Songs for this chapter:

My Universe by Coldplay X BTS

Falling (cover) by JK of BTS (let's all cry together)

That night, for the first time since Jimin and Jungkook had started dating, Jimin couldn't sleep, not with Jungkook sleeping next to him, not with Jungkook's hand in his hair and the other one wrapped tightly around his waist. Jimin couldn't sleep, and he knew why.

He was scared that his dreams that night wouldn't be so pleasant.

It also didn't help when Jungkook said a few words before he fell asleep. Not sure if Jimin had already fallen asleep or not, he just had to speak it into the night. Jungkook needed to reassure himself.

Jimin pretended to already be asleep. The dark room, his back to Jungkook, and his steady breathing helping him convince Jungkook his words weren't heard, even if they were.

"Hyung," He had breathed out, waiting for a few seconds, and when there were no indications that Jimin was still awake, he continued. "I really didn't mean it. I know what I said was true to some extent, but you don't even know what it means to me to have you in the same room, what it means to me when you sit next to me without even having to talk to me, what it means to me when you just look at me. I love you so much that I'm happy with whatever you give me, baby. You're more than enough. I love you, alright?" Jungkook's words were whispered into the night, with some hope that Jimin might actually hear them, even if just in his dreams. "Jiminie? Baby, you're asleep?" Jungkook asked, just to make sure, nuzzling his face in the back of Jimin's neck, and leaving a kiss there. "Goodnight, darling."

Soon after, the room was filled with Jungkook's soft snores, and Jimin tried really hard not to shift in bed, or breathe the wrong way. He tried really hard to stop his chest from aching at the thought of Jungkook loving him so unconditionally, even when Jimin hid his feelings easily, and felt better when he did. He tried to stop his self deprecating thoughts from spiralling, tried to stop the intrusive thoughts from popping up in his head, with all the different scenarios of Jungkook breaking up with him because he lost his patience, because the hard times outweighed the good ones.

Throughout all of these different thoughts Jimin had, he never considered giving up on Jungkook, and as he turned in bed to face his boyfriend, he promised himself that he was going to start trying tomorrow, and the day after, and the day after that. He was going to start trying from that second forward if he wanted to earn a beautiful relationship with the man he loved, and just as Jimin promised himself that, he felt Jungkook shifting closer, and hugging him in his sleep, unknowingly sealing the promise Jimin had made.

Jimin didn't know what was waiting for him tomorrow, or what Taehyung actually had in mind, but he was ready, because at that same time tomorrow, he would be in this bed again, in Jungkook's arms again, and he knew in his heart that that was never going to change. He had to believe in himself, had to believe in them.

The morning after was a quiet one, Jungkook had noticed that Jimin was tired, and when he asked, Jimin just told him he woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't sleep again until just before their alarm rang, and Jungkook thought that was good enough reason for the bags under Jimin's eyes, when Jimin had actually managed to sleep for just one hour when his eyes had fallen shut without his permission.

That was all they managed to talk about after they had woken up until they rode their car, and just as the car stopped, and they had to get out, Jungkook stopped Jimin's hand from opening the door. "Hey." Jungkook called softly, turning Jimin's hand to hold it in his.

Jimin smiled sleepily. "Hey."

"I just- I wanted to tell you something." Jungkook hesitated, and Jimin nodded for him to go on, turning his whole body to face him, an indication of him giving Jungkook his undivided attention, so Jungkook went on. "Whatever happens today, I don't care. As long as we go home together, fall asleep together, and wake up together, I don't care, alright? Don't push yourself to do something you're not comfortable doing. Don't go too hard on yourself, okay, baby?" He tilted his head, waiting for Jimin to promise him that he won't be too hard on himself.

Jimin nodded, the smile still on his face. "I love you." He replied instead, the words on the tip of his tongue since the night before.

Jungkook's smile was almost as bright as the sun that was yet to rise, and Jimin's heart dropped in relief. "I love you." Jungkook whispered, raising Jimin's hand to his lips and kissing his knuckles, looking into Jimin's eyes after, like they had all the time in the world.

Catching Jungkook's eyes flickering down from his eyes, Jimin smiled cheekily, pulling on Jungkook's hand. "Kiss me." He dared to ask, not even checking if the driver had left the car or not, but he was sure he heard a door open and close, and even if he wasn't sure, Jimin just wanted to give Jungkook one final kiss before they had to start their long day. He didn't know if it would be a good day or a bad one, all he knew was that it was going to be long for him no matter what.

"Wait! Real-"

Jimin rolled his eyes, before pulling again on Jungkook's hand, this time harder, so Jungkook's head fell into Jimin's with their lips meeting at just the right angle, and Jungkook tried to stop his lips from spreading into a smile just so he could kiss his boyfriend properly, but he couldn't contain the excitement of Jimin not just initiating an interaction, but a whole kiss in their car where the only thing that shielded them was the tinted windows. The last time they had dared to do that was before Jimin flew to Busan without Jungkook, and it was still at the beginning of their relationship where they didn't yet think of the gravity of their relationship and what it meant in the long run, what it meant to their careers.

"Today's gonna be a good day." Jungkook said as soon as they pulled away, making Jimin smile again, and reach for the door handle once again to finally get out of the car, Jungkook following suit. "I gotta feeling, that tonight is gonna be a good night." Jungkook sang, walking beside Jimin to the company doors.

Jimin laughed. "Jungkookie, it's literally five am, and you're singing?"

Jungkook shrugged, continuing to sing, before turning to Jimin. "You can't blame me. I'm a man in love." He wiggled his eyebrows.

Feeling his neck and ears getting warm, Jimin was sure they were red. "Really." He muttered quietly, shaking his head with another laugh.

The first part of their morning was spent separately. The group was split into subunits, and Jimin and Jungkook didn't have the luck to be in the same one, so they went their separate ways after a wave and intense eye contact.

When they met again, it was at the company, working on some songs Namjoon wanted to test out, so he had the vocal line in his studio, along with their vocal coach, testing out some melodies, only then did Jimin try what Yoongi adviced him to do, so he stuck by Jungkook, taking the chance to sit right next to him, and looking at him when he wasn't. It hadn't gone unnoticed by Jungkook though, because he himself was doing the same thing, so it was no wonder that every time Jungkook looked up from the paper in his hand when he was singing, and looked at Jimin, he found Jimin already looking at him intently.

"Hey, hyung!" Jungkook called out to Namjoon, and just about everyone had looked at Jungkook, until they realised he was calling to Namjoon, Jimin included, so they went back to what they were doing, except for Namjoon who was waiting for Jungkook to tell him what he needed, and Jimin, who was just curious, or maybe just in love.

"Yes, Jungkook-ah." Namjoon replied, looking at Jungkook from the top of his glasses.

"I've had this idea for a song for a while now." Jungkook shyly proposed, already feeling Jimin's gaze burning into his back, and it didn't exactly help when the song was obviously about the man himself.

"Oh! Jungkook!" Namjoon hyped Jungkook up loudly. "You feeling inspired, huh?" He teased.

"Hyung!" Jungkook whisper shouted, his eyes going a little wide. "Please, just- let's do this as quiet as we can." He pulled a seat right next to Namjoon and plopped down, and Jimin's mouth fell open, his mind racing with what Jungkook wanted to plan secretly.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Is the song about Jiminie?" Namjoon whispered, leaning towards Jungkook so he could hear him.

When Jungkook said nothing, and instead reached for his small notebook in his sweatshirt pocket, Jimin narrowed his eyes, and almost went over to stand between Jungkook and Namjoon to see what they were discussing.

After seeing Jungkook's ears turning red, Namjoon smiled softly at the realization. "First time, huh?" He whispered again.

Jungkook turned to Namjoon, pausing the search for the page he was looking for. "First time?" He frowned.

"Writing a love song."

"Well," Jungkook started. "Technically, it's not the first time to write one, but it's the first time writing it for someone I'm actually in love with, you know?" He explained, still trying to be as quiet as he could, because he knew Jimin would most likely be paying close attention.

Jimin was paying attention. He was, until he caught Taehyung's eyes, and he realised that he wasn't the only one paying close attention to Jungkook and Namjoon. Taehyung's eyes kept flickering between the pair working on the song, and then to Jimin, and when he looked at Jimin, his eyes shined with disappointment, and something else akin to mischief, something that Jimin was afraid he was going to find out soon.

"Alright, lover boy. Just don't be surprised if this turns into a whole concept album." Namjoon half joked, taking the notebook from Jungkook's hands when he turned it to him, his eyes skimming over the words, trying to point out the theme. "This is good." He said, no longer whispering.

