Jimin sighed, connecting his phone to the charger, and pulling the covers to cover him up to his head, before he closed his eyes and tried to sleep for the fourth time that night.
It was a night full of goodbyes. Jimin and Jungkook had said goodbye, all of them had said goodbye to Jin, and the rest of them had to say goodbye to each other, because not only did Jimin and Jungkook get separated that night, it was also the seven of them, with one far away in the army, and the six of them divided into two.
It was okay though, because it meant that Jungkook had the time to process all of what has happened, and Jimin had the time to start healing, and plan how he was going to gain Jungkook's trust back, and Namjoon and Hoseok -who were the most affected right after Jungkook of Jimin disappearing- had the chance to spend time with Jimin again.
That didn't mean that their goodbye wasn't filled with tears though. Jungkook couldn't stop crying, and Jimin had to stop himself from doing so, because he knew that if he cried too, then they wouldn't go through with it and do what their counselor said, and instead damn it all to hell and stay together. He had to stay strong for Jungkook because they were doing the right thing. Jimin knew that if they were hurting now, it was so they wouldn't later on the long run, even if he had to say goodbye to a crying Jungkook.
"H-Hyung."
Jimin held Jungkook's face, continuosly wiping his tears away, both of them standing by the front door, Yoongi and Taehyung in the car already, and Jin already on his way after he left a few hours earlier. "Baby." He whispered.
"I don't want to g-go." Jungkook sobbed.
"Baby, it's just five days." Jimin swallowed the lump in his throat, seconds away from pulling Jungkook to their room, and locking him up.
Jungkook shook his head. "Five days are four nights I'm gonna sleep alone, and then after I see you I-I'll have to go back to sleeping alone again, no." He kept shaking his head, pulling Jimin closer so he could hug him, tightening his hold around him, refusing to let go.
Jimin held the back of Jungkook's head. "You know it's for the best. We're doing this so we could do whatever we want later. We will travel like you wanted, get engaged, adopt a dog, whatever you want we'll do it."
Pulling away, Jungkook blinked his tears away. "R-Really?" He raised his eyebrows, not believing Jimin.
Jimin laughed softly. "Yeah, we'll do it all." He said, brushing his nose with Jungkook's.
"You promise, hyung?"
Nodding, Jimin continued to wipe Jungkook's face from any tears. "I promise, Jungkookie."
"I want a doberman." Jungkook said, eyes wide with wonder.
Jimin laughed loudly. "We'll get a doberman."
"Adopt." Jungkook corrected.
"We'll adopt a doberman, baby. Anything else?" He asked, stroking Jungkook's cheek, and Jungkook held Jimin's wrist, shaking his head.
"None for now." Jungkook whispered.
"I'll do anything for you." Jimin went on his tippy toes, kissing Jungkook's forehead, making Jungkook smile shyly.
"You're still saying goodbye? I thought you called the whole thing off- Sorry, I'll just," Taehyung pointed back at the elevator he just came from, thinking that the pair changed their minds when half an hour almost passed and Jungkook still hadn't come to the car, and it wasn't that staying with Yoongi in the same care was boring, quite the opposite, but Taehyung preferred the privacy of four walls, and not four tinted windows.
"It's okay, hyung. I'm coming with you." Jungkook said, pulling away from Jimin, who was still holding his hand, the one to refuse to let go now.
"See you later, Jiminie baby." Jungkook said, kissing Jimin on the cheek, before turning away to leave.
Jimin pulled on Jungkook's hand that he was still refusing to let go of, pulling Jungkook back to face him, and giving him one last kiss, not caring of what they should and shouldn't do, he gave Jungkook another last kiss, letting go before Jungkook could kiss back, and letting his hand go. "See you later, Kookie." He said, a small smile on his face, crossing his arms to hug himself.
Jungkook smiled back, putting his beloved backpack on his shoulder, and walking out the door, just before a tear finally slipped down Jimin's cheek.
Refusing to relive the last time Jungkook walked out on him with a backpack on his shoulder, Jimin wiped under his eye quickly, before he walked to stand in the doorway, watching Jungkook get into the elevator with Taehyung.
Jungkook went into the elevator, turning around to see Jimin standing in front of him, giving him a small wave with another smile, catching him off guard a little, but he smiled back, finally one where it was actually genuine, and not pained.
Mouthing I love yous, both boys held eye contact until the elevator door closed, and Jimin went back into the dorm, going into Hoseok's comforting arms.
Jungkook sighed, shifting in bed when another notification sounded in the room, making him slowly wake up with a frown, and patting his hand on his bedside in the search for his phone.
He blinked rapidly to try and see clearly, his vision still blurry, until he could finally see that he had eight text messages from Jimin, and that made him sit up immediately.
Shaking his head with a smile, Jungkook sighed, having thought that something bad had happened, when it was just Jimin expressing how much he had missed him. Jungkook's heart felt full, and he turned to bury his head in the pillow next to him, which was coincidentally, Jimin's pillow, muffling his squeal.
My lovely: I miss you too.
Sent: 5:52 am
My lovely: even if I already went to sleep unlike you.
Sent: 5:53 am
My lovely: your texts woke me up, but I guess you fell asleep, huh?
Sent: 5:55 am
My lovely: If you hadn't kissed me I probably would have been upset with you.
Sent: 5:55 am
My lovely: Hey! This is not fair. You wake me up because you miss me and when I do wake up you go to sleep, so I'll have to stay awake and be the one missing you.
NOT FAIR.
Sent: 6:01 am
My lovely: good morning to me I guess....
Sent: 6:02 am
Jungkook laughed to himself, removing the covers off him when he was certain he wasn't going to go back to sleep that easily.
"If I had that doberman, I wouldn't feel so alone now, would I, Jimin-ssi?" He sighed, deciding to go out of his room and to the balcony, to watch the sunrise, grabbing a glass of milk on his way out.
My lovely:
Sent: 6:02 am
My lovely: Good morning, my catalyst.
Sent: 6:02 am
Jungkook locked his phone, enjoying his milk and the view before him, appreciating the location Jimin picked their apartment in, but still missing him beside him.
He leaned back in his chair, starting to think of what their therapist told them so far. It wasn't like she dumped a weight on them, or that she said something new, but Jungkook knew he had work to do if he wanted to speed up the process so he could be in Jimin's arms as soon as possible.
With newfound determination, Jungkook unlocked his phone again, going on Naver, and he started to look for ways he could help himself, or as Cheong said, process his emotions and the trauma he had went through.
When he finally found his solution, he almost laughed at the irony. It was right there in front of him, and he couldn't see it.
Getting up quickly, he went inside, almost running into Taehyung. "Hey!" Taehyung laughed, dodging Jungkook who had an empty glass of milk in one hand and his phone in the other.
"Sorry, hyung!" Jungkook shouted, putting the glass on the kitchen island on his way to his room.
Taehyung shook his head, going to the kitchen himself to start making breakfast, seeing Jungkook run out of his room again, this time with a notepad and a pen in his hand instead of the glass. "What are you up to?" He asked with curiousity, raising an eyebrow.
Jungkook took a seat, putting the notepad Infront of him, and flipping the pages to find a blank one. "Brainstorming, journalling, writing songs, whatever comes up from my brain I'll write it." He rattled off, mindlessly writing down different types of emotions randomly, making a mind map.
"Is this related to the session you had? Or you're just writing songs?" Taehyung asked, standing in front of the open fridge. "God, you have nothing here for breakfast." He added under his breath.
"Yeah. Turns out I'm traumatised." Jungkook said sarcastically, scribbling down random words.
