Chapter 20

Zeak's pov

As I sit in the bath tub I can here my phone going off and it won't stop. I know that it's Josh and Hensley calling by the sound of their ringtones. I don't want to talk to Hensley because I'm a mess and I sure and hell don't want to talk to Josh because I'm pissed off at him.

"Zeak open the door." Hensley says from the other side. Uggh. I forgot she had a key to the front door.

" I can't. I'm in the tub." I reply.

"I know how to pick a lock so don't make the pregnant woman with a baby on her hip mad, okay Boo?" she says and walks away.

I get out if the bath because I know she's not kidding around, and go into the living room.

"Why didn't you call me?" he a key asked facing me from the other end of the couch.

" because you did so much for me and to make this trip happen, and I didnt want to disappoint you by telling you I came home." I say looking down.

"Zeak im not mad or disappointed at yoh." she says pulling me in for a hug while Sam played on the floor.

"Why did he lie to me? I don't understand why he would do that. He told me that he would only be gone 3 weeks when he knew it was going to be eight weeks or longer."

"I don't know Boo. I'm sorry I did this." she says.

"No. You shouldn't be. Your the most amazing friend i could ask for. You tried to do something so special for me and it just didn't work out." I said. We just set there after that for awhile.

"Its passed Sam's bedtime. Let me just go out him to bed upstairs and then I will be back down." she says getting up.

"No Hens, it's okay. Im fine. You should go home and be with Nate." I assure her.

"Are you sure? I can stay if you would like for me to."

"No. Go home." I say getting up to kiss her head and Sam's small cheek.

It was around 2am when I heard the door open. I was sitting on the couch watching the fire in the fire place.

"Zeak..." I put my head down and let a single tear fall down my face.

"Why are you here Josh?" I asked him.

"Please Zeak. Im so sorry." he said walking over to me.

"For what? Lying right to my face or over the phone?" I stand up and raise my voice at him.

"Both Zeak. Please" he beggs.

"Why did you do it? Why did you lie to me Josh?" I cry "was it because you wanted to be away from me and so you lied so you could do that?"

"God no Zeak! I don't know why I did it. I'm so sorry." he cried.

"What else have you lied to me about?" I asked.

"Nothing. I've never lied to you before. I swear on my life. I love you so much. I would never want to hurt you and I will never forgive myself for doing so now." he crys. "Im sorry. I have no excuses or reason. All I know is that I love you more than life itself and I already have the case to someone else. Im not leaving again, and if do I will make sure you come with me. I promise I will never lie to you again. Please don't hate me." he crys out looking up at me.

"Josh get up" I say pulling him up off of the floor. "I don't hate you Josh. I love you more than anythng in this world, i was just pissed off at you." I said hugging him. "Your the only person I want to spend my life with" I say and kiss him.

Ugh he makes me so mad but when I kiss him it all goes away. I love the feeling of his ruff lips moving against my soft ones.

"I was going to do this tomorrow. Well actually i guess it would be today but much later. Our plans defiantly took a wrong course." I say getting down on my knee. "Your the only one for me..."

"Zeak stop." Josh says pulling away from me. My heart just completely shattered. He rejected me.

"What? No!" Josh yelled.

I guess I said that out loud.

"No Zeak i didn't reject you." he said bringing back his bag over with him as he walked back to me. " I was going to give you this when i came back." he says pulling out a little black box and getting on his knee. He opened the box and pulled out a black band with 4 diamonds.

All I did was laugh. "That's the same one I got you. Except I got it engraved on the inside." I pull the ring out of my jacket pocket that was laying on the couch.

"Let me guess. It says always and forever on it." he smiles.

"How the hell did you know that?" I asked showing him the ring.

"Because" he pulled out his. "Its what I wrote for you."

We both laugh and hug each other.

"Yes." I say.

"What?" Josh asks.

"Yes. I will marry you" I kiss him hard.

"My answer is yes to you as well" he says.

"Well I will wear mine until our wedding day." I tell him and take the ring from him and put it on my finger.

"Then so will I" he says as he puts his on.