"Hyung." Jungkook whisper shouted.

"Oh, sorry. This is really good, Jungkook-ah. I have a few remarks though." Namjoon went back to whispering, both of their backs still to the whole room.

"Yeah, sure, hyung."

Jimin's eyes went to Namjoon and Jungkook again when he heard Namjoon comment on something Jungkook showed him, and then his eyes went to Taehyung once again, only to find him already looking at him with complacency, that only pushed Jimin to leave the room all together.

His legs took him out of the room, and down the stairs. His mind full to the brim with all the things Jungkook kept doing for him, feeling for him, and all Jimin did was deflect. He felt like all he did was turn away. All he did was take a step back when Jungkook kept stepping forward.

Jimin's mind kept torturing him with the image of the look Taehyung kept giving him, because instead of him being hurt at the weird way his best friend was helping and supporting him, he felt disappointed in himself too, just as Taehyung was, and just as Jimin feared Jungkook might be.

He didn't realise where his feet were taking him until he stopped in front of Jungkook's studio door, and he simply punched in the code with a laugh, going in and throwing himself on the couch, his mind still going one hundred mile a minute.

Jimin knew he had to get it together. He thought about the younger version of himself, who kept pinning for the younger Jungkook, and he knew that even that Jimin would be disappointed with what he was doing right now.

He felt stupid taking the relationship he was dreaming of for years for granted, but as he kept thinking that lowly of himself, he remembered Jungkook's words from that morning.

Don't go too hard on yourself.

Taking a deep breath, Jimin sat up, and crossed his legs, and tried to calm his thoughts down, taking each thought and trying to find any logic to it.

It took a while, until Jimin found the simple solution.

He's good to me.

He cares.

He's writing a song for me.

He loves me.

What am I doing?

"Taehyung-ah."

Snapping up his head, Taehyung looked at Yoongi, who had sat beside him quietly enough that he didn't notice. Taehyung was sitting on the couch scrolling through a webtoon he was hooked on, until he had to get up and continue his photoshoot, but as it turned out he wouldn't be able to continue reading. "Yeah, hyung." He replied, locking his phone, and setting it aside.

"What are you planning?" Yoongi asked directly, giving Taehyung a blank look, one that told Taehyung that he wouldn't be judgemental, but just disappointed if anything.

Taehyung looked away, fighting the urge to roll his eyes. "I'm not telling you." He replied simply.

"Yah! I'm your hyung, have some respect!" Yoongi scolded, even though he had expected Taehyung not to open up so easily.

"Sorry, hyung, but if I tell you, you're gonna stop me from doing it."

"And what does that tell you? Doesn't that mean that what you're gonna do is wrong?!" Yoongi argued, trying to catch Taehyung's eyes. "Look at me when I'm talking to you!" He warned, holding Taehyung's chin to turn his head to him gently.

"It's not wrong if it's helping Jiminie, hyung." Taehyung retorted, giving Yoongi a tired look.

"And if it hurts him? How're you gonna deal with that? You wanna hurt someone who's practically your brother? You don't think hurting Jimin is gonna hurt you?" Yoongi asked, trying to scare Taehyung out of doing what was on his mind.

"I'm not gonna hurt him." Taehyung replied quite childishly, already feeling like he was lying to himself.

"Taehyung-ah." Yoongi called softly, fighting the urge to grit his teeth in annoyance. "You're gonna regret it. I know it, and I don't want you to feel that way." He tried again, feeling like there was no way for him to convince Taehyung. Even though Yoongi had no idea what Taehyung's plan was, he didn't have a very good feeling about it. All he knew was that Taehyung was gonna remind Jimin how to treat his own boyfriend, which sounded really absurd and very out of line for Taehyung to say to Jimin, and to Yoongi, it looked like the pair needed to establish new boundaries after Jimin got into a relationship. There had to be a few things that should be out of Taehyung's control, one of them had to be this.

"Hyung, I'm not doing anything reckless don't worry." Taehyung assured, albeit weakly.

"Yeah, I don't believe you." Yoongi sighed. "Just don't kiss Jungkook." He joked, patting Taehyung's thigh, and getting up.

"No promises. Our maknae is cute." Taehyung joked back.

"Hell yeah, I am." Jungkook walked into the break room, looking for a phone charger, and flipping his short hair.

Yoongi and Taehyung laughed, masking their worry of Jungkook hearing their whole conversation, because they knew if he did, they wouldn't hear the end of it, and even though Jungkook was the youngest, he was very relentless when he was angry, nevertheless when it had to do with Jimin.

"Alright, I'm out of here. No cuddles for you tonight." Yoongi got up with a sigh.

"You're only gonna punish yourself. I know you like it, hyung." Taehyung flirted, looking at Yoongi in the eye, unblinking.

"Uh, this brat." Yoongi shook his head, waving Taehyung off and walking out of the room, and to the dressing room.

Jungkook was still standing there, charger in hand, his mouth wide open at what he just saw, and after Taehyung had watched Yoongi walk out of the room, he looked back at Jungkook, who pointed to the door and then to Taehyung. "Are-"

"What? No!" Taehyung laughed.

"I haven't said anything yet though." Jungkook pointed out smartly, plugging his phone in the charger and taking a seat beside Taehyung on the couch, where Yoongi was a minute ago.

"I know what you're gonna say. Your boyfriend already suggested it." Taehyung told, pushing Jungkook so he was sitting at the far end of the couch, and then he lied down, resting his head on Jungkook's thigh and looking up at the ceiling.

"But nothing is going on?" Jungkook asked, occupying his hand by running his fingers through Taehyung's hair, and then raising his hand to smell it. "Uh! Hyung! Don't you wash your hair?" He yelled in disgust, making Taehyung laugh, so he wiped his hand on Taehyung's shirt.

"Don't ruin the outfit! I'm not done with my pictures!" Taehyung scolded.

"That's cause you're a lazy bum. Get up then!" Jungkook scoffed, pushing Taehyung's shoulder playfully.

"No." Taehyung laughed again. "And to answer your question, no. Nothing is going on. We just cuddle at night, and we've gotten really close. Don't forget you stole my cuddle buddy from me!" Taehyung reminded, reaching his hand back to slap anywhere on Jungkook he could reach, which happened to be his neck.

"Yah! What's happening here?"

Jimin walked into the room, in his own fancy outfit, his hair and makeup just done, and he was greeted with Taehyung laying his head on Jungkook's lap, and the latter's hand in Taehyung's hair.

Taehyung turned his head to the door, looking at Jimin's angry expression that he rarely saw. "What? I'm tired, might even take a nap here." He pressed, knowing he was playing with fire, but finding Jimin's reactions quite funny.

Jungkook laughed. "No way, hyung. Get up. Your hair smells!" He complained, raising his hand to his nose again, and pretending to gag.

Taehyung raised his head to look at Jungkook. "You flatter me." He batted his eyelashes, knowing Jimin was seconds away from physically forcing Taehyung to get away from Jungkook. "And it's the spray by the way." He defended.

Laughing again, Jungkook wiped his hand on the couch this time. "No, it's not." He shook his head.

Just about seething, Jimin pulled on some wipes from the table in the corner, and walked up to Jungkook, pulled his hand up and started to wipe on his hand furiously. "Oh, someone's jealous!" Taehyung sang out, feeling giddy he had achieved his goal, even if he felt like pressing harder.

Jungkook frowned, looking at Taehyung, and then at Jimin, who was still wiping his hand, and then taking the other one to do the same. He couldn't understand why Jimin would be jealous, because it was Taehyung of all people. It wasn't like Taehyung was trying to steal him away from Jimin, but then he remembered what Jimin told him about his and Taehyung's small fight, and he got even more confused. "Baby, it's alright. I didn't even use that hand." Jungkook mumbled, looking at Jimin in confusion still.

"I'm not jealous!" Jimin snapped, throwing the now dry tissue on the ground angrily.

"Sure you're not." Taehyung said with an eyeroll, a ghost of a smile on his face, he then sat up, but didn't leave the couch, instead he sat right next to Jungkook, leaving no space for Jimin to sit beside his own boyfriend, hoping his second goal would be achieved.

"Hey." Jungkook called softly, taking Jimin's hand in his. "Jiminie, what's wrong?" He asked, gently pulling on Jimin's hand, so he was standing directly in front of him.

Jimin's whole body slightly shook with what was left of his anger, Jungkook's touch anchoring him. "Nothing." He muttered quietly.