"Well, yeah. You have an abandonment wound, obviously." Taehyung shrugged, as if he was saying the most obvious thing in the world.
Jungkook's hand halted. "I do?" He raised his head to look at Taehyung, a frown on his face.
Taehyung nodded. "Of course." He put a few things on the counter, and then reached into his pocket for his phone. "Let's see, just in case," He said, typing on his phone. "Abandonment wound meaning." He whispered to himself. "Aha! Emotional abandonment is the result of a significant person discarding you, dismissing you, devaluing you, or not acknowledging you." He read out loud. "Sounds familiar?"
The frown on Jungkook's face deepened, being reminded of how Jimin had left him all of a sudden. He might not have left him physically, because Jungkook was the one who left that night, but Jimin had left him emotionality, he had pulled away from Jungkook completely after almost four years of holding on, of waking up and going to sleep together every single day, he had said how they can't do that anymore, and left Jungkook all alone, even if he didn't even walk out of the room. "Okay, so traumatised, with an abandonment issue, what else?" Jungkook said with a sigh, writing it down.
"Jungkook-ah, having an abandonment issue is the type of trauma you have. It's not two separate things. Just look for the other traumas you have, and work them through." He advised, pointing his knife at Jungkook, and cutting the vegetables on the board.
"I understand nothing. How do I know what traumas I have? I'm not a therapist." Jungkook gritted his teeth in frustration.
Taehyung sighed. "How about you ask yourself how you feel, and start from there? I'll give you an example, you're scared Jimin will leave again, you can't trust him not to leave again, you feel scared most of the time and you want to hold on to him. That's the abandonment issue. It's just the way you feel but put in a fancy title, and not everything needs a title." He shrugged.
Jungkook looked away in thought, narrowing his eyes. "I think that's it. That's all I feel."
"You might think that way, but when you talk to Jimin more, and you both interact, you might find other things you feel that might slow you both down. It's a good idea though, journalling. You can also listen to songs, see which ones you related to, and what emotions these songs bring out of you." Taehyung offered, mixing random things that Jungkook couldn't see from his chair, in a big bowl.
Jungkook got up from his chair, going around the kitchen isle to pull Taehyung in a hug, until Taehyung's feet couldn't touch the ground. "Hyung, you're so smart. I get how you're Jiminie's soulmate now!" He yelled with a laugh, shaking Taehyung up and down in his hold.
Yoongi cleared his throat, having had enough of watching them from the hallway, and walking into the kitchen space, crossing his arms with a look in Taehyung's direction, that had the smile on Taehyung's face disappearing. "Okay, that's enough, Kook. You can let me down now." He said with a nervous laugh, so Jungkook let him down hesitantly, confused on why Taehyung had frozen up in his hold.
Clearing his throat again, and taking a seat in front of Jungkook, Yoongi reached for a piece of carrot and chewed on it. "What's up?" He asked nodding to the notepad in front of Jungkook.
"Oh, this? I'm trying to write, hyung." Jungkook explained, snapping his mind away from the weird thoughts he just had.
Yoongi nodded encouragingly. "Let me know if you need any help." He smiled softly, turning his attention to Taehyung. "Bear, want me to make breakfast with you?" He added.
Taehyung blinked, and then shook his head quickly. "No, hon- hyung. It's okay- I've got it."
Jungkook frowned, looking at Taehyung and then back again at Yoongi, trying to decide if he was delusional or not. He waved his hand in front of his face, making Yoongi give him a weird look.
"You okay?"
"Yeah. Yeah!" Jungkook laughed to himself, looking down at the notepad in front of him, and picking his pen up again, getting ready to spend all morning and afternoon writing.
The three boys had breakfast, and when Taehyung had suggested that they go watch some TV lazily on the couch, Jungkook had declined, saying he was going to lock himself up in the music room they had, to brainstorm, and quite truthfully, Jungkook had decided to do that because he was starting to feel his emotions getting the best of him, and he knew he was either going to cry or lock himself up emotionally, so he thought it was best to lock himself away, it being the best way he knew how to deal with his emotions.
Taehyung had knocked on the door around lunch time with a tray of random sandwiches Yoongi had made, knowing Jungkook wasn't about to get out of the room anytime soon, and it was worrying him how Jungkook had went all of these hours without food, when it wasn't like Jungkook at all to forget about food the way he did.
Opening the door just slightly, Jungkook had taken the food with a grateful "Thank you, hyung!" and closed the door again quickly, going back to writing and strumming different notes on the guitar.
"Is he okay?"
"He looked okay." Taehyung shrugged.
Taehyung and Yoongi continued to lounge on the couch, claiming that they haven't had a lazy day in forever, and taking advantage of basically babysitting Jungkook just so they could stay in and not feel guilty about wasting the day away. At one point Taehyung had gone into the music room when it got too quiet for his liking, just to check on his dongsaeng, and he found him sprawled out on the couch, a notepad on his stomach, and a pen still in his hand. Taehyung had let him be, and closed the door gently, not wanting to disturb his sleep.
He went back to Yoongi, jumping on the couch, and laying his head on Yoongi's lap, pulling his hand forcibly and putting in his own hair, just so Yoongi would play with the strands.
Yoongi pushed Taehyung away playfully with a groan, and they continued to joke around until they heard beeping coming from the door.
Jungkook kept writing all morning, flipping page after page, filling them with random thoughts, some of them had rhymed and some hadn't, still he continued to scribble, wiping occasional tears that fell now and then, going back to that moment of absolute shock, where the carpet was pulled from underneath his feet, and he found himself falling with no Jimin to catch him.
He continued to write even when he got so emotional he couldn't see the pages anymore, he continued to write until it was after two in the afternoon, and despite knowing that Jimin was still probably asleep, Jungkook couldn't help but let out his feelings in a small voicemail, when he got too weak to talk to himself.
"I-" He took a deep breath. "I know you're still asleep, b-but I couldn't stop myself from saying this, J-Jimin." He sniffed. "I will never forget the moment you left me. I can't wipe it away from m-my mind." He took another deep breath. "I th-thought you couldn't live without me, Jimin. Just like I couldn't breath without you, so w-why?" He took a moment to let a sob out of his chest. "I was so in love with you. I was so in love with you and you crushed me. You crushed me, hyung. I coul- I couldn't feel anything around me when I left that night, I could barely breathe then. I still don't know how I made it to the dorm, and I can't remember what happened after. All I remember is waking up the next day in my old room that I haven't slept in in years. Years, h-hyung."
"I was so in love with you, I had my whole trust in you, I thought you were joking at first, but you were th-there, telling me how you couldn't do it anymore. You lied to me, you said you'd never, never leave me and you d-did." Jungkook said into the phone, one hand holding the device and the other on his chest, hunching over on the couch. "I don't trust things easily. I-I never take things for granted, I believe that if I wake up today safe and sound, I might not be as lucky tomorrow, but I never thought I would ever wake up with us being apart, I never thought there would come a day that we're both alive and breathing but doing that away from each other."
"The aftermath was the worst. I'm aware how almost thirty days are not enough to wreck me but it was, hyung. Each day proved what I felt. It proved that we were done. It was no longer Jimin and Jungkook, and we'll n-never be again, that it was the end of us."
"Once I had realised that it got worse- I'm running out of time- this is stupid, I should just delete it." And before Jungkook knew it, the voicemail had gone through before he could stop it. "UGH!" He almost threw his phone across the room, but he stopped himself, and started another voicemail.
"Jiminie baby, disregard that last voicemail. It's embarrassing, just- delete it." And he sent the voicemail, rubbing a hand down his face.
