Chapter 5

Two weeks have passed by and today I have a court case on murder. It's days like today that make what I do hard. My client is a 32 year old man whose wife was shot in the heart by his own brother. Luckily this Caitlin case won't take long because I have the video from across the street for proof.

" I would like to call Samuel Johnson to the stand please your honor " I said after mr. Johnson was seated I begun.

" mr. Johnson is it true that you and your wife Sandra Johnson were married for 12 years?"

"Yes." Answered mr. Johnson

" mr. Johnson we were you on May 15th 2016 and what did you do that day?" I asked looking at him.

" I woke up at 9 a.m. at like every day.

I left the house at 10:30 to go to the gym I stayed there until 12 o'clock with a good friend of mine. After that we went out to lunch. I arrived back home around 2:15 p.m. only to find my wife and brother in my bed together." he answered looking directly at me the whole time.

" mr. Johnson what was your first instinct to do after you found them together?"

" I yelled at the both of them Ben kicked my brother out. Pack my bags and then left. Sandra knew I was staying at my friend Ben's house and came around about 10:30 that night. We sat down and talked about what had happened and we agreed to stay together for kids 2nd we went back home."

" what happens on the morning of the next day?" I asked.

" I did my same routine I left at 10:30 to go to the gym when I arrived at the gym 30 minutes later I realized I forgot my gym card at home so I went back to get it..." he couldn't even finish because he was crying so hard.

" Mr Johnson I know this is hard for you but I need you to finish what you are saying please." I said softly.

" when I walked in I found my wife on the floor with two bullet holes in her chest." he all but wispered.

"Thank you Mr. Johnson. Your honor I would like to call Allan Johnson to the stand please." (the brother).

" mr. Allen when your brother walked in on you and his wife what did you do."I asked.

" I didn't do anything. I tried to talk to him but like he said he kicked me out."

" so you waited for your brother to kick you out before you went back inside where you tried to convinse Sandra Johnson to run away with you but instead she chose her husband and she left to go to him and you stayed to plan your revenge. You left for the night to go buy a gun and the next morning and you came and shot her!" I said raising my voice.

" objection!" yelled his lawyer.

" you and I both know that I have the proof of this man murdering Sandra Johnson. What I don't understand is why he shot her twice. You knew it would kill her if you shot her once, so why twice?" I asked turning around to face Allan.

" because! Because he deserved to know how it felt when she left me and was going to kill our baby! That's right she's 2 months pregnant with MY baby!" he yelled at his brother.

" Allan Johnson you are under arrest for the murder of Sandra Johnson 40 years in prison and no parole case dismissed!" the judge said.

After the jury left, my clients and I walked out of the courthouse to our vehicles. Before getting in my car I felt eyes staring at me. When I turned around I look directly and to Alan Johnson cold dark eyes. Not wanting to make matters any worse than they are I got into my car and began to drive away. But before I could get all the way onto the road to the normal speed limit I heard a gunshot and saw a car coming directly at me. I couldn't even mash my brakes before everything went completely black.