"That's not nothing, darling. Tell me what's wrong." Jungkook tried again, and even though Taehyung's heart softened at Jungkook's words, he glanced at the clock on the wall, his small break was about to end, and he still had to get Jimin to do one more thing before he had to leave the room.

"I-I don't know." Jimin said, trying not to make eye contact with either Taehyung or Jungkook, and looking around the room.

"Jimin." Jungkook called, tugging on Jimin's hand, until Jimin instinctively looked at Jungkook even though he was trying not to.

Not even trying to fight the urge, Jimin easily climbed into Jungkook's lap, taking him by surprise, and burying his head in Jungkook's neck.

Trying not to be obvious, Taehyung quietly fist bumped the air, and walked out of the room without the couple noticing, and once he was out in the hallway, he found Yoongi casually leaning on the wall and scrolling through his phone. "Hyung! Hyung! I did it!" He jumped up and down, not containing his excitement.

Yoongi pushed his phone into his pocket. "Yes, you idiot I saw." He said with a sigh, wrapping his arm around Taehyung's shoulder and walking him to the studio he had to be in.

"So, you're not gonna tell me what's wrong?" Jungkook asked, wrapping his arms around Jimin and pulling him closer, cherishing the moment he knew wouldn't happen again anytime soon.

With his head still buried in the space between Jungkook's neck and shoulder, Jimin shook his head, not knowing what to say other than that he was angry Jungkook was giving his attention to someone else but him, or that Jungkook had someone else laying on his lap, or that someone else was making him laugh, even if that someone was his own soulmate and best friend. Jimin couldn't say all of that, even if Jungkook already knew.

"Hmm, okay." Jungkook nodded, rubbing Jimin's back. "You know it's okay to be jealous sometimes, especially if you end up in my lap every time. I don't mind." Jungkook teased, indirectly reminding Jimin of the position they were in, in case Jimin's mind hadn't caught up to him yet. Jungkook didn't want Jimin to regret doing it, so it was better for him to remind Jimin so he would stop if he wanted to.

"Really?" Jimin leaned away to look at Jungkook properly.

Jungkook nodded, looking at Jimin's lips. "Y-You have something-" He pointed to his own lips, trying to tell Jimin his lipstick was smudged.

Jimin tilted his head. "Huh?"

"Let me just," Jungkook trailed off, rubbing his thumb under Jimin's lips, to fix the red smearing. "Is there any on my neck?" He asked, turning his head to expose his neck to Jimin.

"Oh, yeah. Just a little." Jimin pointed at the red spot on Jungkook's neck, as if the younger could see it, and then he rubbed Jungkook's neck to wipe it off. "Now your neck is all red." Jimin laughed, pulling away to look at Jungkook's neck clearly, not noticing Jungkook looking at him, unblinking. "Where did those wipes go?" Jimin asked out loud, turning around and trying to find the wipes, until he spotted them on the table. "There they are!" He exclaimed, moving to get up from Jungkook's lap, only to be pulled back again.

"No! Please stay." Jungkook pouted, holding Jimin's waist firmly.

Jimin laughed. "Really, Jungkook-ah."

It was Jungkook's turn to rest his head on Jimin's shoulder. "I'm sorry. I know you're probably not comfortable with this, but I've really missed you all morning, and then you got jealous, and sat on my lap all of a sudden, so now you're not getting away that easily." Jungkook explained, shaking his head at the end to emphasize.

"Aw, Kookie." Jimin awed, brushing through Jungkook's hair, because that was all he could see of Jungkook's head. "I feel okay though, I don't know what came over me, but when I saw- that, I realised what I'm taking for granted. You're right there for me to grab, and I'm just staring from a far. It's like I'm- I'm denying myself you? Does that make sense?"

Jungkook nodded. "Yeah, it does. It's okay though." He sighed, leaning his bodyweight on Jimin.

"No, it's not."

"Yes, it is."

"Jungkookie, I'm your hyung, and if I say it's not, then you're gonna shut it and listen." Jimin scolded. "It's not ideal, and it's not okay. We're boyfriends, and we shouldn't hold back from each other. I know I need to make it right, and I will. I know I've been disappointing you, but I'm going to fix it. Hyung is gonna fix it, okay?"

Jungkook finally leaned back. "Well, you seem to like pulling the hyung card, huh?" He raised an eyebrow. "Okay, hyung. I won't argue. I'm gonna tell you one thing though, you have not, and you will never disappoint me." He said, turning to the left with Jimin still in his lap, and laying him down on the couch, his back hitting the cushions gently. "Now, hyung," Jungkook hovered over Jimin, still trapped in the hold Jimin's legs had on him. "How far can you go?"

"What?" Jimin breathed out, still processing their new position.

"Anyone can come through that door. So, what are you gonna do?" Jungkook provoked, holding himself up with his hands on either side of Jimin's head.

"I- It's quite a compromising position." Jimin pointed out, internally freaking out.

"And?" Jungkook pressed.

"And?" Jimin echoed confusedly.

"What are you gonna do?" Jungkook asked again, holding himself back and keeping his face away from Jimin's.

Let him come to you.

Jungkook decided to use Namjoon's advice, starting to lean back when Jimin had went quiet and his eyes had started to flicker to the door fearfully. "Ah, hyung. I think you need to go to your photoshoot, right?" He reminded, keeping his voice steady, even if the feeling of rejection hurt every time.

"No, no, wait!" Jimin scrambled for Jungkook when the younger broke free from Jimin, until he could grip Jungkook's sweatshirt, trying to pull him back again.

Jungkook put his hand on top of Jimin's, and then leaned down to place a kiss on Jimin's forehead. "It's alright, hyung." He whispered, gently pulling Jimin's hand off his sweatshirt, taking his phone from the charger, and leaving the room.

With a frustrated grunt, Jimin pulled one of the mini pillows off the couch and threw it accross the room. "Ugh!" He groaned, hunching over, and covering his face, his hands shaking.

If his makeup was all ruined because of the few angry tears he let out, no one had to know. All that mattered to him was how angry he was at himself at the moment, and how he had ruined another moment with his boyfriend just after he had told him that he would get better.

So, with a determined heart, Jimin left the room, makeup smudged and all, with a few tears still escaping, looking for that one person, but not before grabbing the attention of a lot of staff members calling out to Jimin's manager when they saw the state he was in, so Jimin quickened his pace, looking around him for that face, and coming up empty handed.

Running down the stairs and not bothering with the elevator, Jimin started to call under his breath.

"Jungkook. Jungkook. Jungkook."

Just as he took a right down the hallway, he heard his voice talking to someone, and that only pushed him to start scampering in that direction.

Once Jungkook had come into view, Jimin swooped in, not even checking to see who he was talking to. "Excuse me." He muttered apologetically, taking Jungkook's hand in his and striding in the direction of Jungkook's studio.

Jungkook frowned, turning his head to the choreographer, and bowing his head as much as he could, and then turning to look at Jimin, to find his eye makeup all smeared. "Hyung? Are you okay? Did something happen?" He asked worriedly just as they had reached the door, and Jimin punched the code in.

Jimin pushed the door open, before pushing Jungkook inside, a little aggressively. "Stop calling me hyung god damn it!" He yelled, knowing he was safe to because the room was sound proof.

Trying hard not to smile in triumph, Jungkook's lips twitched. "What do I call you then, Jimin hyung?" He crossed his arms.

"Well, I don't know, but you seem to like calling me baby all the time, so why not try that?!" Jimin continued to yell, watching Jungkook take a seat on the same couch he had unintentionally taken a nap on two hours ago.

"Ah, too bad you told me to stop calling you that." Jungkook retorted, giving Jimin a pointed look.

Jimin deflated, realising he had set a trap up for himself in one moment -out of many- of panic. "I-I-"

Jungkook sighed, getting up from the couch. "I know, I know." He comforted, pulling Jimin into a hug. "Why is your makeup all ruined, baby?" He asked softly, stroking Jimin's hair.

Suddenly, the floodgates were open, and Jimin cried like he had never before in his life.

Jungkook was alarmed to hear Jimin cry with that much anguish, not knowing what to do but hold Jimin tight as he let it all out.

"Did someone say something to upset you?" Jungkook frowned, looking for anyone to blame his boyfriend's tears on, just so he could smash their face in. "Can you talk, baby?" He asked, only for Jimin to shake his head, his sobs not relenting.

Still not knowing what to do, Jungkook looked around the room, trying to pull himself together and think of something to get Jimin to stop crying, and rubbing his back.

"It's okay, let it all out." He continued to comfort. "I know it's been so hard on you, baby. You've been working so hard, I know, I know." He assured. "You've been trying hard. Don't think I haven't noticed."