Before Jungkook knew it, he had fallen asleep, halfway through getting out his feelings on another piece of paper.
He couldn't feel or hear someone opening the room door and then closing it shut gently, and he couldn't hear the beeping from the front door, some shouting and then the front door slamming shut again. Jungkook had slept through it all, not knowing the love of his life was suffering just as much as him.
Jimin had woken up with a groan, wanting the day to end already, and not seeing how or why he had to go through another day without Jungkook on his side. He couldn't see the point when he knew he ached for Jungkook, and Jungkook ached the same for him. He knew it was the right thing to do, but when it came down to actions, he found himself unable to do it, and unable to function when all he could think about was someone he could not see for another five days.
The only thought that had Jimin opening his eyes, was the thought of Jungkook responding to his texts, so he reached eagerly for his phone and tapped on his messages from Jungkook, reading through them with a smile, giddy that Jungkook had wanted to kiss him just as much as he wanted to.
He frowned when he found two voicemails from Jungkook, confused on why he would send him one when he had already texted him.
He sat up sleepily, rubbing the sleep from his eye with one hand, the other holding the phone up to his ear.
Slowly, Jimin covered his hand with his mouth in shook, a dry sob coming out before he pulled the covers back, getting up quickly with no hesitation, the phone still pressed to his ear, when it felt more like a rock was pressed to his heart. He continued to listen to Jungkook's voice as he was crying, and letting his feelings out, crying with him as he pulled on the nearest shoes he could find, and grabbing a random hoodie before he ran out of the room, and to the front door.
You crushed me, hyung.
"Jimin-ah, where are you going!"
Jimin did not have the mind to stop and see who was calling for him, whether it was Hoseok or Namjoon. He also did not have the mind to stop and call the elevator. He just ran down the stairs, the phone still pressed to his ear, his heart squeezing uncomfortably, and the second voicemail played, making him laugh even through he was crying.
Considerate Jungkookie.
Jimin took deep breaths and wiped his eyes once he was in front of the wheel, turning the car on and speeding out of the dorm garage, his phone thrown on the passenger seat beside him.
It was a small, less than five minutes drive, and Jimin parked sloppily, before he ran up the stairs the whole five stories until he was panting in front of his and Jungkook's apartment door, pressing the code of their anniversary on, and pushing the door open.
Yoongi's head turned to the door, finding Jimin walking in and panting. "Where's Jungkook?" He let out breathlessly.
"Jimin?" Taehyung wondered, straightening up to turn around and look at Jimin. "Jimin, what are you doing here?"
"I said, where's Jungkook!" Jimin yelled, walking in the living space further, and it had Yoongi and Taehyung jumping up from the couch, knowing Jimin and Jungkook weren't supposed to see each other for another five days, and that it actually wasn't the best for them to do so.
"Jimin-ah, you're not supposed to be here, you know that." Yoongi reasoned, standing in front of Jimin now, his back to the hallway and to the direction which Jimin didn't know had Jungkook. "Just calm down. Why are you here?"
"H-" Jimin took a deep breath, still panting from running up the stairs and from the fear that consumed him when he heard that voicemail. "He-He sent me-" He stopped talking again, still failing to catch his breath, and he knew he was on the verge of an anxiety attack now. "Fuck this! W-Where's Jungkook?!"
Taehyung stood close to Jimin, holding his shoulder gently. "Jiminie, you should just go back to the dorm. You'll see each other in five days anyways."
Jimin shook Taehyung's hand off his shoulder, taking a step back. "No!" He yelled, looking around them for any sign of Jungkook, taking a step in the direction of their bedroom when he thought maybe Jungkook was sleeping, until Yoongi got in his way. "Come on! Let me see him!" He protested, pushing against Yoongi. "P-Please, let me see him, and I'll leave, okay? Please."
"I'm sorry, Jimin-ah." Yoongi said gently, holding both of Jimin's shoulders. "We'll tell him to call you, or text you, okay?"
Jimin looked at Yoongi helplessly, and then to Taehyung when he came to stand next to Yoongi, an apologetic look on his face. "Go home, Jimin."
Jimin felt his face crumple, trying his hardest to not cry. "I'm trying to." He croaked out, covering his face in frustration.
Taehyung bit his lip, trying not to cry too. Seeing Jimin like this wasn't easy on him, and he was trying so hard not to give in and let Jimin just see Jungkook, because who was he to try and keep two people in love apart? He reached to rub the back of Jimin's head gently. "I'm sorry, Chimmy."
Taking a deep breath, Jimin shook their hands off his body again, and turned around to walk out the door when he knew for sure he wasn't going to see Jungkook, slamming the door after him.
"Yooni, I feel bad." Taehyung let out once he was sure Jimin was far enough, turning around to let Yoongi wrap his arms around him.
"We can't let them ruin themselves, Bear. It's for their own good."
Taehyung nodded, still holding Yoongi for comfort, and Yoongi brushed his hair away from his forehead, both of them staying quiet, still processing what happened a few seconds ago.
"Jimin, where were you?" Namjoon asked, walking into the living room as soon as he heard the front door open and then slam shut.
Jimin walked in, his shoulders slumped, and he kicked his shoes off, which he realised now weren't even his, because they were two sizes bigger, most probably Jungkook's.
"Jimin?" Namjoon repeated when Jimin said nothing, getting more worried by the second.
"They wouldn't let me see him." Jimin whispered, still standing by the front door, looking at the ground.
"You went to see Jungkook?!" Namjoon exclaimed.
Jimin nodded silently, still looking down.
"Oh, Jimin. Come here." Namjoon comforted, walking the few steps to Jimin before he wrapped his arms around him, rubbing his back. "Why did you do that?" He whispered, not wanting to scold Jimin and upset him.
"I don't want to cry again, hyung." Jimin whined, his forehead resting on Namjoon's shoulder.
"What's wrong? Is Jiminie okay?" Hoseok said as soon as he walked through the door, having went shopping early in the afternoon and only making it back home now.
Namjoon signaled with his head to Hoseok, motioning for him to hug Jimin too, and Hoseok dropped his shopping bags before waddling to them, and hugging Jimin's back.
"Don't cry, Jiminie!" Hoseok said in a baby voice, trying to cheer Jimin up.
"I'm trying not to, hyung!" Jimin yelled before sniffing.
"But what happened? Do you miss Jungkook? I'm sure it's hard."
"He went to see him."
"You went to see him?!"
"He was about to tell me why before you interrupted us."
"Why did you go, Jimin? You know you're not supposed to."
"Okay! Enough. I'll tell you." Jimin bursted out with a laugh, breaking free of their hold on him, and walking to the nearest couch, Namjoon going after him, and then Hoseok after he closed the front door.
Once the three of them were sitting on the couch with Jimin in the middle, he started to tell them what happened and all the things Jungkook had said in the voicemail.
"It makes me feel guilty, you know? And our therapist said that I need to deal with the guilt and learn how to cope with it, but I can't! Not when that's the way I know he feels, and I knew it. I've known even before he sent that voicemail because I knew having your heart broken is not an easy thing to feel, and I always feel guilty as hell. I did this to him! How could I ever make it right?"
"Jiminie?" Hoseok called, and Jimin turned to him. "What do you think Jungkook needs from you?"
"What do you mean, hyung?"
"I mean, do you think that Jungkook needs from you to feel guilty everyday? Does he require from you to be always guilty and to walk on eggshells around him all the time? Is Jungkook the kind of person who would only be satisfied if you were always guilty?" Hoseok asked, using his hyung voice on Jimin.
