The Backstory On My History Teacher (teacherxstudent)
**Dasha's POV**
People kept talking and saying things that made no sense to me. There were times when I was pretty much conscious, but my eyes were still closed. It was like I was dreaming and wasn't able to tell someone I was awake.
The weird thing was, someone kept mentioning a baby and if it was going to be okay. I wonder if they meant Missy's...
My eyes flickered open slightly to see the harsh hospital lights. Sheesh, they should work on dimming those, I thought as a nurse was adjusting my IV.
"Oh, you're awake. Let me get the Dr."
"Wait, what about the baby?"
She stopped and looked at me.
"Someone keeps mentioning a baby," I whispered.
"You don't know?"
Obviously not, I've been out for a couple of hours or something, my mind shouted. "Know what?" I answered.
"You're pregnant Miss Watkins. But don't worry, the baby survived all the trauma you endured," she smiled kindly and walked away.
Tears streamed down my eyes as I felt my abdomen. When the fuck did I get pregnant!
Someone was squeezing my hand gently while I tossed and turned in the bed.
"Dasha," a voice sounded gently.
"The baby," I murmured as someone shook me gently.
"Dasha, wake up."
I show up quickly while gasping. My body was drenched in sweat and I couldn't focus on anything but the fact that I was in the hospital.
"Dasha," the voice said gently. "What's wrong?"
I closed my eyes for a moment and opened them. Hayden was leaning towards my face and stroked my cheek, "what baby?"
"I..." I looked down and saw a wrap was around my abdomen. "What happened?"
"You were in a car accident," Hayden began gently. "We had to chase you because Josh and Missy had kidnapped you. The police shot out the back tire as they flipped. You were in the backseat..."
"There's no baby?" I whispered as I felt my abdomen again.
"There's Missy's baby," he frowned. "I'm not sure what you're talking about."
It was a dream, I realized and felt tears fall quickly at how relieved I was. Oh thank God! Then it dawned on me that I was awake and talking to Hayden!
"Hayden," I gasped and looked at him as he smiled gently and grabbed my hand.
"You're awake," he whispered gently.
"Yeah," I dried my eyes and hugged him as best as I could. "How long was I out?"
"A few days," he murmured and kissed my forehead briefly. "I need to call Rose and tell her you're awake. Nina will come in and sit with you."
"Are my parents?" I began as he looked at me which made my breath stop.
"They're here as well."
"They don't know?"
"I said I was a good friend of yours," he kissed my forehead again. "Now stay awake until I get back please."
I watched him walk out and sighed. I was okay, and he was still here.
A nurse came in and looked startled before smiling. "I'm glad you're awake Miss Watkins. Do you feel sore anywhere?"
"No," I felt my fingers, "just a little stiff."
"We'll try to get you up and walking tomorrow. Would you like me to bring you some food?"
"Yes please," I grinned as she walked out and my parents came rushing in.
"Oh Dasha," my mom sighed and held me tightly as she sobbed quietly into my hair.
"Mom, I'm okay." I hugged her back and squeezed my dad's hand. It was good to see them, regardless of the circumstances.
"Well, I'm glad you are now," she sighed as my father wrapped his arm around her.
My parents were both tiny with dark blonde hair. My mother had bright blue eyes, and my dad had hazel eyes with a squared chin. To me, they were the most perfect couple I had ever been around.
Rose came rushing in with Sean as Hayden stood back a little bit.
"Dasha!" Rose launched herself at me as I gasped and tried to mask the pain that was in my abdomen.
"Sorry," she grabbed my arm instead and latched onto it. "You're okay? No terminal damage or anything?"
"Not that I know of," I patted her hand and accepted Sean's hug as they began talking to my parents.
My dad stood up and went over to introduce himself to Hayden as the chatter quieted down.
"Thank you, for saving my daughter."
"It was nothing, sir. Just doing my job," Hayden smiled his tiny smile.
"Regardless," my father waved his hand. "She's our pride and joy, so thank you." He pulled him in for a hug as Hayden's eyes blazed into mine.
I felt my heart race slightly as I tried to control it before the machines went haywire.
The nurse then walked in with Nina and my food. I felt my mouth water as I saw a delicious hamburger with fries.
"Excuse me," the nurse said politely and handed me the food. "Eat slowly Miss Watkins, and take this with your water. It'll help with the pain and nausea."
"Thank you," I murmured and began stuffing my face as politely as I could manage.
"We'll go grab some food while you finish," Sean said and kisses my hair before walking out with Rose.
Nina hugged me gently, "glad you're back," she whispered and went to go make a phone call.
My parents smiled as Hayden came over and held me tightly and long. How I longed to have no wires on me so I could hug him properly.
"Thank you," as I felt his lips press against my forehead.
**Long chapter yay! Not done yet! Maybe I'll have another chapter up before Thursday but no promises! Anyone think she was really pregnant ;) **