Jimin continued to cry, his feelings getting the best of him. All his pent up stress rising up and out of his body in the form of broken sobs, and the worst part was, he didn't know how to stop it, every time he tried to stop crying, he would remember the reason he was crying in the first place, and then he would start to cry all over again.

Ever since he had stumbled across these accounts on Twitter, everyday Jimin would wake up with the feeling of someone watching over him, and scrutinizing him, and everyday Jimin would try to brush the feeling off, only to feel it increasing tenfold when he left the dorm with Jungkook, and that was what he feared even more, and what was the cause of Jimin's unrelenting cries.

Jungkook began to get really worried when ten minutes went by, and Jimin was still crying just as hard if not more. "Baby, I'm worried. Do I need to get someone?" He asked, concern lacing his voice, trying not to cry himself.

Jimin shook his head, his hands clutching at Jungkook's sweatshirt.

"Do you need me to get you some water? It'll only be a min-"

"N-No." Jimin managed to let out, coughing after, his sobs interrupting his breathing, he kept breathing in rapidly, and not managing to breathe out, which increased Jungkook's panic.

"Hey, hey. Breathe with me a-alright?" Jungkook guided, taking a deep breath in, and letting it out, and Jimin tried to do the same when his body had gone into full panic mode, looking around the room, only to find his vision blurred. "Jimin. Jimin! Look at me." Jungkook's throat went dry with fear, and Jimin turned to Jungkook again, trying to focus on his eyes, it was the only thing that wasn't actually blurred. "Is this an anxiety attack?" He asked, just now coming to the realisation, his eyes going wide.

"I th-think-" A dry sob interrupted Jimin again, so he just nodded.

"It's alright, it's alright. That's okay. Let me just-" Jungkook tried to assure himself more than Jimin, and started to take Jimin's jacket off for him, and when he was done, he threw it by the door, and started to unbutton Jimin's shirt too. "You need to breathe. Come here." He pulled Jimin to the couch, right after he had thrown the shirt too by the door.

"J-Jungkoo-" A series of coughs interrupted Jimin again. He wasn't crying anymore, but letting out dry sobs that he couldn't stop.

"Yes, I'm here. I'm here." Jungkook took a seat beside Jimin, holding his shoulders firmly, but giving him the space to breathe.

"H-Home. I w-wanna go h-home, please, p-please." Jimin's eyes filled with tears again, which made Jungkook panic more, it didn't seem like Jimin was going to get better anytime soon.

"I'll take you home, baby, but you'll have to breathe with me, okay? Can you do that? Don't talk, just shake your head or nod."

Jimin nodded, so Jungkook moved closer, until they were sitting in front of each other, and Jungkook could rest his forehead on Jimin's.

"Alright, do it with me." He took a deep breath in, Jimin following, trapping the sobs that stopped him from breathing properly inside. "In, hold it, and let go." Both of them breathed out together, and Jimin tried really hard for Jungkook, until they had counted to ten, and Jimin could almost breathe properly again. "You're so good, baby. You did so good." Jungkook praised, smiling at Jimin.

"I wanna go home n-now." Jimin reminded, and then he realised he was shirtless when he looked down at himself.

"Wait. Here." Jungkook said, taking off the sweatshirt he was wearing on top of his t-shirt. "I'm sorry, it's a little dirty I was sweating earlier, so." He tried to explain, until he saw Jimin putting the sweatshirt on, not caring about it possibly being smelly.

"Take me home, Jungkook-ah." Jimin said, his voice hoarse, but giving Jungkook a weak smile nonetheless.

Jungkook reached for the hood of the sweatshirt, and pulled it to cover Jimin's head, it falling over his forehead, almost covering his eyes. "Let's go." He stroked Jimin's cheek, and stood up, taking Jimin's hand in his.

Just as Jungkook was about to open the door, Jimin stopped him, so the younger frowned, waiting for Jimin to elaborate. "No cameras, please, Jungkookie." He asked, his eyes filling with tears once again, panic rising in his throat.

"Hey. Hey." Jungkook called softly, taking a step towards Jimin. "You said no cameras, then there's gonna be no cameras, alright? Not one soul is going to see you, okay? You believe me, right?"

Jimin nodded. "I believe you." He sniffed, trying to pull himself together again.

"Okay, wait here." Jungkook instructed, and opened the door and went out alone, coming back only a minute later. "Alright, I'm gonna carry you and we're gonna run to the elevator farthest down the hallway. No one is out there, and a spare car is parked right by it, I'll just need to get the keys from security." He laid out his plan to Jimin, earning a smile from him when he realised Jungkook had put the part where he was carrying him in the plan for no logical reason.

Once Jimin nodded, Jungkook opened his arms, having his boyfriend jump into them quite easily.

"Hide your face in my neck, just in case." Jimin didn't need to be told twice, and by now he was quite unrecognisable, not an inch of his face could be seen. He closed his eyes, and then Jungkook sprinted down the hallway, and into the elevator he had already called, pressing the garage button. "Half the mission is done." Jungkook declared, making Jimin chuckle weakly, so Jungkook just rubbed his back.

When the elevator stopped, Jungkook walked to the SUV right by the elevator.

"That's the car. Can you wait here for a second until I get the keys?"

"Yeah." Jimin nodded, jumping down, and once his feet had touched the ground, Jungkook ran to the nearest bodyguard to look for the keys, and not even two minutes later Jimin heard the car being unlocked, so he opened the passenger door and hopped in, throwing his head back on the headrest.

Just as Jungkook jumped into the driver seat, his phone rang, so he slammed his door shut and pulled his phone out of his pocket.

"Jungkook! We can't find Jimin! He has a photoshoot, but they're saying they saw him walking around the company with makeup running all over his face, and-" Namjoon rattled off, pacing back and forth in the break room Jimin was in half an hour ago.

"He's with me." Jungkook interrupted. "We're going home, hyung, I'm sorry, but something came up." He explained vaguely, putting his phone between his head and shoulder, and starting the car.

"Jungkook-ah, there better be a good enough reason for you both to do this so suddenly. You had recording and a photoshoot, and an interview! Jimin had a photoshoot that he missed so they had to call me, and he had an interview too. You can't just both disappear like that! This is the last ti-"

"It was an emergency, okay! My boyfriend was crying! What was I supposed to do! I'm sorry, hyung, but when my boyfriend cries and tells me he wants to go home, then I'm taking him the fuck home! See you at the dorm." Jungkook interrupted for the second time, his body in fight or flight mode, the only goal in his mind was to get Jimin home, so he hang up the phone and threw it in the cup holder, racing out of the company parking garage.

"Jungkook-ah, that was no way to talk to your hyung." Jimin said quietly, his head turned to Jungkook who was driving with both hands gripping the steering wheel.

"I don't really care at the moment." Jungkook said, looking back at Jimin when they stopped at a red light.

"Who was on the phone?" Jimin asked, rubbing his eyes tiredly.

"Namjoon hyung." He answered, reaching for the back of his and Jimin's seat, looking for any wipes in the pockets.

"Of course." Jimin sighed. "What are you looking for? Oh, the light is green." He told Jungkook, catching the small package Jungkook threw him. "Oh, thanks. I don't think these are supposed to wipe makeup, but," He shrugged, pulling out a wet tissue, and wiping at his eyes.

Jungkook continued to drive home, and Jimin pulled down the mirror to look at his face when he was done wiping it, to find his face bare of makeup and his eyes and nose red and puffy. "Man, I look like hell."

"You look pretty, hyung." Jungkook denied, not even looking at Jimin to check.

"Oh, you would say that." Jimin scoffed, but smiled nonetheless.

"That's because it's true!" Jungkook defended with a laugh, taking a turn down their street.

Jimin tutted. "Not right now, no." He shook his head.

"You're straight up just lying right now." Jungkook whined, driving into their apartment complex.

Laughing, Jimin rested back, and waited for Jungkook to park the car.

"I'm carrying you up." Jungkook declared, killing the engine.

"Someone is taking advantage." Jimin joked. "You also did it at the company, unnecessarily too may I add. Do you have a carrying fetish or something? Is that why you work out so much? Just tell hyung, there's a fifty percent chance that I won't make fun of you." He continued to tease, watching Jungkook roll his eyes and get out of the car, turning to his side of the car and opening his door.

"Are you done?" Jungkook raised his eyebrows, crossing his arms and blocking Jimin's way to get out of the car.

"Yes." Jimin sighed in defeat, raising his arms up with an eyeroll.