"Of course not, hyung. Jungkookie is not that kind of person. He doesn't even want me to feel guilty at all." Jimin denied, and Namjoon just kept listening to their conversation, knowing that Hoseok had a point.
"Then what do you think Jungkook-ah wants from you? Do you want me to tell you what I think he wants? What I think he needs?"
Jimin sniffed. "Sure, hyung."
"He wants security. He just wants you to be there for him, and not leave again. That's all. That's what I think a person who was abandoned would need from the person who abandoned them. Can you provide that for him, Jimin?"
Jimin nodded rapidly. "Yes. Yes, I'll never leave him again, I swear."
"Honey, I think Jungkook would appreciate it if you said that to him, not me." Hoseok pointed out, wrapping his arm around Jimin's shoulder.
"I'll do that." Jimin nodded again, and he felt his phone buzzing in his pocket, so he took it out.
Taetae: Jiminie, I feel bad that we couldn't let you see Jungkook. But you know it's for the best, right? He was actually asleep in the music room, once he wakes up I'll let you know so you both could talk.
Sent: 4:40 pm
"He's sleeping." Jimin said out loud, before he locked his phone again and put it in his pocket again, a small smile on his face.
"Then you'll talk when he wakes up. It's a good thing he opened up to you like that." Namjoon said with a shrug.
"How is it a good thing that he's this hurt? He was crying, hyung." Jimin frowned.
"I didn't say it's a good thing that he's hurting. I'm saying that it's a good thing he opens up to you when he is, that's all." Namjoon corrected. "That's what you two went to therapy for isn't it? Only you didn't do the whole opening up thing and arguing in front of your therapist, right? So just do it together. Let Jungkook get it all out. He has to let all of these negative emotions out of his system so that he completely forgives you and moves on from what happened and actually heal, so yes, it's a good thing he opened up, and you should encourage him to keep doing that if you want to speed up the process."
Jimin sighed, knowing how his hyung was right, and feeling glad that he had both of them now instead of being locked up in his apartment all alone. He knew now more than ever how wrong he was for doing that.
"Jiminie, why are you crying honey?" Hoseok asked, pulling Jimin to him by his shoulder when he found Jimin sniffling.
"I'm just glad I have you now, and I'm not alone again. I'm sorry, hyungs. I'm sorry I shut you out." Jimin apologized, leaning into Hoseok and reaching his hand out to pull Namjoon so they could all hug. "Thank you for being there for me even if I don't deserve it."
"Jimin, you deserve it. Whatever you do, you still deserve our love. We're a family at the end of the day." Namjoon scolded, hitting Jimin's shoulder gently.
"I love you, guys."
"Rise and shine." Taehyung sang from his place on the couch, watching Jungkook walk to the fridge and reach for a bottle of water, groaning as a reply before he gulped down the whole bottle.
"Did you sleep well, Jungkook-ah?" Yoongi asked, standing in front of the stove, cooking dinner.
"Aha." Jungkook replied with a nod.
"Sure you slept well? And no noises woke you up?" Taehyung asked. He thought even the presence of Jimin was enough to wake Jungkook up, but he was wrong.
Jungkook turned around with a frown. "What do you mean, hyung?"
Taehyung laughed nervously when he caught the look Yoongi was sending him. "Nothing, nothing." And he went back to laying on the couch, his face hidden away from the kitchen area.
Scratching his head, Jungkook took a seat at the kitchen island. "Hyung, what does he mean by noises? What exactly were you two up to when I fell asleep?"
Taehyung felt his ears turning red from his place on the couch, and he heard Yoongi laughing sarcastically. "Haha, very funny."
"Seriously though?" Jungkook said, looking at the couch Taehyung was laying on, and then to Yoongi again, wanting to ask if there was anything going on between the both of them but not knowing how, and it certainly didn't help with the way they were both being so cryptic.
"Don't mind him, Jungkook-ah." Yoongi said, waving Jungkook off and not sparing him a glance, which had Jungkook all the more suspicious. "Taehyung-ah, dinner is ready!" Yoongi shouted to Taehyung, before he started to put down plates in front of Jungkook.
Taehyung went to sit down with a frown, taking a pair of chopsticks and starting to nibble on his food, only looking down at the food.
Jungkook continued to observe the two of them, feeling like he was missing something. "Did you two fight?"
"What? No." Yoongi replied, taking a sip of his bear.
"But something happened when I was asleep. What happened?"
"Nothing happened, Jungkook."
"Jimin was here."
"What?!"
"Bear!"
"Jiminie came here? How? When? Why didn't you wake me up?" Jungkook slammed down his spoon, standing up from his chair.
"Jungkook, calm down."
"Kook, I think you should call him. He didn't look good. It was almost an hour ago." Taehyung said, finally putting his chopsticks down when he wasn't even eating at this point.
Yoongi just stayed quiet, resting his hand on his forehead, his elbow on the table.
"What do you mean he didn't look good? And how the fuck didn't any of you wake me up?!" Jungkook yelled, pulling his phone out of his pocket to call Jimin.
"Language, Jungkook." Yoongi said tiredly.
"Whatever." Jungkook muttered, before he put the phone on his ear, hearing it ring, before he heard Jimin picking up the call.
"Kookie?"
"Baby, hey, are you okay?" He asked softly, walking to his room, and disregarding dinner all together.
"Bear, why did you tell him?" Yoongi complained, him too not eating anymore.
"He was bound to know anyway. I don't see why we should hide it from him. It's not like they don't talk so Jimin won't tell him. They do, so it's best we tell him and explain how we're trying to help them instead of hiding it and taking the role of the strict parents."
"We'd make good parents." Yoongi mumbled, picking his spoon up again.
"Yooni!" Taehyung laughed.
Jungkook closed the door behind him, taking a seat on the bed. "They just told me you were here. I'm sorry I was sleeping, baby."
"It's okay, Jungkookie. They just wanted to help us. I shouldn't have come, but I couldn't not come too, after hearing- that." Jimin explained, him too laying on his bed in the privacy of his own room.
"But it's our decision at the end of the day. They don't have the right to- to send you back when you want to see me." Jungkook said, getting a little frustrated.
"Yes, but still, we made a decision to try and we're trying, they're our friends, and their role is to support and help us- don't tell me you fought them when you knew."
"Babe-"
"Jungkook! That's bad. Go apologize right now." Jimin scolded.
"They kept us from seeing each other, Minnie!" Jungkook whined.
"It was only to help us! They don't have any bad intentions." Jimin tried to explain. "Baby, hear me out, we agreed on doing this, it's our only chance at a healthy relationship that's going to last forever, right? And how else would we be able to do that without breaking if it wasn't with their help. When I came here after I left our place when they wouldn't let me see you, I sat down with Namjoon and Hobi hyung, and they both sat down and talked with me, and it actually helped a lot. Why don't you do that with Taehyung and Yoongi hyung? You might not realise this but it will actually help."
Jungkook stayed quiet, looking down at his fingertips that had went rough from the guitar strings, a pout on his lips.
"Kookie?"
"Yes?"
"Did you hear what I said, baby?"
"Yes."
"You know I wanted to see you just as much as you wanted but it was the right thing to do, right? You know that I miss you so much even though I just saw you yesterday, right?" Jimin smiled into the phone, wishing he could be closer to Jungkook right now.
"I know, Minnie." Jungkook sighed, still a little angry they couldn't let Jimin see him. He would have been with him right now, they would have been holding each other just as they were supposed to. "I miss you so much, that's all." He said. "But it seems missing you is all I'm going to be doing for a while."
