an extra bag for me! Donât
waste it.â
Eric replied, âYou really know how to enjoy yourself!â
The two talked for a while, and Selena thought of something.
âEric, donât kill him. Itâs not because I donât want him to die. I just donât want to get his dirty blood on
your hands.â
Eric pondered quietly for a few seconds before he said, âAlright, I know.â
If Eric had not captured Noah, he would not have let Selena go out with such ease.
Now, Selena could go out openly.
Selena smiled and hung up the phone.
A trace of gloom flashed across Ericâs eyes. He did not go shopping with Selena.
Noah was seriously injured, so Eric was not worried that he would run away.
Moreover, the bodyguards were all carefully selected.
More than half a month later, Noahâs rib injury was almost healed.
Eric made a phone call, and the bodyguard broke Noahâs ribs again.
Just like that, Eric waited until Noah recovered before he asked his bodyguards to break Noahâs ribs.
This happened repeatedly until Noahâs wounds would never heal.
Noah lay on the bed in pain. The room was dark.
It was very similar to the room where he imprisoned Selenaâs mother.
Back then, Noah wanted stimulation and sensual pleasure.
When it was finally his turn to be locked up, he only felt waves of panic and chills.
Noah could not take it anymore.
A month later, Eric received a call from the bodyguard.
Noah confessed something that none of them knew.
Noah wanted to exchange this information for his freedom to end this dark torture.
Eric readily agreed.
Thus, a confession letter arrived on Ericâs desk.
It described in detail how Noah bribed Joelâs driver, tampered with Joelâs car, killed Joel, and attempted
to take possession of Selenaâs mother.
Between the lines, Noah did not admit his mistake. Instead, he calmly narrated what he had done and
how he felt when he killed them.
Noah was a psychotic murderer.
Eric read it for a long time and felt suffocated.
That was how Selena came to this earth.
A flower actually bloomed from a pile of dung.
It was incredible.
Joel Nelson was useless, Selenaâs mother was weak, and Noah was psychotic.
Eric did not hide it from Selena. He let her read the letter before telling her about his decision.
âJust leave it to the police. Murder is bigger than personal grievances. We canât solve this matter
privately, but the police can.â
Selena did not say anything and nodded in agreement.
She already knew the answer and had the result.
How she reacted did not seem to matter that much anymore.
Her biological father killed her biological mother. She was not welcomed into this world, and she did not
owe anyone anything. She did not need to avenge or stand up for anyone.
Since things came to this point, the best way was to expose the forgotten past and tell the truth. They
would let the judge make a decision.
The kindness she owed to her grandfather for her upbringing had been paid off.
Selena felt relaxed.
Eric quickly asked people to hand over the evidence that the Stanton family gave him to the police.
After the police filed the case, Eric asked his bodyguard to let Noah out.
Noah stumbled down the street, looking dazed and listless. He staggered forward, and the passers-by
screamed.
Soon, someone called the police.
Noah was arrested by the police for a serious commercial crime.
The police also notified the Stanton family in advance. The Stanton family only said that they hoped
that the police would follow the law and that they did not plan to bail Noah out. They also wanted to
pursue Noahâs responsibility for the huge losses caused to the company.
The police had not begun to fully verify the incident of the commercial crime when Noah confessed to
another criminal offense.
âI was the one who tampered with Joel Nelsonâs brakes. I wanted him to die. I did it. I forced that
woman to her death. Even if she didnât jump off the building by herself, I wouldâve killed her. Hahahaha!
She deserves it. Officer, I surrendered, so will you be lenient? I can pay bail and youâll let me go, right?â
The police noticed something was wrong and immediately went to investigate a man named Joel
Nelson.
All of a sudden, Joelâs car accident from twenty years ago was involved in this case.
They also discovered two major cases of Joelâs wifeâs suicide and a series of rape that were tied to
Noah.
The rest became a matter of course.