Jungkook leaned down to scoop Jimin up, closing the door, and walking to the elevator. "See? That wasn't so hard."

"What wasn't hard? Being carried? Or you carrying me?" Jimin asked, locking his ankles behind Jungkook's back.

"Carrying you is not hard at all, Jimin-ssi. Don't try me." Jungkook warned, walking into the elevator and pressing their floor button.

"I'm hungry." Jimin said instead.

"Is ramyeon okay with you? Tteokbokki too?" Jungkook suggested, his mind already coming up with what he needed to do once they walked through the door.

Jimin rested his head on Jungkook's shoulder. "Anything is fine honestly."

Jungkook rubbed Jimin's back, walking out of the elevator and unlocking their door, toeing off his shoes with Jimin still in his arms, and turning on the lights. He walked to their room, pulling clothes out of their wardrobe closet. "Jimin-ssi, I'm gonna go make the food, you change and wash up." He ordered, so Jimin freed his hold on Jungkook, taking his clothes, giving his boyfriend a kiss on the cheek before going to the bathroom.

Taking off his loafers, Jimin laughed at the fact that he wore designer clothes, expensive shoes and accessories, had his hair and makeup done, only for it all to be taken off and washed away without taking one picture. He took his suit pants off, and hung them up so they wouldn't get dirty, thinking of his shirt and jacket thrown on the floor of Jungkook's studio, and his phone that he didn't even know where it was.

Once he had taken all of his clothes off, he jumped into the shower, and thought of what had happened less than an hour ago. It was the first time for Jimin to experience something like this. The most nerve wrecking thing Jimin had ever been through was probably his audition, or a difficult performance, or when he kissed his boyfriend accidentally, but never, never had Jimin felt this amount of anxiety ever in his life, and he was scared that it might happen again.

He knew it was because of what was happening lately, and the panic he has felt on the daily now, but he didn't think it would be this bad. Jimin was confused as to why his own body had betrayed him, he thought he could make it all better by trying, but it seemed like trying was so much harder than he thought.

Jimin stood under the water, and continued to think of an explanation, and coming up with none, not even bothering with washing his hair or body, he just continued to stand there and try to understand, until Jungkook interrupted his thought process.

"I knew you'd just stand there and do nothing." Jungkook remarked, gently pushing Jimin from under the shower so he could wet his own hair. "So I thought why not come and wash your hair for you." He shrugged, a mischievous smile on his face.

"Oh, what a noble thing to do, Jungkook-ah. I have raised you right." Jimin said sarcastically, patting Jungkook's now wet hair.

Jungkook leaned towards Jimin. "You did actually." He muttered, his eyes on Jimin, whose eyes were almost closed at Jungkook's close proximity.

Grabbing the shampoo bottle from the shelf behind Jimin, Jungkook squeezed out a generous amount in his hand, rubbing his hands together before raising them to Jimin's hair and gently scratching his scalp, and Jimin almost went putty in his hands.

"You work so hard, hyung. I don't know how you do it, but I don't think you've ever taken a break to breathe." Jungkook whispered, pulling Jimin with him under the water to wash his hair off.

Holding himself back from another crying session, Jimin leaned forward, and wrapped his arms around Jungkook's waist. "I do though, when we travel, it's how I unwind." Jimin provided, feeling Jungkook washing his own hair.

"That doesn't count, we still film when we travel."

Jimin said nothing, not as Jungkook scrubbed both of their bodies, not as Jungkook helped him out of the shower and wrapped a towel around him, instead Jimin continued to think about what Jungkook had said, and how he was probably right, Jimin was most probably burned out. He couldn't find another explanation for what was happening to him, if there was another one, Jimin would be unaware of it, he wasn't a licenced professional to diagnose himself.

"Jimin? Jimin?"

"Huh?" Jimin breathed out, snapping out of his thoughts, holding into the big towel that was around his shoulders.

"I've been calling your name for an hour now. Put your clothes on, and come to the balcony, our ramyeon is gonna get soggy if I don't go now, so be quick, okay?" Jungkook said, running out of the room to the kitchen after he had made sure Jimin heard him.

Jimin hadn't even noticed Jungkook had gotten dressed, he must have been thinking for longer than he should have.

Jungkook went to the kitchen, took the ramyeon and ttoekbokki cups and put them in a tray along with small cups for the soju he took out of the fridge, and with a last minute decision he took out two ice cubes and threw them in their ramyeon so it could cool down, before he walked into the balcony just as Jimin came out of the room in sweatpants and a fuzzy sweater. "Jimin-ssi, put some socks on!" Jungkook scolded, so Jimin turned around, and quickly found a pair to put on, while Jungkook put their food on the little table in the balcony, and dragged the biggest chair he could find inside so they could cuddle.

"Anything else, eomma?" Jimin chuckled, walking into the balcony to find their food laid out with soju bottles. "Did I ever tell you I love you?" He pouted, looking at the bottles and then at Jungkook.

"No, actually." Jungkook said seriously, taking a seat in front of the table, and patting his thighs, motioning for Jimin to sit on his lap.

Taking his seat, Jimin turned to face Jungkook. "Well, I do." He confessed, holding Jungkook's cheek. "You're so good to me." He whispered, leaning the rest of the way to kiss him.

Jungkook leaned into the kiss, hugging Jimin in the process. "Let's eat." He mumbled into his lips, placing one final peck before he pulled back.

"I don't want to anymore." Jimin pouted, curling into Jungkook, and clinging onto his shirt.

"What do you want then?" Jungkook took his cup of tteokbokki, and took a bite.

"You." Jimin looked down at Jungkook, who had his face stuffed with food, and played with his shirt collar.

Jungkook coughed, slamming his hand against his chest so he won't choke on his bite of food.

Jimin rubbed Jungkook's chest, trying not to laugh, still waiting for him to say something.

"Then no soju for you if you're not gonna eat." Jungkook said with finality after he had swallowed, taking another bite and looking anywhere but at Jimin, knowing he was weak for him.

Jimin whined loudly. "Not fair!" He argued, but still took his food and began to eat. "Pour me a cup, dongsaeng!" He ordered with a mouthful of food.

"Finish your ramyeon at least." Jungkook complained, not wanting Jimin to drink on an empty stomach.

Rolling his eyes, Jimin continued to eat in silence, his back resting on the chair arm, so he could face his boyfriend.

"You gonna tell me what happened today?" Jungkook finally said what was on his mind. Even though he had asked it casually; looking at his food instead of Jimin just so he won't pressure him and trying to act calm, he was anything but that. He was worried out of his mind. The image of Jimin with makeup running down his face, the way he couldn't breathe, when he begged him to take him home, Jungkook couldn't erase all of it that easily. He wanted to know the reason, so he could dismantle it until he was sure it wouldn't happen again, even if he himself was the reason for Jimin's anxiety attack, he just needed to know.

Chewing on the last bite of the cup Jimin had in his hand, he showed the cup to Jungkook, so he could pour him soju like he wanted.

Jungkook poured them two glasses, handing Jimin his, before he took his own, throwing his head back, and swallowing it down with a grimace, watching Jimin do the same, minus the grimace part.

"I had an anxiety attack. I think that was it, or a panic attack, I don't really know the difference." Jimin said, taking another plate of food, and eating.

"Was it because of me? When I left you?" Jungkook asked, scared of what Jimin would answer with, busying himself with filling their glasses once again.

"I don't know. I guess that was the final trigger or something, but I don't think that was the reason." Jimin reached for his soju, throwing it back, and looking at the empty glass, trying to arrange his thoughts. "This morning I wanted to make it right- no, last night I wanted to make it right, but then we were separated this morning, so I said once I'd get the chance we would hang out, and I would try you know? try not to freak out all the time, and when I actually had the chance, I found Taehyung laying-" Jimin took a deep breath, and Jungkook silently filled his glass again. "You know I don't actually mind that, but I guess I had an expectation of what I would do when I see you and then I saw that, so my expectations were like, down the drain, and just when I was this close to getting it together, guess what happened?" Jimin gulped down his drink, putting his glass on the table, and taking his plate of food again.

"You freaked out." Jungkook answered, attentively listening to Jimin.

"I freaked out." Jimin nodded. "I was so angry at myself. I wanted to punch a wall, and when you reminded me of how I told you to stop calling me baby, I fully grasped how I'm the problem. It's me standing in the way of my own happiness. If that doesn't sound messed up I don't know what does."

"I'm sorry." Jungkook apologised, his voice full of guilt.

Frowning, Jimin turned to look at Jungkook. "What for?" He asked, putting his food back on the table, and putting his hand on Jungkook's neck, rubbing gently.