Jimin laughed softly. "Aren't you the poet."
"Oh, honey. You've seen nothing. I've spent all morning and the most of the afternoon writing, and nothing comes to my mind to write about other than you." Jungkook said, not thinking much before he let the words out.
Jimin froze, his face growing hot. "F-For real?"
Jungkook sighed. "What do you think?"
"What di- Did you write those feelings out? The ones in the voicemail?" Jimin asked hesitantly, not wanting to push Jungkook's boundaries, but he knew they had to talk it out.
Letting out a chuckle, Jungkook scratched the back of his neck. "I kinda wrote an angry song."
"Oh, and how did that feel?" Jimin whispered, pulling a random pillow to hug it.
"Relieving. I feel like I've let out a bad feeling I had that was weighing me down. It's weird, but some of that anger is still there, it's subtle, and it's like, okay I've acknowledged the feeling, so I can always point it out when it comes up, but I want to get rid of it entirely, I don't want to carry it around. I don't want to be angry at you." Jungkook tried his best to explain, closing his eyes in the process, as if he can see the words being written and he was reading them out loud.
"That's great, baby." Jimin smiled, his chest tightening at the thought of Jungkook being angry at him, but he knew it was a matter of time before all of this could be fixed.
"Great? I'm telling you I'm angry at you, and you say it's great?" Jungkook frowned into the phone, not getting Jimin.
"Yes, baby. You're processing your feelings. It's a good thing you know what you're feeling so that you can work through it, and you're not lying to yourself anymore, you're finally seeing that you should be angry at me, that I did something wrong, that I've ruined things, and now all I need to do is try and earn your forgiveness, and I'm gonna do everything I can until you're not angry with me anymore, until I earn back your trust, okay?"
Jungkook listened attentively to Jimin, getting uncomfortable at the thought of Jimin trying to make it up to him, because he just wanted them to get back together, he only wanted everything to go back to the way it used to be, but at the same time he knew it was the only way for them to straighten things out. They had to start over.
"What are you thinking about?" Jimin said when Jungkook got too quiet at the other line, worried he didn't like what he said.
"I don't like this. I just want us to be together. I don't want you trying to earn my forgiveness or whatever. I just want you." Jungkook said in frustration.
"I want you too, baby. So much."
Jungkook did end up apologising to Taehyung and Yoongi, even if he wasn't entirely convinced that he should. All he wanted was to have Jimin, and the both of them did not allow that, even if it were for Jimin and Jungkook's own good.
After Jungkook had apologized, Taehyung had hugged him and told him he had nothing to worry about. He told him that he would have acted the same way if someone stopped him from seeing the person he loved, no matter the circumstances. Yoongi looked away at this, too embarrassed for having imagined himself in the situation just as Taehyung said it, realising that he would have done worst than Jungkook, but then again Yoongi knew that if the love of his life was in the living room and he was asleep in his room, he would wake up in some way or the other, believing that his love for his person was that great.
Neither Jungkook not Taehyung knew why Yoongi's ears had turned red all of a sudden, but they ignored it, Taehyung promising himself he'll ask about it later, not missing the chance of possibly embarrassing Yoongi, but he had to wait until they were both alone together.
When Jungkook went to talk to Yoongi and Taehyung, he had done it just because Jimin had said so, and he never wanted to go against anything Jimin told him to do, first because he wasn't physically able to say no to him, and also because he knew Jimin knew best, and was always right, and knew what was good for him.
However, Jungkook did not expect that he might get something from that conversation that might help him, and help Jimin.
"Kook, what do you think would happen if you guys don't go to therapy and just get back together and forget anything of this ever happened? Do you think you'd both be fine and your relationship will be great? You think it will be just how it used to be? It won't. You'll hold a grudge against Jimin and Jimin will be miserable because he'll know nothing he can do can ever take back that he broke your heart, and you'll be miserable too if you live with someone who broke your heart, you'll be threatened it will happen again, and you'll both continue to live in this broken relationship because you haven't moved on from the hurt and it will keep coming back up to the surface, you'll fight everyday, you'll both have trust issues in the relationship. You won't trust that Jimin won't leave you, and Jimin won't trust that you still love him. You both need to move on first and then get back together, if you don't heal the trauma, it will come back and bite you in the ass."
Jungkook did not expect to hear that much from Yoongi in one breath, and he was more astonished at the fact that Yoongi was right and they couldn't get back together right away.
It made him sad, but it also awakened a feeling of determination all the same, and Jungkook promised himself that he will start to take this seriously, instead of just going with the flow and counting the days until he could get back together with his Jiminie, it being what he was doing at the time.
In the five days Jungkook and Jimin had until they could both be reunited, Jungkook continued to write songs, listen to songs, write random thoughts in his journal, and he slowly found out that this was meant to be, and this was just another block in their road that they had to walk through. They couldn't jump over it, they couldn't ignore it, they both had to face it, so that they can continue to be together and love each other and build a future.
Jungkook knew what his intentions with Jimin were. It was marriage and kids and growing old together, and other than the few times Jungkook got insecure like any normal human being, he knew Jimin felt the same, and in order to reach that, they had to heal together, they had to open their wounds so that they can clean it and he knew it was going to take time, even if all he wanted was to be in Jimin's arms, he knew what the right thing to do was.
He also realized that despite the negative situation they were both in, they had the chance to do something that they did not get the chance to do when they first started dating, which was literally to date.
They both kind of jumped into the relationship head first, and also jumped into bed together too soon. They did not get the dating experience where they go on dates every week and text and speak on the phone all day, and walk each other home after every date, and kissing goodbye with the promise of another date the next week. They both did not get that experience, and when Jungkook realised this and said it to Jimin one time, they got so giddy that they forgot about the fact that they were both hurting and in the process of mending their relationship.
My catalyst: oh, you want to go on a date with me? Do you perhaps like me, Jungkook-ssi?
(Sent: 4:38 am)
My catalyst: I don't know what to say, Jungkook-ssi. You surprised me with this. I wasn't expecting it.
(Sent: 4:38 am)
My catalyst: but I will have to say that um.. I think I like you too.
(Sent: 4:39 am)
My catalyst: god, I can't believe I just said that. Oh my god.
(Sent: 4:40 am)
My lovely: idiot.

In the five days Jimin had until he and Jungkook could be reunited, he went back to therapy, and updated his old therapist on the last happenings in his life.
Jimin had caught the look of disappointment that quickly flashed across his therapist's face when he told her he had broken up with Jungkook, and he delved deep into why he thought he did that, which she confirmed he was right about a minute later. She told him that throughout all of their therapy sessions, one thing was clear; Jimin did not love himself and could not accept the good things he had in his life, including Jungkook- especially Jungkook.
She had told him that was what she feared the most back when he saw her consistently. She feared that Jimin saw some sort of imbalance in his life, that he wasn't convinced he deserved what he had in his life; the fame, the money, the fans, Jungkook. She knew he believed that he might deserve some of these thing, but not all of them, so he had to let go of some things and keep the others, thus, leaving Jungkook.
The session took four hours, and after Jimin had exhausted his soul by opening all of his old wounds, he sat in his car crying when it was too much, when his vision of himself was clear. He saw himself, saw his true vulnerable self and he hated it, wanted it gone, wanted to look away from the person he knew he was, so he called Jungkook.
"Hi, baby! How was your session?" Jungkook's cheerful voice came through, which instantly had the calming effect on Jimin, who wiped the tears from his face, only for more to come out silently.
"I'm fucked up, J-Jungkook."
Jungkook frowned, almost angrily. "You're not."
