Chapter One Hundred Twenty Four
Let's Not Fall In Love(我们不要坠入爱河)
As we climbed the stairs we talked about nothing. I wanted so bad to ask about Kang Wu's wound but the guy probably knew about the same as me so it would be a waste of time. When we got to the third floor I turned around and was quickly met with a smile from the guy behind me.
"Why are you smiling like that at me?" He didn't say anything and I watched as his eyes glanced behind me. His smile suddenly fell and I cocked an eyebrow.
I turned around to see someone standing at my door. I glanced behind me to see Ba Wei looking as confused as I was. They were dressed in a hoodie and what looked to be a skirt, so who ever it was had to be female.
"Hey, can I help you?"
As those words left my mouth the person turned around and a flame was instantly lit in me. It was Yaling, and I wish that was the only reason I was mad but it wasn't. The fact that she was standing outside my door was what was weird. I never gave her my address so how does she even know where I live?
She turned towards me, "Ji Nan-"
"What are you doing here," I said as I walked up?
I made a quick glance behind me and noticed that Ba Wei looked rather unbothered by her presence. I stepped in front of the girl that I'm assuming stalked me to get my address and unlocked my door.
I looked over at Ba Wei, "wait for me inside okay?"
Our eyes met and he nodded. He walked pass me into the apartment and without giving Yaling a glance he said, "don't keep me waiting long." When he shut the door I let out a sigh and looked at the girl in front of me.
"Ji Nan I-"
"How do you know where I live," I asked cutting her off? She seemed taken aback but still answered me.
"You brought me here once."
"No I didn't. It's almost comical that you'd lie so badly."
I crossed my arms and studied her face. She seemed a bit conflicted, and I could understand why. She did just show up at my house and couldn't even tell the truth on how she got the information. I hate people equally but people who invade my privacy are a bit higher on my list.
"Look I just wanted to talk to you," her voice was soft.
"About what Yaling? There's nothing for us to talk about."
"I just don't understand." I could hear her voice trembling. Oh great she's about to make a scene. Just wonderful.
"You don't understand what exactly?"
She looked up at me, "what does that guy have that I don't? What makes you like him more than me?"
I stared at her in utter shock. Not because of what she asked but of the nature of the question. I don't understand why she just can't understand that I'm not interested. It has to do with her looks and her personality at this point.
"I'm not interested Yaling. Why can't that much make you stop bothering me?"
"Because we were fine before that guy came into your life."
I was getting annoyed. I had been trying so hard to not hurt this girls feelings even when I was rude to her. I wanted to let her realize that I would never date her but I see she's a bit more stubborn than I had thought. I ran a hand through my hair and was about to respond when the door behind me opened.
I looked behind me, "were you not able to find something?"
He didn't respond to me, and instead his focus was purely on Yaling. If I'm being honest he seemed a bit annoyed by her presence but I can't really blame him.
"How did you get this address," he asked firmly?
"It's none of your business," Yaling snapped back. "Why are you even here? This is his apartment."
"This is my boyfriends apartment so I can come and go as I please."
My heart almost skipped a beat upon hearing Ba Wei call me his boyfriend. It felt like electricity went through my body. I felt like celebrating, but that would be too embarrassing. I was so deep in thought that I almost didn't notice Ba Wei grabbed my hand. He gave it a slight tug. I looked back at him and the look on his face was definitely telling me to come inside.
I turned to Yaling and sighed, "look go home. I don't have the energy to deal with you right now."
I didn't give her a chance to say anything and just walked inside and shut the door. Literally less than a minute passed before she started to bang on my door. Ba Wei let out a sigh and looked at me. It was like he was asking permission. Permission for what you ask? I'm not sure either. He walked up to me and laid his forehead against mine.
"I don't want to be rude to that girl out there, but you're not going to be able to sleep with her making all that noise."
"Do I look that tired?"
He didn't say anything and just planted a kiss on my lips before stepping away. He walked around me and nudged me a bit. I knew he was telling me to go get in bed, but I didn't want too without him. I reached out and grabbed his arm, and when I looked up at his face I saw a small smirk on his face.
"I'll be there after I get rid of her. You can't go to sleep with all this noise."
I let go of his arm and slid out of my shoes. I turned and made my way to my room. I heard the door open and Ba Wei say something but I couldn't make it out. If I was being honest I was a bit annoyed. Not only was I tired but now I had to probably change locations. I have had many people obsess over me but none that went to this extent.
I pushed the thoughts to the back of my head and pulled off my shirt and tossed it into the dirty clothes basket. I flopped down on the bed and took in a deep breath. I don't know how long I laid there but after a few minutes I heard footsteps echo through the room.
"If you sleep like that you'll catch a cold."
I turned over on my back and looked over at the boy that was leaning against the door frame.
"Then come here," I said lifting my arms.
He cocked an eyebrow at my sudden invitation but still walked over. I watched as he got on the bed and slowly laid his body on top of mine. I spread my thighs a bit so that our laying position was a bit more comfortable.
"You're not going to get any sleep like this you know."
I let my fingers glide across the hem of his pants, "how do you know that?"
"I know that because this isn't comfortable."
I was about to say something when he leaned down and kissed me. I didn't even get a chance to kiss back since he immediately started to plant kisses all over my face. It's not like I minded that much, but I wasn't used to such pampering. If I'm being honest I didn't take Ba Wei as the sensual type.
"Are you usually this gentle with everyone you date?" This seemed to surprise him since he stopped the kisses almost immediately.
"No. Only you."
His gaze was intense as he said that and as he stared at me I couldn't help but think that he was trying to show me that he wasn't lying.
"Really? You must've been a bad boyfriend to other people then."
I cocked a smile as I said that and as I studied Ba Weis face I couldn't decipher what he was thinking. I reached up and ran a hand through his hair stopping my hand at his neck. I gave it a slight squeeze and without another thought I leaned up and kissed him. As our lips parted Ba Wei let out a sigh.
"You should go to sleep. It's already almost three in the morning."
I was confused on the sudden change of subject and was even more confused when he tried to get up. Without thinking I wrapped my legs around him forcing him to stay in place.
"Ji Nan..."
"It's true that I'm tired but..." I loosened my legs and moved just enough that our crotch's rubbed together. "I don't want to sleep just yet."