"I left you alone. I could have sat with you or something, but instead I left you alone, made you feel like you had done something wrong, a-and I took hyung's advice which is stupid now to think about." Jungkook confessed, looking away from Jimin, feeling remorseful.

"Jungkookie." Jimin called, turning Jungkook's face to him gently, holding his face with both of his hands. "Who was it?" He asked with a laugh, feeling like history was repeating itself, and it'll keep repeating itself until they learned.

"Namjoon hyung." Jungkook mumbled, feeling embarrassed for what he was about to say. "He told me to let you come to me." He admitted in a whisper, pouting over his words.

Jimin laughed loudly. "Did I?" He tilted his head, his hand moving to Jungkook's hair, running his fingers through the wet locks.

Jungkook leaned into Jimin's hand. "No, you freaked out."

"But I sat on your lap." Jimin pointed out, reaching for his bottle of soju, before he took it and adjusted his position so he faced Jungkook completely.

"That's because Taehyung hyung was being clingy, I don't know what for, but where else were you going to sit?" Jungkook voiced out his frustrations, still feeling weird about what happened with Taehyung, feeling like he was missing something.

"Oh." Jimin realised, his mouth agape, and his hand stilled in Jungkook's hair.

"What?" Jungkook wondered, taking the bottle from Jimin, and taking a swig.

"Taehyung! He did this on purpose! That's what he meant! Remember when I told you I had a small fight with Taehyung?" Jimin asked a confused Jungkook, who nodded quickly. "He told me if I forget how to treat my boyfriend, then he was going to show me how to." He explained, taking his bottle back and taking big gulps, then giving it back to Jungkook.

"What the fuck?" Jungkook almost yelled, his eyes darkening. "He did this on purpose?! Who would do that! You had an anxiety attack because Taehyung wanted to show you how to treat me?! How does that make sense! How dare he interfere like that!" Jungkook continued to yell, Jimin trying to calm him down, holding his shoulders down when he tired to get up, what for, he didn't know.

"Baby, calm down. I'm not upset, and it's not like I had an anxiety attack just because of that. Everything was just too much, my body gave up on me. Taehyung has nothing to do with this. It's okay." Jimin assured, his hands rubbing Jungkook's arms so he would calm down.

Jungkook gritted his teeth, his hold on the bottle tightening. "It's not okay, Jiminie. It's not okay to tell a friend something like that when they're stressed out. That's not helping! That's messing up with someone's head even more." He denied, drinking the last of the bottle and putting it somewhere on the ground.

"It's alright though. I'm alright, see?" Jimin held Jungkook's cheeks, looking him in the eye.

"Are you though?" Jungkook asked, his eyes scanning over Jimin's face worriedly.

Jimin said nothing, opting to hug Jungkook instead, feeling him wrapping his arms around him in return, his head disappearing in Jimin's neck.

"I'm not gonna let anything happen to you ever again. I'll let the whole world burn for you if it means you're gonna be okay. I don't care about anything or anyone else." Jungkook confessed what he had held in his heart for Jimin for the longest time now, not scared of anything but Jimin getting hurt again.

"Jungkookie." Jimin called, and Jungkook pulled away so he could look at him. "I love you in the exact same way. I-" When Jimin felt himself about to tear up, he rolled his eyes, swallowing the lump in his throat. "I don't want you to think I don't just because I-"

"I know." Jungkook nodded, his hands going to Jimin's neck. "I know, baby. I never doubt that for one second, but let's do something a-alright?" He leaned his forehead on Jimin's, overcome with emotions.

"Yeah, anything." Jimin nodded, trying not to lean in the rest of the way to Jungkook's lips, so he just opted for tracing them with his finger. "What is it?" He whispered.

"Unless you can't tell me, or if it's really necessary, let's not let our friends interfere with our relationship again."

Jungkook knew he was asking for too much, both on Jimin's end and his. Not having the support system to talk about their relationship with someone else might be a huge transition from what they had now. It meant that Jungkook wouldn't have someone to talk to about his fears in a relationship, whether that was Namjoon or Jin, Jungkook wouldn't have that anymore. It also meant that Jimin wouldn't have the safety of him and Taehyung's balcony talks anymore, but on the other side of the spectrum, it meant that Jimin and Jungkook would need to communicate more, they would have to talk to each other if they wanted to talk about their relationship, and it meant that it would stop the miscommunications and misunderstandings. It meant that whenever Jimin or Jungkook needed advice, they would have to give it to themselves, based on their own judgement, and on what they had went through with each other right until that moment, and Jungkook felt like that was the right decision to make.

Jimin, having already thought about that once Jungkook had told him what Namjoon told him to do, started to think of what it meant for him and Taehyung, and if Taehyung was really wrong for what he did. He didn't think that he was completely wrong, but he wasn't right either. Taehyung had given Jimin the push to interact with Jungkook like he wanted, but wasn't there a chance that Jimin might have done that without Taehyung interfering, and on the contrary, did that prevent Jimin from freaking out later? Jimin knew deep down that what Taehyung did was pointless, so maybe Jungkook is right for not wanting anyone to get between them in the relationship anymore, because as far as he knew, a relationship was only between the people in it, not the people outside stating their opinions without having to face the consequences. Jimin felt like a hypocrite when he thought of that last part, wasn't he doing the exact same thing that got them here? Letting opinions of people outside of their relationship affect it?

"Yeah, you're right." Jimin breathed out.

"You have to really believe it so we can do it. We can't make a decision where one of us is not one hundred percent in it. If you're not really sure, it's okay. I know talking to Taehyung helps you, but-but after what happened today, I'm not so sure, and me talking to hyung didn't really do us any good either." Jungkook explained gently, not wanting to pressure Jimin. He knew he had had a long day, and the last thing he wanted was to make it worse for Jimin.

"No. I actually thought about it already, when you told me about Namjoon hyung." Jimin assured, a soft smile painting his face. "You know what?"

Smiling back, Jungkook brushed back a strand of hair that got in Jimin's eye. "What?" He said, tone soft.

"This has happened before." Jimin laughed.

"What? What happened before?" Jungkook asked curiously, laughing with Jimin, even if he didn't get what was funny.

"Before we started dating. Remember how I was talking to Taehyung and Yoongi hyung about you a lot? We had these plans so you could notice me, but then you locked yourself up in your room for a week, so I told them that I won't talk to them about you anymore, and they respected that. I realised then that it was doing more harm than good, and we weren't even in a relationship yet, and look what happened, so it's really not a good idea to do it when we're actually in one." Jimin explained, his fingers tracing mindless patterns over Jungkook's collarbones.

"Plans?! So I could notice you?" Jungkook laughed, his hands moving to grip Jimin's waist, who squealed, but had nowhere to run to when Jungkook was holding him like that.

Jungkook stood up, and Jimin's legs automatically tightened around his waist. "Jungkook-ah!" He laughed, holding into Jungkook's shoulders for dear life.

"I can't believe it! Plans so I could notice you?! You crazy, hyung? I notice no one but you. I have eyes only for you. These pair of eyes work just so I could look at you. I'm always watching you, Jimin-ssi." Jungkook yelled, making Jimin laugh even harder. "Plans to notice you?! Plans to notice you!" Jungkook shook his head incredulously, and then, out of nowhere, he started to spin them in place, Jimin laughing and yelling for him to stop.

"Jungkook-ah, not again! We just drank! I don't wanna throw up. Stop!" Jimin yelled, still laughing.

"I'm not stopping. Plans to notice you, you say?" Jungkook continued to spin around, being responsible enough to do it by the balcony door and not the railing.

"I swear if you don't stop I'm gonna do something really really bad, Jungkook-ah!" Jimin threatened with a laugh, so Jungkook didn't take him seriously.

"I'd like to see you try." That was all Jimin needed to hear from Jungkook to lean down and nuzzle into his neck, planting a few playful kisses there, before he started to nip at his neck gently at first, and then adding pressure so he could leave a mark.

Jungkook had long ago stopped spinning them around. He had stopped right after he felt Jimin kiss his neck, so he slowly went to sit back in the chair, before his knees could have the chance to give up on him.

Jimin continued to work on the small mark, one of his hands on the other side of Jungkook's neck, and the other on his waist. Blowing a little to lessen the burn, Jimin started to nibble at the same spot again, and once he was satisfied, he planted a kiss there, and pulled away.

"Oh, you stopped spinning." Jimin said innocently, like he hadn't just given his boyfriend a hickey.

"Jimin-ssi." Jungkook called in a warning, his voice rough.