"H-How can you say that? You're the one p-person who knows me the most. You're the o-only person who sees the real me. Who knows I'm not capable of loving myself, wh-"
"And that's why I know what I'm saying when I tell you you're not fucked up. You're one of the most kind hearted people in this world, if not the kindest. You not loving yourself doesn't mean you're fucked up. You have so much love in your heart that you're selfless enough to spend it on the people you love and not on yourself. I don't know what you think that might tell you, but it tells me that you're an angel that we're lucky to have walking on earth with us. Jimin, you're-" Jungkook took a deep breath. "You honestly have no idea how great you are, but I'll make you see. You'll see one day just how amazing you are, and I'll be beside you then."
Jimin had continued to cry in the car, with Jungkook's soothing voice coming though the speakers, softly listing all the things he loved about Jimin, and Jimin closed his eyes and pretended to hear Jungkook's voice from right beside him, not from a phone speaker. He pretended to feel the vibrations from Jungkook's chest when he spoke, because he would have his head on his chest, right on top of his heart.
Jimin drove home that day, with Jungkook still on the phone with him, feeling a little bit better after letting out those emotions and he knew it was just the begining and that it will get better. He will get better. He'll do it because he knows it's the only way he could have Jungkook and the word forever in one sentence.
Those five days might have been the longest time they both had to bear, and Jimin distracted himself by reading books that his therapist had recommended, telling him it was his homework for the time being, and that they should maybe meet every two days, if he wanted to have a fast recovery. Jimin had agreed to this, and by going to therapy, reading books, texting and facetiming Jungkook, Jimin found that the five days were over. Just like that.
Because they were both little shits, they agreed to cheat their counselor and meet at midnight, and stay together until the next midnight. Which meant they were going to spend twenty four hours together. Not that it was enough for them, but it had to do for now.
My catalyst: I'm here.
(Sent: 11:59)
With a little squeak, Jungkook jumped from his bed, running to the front door, not caring about his loud footsteps that might wake Yoongi and Taehyung up.
Before Jimin could blink, the door was opened, and he let out a loud laugh when he was pulled into Jungkook and dragged inside, hearing the door click shut behind him.
"I missed you. I missed you. I missed you!"
Jimin continued to laugh, his head on Jungkook's shoulder. "I missed you more. Let me look at your face." He pulled away, moving to hold Jungkook's face, studying his features, making sure his cheeks were still chubby, and there was that usual glint in his eyes, as well as red in his cheeks.
He swallowed, getting the urge to kiss Jungkook, but not knowing if he should. They didn't talk about it.
Jungkook was still lost in Jimin's eyes, his hands on Jimin's waist still, so he carefully lifted Jimin up a little, and started to walk to their room. "God, I missed this."
"What? Me carrying you to our room?" Jungkook teased.
"Yeah." Jimin sighed, just as he was gently thrown on the bed by Jungkook, who crawled in after, and settled on top of Jimin, resting his head on his chest.
Jungkook sighed in content. "I miss living with you, hyung."
Jimin frowned. "Where did that come from?"
"What do you mean?"
"The hyung part."
Jungkook lifted his head, his chin resting on Jimin still. "Well, you know-" He said, looking away in embarrassment.
Jimin smiled softly, moving his hand to rub Jungkook's back under his shirt, moving his hand up and down over soft warm skin. "You miss your hyung, don't you?"
"Yeah." Jungkook said, lifting his hand to hold Jimin's neck, feeling his pulse under his fingertips.
"I'm sorry, baby."
"Don't be. This happened for a reason. Our relationship is just getting tested, and it's strong enough to get through this." Jungkook told Jimin softly, moving his head so he was looking up at Jimin. "It's just that- I got so used to you taking care of me, I miss it. No one ever took care of me like you do, hyung."
Jimin smiled, his eyes shining with so many different emotions, and he moved to turn both of them, laying Jungkook down on his back only to hover on top of him, softly moving away the hair from his forehead. "And I'll keep taking care of you. Your hyung is still here, and I'm not going anywhere, I promise."
Jungkook looked up at Jimin with awe, not believing the beautiful sight in front of him was not a dream. Jimin really was an angel, looking down at him with that soft smile, holding so much love for Jungkook in his eyes. "Kiss me."
Leaning down with the same smile, Jimin pecked Jungkook's lips, about to lean back when he was pulled into another kiss by Jungkook's hand on his neck.
"Hey, that's not enough."
Letting out a sigh between kisses, Jimin decided to let go of the rules for a little, and kiss the love of his life like he meant it.
Jimin's hand was still rubbing the soft skin of Jungkook's back, his other hand holding his face, and Jungkook was pulling Jimin by the shirt desperately, as if they weren't already all over each other, his other hand was still on Jimin's neck, and he enjoyed feeling Jimin's fast heartbeat.
Once Jimin pulled away far enough just for Jungkook to breath, Jungkook whispered. "I know we c-can't- Can we just take our shirts off? I just wanna feel you."
"Of course." Jimin replied right away, pulling off his shirt, and helping Jungkook out of his, trying not to let his eyes linger for long, if not for the sake of trying not to make Jungkook uncomfortable - because what they were doing did not have sexual intentions - then for the sake of his own sanity.
Once Jungkook had his shirt off, he pulled Jimin in a hug, letting out a relived sigh. "Let's stay like this for a while."
Both men fell asleep like that, hugging half naked, and feeling more connected than they did in the last month and a half.
Taehyung and Yoongi had sneaked in when they both woke up and did not hear any noise coming from Jimin and Jungkook's room, deeming it safe enough for them to enter the room.
Yoongi had his palm covering Taehyung's eyes just in case, only to find Jimin and Jungkook sleeping face to face, hugging tightly even in their sleep, a peaceful look on Jungkook's face that Yoongi hadn't seen for the last week, or better yet ever since Jungkook came home that one day with a pale face.
The scene from a little far away felt too intimate and Yoongi felt his heart clench from the beautiful sight that he forgot he still had his hand covering Taehyung's eyes. "What? Is it not safe to look?" Taehyung had whispered, and Yoongi uncovered his eyes silently, and Taehyung blinked his eyes open, and looked at the pair, letting out a soft "Oh." after.
"Let's go, and wake them up around eight, so they have time to spend together." Yoongi whispered, pulling Taehyung out of the room, and closing the door softly behind them.
"Hyung, they look so- so-"
"Yes." Yoongi said, a pained smile painting his face, and he walked away from Taehyung, moving to the kitchen, leaving Taehyung looking at his figure with guilt.
They were true to their promise of waking Jungkook and Jimin up after eight.
Groaning, Jimin moved closer to Jungkook, still with his arms around him.
"Come on, guys. You're gonna regret wasting the time sleeping."
Jungkook tutted, still half asleep, and he pulled Jimin's leg by his thigh to rest it on top of his own hip. "Okay. Okay." He waved his hand in the air, and his hyungs took it as a sign to leave the room. "Jiminie, wake up." Jungkook whispered, raising Jimin's head by his chin, so he could look at his face. "Babe." He leaned down to kiss him, rubbing his thigh at the same time, and even though Jimin refused to open his eyes, he responded to Jungkook's touches, by placing his hand between them on Jungkook's stomach, trailing his palm up and down, and kissing Jungkook back. "Oh, so now you're awake."
"You expect me to stay asleep when you're touching me like that?" Jimin said, making a point by moving closer to Jungkook, so that their fronts were glued together.
Jungkook let out a loud laugh at the action. "Looks like we both need a shower. Come on." He said, lifting off the covers and pulling Jimin up with him.