"Yes?" Jimin smiled, still acting innocent.

"You have to take responsibility for this." Jungkook pulled Jimin by his sweater collar, as if he had any power over Jimin, when he knew he was always weak for him.

"What do you want me to do?" Jimin asked, batting his eyelashes, his right hand slipping underneath Jungkook's t-shirt.

Jungkook groaned. "Tell army, hyung, so they know I'm not cheating on them." He almost chocked out, resisting the urge to reach for that second bottle of soju.

"Oh? But you are cheating though?" Jimin tilted his head.

"Ugh!" Jungkook groaned, easily lifting Jimin up after he was standing, throwing him over shoulder, and walking out of the balcony and to their room.

Laughing, Jimin yelled out. "I swear you have a carrying fetish!"

Jungkook was laying beside Jimin, who was already asleep for a few hours now. Still, Jungkook couldn't sleep. He just laid there, watching Jimin breathe in and out, his hand grasping Jungkook's even in his sleep, and Jungkook still couldn't shake all his worry away, he still couldn't get what happened out of his head. The first person he blamed was himself. He thought maybe if he had treated the situation in a gentler way, maybe they wouldn't be here, maybe if he hadn't left the room, Jimin wouldn't panic more, maybe if he hadn't reminded Jimin of how he had told him to stop calling him with terms of endearment, Jimin wouldn't have an anxiety attack, and maybe, maybe if Taehyung hadn't scared Jimin into interacting with him, they wouldn't be here.

His mind was filled with a lot of maybes and what ifs, but the worst of them was that maybe they shouldn't have come out to the company, maybe they shouldn't have started dating in the first place, maybe Jungkook should have just kept to himself and continued to love Jimin from a far, because when it came to Jimin's well being, Jungkook was ready to throw everything away, even if it meant throwing his own happiness away. Nothing ever came before or after Jimin.

Jungkook's thoughts were finally interrupted a little before midnight when he heard someone slamming the dorm room shut, so he wiped his face of any tears, put on his sweatpants and shirt, and went out of the room after he had gently pried his hand away from Jimin's hold, hoping the person he would run into would be Jin.

He slowly closed the door behind him, making sure not to make any noise, and made his way to Jin's room, knocking a couple of times before he twisted the door knob, and making his way inside.

"Why are you knocking if you're just gonna barge in anyway you bra- wait, what's wrong?" Jin stopped his scolding as soon as he saw Jungkook's face. It didn't look like anything was wrong with him to the average person, but to Jin, it was a different story, given how Jin practically raised him, so even the slightest change in his appearance was pretty obvious to Jin. "Did you cry? Hey, hey." Jin rushed out when Jungkook suddenly began to cry before even saying anything, he was keeping himself together right until that moment for Jimin, because one of them needed to be strong for the other, and if Jungkook wanted to take care of Jimin, he had to be even minded, so he had kept it together until Jimin had fallen asleep, but now it all came tumbling out.

"Hyung." Jungkook cried, and Jin rushed over to hug him.

"Tell me what's wrong. Are you hurt? Is Jimin okay?" Jin asked, rubbing Jungkook's back when he felt him sob. "Yah! Tell me why you're crying."

"I-It's J-Jimin, hyung. He-" Jungkook pointed in the general direction of their room, pulling away from Jin, and stubbornly wiping his tears that just kept on falling.

"Is he okay?!" Jin moved to get out of the room, thinking that something was wrong with Jimin.

"No. No." Jungkook pulled on Jin's sweater, shaking his head. "He's alright. O-Or, I don't know, but he's physically okay I mean." Jungkook assured, wiping the last of his tears. "Sorry for worrying you, hyung. I've just been keeping it in for the whole day. I didn't want to cry in front of him." He explained, still standing by the door.

"Oh." Jin sighed, going back to what he was doing before Jungkook had come in, which was sorting through his bag to find favourite slippers. "Come sit then and tell hyung what's wrong."

Jungkook went to sit on the bed, Jin sitting beside him seconds after. "We just agreed that we won't talk about our relationship with anyone again, but this is pretty serious, and I don't think it has to do with our relationship, or it might? I don't know." Jungkook groaned, his hands covering his face.

"What's pretty serious? Is he sick?" Jin asked worriedly, his eyes going wide.

"No, hyung!" Jungkook denied, just the thought scaring him. "He-" He raised his head, and took a deep breath. "He had an anxiety attack today. It was pretty bad, he couldn't breathe, and-and he was scared of cameras? I think. Before we left the company he almost cried again just at the thought of being filmed. I don't know what's happening, hyung. Maybe we shouldn't have told the company? I don't know what to do." He explained, feeling lost.

"Is that why you both left early?"

"Yeah." Jungkook nodded, cracking his knuckles nervously.

"I'm not gonna tell you if the decision to come out was right or wrong. You can't think of something you can't control. You need to think of how to move from this point forward. If Jiminie doesn't like being around cameras, he could take a break for his mental health, or maybe his manager can arrange his schedule so he could be around cameras for as little time as possible, maybe he should see a professional in case something like the anxiety attack happens again." Jin told calmly, even if his heart broke for Jimin and Jungkook.

"You think he should seek professional help?" Jungkook frowned.

"Yeah, an anxiety attack shouldn't be taken lightly, and something like having a fear of cameras might be a lot more serious than we think." Jin didn't mean to scare Jungkook, but he had to draw his attention to it.

"Would he get better if-" Jungkook's words died in his throat. "If we-" He croaked out, Jin interrupting him.

"No, Jungkook. I think you breaking up would just make things worse." Jin warned, refraining from slapping Jungkook across the head.

"I'm not going to do it, but if it's the right thing to do-"

"It's not! So stop with these crazy thoughts. All you need to do is be with Jimin, and that's it. Support him through the hard times, and maybe suggest that he sees someone, and like you guys agreed, stop bringing people into your relationship, and start talking to each other, and not about each other." Jin patted Jungkook on the shoulder gently, giving him a small smile.

Just as Jungkook was about to thank Jin, they heard someone knock on the door. "Seokjin-ah." Namjoon called, waiting for Jin to tell him to come in, and Jungkook looked around the room, fiddling with the hem of his shirt, remembering the way he had spoken to him on the phone.

"Come in, Joon-ah!"

Namjoon walked into the room, finding Jungkook on the bed beside Jin. "Oh." He let out awkwardly, not knowing how to act around Jungkook. He couldn't scold him because Jungkook actually had an excuse, and Namjoon knew he must have been under a great amount of stress for him to snap like that, and he also couldn't act like nothing had happened when Jungkook had disrespected his hyung like that. Despite all of that, Namjoon chose to be the bigger person. "Jungkook-ah." He addressed awkwardly, earning a shy nod from Jungkook. "How's Jimin-ah?" He asked, genuinely worried for him.

"He's okay now." Jungkook nodded again. "But I don't really think this is gonna be the last time something like this happens." He shrugged.

Namjoon, who had moved from holding the knob and standing in the doorway to closing the door and resting his back on it, frowned. "What actually happened?" He tilted his head, not getting what Jungkook was talking about. The only thing Jungkook had said in their call was how Jimin was crying and begging to be taken home, and nothing else.

"He had a panic attack or an anxiety attack. I really don't know, but he was really freaked out." Jungkook scratched at his forehead, tired from bringing the same story up again, and reliving it every time, and every time, he would get even more stressed out over it, angry too, even if he had no one to direct his anger at.

"Did you figure out why that happened? Or?" Namjoon asked, moving to sit with Jin in front of Jungkook.

"A whole bunch of things just kept piling up in his head I think, but hyung thinks Jimin-ah should see a therapist." Jungkook explained, pointing at Jin, and getting up from the bed. "I'm gonna go in case Jiminie wakes up." He excused himself, moving to the door.

"Take care of him, Jungkook-ah." Namjoon gave Jungkook a reassuring smile, and Jungkook remembered how he needed to apologise.

"Ah, hyung!" Jungkook called after Namjoon had turned to Jin so he could tell him what he came in here for, so Namjoon turned to Jungkook again at being called. "I'm sorry about earlier, hyung. It won't happen again." Jungkook sincerely said, his hand already on the door knob.

"It's okay, Jungkook-ah. You needed to take care of your boyfriend, but an explanation would be nice yeah."

Jungkook smiled, nodding again and turning to the door.

"Hyung, I actually came to tell you Taehyung-ah needs to talk to you. Something about the album visuals or something?" Jungkook heard Namjoon say to Jin, just as he was closing the door, and Jungkook remembered.

Walking out to the living room, Jungkook checked there, and then the kitchen, not finding him, so he went to his room, only to find it empty too. "Where is this hyung." He muttered under his breath, deciding to go with his gut feeling, and what he had already heard being said in front of him. He walked to Yoongi's room, knocking rapidly.

"What. What. What." He heard Yoongi yelling from inside, and walking footsteps to the door, before the door was opened. "Jungkook-ah, it's after midnight." He stated, confused as to why Jungkook was at his room at this time of the day.

"Is Taehyung-ah here?" Jungkook asked calmly.

"Yah! Did you forget your manners!" Taehyung yelled from his place on the bed, scrolling through his phone, so Jungkook slid past Yoongi and into the room.

"You have no idea, do you?" Jungkook asked, feeling his anger slowly rising to the surface.

"Idea about what?" Taehyung replied nonchalantly, still scrolling through his phone, not looking at Jungkook.

Yoongi walked in behind Jungkook, having an idea on why Jungkook was here, but hoping it wasn't anything extreme.

"About what you did to Jimin-ah!" Jungkook burst out, taking Taehyung by surprise.

"W-What? What did I do?" Taehyung put his phone aside, finally looking at Jungkook, getting more worried by the second.

"You know, Taehyung-ah, I thought you were the kind of friend that was supportive, someone to depend on, to count on, but I'm actually sad to find out it's not true. How could you play with Jiminie's mind like that? How could you do that to your best friend, to your soulmate!" Jungkook yelled out, his eyes glistening with angry tears.

"Is Jiminie okay?" Taehyung stood up from the bed, much like what Jin had done, about to go to Jimin's room, until Jungkook stood in his way, preventing him from walking out, and Yoongi stood aside to observe, ready to step in if things escalated, which he doubted they would.

"Jimin had a panic attack today, and it's both your fault and mine." Jungkook explained, his jaw clenching in anger. "When a friend comes to you, stressed out, and in need of assurance, what you should do, hyung, is reassure them, and try to calm them down, not to give them another thing to stress out about. Jimin hyung needed you, and all you did was put more on his plate. How could you do that?" Jungkook's voice had gone down to almost a whisper, tone laced with disappointment. He knew Jimin didn't hold it against Taehyung. He knew Jimin wasn't angry with Taehyung or even a little upset, instead, Jungkook was the one who was angry, and who held it against Taehyung, just as much as he held what happened to Jimin today against himself.

"Where is he? I need to talk to him." Taehyung rushed out, his voice shaking, trying to walk past Jungkook.

Jungkook held his ground, not giving Taehyung the space to move. "You've talked enough already!" He shouted out, his eyes going wide, livid.

"Hey! Hey!" Yoongi yelled out from his place by the bed, not wanting Jungkook to do or say something he may regret.

"What's happening here?"

"Jiminie!" Taehyung chocked out, looking past Jungkook at a sleepy Jimin.

He had woken up a while ago, only to find the room bathed in darkness, and Jungkook nowhere to be found. He had patted his hands all over the bed in the search for his boyfriend, groggily calling his name. He then started to panic, not liking the way no light was in the room, his night light turned off, so he got out of bed, his feet knowing the way to the door, and once he had got out of the room, he heard yelling coming from Yoongi's room, so he went there to see what was happening.

"Baby, what are you doing out of bed?" Jungkook's features softened at the sight of Jimin, his feet moving on their own to him, his hand stroking his cheek.

"You forgot to turn on my night light, Jungkook-ah." Jimin mumbled, rubbing his eye. "But why are you yelling? What's happening here?" Jimin looked past Jungkook, and at Taehyung, to find him visibility shaken, his eyes filled with tears, and Yoongi standing beside him, his hand on the small of his back in quiet comfort. "Taehyungie? Are you okay?" Jimin frowned, looking back again at Jungkook, and back to Taehyung again, and then he realised what was happening.

"I should be the one asking you that, Jiminie." Taehyung noted, feeling regretful, and wishing he had listened to Yoongi.

"I-I'm okay? What's happening here? Did-" Jimin turned to Jungkook, looking for a confirmation of what he thought had happened, and when Jungkook looked away with his jaw clenching, it was the confirmation Jimin needed. "You told him?" He asked, still looking up at Jungkook who refused to look back at him, so he sighed. Jimin then stepped around Jungkook and went to Taehyung. "Don't worry, Taehyungie. I'm okay. Jungkook is just worried about me. Everything is fine. No one is mad at anyone, okay?" He assured, tiptoeing to give Taehyung a kiss on the cheek. "Go to sleep, alright? Sorry about Jungkook-ah, hyung." Jimin directed the last part at Yoongi, turning around to walk out the room, dragging Jungkook by the hand with him.

Jungkook stayed quiet, silently going to his wardrobe to take his shirt off, feeling like he was suffocating.

"Jungkook-ah, you shouldn't have done that." Jimin broke the silence, sitting on the bed, and facing Jungkook.

"I had to, hyung, okay? He had to know what he did. He needed to take responsibility just as I'm taking responsibility. It was both our faults, and Taehyung needed to know that." Jungkook objected, choosing to stand in the middle of the room, with only grey sweats on.

"Jungkook-ah." Jimin stressed his name out. "No one died, and since when are you so disrespectful to your hyungs! It's Taehyung hyung for you!" He reminded, glad Jungkook was far away for him to hit. "You're not a brat! Pull yourself together. You can't pick fights left and right. What did you even say to Taehyung-ah? That it was his fault I had an anxiety attack? And what if it wasn't? We don't actually know that, so why would you go and make someone feel guilty for something that wasn't their fault in the first place! It's not like you to do that, Jungkookie!" Jimin got up to stand in front of Jungkook, reaching for his hand.

Jungkook stayed quiet for a few seconds, looking down, and holding Jimin's hand tightly. "I'm sorry, hyung. You're right, it wasn't right to do, but I don't regret it. From my perspective, it went like this, Taehyung said something that caused you even more stress, and the next day I said another thing too, and then that happened, so I can't convince myself or pretend that it wasn't partially Taehyung hyung's fault. Just as I keep thinking of what-" He breathed in, swallowing the lump in his throat. "Of what I could have done d-differently to prevent this from happening, I keep thinking what if Taehyung hyung hadn't said what he said too, maybe- maybe you would've been okay?" He looked away, wiping a lone tear that fell down his cheek.

Jimin smiled, tiptoeing to hold Jungkook's cheek. "Jungkookie, I swear I'm okay. It's not like I've died or something." When Jungkook gave him a look, he muttered an apology. "What I mean is, you need to calm down, okay? Nothing is wrong. You don't need to blame yourself, or anyone else for that matter. What's already happened could have happened from the pressure of work alone. If I'm prone to have an anxiety attack, then it would have happened eventually, so how about you think of how you were there to save my day, huh?" Jimin's hand moved to Jungkook's shoulders, rubbing them so he could relax.

Jungkook sighed, both at Jimin's words and at his touch. "I'd save you anyday you want." He cracked a smile.

"That's all I need." Jimin smiled, his eyes forming those little crescent moons. "But how about you just cuddle me for now?" He tilted his head.

Jungkook let out a little laugh. "I'll cuddle the shit out of you." He joked, pulling Jimin to the bed, and going under the covers.

"Why did you take your shirt off again though? Not that I'm complaining, but," Jimin shrugged, scooting over so he could lay his head on Jungkook's chest.

"To seduce you, hyung." Jungkook explained, pulling Jimin closer by the waist, and keeping his arm there.

"Can I say it's working?" Jimin raised his head, giving Jungkook a playful smile.

"No, go to sleep." Jungkook slapped at Jimin where his hand reached, which was at his hip, so Jimin whined, just to annoy Jungkook. "It's either you sleep now, hyung, or we're staying up all night. It's your call." He warned, giving Jimin a chance to think of the consequences.

"All night?!" Jimin exclaimed. "No, thank you, I'm tired." He widened his eyes jokingly, making Jungkook laugh.

"Sleep, Jimin-ah." Jungkook said softly.

"Jimin-ah?" Jimin echoed.

"Something wrong?" Jungkook frowned, not wanting to be disrespectful to his boyfriend.

"No, I like it actually." Jimin admitted quietly, turning his face the other way, and smiling shyly.

Jungkook smiled to himself, feeling accomplished, and he slipped his hand under Jimin's shirt, rubbing his bare back. "Sleep, Jimin-ah." He repeated with a smile.

"Goodnight, Jungkook-ah. I love you." Jimin mumbled sleepily, turning his face back again, and closing his eyes, still carrying the promise with him to tomorrow.

He will keep trying.