Jimin finally opened his eyes, giving Jungkook a lazy smile. "What kind?" He wiggled his eyebrows.
"A cold one!" Jungkook rebutted with a laugh.
Jimin huffed jokingly, still getting pulled to the bathroom. "You know, you look really beautiful in the morning, right?"
Jungkook laughed harder. "Flattery will get you nowhere, and you can barely even open your eyes."
Jimin shrugged. "It was worth a shot."
"You seriously did not have to wash you hair twice. You're gonna damage it."
Jimin closed his eyes, the feeling of the towel running though his hair relaxing. Jungkook continued to dry his hair, pouting at the damaged ends.
"Can you leave your hair to me from now on? I'll take care of it for you." Jungkook muttered, throwing the towel away in the hamper and reaching for the hair serum he often used.
"Oh, and I can't wash it for five day? Count me in." Jimin joked, sticking out his tongue at Jungkook.
"Gross, hyung!" Jungkook complained, turning Jimin around easily, and massaging his fingers through Jimin's scalp. "And I forgot. God, when can we just go back to living together?"
"Should I answer that?"
"Are you god?"
"Sometimes I am, when I have you scre-"
"Okay, okay! You made your point."
They went quiet after that, with a cheeky smile on Jimin's face, that was wiped away when Jungkook kept massaging his scalp, and he let out weird noises.
"Keep quiet. They're gonna think we're doing something we're not." Jungkook whispered.
"It wouldn't be the first time." Jimin shrugged. "And I don't think they're paying us attention."
"Yeah, you're right." Jungkook nodded. "Actually, hyung, I think there's something going on between these two."
"No, Taehyung would tell me." Jimin replied calmly.
"Like you told him about us? Or maybe tell you when you're going through shit in your life?" Jungkook pointed out, finally taking his hands away from Jimin's hair, and washing them in the sink behind them.
"Hey, that was harsh." Jimin frowned, making a point of knocking on the marble tops.
"Sorry, baby." Jungkook quickly apologized, leaning to kiss Jimin's temple. "I just meant that Taehyung hyung is too considerate, especially when it comes to you."
Jimin sighed. "Yeah, I know." He sled off the marble counter, moving to stand in front of Jungkook, slowly wrapping his arms around his small waist. "So tell me, Jungkook-ssi, what's the plan for today, hmm?" He said, throwing his head back to look at Jungkook, who still had a towel around his waist, and another one on his shoulders, collecting water falling from his hair.
Jungkook just looked at Jimin for a while, not answering, a small amused smile on his face. "Depends," Jungkook breathed, moving to hold Jimin's hips in return. "Want to have our date inside? Outside?" He tilted his head. "On the roof?"
"Ohh, Jungkook-ssi, you wanna relive our day hundred don't you?" Jimin teased, brushing Jungkook's nose with his.
"Why not?" Jungkook shrugged. "Everyday is an anniversary with you anyway." He leaned slightly down to brush the words against Jimin's lips.
Jimin blushed, hitting Jungkook's shoulder with a smile on his face. "Let's go get dressed, you flirt!" He turned around to walk into the bedroom, missing how Jungkook looked at him go, still standing in place, wishing for the day not to end.
"Do you think this is a good idea?"
Taehyung turned to Yoongi, from his place on the couch. The older was sitting normally on the couch and had Taehyung legs on his lap, while Taehyung had his back resting on the arm of the couch. "You're asking me?"
Yoongi made a quick scan of the living room, and the open kitchen, and he turned to Taehyung again to shake his head. "No."
Taehyung rolled his eyes. "I don't know, but I guess they deserve that much at least." He finally answered. "Don't tell me you wouldn't do the same." Taehyung hinted, looking away from Yoongi and back at the TV screen.
Staring a little too hard, Yoongi had his eyes on Taehyung, who was shifting a little, and after a long moment, Yoongi replied. "I wouldn't."
Taehyung turned his head to Yoongi too fast he almost got a whiplash. "What? You mean if-"
"I'd do worse." He said instead, giving Taehyung that coy smile of his that Taehyung hated and loved so much.
Rolling his eyes again, Taehyung pulled his legs to crawl beside Yoongi instead, and rested his head on his shoulders. "How so?" He said with a sigh.
Yoongi was about to lift his arm and wrap it around Taehyung when-
"Oh, what do we have here?"
The couple walked out to the living room, dressed and ready to go to their breakfast date, having seen the interaction between the couple? -Were they?- on the couch.
Yoongi froze, when he rarely did, so Taehyung was the one to move away, turning to look at the couple standing by the front door, dressed in black -their iconic look- holding hands. "What? I was just cuddling hyung?"
"Oh? He's just cuddling hyung. Did you hear that, babe?" Jimin teased, turning to Jungkook.
"Yeah, no big deal just cuddling hyung, honey." Jungkook emphasized on the slip up Taehyung had a few days ago.
When Taehyung's face turned red from their teasing, Yoongi answered them. "Hey, you brats, aren't you supposed to be on your way out or something? Go on. Go. Let me have some peace and quiet, aish." Yoongi grumbled, waiving them away.
"Did you hear that? Taehyung's new nickname is peace and quiet!" Jungkook joked, opening the door, and pulling Jimin outside before Yoongi's slipper could hit their heads.
"Disrespectful brats!"
"You like this?"
Jimin turned to the love of his life, a smile on his face, his fingers playing with the threads sticking out of the thin sheet they got spread out on the grass, with breakfast that they got from the nearest market splayed out in front of them.
"I'd kiss you to prove it if we weren't in public." Jimin flirted, reaching for his drink, and taking a sip.
A big smile formed on Jungkook's face. "I'll hold you to that." He promised, leaning into Jimin's space. "Once we're home."
Letting out a small squeal, Jimin laughed shyly, and fell to his side. "Home, huh?" He smiled.
"Well, it's home now, but once you're gone, it's not once again." Jungkook said sincerely, tilting his head so he could look into Jimin's eyes in the position his boyfriend was in.
Were they boyfriends?
"What's gotten into you?" Jimin covered his face, flustered.
Jungkook sighed at the adorable sight. "Just missed you."
Jimin cleared his throat. "You're not angry at me?"
"What for?"
"You know," Jimin shrugged, sitting up, and looking away.
Jungkook took a quick look around, before he reached to touch Jimin's hand. "Well, are you going to break up with me again?" He asked jokingly, but with a hint of seriousness in his eyes.
Jimin shook his head, turning his hand so he could clutch it into Jungkook's. "I would never do that to you again. I would rather die than to see me hurting you again, baby."
"I know, hyung. That's why I'm not mad at you or angry anymore. I love you, and I'm over it."
"You make it so hard for me not to kiss you right now." Jimin grinned, his body aching to do something and show Jungkook just how much he loves him, if only they weren't in public.
"Lets go home if you're done eating. I wanna cuddle." Jungkook said, his eyes squinting from the sun and his jaw hurting from how much he was smiling, heart warm.
"Lets go cuddle! What my Kookie wants, my Kookie gets."
Both boys put away their trash in a plastic bag, and the leftovers in another one, and then wrapped up the blanket, and hurried to the car.
As soon as they went inside the tinted car, Jungkook was pulled by his cheeks to Jimin, who peppered his face with kisses, finishing with his lips that Jungkook had to adjust so he could kiss him properly.
Jimin pulled away, only to pull Jungkook's head to his chest, and kiss his soft hair.
"You're the most precious thing to me in this whole world. I want you to know that my stupid doubt that made me think leaving you was the right decision, has learned now that I cannot ever live without you, or even leave you and not be the one to put a smile on your face every second of every day. I will never leave you and go through that again- I will not let you go through that again. I wont ever let go of you ever again. Trust me on that." Jimin let out, finishing with another kiss to Jungkook's head, who has tightened his hold on his hyung's waist. "Hyung will love you forever."
Jungkook moved to pull away so he could look into Jimin's eyes. "I want you to love me from this close. I don't want your love from far away. I don't want you loving me by leaving me because you think it's best for me. I want you to discuss your feelings with me, your decisions- our decisions with me. Please never be with your thoughts alone. Always talk to me, and I'll make sure these thoughts leave you like they never came, just hold on to me okay?"
Jimin leaned more into Jungkook, whispering the promise into his lips. "Okay." He nodded. "Now take us home so I can cuddle the shit out of you." He pulled his hands away from holding Jungkook's soft hair.
Laughing, Jungkook pulled away to start the car, and pulled out of the driveway, speeding home.
Once they made it to their apartment, they hesitated in opening the door, giving each other the same look, before shrugging and pushing the door open.
"Do you think they're up to something?" Jimin whispered, walking in and taking off his shoes.
"How about," Jungkook started, pushing Jimin by his shoulders to the door, and leaning down to whisper in his ear. "You worry about how we have less than 12 hours left together, hmm?"
Jimin smiled shyly, wrapping his arms around Jungkook's neck. "Yes, sir." He giggled.
Jungkook huffed. "Jimin." He groaned.
Jimin laughed harder, his body falling into Jungkook's, who could only smile and hold his Jimin.
"That was gross." Yoongi complained, walking out of the guest room he shared with Taehyung, having just woken up from their nap.
Jungkook groaned more, his ears turning red, which had Jimin laughing once again, and holding Jungkook's head that he moved to burry in Jimin's chest in embarrassment. "Just go, hyung." Jimin said, still holding Jungkook until Yoongi went to the kitchen. "Baby, come on let's go change." Jimin swayed them to the left so Jungkook could move.
"No, thank you. I'm good here. I'm never showing my face to hyung again after this."
Jimin didn't know he could laugh any harder than he already was. "Come on you baby." He pulled Jungkook to their room, not strong enough to carry him so Jungkook was kind enough to let himself be dragged away.
Once they were in the room, Jimin threw Jungkook on the bed, and breathed heavily. "God, you're heavy!"
"You wound me, dear." Jungkook joked, getting comfortable on the bed.
Jimin began to take off his clothes. "It's those muscles, I swear." He muttered, looking through Jungkook's clothes to find anything comfortable to wear, and Jungkook sat back and enjoyed the view.
"Aha." Jungkook muttered absentmindedly.
"Seriously, you need to lay off working out a little, you'll turn into the hulk." He finally took one of Jungkook's new white shirts, and pulled it over his head, and seeing as it was a new one which was oversized on Jungkook, it was practically a dress on Jimin, but the material was soft and warm, and it had Jungkook's smell, so Jimin loved it, even thought he could get away with stealing it.
"Mhm." Jungkook hummed, not listening to a word Jimin was saying, not when Jimin walked around their room in the oversized shirt, with one sleeve falling of one of his shoulders, and his hair messy from taking off his clothes.
"But I guess if you'd like to build your body more, I wouldn't necessarily hate it, I mean- just you being able to carry me everywhere is a bonus i guess-" He continued to ramble, turning around to see Jungkook spacing out and looking at him- looking at his body in a way he hasn't in a long time, which made Jimin feel torn between putting on more clothes, or giving into that look Jungkook was giving him. "Jungkook." Jimin whispered, holding into his shirt shyly.
Jungkook finally looked up at Jimin's face. "Yes?"
"Did you hear a word I just said?" He asked.
Jungkook nodded. "Of course. You wanna watch the hulk."
Jimin's eyes widened. "Yeah, yeah, that's what I said while you were too busy looking at my ass." He sassed, hands on his hips, and he leaned down to grab Jungkook's sweatpants off the floor. "Come on, let's go watch the hulk."
"Come on, baby. How could I not? Just look at you." Jungkook argued, getting up from the bed to crowd Jimin's space.
Starting to get flustered from Jungkook's close proximity, Jimin pushed his chest gently. "Change."
"Okay." Jungkook obeyed, but not without holding Jimin up, and throwing him on the bed, crawling in after him.
"Kook." Jimin whined.
"What? I just wanna play a little." Jungkook defended, smiling softly before lifting Jimin's shirt up to tickle him.
"Jungkook!" Jimin screamed, kicking his legs, and shrieking with laugher. "S-Stop!"
"Alright, alright. I'll stop tickling." Jungkook promised, before he leaned down to put his lips on Jimin's stomach and blow raspberries.
"Ahh! Stop it!" Jimin laughed, unable to breathe, and in his state, he reached his hand to Jungkook's neck, tickling him where he knew he was most sensitive, which had the reaction of Jungkook squirming, and moving his face away, and gave Jimin the opportunity to move out of bed and away from him. "Stay away from me!" He laughed, running around the room until he reached the door.
Jungkook turned to run after Jimin to the living room, and then around the kitchen, Yoongi and Taehyung watching from their place on the loveseat. "Come here, baby." Jungkook made grabby hands at Jimin who was on the other side of the living room.
"No!" Jimin yelled with a laugh, starting to run again, but Jungkook was two steps ahead, and was able to capture him. "Ah! Help! Help!" Jimin laughed hysterically, fighting against Jungkook's strong hold, which had him held from behind, with his feet off the ground.
"You're not going anywhere!" Jungkook said in a scary voice. "Hulk smash!" He added, just to make Jimin laugh, and walked again to their room, with Jimin laughing in his hold.
The pair on the couch shook their heads at their silly antics, wondering if that was how they were like when they lived alone together.
Jungkook was the one to throw Jimin on the bed this time, without complaining about his weight that is, and started to take his clothes off so he could change and go cuddle with Jimin in front of the TV, maybe actually watch the hulk.
Jimin was trying to catch his breath on the bed, trying and failing to with the sight in front of him. It seemed like everyday, Jungkook got bigger and bigger, and Jimin tried to remember the days when Jungkook was just a small kid, but now his board shoulders were twice the size of his own, and he could hide behind him and disappear easily, and not to mention be carried around everywhere with little to no effort.
Once Jungkook was dressed, he turned to a blushing Jimin again. "Want hulk to carry you to the living room too?"
Jimin bit his lip, and nodded.
Just to get a laugh out of Jimin again, Jungkook lifted him and threw him on his shoulder like a sack of potatoes, and walked again to the living room.
"Stop torturing my soulmate, you monster!" Taehyung joked from his place beside Yoongi, who had a manga in his hand they were both reading.
"Hulk smash." Jungkook answered, before he lowered Jimin on the couch in front of the TV gently.
"Come here, you idiot." Jimin laughed, reaching to hold Jungkook's cheek, and give him a quick kiss, before he pulled him to sit down beside him, and pulled up Netflix so they could pick something to watch.
Once settled, Jimin gently moved Jungkook so he could rest his head against his chest, and hold him close like he promised. Jungkook in turn, got comfortable laying his head on his chest and wrapped his arms around his waist, kissing the spot on top of his heart and feeling a kiss in his hair from Jimin.
"I love you, baby. Hyung loves you a lot." He whispered.
Jungkook looked up at Jimin, and Jimin swore he saw a glimpse of the sixteen year old kid smiling up at him the first time he bought him food. "I love you too, hyung." He said, leaning up for a kiss, and knowing that as long as Jimin kept his promise of not letting go, they'll be fine.
